Missing Business Partner Numbers

Dear all,
we are facing situation, that within 7.0 in Trx PPOMA_BBP, business partner numbers are not created for Organizational Units when created manually. The assignement of Business Partner numbers works e.g. replicating plants.
Is this a known bug? Any insight?
Cheers,
Claudia

Hi
Are address data are filled correctly country region code/ phone no. mail id in the org structure. specific format postal code phone no too.
even system validating all address/ phone fields/mail address.
if everything is ok. check no range for bp internal and manually create some bp via manabe bp via bp.
then we can narrow down where the exact problem.

  • Block documents due to missing business partner

    Hello to everyone,
I have problem with blocked documents in GTS due the missing external business partner account. I have to give for every blocked document, the business partner account manually in order to release the document. Eventhough the vendor master record has been correctly maintained, also on purchasing organization, I can not understand why the business partner account is missing in GTS. In Screedshot you can see first line is always blocked with block sign.
Can anybody help me to find the solution for that ?  Thanks in advance.
Please see attached screenshot (unfortunately avaliable in German language only, I hope you would understand).

    Hi Aman,
Thanks for your replay. I have again tested the Business parter transfer by changing in name field. The data was transfered sucessfully from R/3 to GTS.

  • Missing Business Partner

    Classic Scenario; SRM 5.0; R/3 46C
    Hi everyone,
I am a true novice when it comes to troubleshooting issues related to Business Partners.  My updated SRM Org Structure shows that there is a node w/ a business partner number 0000005409 under the Extended Attribute - Locations. And for the plant description, the line is blank.
However if I go to the transaction BP and search for this business partner 0000005409 - I receive the message "0 Business Partner Found."  Has anyone encountered something like this?
I think when we did the upgrade from EBP 3.5 to SRM 5.0 there was a failed operation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

Thank you again for your response Gordan.
I checked the table but this BP is indeed missing.
Do you recommend that I assign a new BP?  My only concern is that this BP exists in the org structure.  How can I "safely" recreate this BP and reassign; do you see any issues that I have to aware of?
I am very unfamiliar with this process and relationships with other objects in SRM.
Thank you again for your informative responses.
    Thank you,
    Jay.

  • Keeping Business Partner numbering same in ECC and GTS

    Hi Experts,
Does anyone have experience on projects/clients where the Numbering for Customers/vendor in ECC and the related Business Partner in GTS is same?
For an example: Customer# 12345, BP#12345 in ECC.
    In GTS: BP# 12345.
We are planning to use MDG system for Master data distribution across systems. I believed it is possible to keep the Numbering same just like we do in SRM.
But on checking further in detail, I feel it is not possible in standard. Can someone provide their inputs on if this can be achieved with standard setup.
On checking the code in GTS, I can see Number range group in GTS is determined in FM BUP_CHECK_GROUPING. This FM uses Internal numbering always when there is no BP# is sent from ECC for the Customer/Vendor#. Only if the BP# is sent, system will look for external number range.
In ECC, the standard code is always keeping BP# and Numbering grouping as blank/space in FM /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_1006_MAP_R3. Which means standard SAP doesn't allow keeping BP Numbers sync'd in ECC and GTS.
So, I am not sure if this is possible with standard setup. Can someone confirm please?
If not possible, I will look for enhancements.
    Thanks in advance!!!
    Regards
    Dhilipan

    Hi Dhilipan,
I briefly checked the program code.  In the API1006_HEAD structure, field BPARTNER is transferred to GTS with value <SPACE> (hard-coded in Function Module /SAPSLL/DEBMAS_1006_MAP_R3), and I think that might be the field you'd need to use.
From what I can see, that field is used as the Partner Number in GTS if it is filled; otherwise field EXTERN_NO is used.  So it would be worth a try (in debug) to fill the BPARTNER field (max. 10 characters) and see what happens.
I'm not sure how the Number Range is assigned - it could involve some "profiles", or perhaps be a nice surprise.  I'm sure you'll have fun in finding out: do please let us know.

