Missing Buttons in Blueprint Application Builder

Hi,
I am using Blueprint Application Builder to customize the iViews for SAP CRM Business Package.
When BAB is launched, I can only see Application and View dropdown list and the Load Application button. That is all, no other buttons for me to save or launch Designer. What could be wrong?? I have already activated service CRM_BSP_BAB_DSS and CRM_BSP_BAB_DIS.
After selecting a Application and iVew, I click on the Load Application. The preview of the iView appears but no other buttons can be seen on the left panel except Load Application.
Any clue??
Does anyone know where can I download the BAB and CRM Designer documentation?
Thanks!!!

Hi,
Thanks so much for the reply. Can you mail me the documents at [email protected] or [email protected]??
Thanks!!!!!!!

  • Use of the button in the application builder

I'm trying to use the application builder of oracle 10g express, i have three list objects and a button, when i click on the button i want to create a new record in the database with the data in the list objects. I have seen that there's an option in the button ("database actions") that let me choose an action (INSERT/UPDATE/CANCEL) but i haven't found where i can put the code for the insertion.
    Someone could help me?
    thanks

    Adithya,
    When Delete is clicked..
Only when you run again the same application, you will see that the personalization get deleted
I think you can use RESET to resets the view without running the application again.
RESET will show you the view without any personalization effects.
    Thanks

  • Blueprint Application Builder

    Hi,
I have a Z_* Transaction for which i need to develop a blueprint application. I understood it should be done in CMRC_BLUEPRINT_C, where customer developments are allowed. The steps which i did are,
    Created DDIC structures,
Created model access class, and assigned the interface,
created application set and assigned the modelclass,
    created fieldgroups,
    created relevant fieldgroup structures,
created the application and assigned the application set,
Defined the layout, (only INIT event),
But when i call this application frm the BAB, it shows me page cannot be displayed.
Even i checked the consistency, but i didnt get any errors. But when i try to generate a layout, it shows me fieldgroup doesnt exists in blueprint table..
Can anyone please correct where am wrong.
    Thanks and regards,
    karthik.

    Hi,
You have to config your fieldgroups as following:
    ZEX_EXAMPLE1_SREQ
ZEX_KVIEW  Field 1  Rest of screen parameters
ZEX_KVIEW  Field 2  Rest of screen parameters
ZEX_KVIEW  Field N  Rest of screen parameters
Where, Field 1 to Field N belong to the ZEX_EXAMPLE1_SREQ screen strcuture.
The same configuration with the other filedgroup.
Then you will have to regenerate the following combinations:
    ZEX_KVIEW+ZEX_EXAMPLE1_SREQ (uncheck the checkboxes)
    and
    ZEX_KVIEW+ZEX_EXAMPLE1_SRES (uncheck the checkboxes)
The system will prompt you a transport task
This is the correct procedure. If error persists will be probably an error with the fields (maybe these fields don't belong to the screen structure or something like that...)
Please let me know if works.
    Regards

  • Working with Blueprint Application Builder

    Dear BSP Guru's
I want to play with BAB and create my own queries which can be used by all the Portal Users. I want to add A field Status in Advanced search where it would be able to select 2 statuses instead of just 1. How would I go abt?
Any help or document on this would be highly appreciated and appropriately rewarded

  • I would like to display the pause button in an executable built with the LabVIEW 6.0.2 application builder.

When we upgraded to LabVIEW 6.0.2 (Windows) the executables no longer had the pause button in them. This was a useful feature but I can't find an option to display this button in the Application Builder. Please let me know if this option has been removed and whether I need to allow for pauses to be built into the programming. Thanks.

A well designed application shouldn't need to be aborted the hard way but if you want this feature, you can enable it in the application builder settings.
Under the "VI Settings" tab, select your Top Level VI and press "Edit build settings...".
Change the item "User can abort VI" to "Yes".

  • Application Builder UI

I have a long list of VIs which are called dynamically. When I include these VIs using the "Add Dynamic VI" button on the Application Builder (6i), it includes them, but strips off the front-panels, which apparently is a bad thing for a dynamically loaded VI.
From the "VI Settings" tab, I can change the properties of the VI so that the front panel isn't stripped.
    Couple of Comments:
    (1) If I included it as a "Dynamic VI", then why isn't the UI smarter and not strip the panel for that case.
    (2) I can't seem to select more than one entry in the list on the "VI Settings" page. It sure would be nice if Shift-Select, or Ctrl-Select worked here. I've got a longish list, and clicking each one open, changing that setting and closing it is
    no fun.
Is there a better way to do this?

