Missing class file for extended controller
Any response/advice is greatly appreciated.
I've searched the forums, and I saw some had this error, but the post wasn't resolved. We are on 12.1.3. I've done this plenty of times when we were on 11.5.10 with great success. I've personalize a page to look at my extendedController, bounced apache:
adapcctl.sh stop
adoacorectl.sh stop
adoacorectl.sh start
adapcctl.sh start
Web page brings up:
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.classloader.util.AnnotatedNoClassDefFoundError, msg= Missing class: emsc.oracle.apps.emscper.dor.webui.ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO (wrong name: ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO) Dependent class: emsc.oracle.apps.emscper.dor.webui.ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO Loader: oacore.root:0.0.0 Code-Source: /demsci/applmgr/common/java/classes/ Configuration: <library> in /demsci/applmgr/common/webapps/oacore/
Verified spelling, ensure class file is where it is suppose to be:
$ echo $JAVA_TOP
/demsci/applmgr/common/java/classes
$ echo `pwd`
/demsci/applmgr/common/java/classes/emsc/oracle/apps/emscper/dor/webui
Created new /dor/webui directory as user applmgr.
$ ls -ltr $JAVA_TOP/emsc/oracle/apps/emscper/dor/webui
total 9
-rw-r--r-- 1 apdemsci aademsci 3243 Nov 28 18:26 ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO.java
-rwxrwxrwx 1 apdemsci aademsci 3710 Nov 28 18:26 ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO.class
ClassPath has the $JAVA_TOP listed:
/demsci/applmgr/common/java/classes
Thanks
I moved the extended class to the standard directory: $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/per/dor/webui
Recompiled it there
From Functional Administrator, changed the path of the extended controller to the standard path:
oracle.apps.per.dor.webui.ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO
Bounced apache/cleared cached.
Received the same error, very strange....
Missing class: oracle.apps.per.dor.webui.ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO (wrong name: ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO) Dependent class: oracle.apps.per.dor.webui.ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO Loader: oacore.root:0.0.0 Code-Source: /demsci/applmgr/common/java/classes/ Configuration: <library> in /demsci/applmgr/common/webapps/oacore/
Verified the class file is there and it is where it is suppose to be:
$ pwd
/demsci/applmgr/common/java/classes/oracle/apps/per/dor/webui
you have mail in /var/spool/mail/apdemsci
$ ls -ltr ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO.class
-rw-r--r-- 1 apdemsci aademsci 3710 Nov 29 15:29 ExtDocsOfRecordUpdateCO.class
Makes no sense...
For your other point, I don't want rename the subdirectory since we have other extensions dependent on the path name.
Thanks

Hello
If I start my Servlet, apache returns following error message:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/log4j/Layout.
I've downloaded the log4j classes but there is no Layout class in log4j?
Please help.
Regards
bThe Layout class should definitely be included in the log4j distribution under the org.apache.log4j path. Probably you need to make sure that the log4j.jar is in your servlet classpath.

How to get the .class file for the extended Controller .java file
Hi,
I did the below steps.
1. Created New OAWorkspace
2. Created New project
3. Imported the page .xml file
4. Added new .java file by extending the controller class
5. Added code in the .java file.
6. Ran the .xml file
As I copied all the folders from Unix box, the page was opened.
But My question was where can I see the .class file the extended controller. It's a .java file. How to compile and get the .class file for this .java file. If I get this .class file, I can go to the page and click the personlize page. and change the Controller name to the new path by ftp ing the new class to the cust.oracle.apps.pos.changeorder.webiui.
Please let me know how to create the .class file.
Thanks,
HPAll are Java files are stored in JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\
In your case the path java would be
JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\ myprojects \cust\oracle\apps\pos\changeorder\webui\
AND
Once you compile the java file in Jdeveloper, Class files get generated @ below path
In your case the path of class would be
JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\ myclasses \cust\oracle\apps\pos\changeorder\webui\