    Dave

  • Missing business partner number

    Hi,
I am working with SRM 7.0, SP09. I have encountered a problem where business partner number is not getting generated for new organizational objects created in PPOMA_BBP. It was working absolutely ok until we started the support pack upgrade from 07 to 09.
Anyone has any clue, pls suggest.

  • Business Partner numbers not generating in sequence

    Hello,
For Business Partners, there are 2 Groupings maintained i.e. 1 for External Party and 1 for Employees. For both the groupings, internal number assignment has been maintained in T code BUCF. Also, "Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges" has been assigned the relevant Group with the Number Range and the radio button for "Int.Std.Grping" is NOT checked.
The issue faced is that while creating Business Partners, the BP numbers are not generated sequentially, For e.g if First BP number is 30000000, 30000001, then the next number generated is 30000010, 30000020, 30000021, 30000030..
Not really sure why this would happen. There are no separate customer created in these account groups directly in FI.
Also, when my Last BP number is 30000030 in T code BP  (SEARCH - BP - NUMBER), my Number range shows 30000039 as the "Current Number"
    Request your suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Murtuza.

    Hi,
Please go to TCode SNRO and check if the buffering is active for object BU_PARTNER.
If yes, you should disable it to have a sequential numbering.
Go to Edit menu - set up buffering - no buffering

  • Org Unit Business Partner number missing

    Hi Guy's
I have created some Org models with some Org units and positions in it... But for some reasons I could not able to see any business partner numbers assigned to these Org units..... I hope these numbers automatically come from CRM system...
Could you tell me is it a Technical issue or Functional issue???
Please let me know if you have any solution to resolve this
Thank you very much in advance....

    Hi Sr,
To get the role 'organizational unit'  for BP make sure you have  HRALX - OPROL - BUP004
You can mail to [email protected]

    Paul Kondaveeti
<b>Also see the help extract from customizing:</b>
Set Up Integration with Organizational Management
In this IMG activity, you integrate business partner data with HR master data (organizational model and employees).
    Activities
    1. Activate global HR integration by setting the main switch HRALX/HRAC to 'X'.
    2. Activate the integration between business partners and organizational units by setting the switch HRALX/OBPON to 'ON'.
    3. Activate the integration between business partners and employees by setting the switch HRALX/PBPON to 'ON'.
    4. Numbers can generally be assigned in three ways when creating business partners:
    a) Number is taken as before from the general internal interval for number range object BU_PARTNER.
    b) Number is taken from the special internal interval for the object.
    c) Number is taken from HR and given a prefix. A special external interval is used, which has to be defined as XX00000000 to XX99999999, where XX stands for any two letters.
Number assignment is set for organizational units using HRALX/ONUMB, and for employees using HRALX/PNUMB.
The number range object for all switch values is BU_PARTNER, the interval being dependent on the switch value. The internal standard interval is used for switch value 1, for switch values 2 and 3 the interval is defined by the switch HRALX/OSUBG or HRALX/PSUBG. For switch values 2 and 3, a grouping also needs be created for these intervals using transaction BUC2.
To enable the system to connect the grouping and the number range interval, the name of the grouping must be exactly the same as that of the corresponding number range interval. The name of the grouping is in the first column of the table.
If you choose number assignment type 3 for business partners with the role employee (switch HRALX/PNUMB = 3), create the switch HRALX/PSUBG manually in table T77S0.
    5. If you would like users to be informed by e-mail when errors occur, the recipient can be defined in switch HRALX/MSGRE (0=No messages, 1=Workflow administrator is notified, 2=User receives mail, 3=Both are informed).
    6. If addresses are required to generate business partners correctly, the switch HRALX/OADRE must be set to 'X'. The standard address to be assigned to every organizational unit without its own address can be defined using HRALX/OADBP.
To create a standard address, create a business partner with an address and then enter this business partner's number in the switch.
    7. If qualifications for employees are also to be transferred, the switch HRALX/PQUAL must be set to 'X'.
    Effects on Existing Data
If you have already transferred employees from a connected HR System in an earlier CRM Release and have now upgraded, the relevant employees (personnel numbers) must be transferred again to the CRM System by initial distribution. This enables important employee information to be stored in the target system, and changes to be transferred correctly to the business partner master records.

