Missing browser plug-ins

Hi,
I have LabVIEW 2011 installed in my PC and the labview program runs on it while communication with hardware via c-RIO. I have Mozilla browser plugins installed for LabVIEW Run-Time 2011. When I try to reinstall LabVIEW plug-ins, it says a higher version is already installed. When i try to run the same program on a web browser as html, it says plug-in missing. What are the possible solutions for this?

Not really sure if you still really need help in this but did you install any LabVIEW plugins that is of higher version than the one you are installing? What is the Modzilla browser plugins that you are trying to install? Have you tried using IE instead?

How do I upgrade Skype browser plug ins?

One of my system checker programs said that I should update to the latest Skype, so I just updated to 5.10.0.116 and I reran my checker program and it said that I should update the Skype browser plug ins, but I don't know how to do that. Both my Skype Browser Helper and Click to Call are 5.9.0.9216. How do I get the latest browser files? If it matters, I have Win 7.

Missing InDesign plug-ins after installing on new machine running WIN 7

After installing Adobe InDesign CS3 (version 5.0) on a new computer running Windows 7 Professional, InDesign cannot open a file I created 30 days ago on a machine running the same version of InDesign and Windows XP Professional. I repeat, there have been no changes in InDesign versions !!
The error message indicates a boat load of plug-ins are missing. The first error message indicates WORLDREADY.RPLN and CONDITIONALTEXT.RPLN were missing. After clicking OK, the second error message indicates these plug-ins are missing: ASSIGNMENTS.RPLN, TEXT.RPLN, SPREAD.RPLN, MASTERPAGE.RPLN, IMAGE.RPLN, TEXTATTRIBUTES.RPLN, GENERICPAGEITEM.RPLN, TEXTWRAP.RPLN, CJKTEXTATTRIBUTES.RPLN, SCRIPTING.RPLN, LINKS.RPLN, INCOPYSHARED.RPLN, XLM.RPLN, CJKGRID.RPLN, TOC.RPLN, INDEXING.RPLN, HPERLINKS.RPLN, PACKAGEANDPREFLIGHT.RPLN, WORKGROUP.RPLN, APPFRAMEWORK.RPLN, and DOCUMENTFRAMEWORK.RPLN.
From the Help menu within InDesign, I click Updates. A series of updates for all my Adobe software were installed, bringing inDesign CS3 to version 5.0.4 yet
InDesign still refuses to open my previously created file.
The only other suggestion your help files suggest is upgrading my inDesign software to CS5 to which my company will not agree.
HELP !!!!

The file properties are shown in the attached screen shot indicating InDesign CS3 was used not CS4 or CS5. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Missing Mail Plug-ins?

I sent an email containing a couple of jpg's.
In the conversation view, my sent email has a blank space for each jpg's with the words "Missing Plug-in".
Are there really some missing plug-ins or does this mean something else?

My daughter sent me 2 photos from within iPhoto & I could not open them either. My email also has a blank space and the "Missing plug-ins". That is the case with both my MacBook (OS X 10.6.8) & my iMac (OS X 10.7.1). I eventually copied the photos to the desktop & imported them to iPhoto. Some wrong here!!

InDesign misses 150+ plug ins, then shuts itself down.

Cannot launch inDesignCC. Downloaded it, then when I try to launch the program: After some 150+ messages about missing plug-ins, it shuts itself down. This means I cannot deactivate the program either. (and re-install, see if that would help). Anyone who knows about this problem?

No need to deactivate to reinstall on the same machine, but you might want to use the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3)

E50 missing Standby Plug-ins

After upgrading to 07.36.0.0, Standby plug-ins are not available anymore, and when selected ("Menu > Settings > Phone > Standby Mode > Active Standby Plug-ins") all I get is "No data" instead of the usual apps list. Orange UK (business) replaced my phone twice because of this, and each time it was deliverred with 07.36 fitted, but missing the option to enter "Active Standby Plug-ins". Orange UK are passing this on to Nokia. This is a major bug that will need correcting.

you're probably trying to open a logic 9 song in logic 8. pedalboard, ampdesigner are only included in logic (express) 9. but how did you try to update? did you try to update to logic express 9?

Missing extensions/plug-ins for Safari.

So, I recently had a virus/malware scare and to take care of it (which I did) I got rid of all extensions/plug ins for Safari.
I've currently only got Adobe Flash Player, and nothing else which is really hindering me. I've looked all over but I can't find out what the plug-ins or extensions I need are.
The most recent issue was something about Audio Midi when I couldn't play an audio thing online while looking for guitar chords stuff.
After that gave it a shot by asking Apple, but the closest Apple store is too far to be worth driving to and I can't afford $50 or however much it is to get the info/links/whatever I need.

There's no need to install Safari extensions if you don't wan to, however, there might want to check out the extensions gallery. You may find something useful.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Safari Extensions ...
To avoid malware, open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General
Make sure: Mac App Store and identified developers is selected.
If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

Browser Plug-ins?

Hey Gang,
I am embedding PDFs in HTML pages for a client of mine, and there are display issues in different browsers. When I attempt to view the pages w/PDFs in Firefox, I get a pop-up message which reads "Addidtional plugins are required to display all the media on this page."
Oddly, though, When I attempt to view the pages in Safari 4.0.4 no additional plugins are required. Is this because Safari already has an Adobe reader plugin as one of its standard features?
Also, would a user's copy of Adobe reader/Acrobat in their applications folder perform the same function displaying PDFs in webpages, or does the PDF reader functionality need to reside in the web browser itself (via a third-party plugin, etc)?
I hope these questions make sense! Any help would be appreciated!

