Missing calls--phone not ringing

Sometimes my phone acts like it's on silent mode: a call comes in and I can see it on the screen, but it's not making any ringing sound. The very next call rings just fine, even if it's the same person who just called when the phone was silent. Sound settings are on "Normal." The tech guys at the local store are mystified.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Whether it is or not, I'm a big advocate of reloading your OS to your phone after you've tried battery pulls.
It's quite a simple process. If you know how to do it, I recommend going ahead with it. If you don't, please post back and we'll help you with it.

I no longer recieve notifications of missed calls when 'Do not disturb' is on

I use 'Do Not Disturb' on my iPhone 5 very often. In the past, if someone called me while DND was activated, the call would show up in my list of 'Missed Calls' and I would get a notification of it. Since the most recent software update (iOS 8.2) this does not happen anymore. I have no idea whether or not someone called me during the time when DND is active, unless they leave a voicemail (in which case I do get a notification of new VM). Is this a bug, or was this changed on purpose? (I can't think of a reason why people would prefer this change, so I assume it is a bug, but....)

Text alerts never have come through when DND is on. It's not an option and never has been. Calls from your Favorites are allowed through but that the only option in settings

BlackBerry - Perl : Missed call count does not go at all

Hi All,
I've a T-Mobile BB-Perl. There was a missed call tag on upper left corner and I'ce fall the phone and battery came out. Once I've put back the battery since then the Missed call tag number or tag itself does not go eventhough Call log is cleared. Let me know if any one has solution.

Try this please, go to message folder, press menu, view folders, and you have a new window with folders, check in each folder and clear it. You are deleting all inside the folder.

Philips VOIP 855 - SkypeOut call connects but not ringing on other side

I've got a Philips VOIP 855 and Skype worldwide subscription. It has been working fine for a few years but since last week I have been unable to make SkypeOut calls. I have tried:- Replacing the base unit, charging unit, handset and cables with a second set I have.- Disabling the firewall on internet router- Powering off and on- Calling in via the landline works OK- Calling out via the landline works OK- Calling in via Skype-to-Skype works OK- Calling out via Skype-to-Skype works OK- Calling out via Skype-to-landline/mobile rarely works. Sometimes it connects as usual (1/10 times). The other 9/10 times, the call appears to connect and I can hear the ringing tone but then it disconnects itself with beep-beep-beep sound after about 20-30 seconds. When I ring the other side with my mobile they say their phone never rang. I've confirmed this when I call my own mobile. I can't figure out why it works on occassions but not the majority of the time. Of course, Skype status says online when I make the call and when I view my account history on www.skype.com, it lists all my dialed numbers with a duration of 00:00:00. I've tested the Skype account from my mobile and it appears to work fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Whenever I receive a FaceTime call it does not ring I have checked in settings to make sure the noises and alert ect. Are all turned on.u

This used to show up as a question with some frequency - but i havent seen it in the last year. used to be a pad 2 issue, and I see you have a pad 2. While i had the pad 2, that would be a problem from time to time - but went away, and I was never clear on the cause.
So - the basics. You have already checked in notifications, and the alert spound is on. Ringer and alerts volume slider is not all the way down? (this is the only app that uses the ringer - as far as I know)
System sounds are on? (pad is not muted)
I would suggest you continue to play around with the settings. (You can facetime yourself from your iphone -if you are so equipped - so quick tests are easy)

Droid Turbo missing calls, delivering texts late, not capturing call history, not updating e-mails

My wife got the Droid Turbo Ballistic Nylon just before Christmas as a replacement for her iPhone. She has been complaining that she is not getting calls, e-mails, text messages, voice mail messages. Last night, my son called her twice from California and there was no answer. Checking her phone there is no voice mail from him and her call history shows no attempts. I re-booted the phone and she suddenly got a flood of e-mails, call history, texts messages. She uses this for business and this is negatively impacting her buisness.
This morning I did a test. I forwarded an e-mail from her phone to me and then I replied to that e-mail, which is set up as IMAP on all devices. I could see my reply on her PC but nothing her phone minutes later. This test is being done in my home with all devices on the same Wi-Fi network. I re-booted the phone into Safe Mode and the e-mail came through. I don't know if it was just the additional length of time or putting it into Safe Mode. Based on the number of issues with multiple applications (she also says she is losing contact information) I am beginning to think that this is a hardware or OS problem. Anybody have any ideas?