  • Organizational objects do not create a Business Partner ID

I am setting up SRM org structure with PPOCA_BBP/PPOMA_BBP transaction. I am creating, companies, plants, purchase orgs, purchasing groups and positions and the problem is that SRM is not assigning a Business Partner number to any of those.
I have already checked that there is an internal and external number range setup for Business Partners. Do you have any hints why this could be happening? Your help will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi
Which SRM version are you using ?
I imagine you would like to synchronize business partner data, which are created in backend, into SRM. You can use Tcode BBPGETVD or BBPUPDVD or run/schedule bbp_vendor_sync (need customizing).
    You can create BP:->
    1) Either via middleware replication from R/3 to SRM - BBPGETVD.
    2) Either manually directly in SRM web transaction - BBPMAININT.
<u>Please go through these pointers, which will definitely help -></u>

  • Tables to link Business Partner number and User Name

    Hello SAP Experts,
I'm having a hard time looking for the relationship tables that could link the Business Partner numbers with the user name of a user. I have tried to link the BUT* tables, the USR21 table, and several HRP* tables and I can't seem to find a link. For the table BUT000, the field XUBNAME which is suppose to contain the user names of the users are left blank for some reason.
I just want to ask if there is any other table relationships I can check so I can retrieve the User name of a user using his/her BP number or vice versa. Thank you in advance!
    Regards,
    Romeo

    hi,
i am not sure about tables but you can use FM BP_CENTRALPERSON_GET to get the user name from BP and vice versa. Get the BP guid from BUT000 table and give that to the FM
    thanks,

  • Link for Business Partner number and Address number.

    Hi,
I have few Address Numbers below for which I need the corresponding Business Partner numbers. These Address numbers which are below aer from Table  CDPOS in objectid field.
    BP  0000025867
    BP  0000049717
    BP  0000049718
    BP  0000049719
    BP  0000049720
    BP  0000049721
    BP  0000049722
    BP  0000049729
    BP  0000049730
I have put 25867 in BUT000-PARTNER, there is a entry and hence 25867 is the BP for Address no 25867.
I have put 49718 in BUT020-ADDRNUMBER,there is an entry in BUT020-PARTNER ie., 0007000059 is BP for Address no 49718.
Can you provide any link for Address No  BP  0000049717 where i can get the Corresponding BP no for this Address no 49717.
    Regards,
    Deepthi.

    Hello Deepthi,
May be the address is not maintained for the BP: 49717?
I am not sure if that is possible, just a guess.

  • External business partner number generation

    Hi all,
Our client has the following requirement:
Business partner numbers must be generated according to certain rules, which cannot be replicated using standard number ranges.
My option is to define a single external number range, and then implement an algorithm that generates BP number. However, I'm not being able to identify where I can make this implementation. I have tried to find a user-exit or a BADI in order to do this, but I wasn't successful.
Can anyone help me identifying an exit or a BADI for Business Partner master data?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
<u>To avoid the problem of data loosing, pl setup number ranges as follows:
Menu: SPRO --> Cross-Application Components &#8594; SAP Business Partner &#8594; Business Partner &#8594; Basic Settings &#8594; Number Ranges and Groupings &#8594; Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges</u>
<b>Maintain both internal numbers and external number ranges here. The external number range should correspond with the R/3 vendor number range. Then you will not have a problem of data loosing.</b>
You have another configuration point in SRM that enable you to define number range by backend for PO, RS and RQ.
Please read the configuration help taht give you an example in transaction SPRO.

Using transaction "BP" which has the number "##1" delete the required Business partner. Also try using reports DELETE_ALL_BBP_USERS and BUPA_TEST_DELETE to delete Business partners.