Adobe has only saw fit to create a plugin that worked with Safari. Last version or two of Safari has PDF supoort built in. I belive the last update of Acrobat has even stripped out the Plugin, because of this native support.
For FireFox, SeaMonkey, Camino, OmniWeb, Opera, and iCab require the use of the PDG Browser Plugin by Schubert of Germany. (google for it). It will allow you to view and save the Pdf through the browser. The only thing it won't do is fill in forms . We lost that ability with the adobe Plugin, when they switched to OSX in Version 6. version 5 of the Acrobat plugin worked with anything and did allow for filling of forms. The PC version even today allows for that and works with anything.

Including sound file and browser plug-ins

I've done som PDF:s with included soundfiles. I'm running XP and have the latest Acrobat Reader installed. When opening the docs from the web-site it looks just fine no matter what web-browser is used. The icon to play the sound file is there and the sound plays.
However, I just tested it from the customers Mac and from that machine there was no player button represented. I would be most greatful if someone in this forum has specific knowledge about mini requirements (OS/Browsers/Acrobat version) for those PDF:s to be able to display a play button?

You can't convert to .idml by changing the file extension. You must export the file from the oringal version as a .idml file.
That said, you can use jongware's script to identify the version of the file, even if it won't open: Adobe Forums: [Ann] Identify Your InDesign File
That said, InBooklet SE was part of InDesign CS3, but I see it listed inthe plugins used. I also see a number of what look like third-party plugins listed, and that may be the problem. What's happening when you try to open the file?

Unable to open Livecycle forms even with latest plug-ins

Hi guys,
I have a created a few dynamic forms designed using livecycle designer ES..In order for my users to open these forms, they need to have atleast Adobe acrobat / reader version 8.1 or higher to view these dynamic files. However, quite a few of my users are saying that they are still unable to open these forms directly from their browser although they have downloaded the latest Acrobat X version and the browser plug-ins in their computer. It happens to both windows and mac computers. But they are able to download these files and open it directly from their adobe reader though. It happens with all browsers for them...some of them have even called up mac support as well as adobe support and they were advised that it could be a problem with my forms that I find hard to believe since it opens in my computer and opens for a lot of other users. Its only a few users still having difficulties and I can't understand why!
Also, I recently uploaded a dynamic file in acrobat file sharing. Why am I getting the below message when I have the latest adobe installed? I am able to open other dynamic forms in my browsers..why does this happen? I wonder if other user's problem is similar to this...not sure...
To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from etc...etc...etc..
What can be the problem when the adobe version is already updated and also the plug-ins are updated too?? I have read a lot of links in adobe site itself which suggest various methods to test out the forms, browsers, plug-ins, etc..but this problem still happens to some users even after trying out these troubleshoots. Can someone explain if there are other limitations or solution for these users?

I don't have an answer. However, since your question is not about Acrobat forms, but Designer forms, you need to ask in the LiveCycle forum that deals with Desginer forms.

Can't open CS3 file with my CS2 bc of plug-ins...please advise

I'm supposed to make revisions to a large book, client provided me with CS3 files that had been (supposedly) converted to open in CS2 but when I try to open it says first that I'm missing two plug-ins. When I click to proceed anyway, it lists a whole bunch of plug-in errors and says I can't open it unless I "Upgrade my plug-ins" or get the latest software.
I plan to get CS4...but I can't do it yet. And this job needs to get done asap. Any suggestions?

Are the files you are trying to open .indd or .inx? It sounds like they're still CS3 .indd files, and you need .inx to open in CS2 (plus you need to be fully patched to the last build).
There are going to be issues with any features that were used in CS3 that don't exist in CS2, as well as probable changes to how lines wrap inside text frames due to differences in the text engines. This is not a good round-trip file sharing method unless further editing can all be done in CS2.

"Plug-ins not currently available" keeps popping up. Cannot edit old or new files.

I just downloaded Illustrator CC a few days ago off of the creative cloud for my Mac OS X. I was able to work on projects and everything just fine. Today I tried opening the projects I had been working on, but what came up on all the files when I tried opening them was a window saying “The document ‘name of document.ai’ contains elements that are managed by plug-ins that are not currently available. You can delete or expand these elements but you cannot manipulate them in other ways. The miss plug-ins are listed below.” and there would be different plug-ins listed depending on what project it was. It would not let me edit anything on the AI files.
I tried restarting my computer but than for a while was not able to open AI at all and a window “Missing Required Plug-ins: PDF Format.aip” popped up and shut AI down every time. I looked up some troubleshooting online and found some advice for putting foreign plug-ins in a separate file and restarting AI holding “command, option, shift”. I did that and was able to open AI again, but the same problem and window as the first time came up.
I tried starting a new file, but the same message would pop up with and it called my new file “print.ai” even though I clearly didn’t make and name a file yet. I even tried creating a new file from template and using a stock template like “CD cover”… it opened up and I could move the shapes around, but still no creative tool bar. I can’t even get into AI preferences. Any help troubleshoot would be much appreciated.

The missing required plugin pdfformat.aip issue was there in some user machine on 17.1 update and the solution available unfortunately is to uninstall Ai and reinstall.
On what version of Ai are you facing this issue.