I know that IMAP is sometimes set to auto-sync only every 15 min or more, according to default or user set amount of time. When you rebooted, the phone auto-synced with the email server. As far as missed calls and those not showing in logs, I'm not sure. I can say this though, I was missing calls and voicemails and came to find out that the Advanced Calling HD Voice VoLTE updates had negatively impacted my phone's service. I have since disabled and service is better. Perhaps the Turbo also has HD calling enabled and is experiencing similar issues because of that.

Phone does not ring.. intermittent..

I have had this issue since switching to Verizon. Some calls go through, some do not.
The calls that do not go through seem to happen repeatedly, but not always, from certain callers/phone #s. But I get other calls that do not ring or show a missed call as well.
Cable company came out and called to let me know. Since my phone didn't ring on my end, and they didn't leave a message, they left! I've been without internet for a week due to "missing" their call..
I tried calling my cell from my work desk phone, the cell did not ring. I tried *73, and powered off the cell, removed the sim card, put it back in after a minute, started phone back up. I was able to call my cell successfully twice from my office phone after. Then waited 30 minutes or so, tried again and the call wouldn't go through.
My signal is decent, at least 3 bars, 4g. This issue happens in various places, out and about, at home, etc
I have a galaxy s4.
From reading through various threads, this seems to be a common issue for verizon, is there a resolution yet? This is getting old and I am missing important calls and appointments due to calls not going through.

THere's generally some type of default notification for a missed call - I'm not sure the point though, if you're not with your phone to hear it ring then how are you going to hear the missed call notification?

Phone not ringing every time

Hi, my iPhone isn't ringing every time I get a call, usually there is a missed call message, but not always, and sometimes it will ring. I did reset the phone several times, and I naturally checked that I didn't have it on mute and also checked my ring settings ... all good but problem still there. it will vibrate, but if I'm not nearby, I miss the call. Do you see a crescent moon shaped icon in the menu bar at the top? If so, you have enabled the "Do not Disturb" option. To turn it of, go to Settings - Do not Disturb = off

Skype does not ring with iphone 4 ios5

I recently upgraded my iphone 4 to ios5, but apparently whenever i receive a skype call, it does not ring anymore.

Sorry, I don't use Skype. You might try a couple of standard troubleshooting steps, though. First, try resetting the phone by pressing the Home and power buttons until the silve apple appears. If that doesn't solve the problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. You may also want to contact Skype's support to see if they have any suggestions.

C2-01 ... no notification of missed call :(

I've replaced my old 3109 phone with a C2-01 but I'm disappointed as some basic functionnalities disapearred.
- while idle the screen is black ... no way to see time
- if I miss a call ... no way to see it
When I missed a call with my old 3109, the screen blinked as long as I unlocked the phone.
How can I do the same thing with the C2-01 ?
If you also have a tip to get time while the phone is idle, that's perfect.

Hi gbire,
You can get a clock as screensaver following these steps:
Menu > Parameters > Display > Screensaver > Num./digit. clock.
Unfortunately for the missing calls I do not think there is a way to get the screen to blink as on your 3109.

Missed calls on call log

When I get a missed call it does not appear on my call log. They have dissappeared, how do I get it back ? Any help would be appreciated, can't understand if I have done something to cause this problem but nothing more infuriating than missing a call and not knowing who it was and not being able to call back.

Missed calls show up in your messages where you get your e-mail messages folder.

Problem:
I am facing this same freez problem on my Iphone 5 (with iOS 7.0.4) in India, Chennai.
I am using Airtel provider.
1. I can see the missed call list(s) on the first locked screen
2. To unlock the screen i tried to Swap "slide to unlock" screen, But it hangs (freez). But swap Bottom to Top to see the short cut app modes (wifi, airoplane mode,bluetooth...etc) it is working fine.
3. I cant get in to passcode input screen.
Workaround for this issue: (for iphone users)
1. "Reset iPhone" OR
2. "Make a call from your firend mobile to your hanged Iphone and pick the call. Now you wouldn't see the hanging problem"
Suggessions: (for iphone engineers)
Might be problem in locking mechanishm in the IOS. Missed call would be not properly handled by the locking mechanisim, Since, while freez, next attend call will resolvd this issue. So locking mechanishm is the problem. Please concentrate these part and put your hard work on this. Don't give workaround to iphone users all the time. workaround is only temp until fix the bug. So work hard and give us the flawless upgrade.
