Missing Camera App in Ipad2

I seem to have deleted my Camera App from my Ipad 2.  Restrictions are not enabled so that is not the problem.  I tried resetting the Home Screen, but I still do not see the Camera App.  I had it in a Folder with a few other apps called "Photography".  Does anyone know where it is?
An additional puzzle is that my Photos app no longer shows an album for "Photo Album", where photos/video taken with the Camera App are typically stored.
Appreicate the help, thanks!

I had the same problem that my camera apps were missing on my IPad2 after setting up my Google Apps for Business Mail account using Exchange. As per the above post it had to do with restrictions set on the Google Apps server not the device itself. As the administrator for the Google Apps account you need to go to your domain settings and then to service settings and select mobile from the list. Under the restrictions section you need to check the 'Allow Camera' box and then save changes. On the ipad you can try refreshing your mail or turning the account off and the on again and everything should work.

  • Missing camera app

I have a new Ipad Air. I cannot locate the basic camera app that has been on all my other Apple products. I cannot find it on App Store either. How do I load it on my new ipad?

You cannot install it since it is already on there somewhere.
Swipe from screen to screen to look for it.
Check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that you didn't disable it.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.

  • Lumia 1020 missing pro cam app

I've had this phone for for about 4 weeks now and have used the Nokia pro cam app every day. A few days ago I tried using it by pushing the camera button but the tutorial for the smart cam came up instead (I've already gone through the tutorial). I looked on the home screen and there was a blank spot where my pro cam app was, and it's not in the app menu. I tried looking for it in the app store but can't find it. My husband also has this phone and his pro cam app is still in tact. Any advice on what I should do?
If this is already in the forums I apologize, I did a search and nothing came up.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have just had the same thing happen to me. At least the app "icon" is gone missing from the os...left a hole on the home screen and not in the alphabetical list  under Nokia "Nokia Pro Cam"....
The camea app works as you said but the icon and text are gone.

  • Default Camera App Tile Missing and Won't Launch from c:\windows\camera. Also missing from Windows Store to reinstall.

    Hi There,
I am deploying a custom windows 8.1 enterprise image via SCCM to Surface Tablets in our corporate environment.  We currently are using windows 8 ONLY on surface hardware.
We only have 4 in the wild but all are having the same issue.  The camera app tile/shortcut is missing from the all applications menu.
If I try to launch it from the c:\windows\camera folder i receive an error regarding Windows.UI.Xaml.dll as I believe it needs to be  called via the modern environment (not desktop).
It dose not appear to be a hardware issue as third party camera apps seem to work.
Also, when i search for the app in windows store it cannot be found.  I can find it when i search the store via IE but when I click on the link to open it in the windows store i am only presented with the stores front page.
Any advice would be appreciated as my users are keen to use the camera on their surface pro 3's.
    Thanks

This sounds as though the Camera app has become corrupt in your image. I would attempt to reimage one of the devices with a vanilla environment to see if the issue appears, if not, I would
evaluate the difference between the Camera app in the vanilla environment and the production environment. Specifically, you may need to ensure that the correct version of Camera is provisioned in the base image.

  • Camera App Missing

This morning my camera app went missing. I used it a day or two ago. After some testing I discovered that my 2nd exchange account I setup on the device was installed around the time the application went away. I removed the 2nd exchange account and my camera app came back. Can someone explain this?
The 2nd exchange account is a google corporate account. I only use it to pull down contacts. (That's actually the only reason I use exchange accounts at all).

Whoever manages your 2nd Exchange account has disabled cameras. You'll need to contact them to find out why, and if it can be reversed - or just delete the account.