  • Run page with cleared cache after edit in application builder

When I am building a form and run into an error while submitting the page I get the following situation. After making some changes to the page I try to run it again but the values from the previous try are still in the cache. So I immediately run into the same error I had earlier. The only way around this, that I currently know of, is to select another page in the application builder and start this. Then I can navigate to the page I'm working on using the menu. I usually start pages from the menu with a cleared cache.
Is there an easier way to do this?
There are currently two "run" buttons in the application builder. There is the button that says "run" and there is the "traffic light". Maybe one of those can be used the run the page with a cleared cahche and the other one with the cache still intact.

    Hi,
One of the parameters in the URL is for clearing cache:
    f?p=App:Page:Session:Request:Debug:ClearCache:itemNames:itemValues:PrinterFriendly
so, you could just enter the page number into the 6th parameter to clear the cache for that page

  • During an application build I received an error 7 for a missing source NI vi 1d linear evaluation.vi

During an application build, I got "Error 7 occurred at c:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6\vi.lib\Analysis\8numerc.llb\1D Linear Evaluation.vi - source does not exist".
This existed in Labview 5.1.1. Was it deleted in 6.0?

No, this VI is in the following location "Functions >> Analyze >> Mathematics >> Array Operations>>1D Linear Evaluation.vi"
Perhapse this in a package (Advanced Analysis) that is not included in your version of LabVIEW. You may need to upgrade to get these VIs, or you can copy them over from your Labview 5.1.1 installation.

  • Application builder missing files

    Hi all,
I'm new to LabView and I'm trying to deploy an application as an executable. I'm running LabView 2009 on Win XP Pro. I have the application  builder and ran the application builder tutorial. The tutorial worked fine, but doing the same steps on my project that calls sub-VIs from several different libraries didn't work. I'm not trying to build an installer yet, just a stand alone executable running on a machine with the LabView run time framework already installed. I'm not calling anything by reference, all sub-VIs are called explicitly.
The VI I'm trying to deploy works fine running in LabView. Application builder successfully generates an executable. When the executable is run, it pops up a dialog looking for a bunch of sub-VIs. I attached a copy of the executable prompting me for a sub-VI contained in vi.lib
First, is there a user's manual or something like that for Application Builder? LabView Help describes how to create a stand alone executable but doesn't describe all the settings in detail. I probably just have one of the settings wrong.
Any other thoughts or suggestions on what to try next?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    LV2011SP1
I have been developing in the directory
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2011\user.lib
The source code is located in a subfolder in the "user.lib" folder
The builds go into the destination subfolder "user.lib\builds"
The executable built returns an error when it is run. It can't find one of the subvis.
The subvi in question is listed under the dependencies for the main vi in the project.
I copied the devlopmentto a new location, namely
    C:\Users\Me\Documents\LVcode\builderErrorTestFolder
The executable built within this new project ran without error on the development machine, but the executable built with the installer in this project will not run on a non-development machine. In the case of the executable installed on a non-development machine, the error is a "can't find vis" error, but it is limited to NI_AALPROLvlib files and NI_AALBaseLvlib files
    What could be the problem?

When you have a problem you'll get a faster, more effective response by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
<li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
<li>Region/item type(s) (making particular distinction as to whether a "report" is a standard report, an interactive report, or in fact an "updateable report" (i.e. a tabular form)
With APEX we're also fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.

  • Running LabVIEW 2012 Application builder get message about missing LabVIEW 2013 media

I am trying to make an installer using LV 2012 (Latest version for which I have a license-- Installed from Developer Suite 2013, latest disks I have.)\
I am asking the installer to include Run Time Engine 2012 SP1 f5-- Only choice presented to me for a 2012 RTE
When I Try to build an installer, I get a message asking for a LV 2013 media path, which I don't have...
Any ideas on why this is happening or how to get around it?
    Solved!

