Missing 'burn Cd' button in iTunes

I read the previous question about a lost burn CD button, but I have a play list in iTunes, the button still does not appear with songs selected.
I had selected the music that I wanted to burn, and followed instructions in the "help" box.
This iTunes is 7.5, on Mac Mini, with Matshita CD-RW CW8124 for the burner.
Thanks in advance.

I just want to confirm that you have actually created the playlist in iTunes, and that its name appears under the PLAYLISTS heading in the left-hand column of iTunes. If so, click on it, and you should see the Burn CD button in iTunes. It should be in the lower right-hand column of iTunes, and say "Burn Disc." If you do not have a playlist selected, you will not see it in iTunes.

  • Missing "burn disc" button and preferences

Since upgrading to iTunes 8 there is now no "burn disc "button at the bottom right hand corner [only the genius symbol and an arrow]. As well there is no longer the option to choose what kind of CD to burn i.e MP3,CD or Data , in preferences.

I read some other posts and one guy said you have to create a playlist in the side bar, then open the play list. Once you do that the burn disc button will appear. If you are showing you entire library, the button will not show.
I just tried it and it works.

  • Missing: burn CD button

...in the past, when I have created playlists, there is a "Burn CD" button on the bottom right corner of my Itunes window... for some reason the button is not there and now I am unable to burn CD's - HELP?
these playlists are under "my device" - is there a way to move these lists under the "Playlist" tab?? I am unable to drag them.

these playlists are under "my device".
that is probably it. you can only burn CDs from a playlist in your own itunes library (not shared playlists, or playlists on ipods):

  • Utunes 8  missing burn cd button

I cna't burn anything the icon isn't their since I updated itunes. When I clikc on the playlist the burn cd isn't even an option. Anyone can help me please?

Unless iTunes 8 for Windows is different from the Mac version, if the OP has updated to iTunes 8 (as it appears from the message title) then the burn preferences are no longer in the Advanced tab. They don't appear until you press Burn Disc when you get a burning option box where you set the options for each burn, unfortunately the OP isn't getting a Burn Disc button.

  • Button for iTunes scripts and iTunes Plug-Ins is gone in 7.3.x

In iTunes 7.3.x I am missing the upper button for iTunes scripts and ITunes Plug-Ins for the little add on programs like iTunes-BPM and iTunes-Lame.
Does anybody know a trick how I get this button to show up again?
I am talking about this button:

No idea why it's not working. Never seen this problem before.
Only thing I can think of is make sure the name of the Scripts folder is spelled correctly (not an extra space) /usr/library/iTunes/Scripts/.
Post over here -> AppleScripts for iTunes (Mac)

  • "burn disc" button is missing in iTunes preferences

I upgraded to 6.0.1 a few months back and haven't had time to actually burn anything (busy with life). Today, I wanted to burn a CD and went to iTunes preferences, and the "burn disk" button with all the options for MP3 and CD is missing.
I went to HELP looking to see if they moved it, but the instructions indicate it's supposed to be there under preferences.
    What gives?
    Thanks

  • ITunes missing pause/play/ / buttons

For the past month (I believe sometime around the time I updated itunes to iTunes 11) I have been missing the section on my iTunes window that has the pause, play, >>, and << buttons and shows the status of the song (time wise).  I am also missing the red, yellow, and green buttons on the upper left hand side and I am unable to click and drag the window around at all.  I have googled this problem for hours and come up with nothing.  Hoping someone here can help because for a long time the only way to stop a song from playing once it started was the quit iTunes.  Now, just today I figured out that I can open the miniplayer on top of my iTunes window and that is better than having to close out of iTunes altogether, but I'd still like the features that are in the miniplayer to be available to me on my screen all the time like they always were in the past.

    Hello 3isenuf,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
I'd like you to please reinstall iTunes by following the steps below.
    Download the latest installer
Open Safari or another web browser.
Go to the iTunes download webpage and click the Free Download button.
Make sure that the Mac OS X version is selected on that page.
Click the Download button to start the download.
Once the file is downloaded, a new Finder window appears containing two items (below). If a Finder window doesn't appear, locate the iTunesX.dmg file (where X is the iTunes version number) on the desktop (or wherever your downloads go) and double-click it to display these items:
A "Read Before You Install iTunes" file. This document contains the system requirements for the version of iTunes, and may contain other useful information about installing.
An iTunes.mpkg file (this is the installer file itself)
    Install iTunes
Quit iTunes if it is currently open.
Double-click the iTunes.mpkg file. This opens the Installer application in Mac OS X.
Follow the instructions in the installer screens. If all of the installation components appear unchecked and dimmed (unavailable, and therefore not installable), refer to Mac OS X iTunes installer components are disabled.
After the installation has completed, quit the Installer and restart the computer. The new version of iTunes appears on your hard disk in your Applications folder.
    Opening iTunes
It's possible that clicking the iTunes icon in your Dock or double-clicking an iTunes icon on your desktop could open an older version of iTunes. Open iTunes from the Applications folder to be sure you are opening the right version:
    Double-click your hard disk.
    Double-click the Applications folder.
    Double-click the iTunes icon.
If you notice another copy of iTunes in the Dock after following these steps, here's a way to take care of that:
    Quit iTunes.
Drag the iTunes icon out of the Dock.
Drag the iTunes icon from the Applications folder to the Dock.

Check out this Apple article -> iTunes for Windows: "Registry settings" warning when opening iTunes
The article will walk you through reinstalling iTunes and then checking for or creating device filters. Did it help? Did you run into any problems?

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • No burn button in itunes 10

After installing iTunes 10 I suddenly no longer have a 'burn playlist' button in the lower right hand corner of the iTunes window. I can still burn from the menu bar but I'm wondering where the burning button went. Now in the right hand corner of the iTunes window are the two buttons associated with Genius. Anyone know where the burn to disc button went to? Thanks!

ok, but where is the button?
There doesn't appear to be one. Perhaps this is something to do with Apple's stated position that CDs and DVDs are on the way out to be replaced by keeping things on the 'Cloud' (the silliest idea since the Sinclair C5).

  • Where's the "burn button" on  itunes version 10.2.1?

I'm trying to burn a playlist from itunes to a blank CD. I'm unable to locate the "burn" button on itunes and do not see it under "file" or anywhere else. I'm running itunes version 10.2.1. Can anyone tell me how to to command the itunes program to burn the playlist onto the blank CD. I'm 72 years old, "technologically challenged" so please exuse me if this seems like a stupid question. thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Again, excuse my ineptness but I don't know how to "right click" on the playlist. I selected the playlist I wish to burn onto the CD but my mouse doesn;t have a right click option.

  • Burn CD Button Missing

I am attempting to burn some of my Library tracks to CD and in all the help menus it states a "Burn CD" button exists on the lower right-hand corner of i-Tunes. I have two buttons in the lower right-hand corner, Quikly Browse Your Library (Eye Graghic) and Eject CD.
I am running Version 7.1.1 so there are no updates available. I have duel CD/DVD Writers that i-Tunes recognizes and will rip songs from them.
Everything else seems to work fine.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hey starmanres,
Is the computer running a version of Windows Vista(thats what shows in your profile?) Unfortunately iTunes and Windows Vista are currently not compatible. This article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305042 will tell you more about the compatibility and it will be updated when there are changes to the compatibility.
The tips in this article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93286 may resolve the issue though.