  • Change Business Partner Number or copy

    Hi experts!,
I need to change some business partner numbers or in another hand creates a copy of business partner but different number.
    It's possible?
A lot of thanks in advance.
    Regards.

    Hi,
There is no standard way to do this, but you can write a simple report to achieve this functionality.
Moreover - copying is not that simple - e.g. : you can copy the data such as name ,etc..but you still needs to generate a new person number as well ! For this, you need to involve address management also.
Again, you can copy the address data, but you will need to generate new address numbers as well. This also requires Address Management.
The solution is to use a report using BAPIs.
E.g : Fetch data of existing BP using BUPA_CENTRAL_GET_DETAIL.
Remove fields such as partner number and peson number from this ,and feed it to the BAPI BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA. A new BP will be created, with the same data, but new number GID, etc.
Similarly , you need to fetch all datasets and then create them again.
Let me know if you need more info regarding this.
    Cheers,
    Rishu.

  • Can Business Partner number and Vendor Number, Plant Numbe be same in SRM ?

    Hi Experts,
    We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .
I configured sandbox, and everything working fine.
I have one query.  The Business Partner Number and the Vendor Code or Plant code are different. So while entewring the Location key in Shopping cart we need to enter BP code, by drilldown ( In drilldown we can see ECC Vendor Plant number).
    Its no big problem,.
Can anyone suggest  whether it is possible to have both Unique or exactly same , so no need to remeber both code or see in drilldown.
    Thanks
    NAP

    Hi Narendra
Location - BP can be different only since plant assign  always internal BP number only so BP number and plant number can not be same.
but Vendor you have two options .
External Number  - if you were selected BP and Vendor number will be remain same.
Internal Number - if you were selected BP and Vendor number will be different.
visit BUCF tcode for Internal and External BP number configuration.
See our Mentor Ricardo detail explanations
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/ECCPlantorLocationnumberisnotdisplayedinShoppingCart
All the associated parties which are used in the SRM environment (like location, recipient and supplier) are modelled as business partners.
Due to this fact the user interface displays the business partner numbers in a uniform manner, as the business partners are the technical representation of the involved parties.
In order to give the user a better idea which business partners are shown by the numbers, a little text is displayed next to the corresponding field (e.g. 11147 - Werk Hamburg).
When ERP plants are replicated to SRM system, plant numbers are converted into business partners and a new ID is assumed.

  • ERP plant number for SRM business partner

    Hello,
how is it possible to replicate plants from ERP to SRM by using an external number range?
Example: Plant 0100 in ERP should be Business Partner 0100 in SRM
We have the issue that the replicated plants get new IDs from the internal business partner number range.
In Customizing we defined a corresponding number range set to external. A new grouping is set up linked to the number range object.
    Thanks for help
    Regards Trevor

    Hi everybody,
I closed this thread. In SAP SRM 7.0 there is no possibility to take over the plant numbers from ERP as Business Partner numbers. This would be an approvement for future EHPs of SRM.
We solved our issue by showing also the ERP Plant number in the Shopping Cart from Table BBP_LOCMAP. But this is an enhancement.

  • Missing functionality: Business Partner Authorization -Read only is missing

    Version: SAP Business One 2007 A (8.00.177) SP:00 PL:38
    Description of requirements:
Im missing the functionality -read only- at the authorisation to change the Business Partners
    It should be
Leads: Full authorisation / no authorisation / read only
Customers: Full authorisation / no authorisation / read only
Suppliers: Full authorisation / no authorisation / read only
Is there any way to implement these feature?
    Thanks

Edited by: Ludmilla Hauk on Jul 29, 2008 10:34 AM

    Hi
I have implemented the same in SAP B1 2005B, what I did is
I have given the Read Only authorization for Business Partner and I have given the Full Authorization for BP Type (under Busniess Partner) Customer and Lead
So, when the specific user logs into the system and open the Business Partner Master screen, the Add option will be disabled for the user and in find mode he/she can find only the Customer or Lead.  And after that when he/she chose any BP, he/she can only view.