    Hi Peter:
Sorry for the long delay getting back to you, I've been off on other projects for the past few.
I have NImax 5.4.0f0 on my computer.  Other than that, I don't see any stand-alone DAQmx-- mostly I configure the DAS equipment programatically from within LabVIEW.
Attached is a screen shot of the NILM display.  You'll note that there's a LV2013 in addition to the LV2012 SP1.  Not sure why the 2013 shows up in the LM-- don't recall ever loading it, not even a demo version, and what I'm using is the 2012 SP1.
Since my last post, a few other peculiarities with the app builder-- last week I had a period where it would only run the application builder once to make an installer.  After that I'd get an error message of some sort (I neglected to make a note of the exact message-- If I see it again I'll make a note of it.)  In order to run the app builder a second time, I had to shut down the computer & reboot.-- it then let me run the app builder one more time, then reboot needed to run it a third time.
I also had a peculiarity where when I ran the installer on the target machine, it would give a "no software will be installed" message.  I am pretty sure that this was unrelated to the other problems-- A simple user error, that I wasn't updating the revision number of the exe application, so when the installer went to install on the target it thought the version on the target was the same as the version that I wanted to install?  But I mention it in case it has some bearing on the problem.
Client testing the application reports that it is ready to go, so I'll be attempting to build on final (for this release) clean installer version later today-- I'll let you know how that goes.
Thanks for your attention, and again, appologies for the delay in responding to your questions.
    Best regards, Louis

  • Display Bug in LV 8.20 Application Builder

There seems to be a minor bug in the displaying of the "VI Settings" in the application builder for LabVIEW 8.20.
The problem is in an executable build spec, in the "Source File Settings" category.
Select a sub VI in the tree, then uncheck the select box for the "Remove Panel" property. Now select any other VI in the tree, then go back to the one you unchecked the "Remove Panel" box. You should see that the box is now checked.
If you don't do anything else and just select "OK, then go back into the build spec, you'll see that the property was correctly saved as unchecked. So it looks like it's just a display problem.
I've made sure the VI I try this with does not use any property nodes and it is not marked as a dynamic VI. I can reproduce this on two machines running Windows XP Pro SP2 and LabVIEW 8.20.
    Ed
Ed Dickens - Certified LabVIEW Architect - DISTek Integration, Inc. - NI Certified Alliance Partner
Using the Abort button to stop your VI is like using a tree to stop your car. It works, but there may be consequences.

    In addition to Ed's
comment, I would like to say that this unexpected behaviour is not
always appearing. I have just seen following while editing this text :
I have unchecked the Remove Panel box for all the UI VIs (all are
located in the same directory). When scrolling through the different UI
VIs in the Soure File Settings, the box was unchecked for all the VIs.
Without closing the Source File Settings window, I switched to
Developer Zone and switched back to the Source File Settings. For some
UI VIs, the Remove Panel box was checked. I closed the window and
opened it again, the box was unchecked again for all the UI VIs.
But I have also encountered the case that when scrolling through the
VIs to try to uncheck this setting for all of them, it suddenly appears
checked again for a VI for which it was unchecked or unchecked for a
    before checked VI.
You finally end with a very unclear situation and it may be that the
Remove Panel is really checked for some VIs. At least, in some cases,
the built EXE could not run because of missing front panels. I can't
remember the exact error messages when running the EXE but they
mentionned the name of the VI and something about missing ressources. I
opened the .lvproj file and noticed that the "Remove Panel" property of
these VIs was set to TRUE. After modifying these settings and
rebuilding the EXE, it ran as expected.
    In development, I
normally uncheck "Allow user to resize window" of the UI VIs because
this setting can unfortunately not be changed when configuring the
executable. In the "Source File Settings" I uncheck all options of "Use
VI Setting" for these UI VIs and I only check "Auto-Center" (all VIs)
and "Window is Modal" (some VIs).
There is another problem with the application builder that I would like
to mention. For (at least) following settings, the development settings
of a VI will not be overwritten by the Source File Settings when
    building the executable :
    - Window has title bar
    - Show Menu bar
    - Show Toolbar
    - Show Scroll Bars
This is also very annoying because you will need to change these
settings in the development environement in order to get the expected
    appearance in the executable.