Hello. After updating my Ipad2 to Ios5 Ive missed some Apps( pages and numbers). What's wrong with my device? Thanx

Were the apps on your computer's iTunes when you started the update process ?
As long as the apps are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . If you download them to your computer's iTunes you could then try restoring to your backup and see if that restores them and their settings/content - a backup doesn't contain the actual apps, just their content/settings, so for the restore to work fully iTunes needs access to the apps so that it can restore them.

iPad 2 Camera - Doesnt Work

So I got the iPad 2 last Wednesday and tried facetime. It seemed to work then froze, but I gave up as it was still new and I was still figuring things out. Anyway i'd use the camera a few times (maybe 3) and made maybe 2 quick videos, nothing big. I never use the camera much. Today I went to videotape my nephew and clicked the camera screen, but it wouldnt leave the shutter screen. If i restore it to default, it works. But as soon as I sync my iPad up so it restores all my settings, the camera freezes. Obviously facetime and photobooth don't load either.
I think a few people have this issue, what was the resolution? if i take it to apple will they give me a new one on the spot or send it in for repairs, and im without it for a while?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
If when you restore the iPad to the factory settings the camera works, then there is nothing wrong with the iPad, you have something corrupt in the backup that you are using to restore your previous settings. I would delete the backup and start fresh. Go to iTunes/Preferences/Devices and delete any and all backups there for the iPad.
Then configure and sync the iPad as if it were new from the box for the first time.

Try this reset. Press & Hold the Sleep/Wake and the Home buttons simultaneously for 10+ seconds. Ignore the red power off slider.

Deleting my backups and starting fresh kinda *****. I'd rather not have to re-do all my settings like email and my apps. Its not that i have a lot of apps, maybe 5 or so I use, but still, its a bit of a pain. I guess I can TRY it... can't hurt right...
I dont want to just delete my backups though, i'll store them somewhere else (i think i remember where apple stores them) and copy them over later if i need to.
Worth a shot, better this then my iPhone which has a ton of apps I use for work. Im still setting the iPad up for my work stuff. Will let you know how i make out.
BTW the home/power reset didnt work, ive obviously tried this many times, and just now while writing this. Same issues.

Take it to your closest Apple Retail Store. The Apple store locator says the closest one to Glendora is a few miles down 57 at the Brea Mall:

  • The Camera app is suddenly missing from my iPhone, how do I get it back?

My camera app is suddenly missing from my phone.. how do I get it back or find it? it's not in any 'folders' -- Same with my Safari app--  Not sure if my 2 yr old deleted it? I didn't think those were deletable apps.

Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted.  Search all home screens and all folders and/or search for it with Spotlight, that will tell you what folder it's in.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions to see if it has been restricted.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

  • The Safari and Camera apps are missing from my iPhone.

I had a problem with restoring my purchased apps on my iPhone. With help I was able to get them restored. However, now the original apps are missing - camera and safari. It's possible there are more, but I can't remember all those that were original with the phone.

I would check your other apps folders and see if it was misplaced in there.  IF you still can't find it, then go to settings - general - reset - reset home screen layout.

First, double tap the home key and close off any apps that are in the task bar.  You are really looking for an earlier instance of camera or photobooth that is still there.  Then reboot the pad.  Hold the sleep and home buttons until the apple logo appears.  Ignore the red slider.
    Then try the app again.
This has been happening off and on well before ios 5.

  • Missing photos from camera app

I downloaded photos from the Apple card reader for iPad. The photos were on 2 different memory cards. The pics from one card don't show up on the camera roll in the Apple camera app. But they do show up on other apps on the iPad. Any guesses as to where I could look for them?

    Found them!

  • Why is my iPad mini camera app missing?

This Is bizarre: my iPad mini doesn't have the camera app. Here is what i have done so far to rectify this:
    1) I checked if the app was restricted. Restrictions are switched off. But: when switching restrictions on, the cam app remains greyed out. So it does not exist on my machine it seems.
    2) I read somewhere that this might have something to do with google apps and that the settings there should be set to allow cam. I checked and this option is checked.
    3) I updated to iOS 7.1.
    Still no cam app!
    Can anybody help..?

  • Missing appstore and camera app

I somehow deleted (?) both the AppStore app and the camera app from my 3gs.  How do I get these back?? (witthout resetting the phone?)

First, look on every page & in every folder, as they can't be deleted. Next, check Restrictions: Settings>General>Restrictions...are yours on? The Store & Camera can be restricted. If not restricted, & you still can't find them: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout...see if you see them now.

    Default camera app missing

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Camera being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