For WebLogic 5.1, where should I put my class files for my JavaBeans?
With JBuilder4, I have built an application with JSP and a few Java Beans (Those JavaBeans are instantiated in those JSP files). There are no EJBs. The package name is called 'onlinetrade'. I have tested the application on JBuilder's web server, it works pretty well.
Now I am moving this application to WegLogic 5.1. I have encountered a problem with WebLogic 5.1
and do not know where I should place my JavaBean class files --
Originally, the JSP files for my application are in package path-- ..onlinetrade\jsp
and the class files for my beans are in the package path -- ..onlinetrade\jsp\bean\*.class
Now, with WebLogic 5.1,
1) I have put my JSP files in
C:\weblogic\myserver\public_html\onlinetrade\jsp
2) I have created subdirectory and put my bean class files in
C:\weblogic\myserver\classfiles\onlinetrade\jsp\bean
When I started weblogic and the first page - login.jsp page can be up and accessed. But when I login and forward to another JSP page called 'controller.jsp', where a bean is instantiated, I got the following error
Compilation of 'C:\weblogic\myserver\classfiles\jsp_servlet\_onlinetrade\_jsp\__controller.java' failed:
C:\weblogic\myserver\classfiles\jsp_servlet\_onlinetrade\_jsp\__controller.java:210: cannot access jsp_servlet._onlinetrade._jsp.registerBean
probably occurred due to an error in /onlinetrade/jsp/controller.jsp line 53:
registerBean registerBeanInstance = new registerBean();
I know the javac is working, and a java file is created upon the JSP page, but the problem is -- the bean class files cannot be found!!!
Where should I create the package path and put my bean class file so that my JSP pages can pick them up?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Hi,
I was trying the "How to BI JAVA SDK in a Portal iView and get the following error.
The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for com.sap.portal.services.api.connectorgateway.IConnectorGatewayService. Fix the classpath and try rebuilding this project.
I have the following in my portalapp.xml file
<property name="SharingReference" value="com.sap.portal.ivs.connectorservice"/>
and i have also added the jar file "com.sap.portal.ivs.connectorservice_api" in the set of lib's
Has some faced a similar issue? or can someone suggest how I could possibly resolve this.
Thanks,
SmithaHi Smitha:
My webdynpro dc was build failed for "This compilation unit indirectly references the missing type com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.client.dynamic.content.GenericObject (typically some required class file is referencing a type outside the classpath)".
How should i do? Thank you! -

It seems that london1a1 suggests changing the Camera.h file in this location:

Whereas you're saying to change the Camera.h file in this location:

I've tried changing the Camera.h file in both locations. Neither has made a difference. -

j2ee server started, Deploytool is started.
Then I can successfully create new application (.ear file)
Then I go for creating new enterprise bean. I get same application name in Drop down list named "Enterprise Bean will go in".
Then I can add home, remote and ejb class file to create jar ("Add" under "Contents" ).
When I say ok after adding these 3 files, I am getting error - "You must add the Class files for this enterprise bean".
In the deploytool console, getting error - "java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\2sdkee1.2\mahesh\ConverterEJB.class (The system cannot find the path specified) "
Can you please help me where to configure the path?

Missing export file for package java/lang
Hello,
I have Eclipse with JCOP Tools installed and I have a small Applet which runs fine with Java Card 2.2.1 which is part of the JCOP Tools. I want to try the [Extented Length APDU which is defined in Java Card 2.2.2|http://www.cs.ru.nl/~tews/jcdocs/app-notes-2.2.2/extapdu.html] so I downloaded the developpment kit 2.2.2 from sun which includes the api.jar.
In my Eclipse project, when I remove the 2.2.1 api jar and add the 2.2.2 instead, I get the following "compilation" error "
Description Resource Path Location Type
missing export file for package java/lang MyApplet.java MyApplet/src/com/... Unknown com.ibm.bluez.jcop.eclipse.jcopmarker
Do you have an idea what is the problem ?
Is it possible to use JCOP Tools with Java Card 2.2.2 ?
How can I know which VM is running my JavaCard ? If it is 2.2.1 it would actually be useless to develop an Applet using 2.2.2. and on the card ther eis written only JCOP31 V2.2
Thanks,
Tex

ClassName property missing in file for Web Dynpro for ABAPSSO layer

How to convert a .jsp to a .java/.class file for use in peoplesoft
Hi java/jsp experts,
I want to convert a .jsp to a .java/.class file. is there a tool available, please let me know if you have any pointers....
or can i do it manually:
these are a few lines that the .jsp contains, and i would like to translate this to be in .java/.class format:
<%@ page import="sun.misc.BASE64Encoder, javax.crypto., javax.crypto.spec."%>
<%@ page import="java.util.StringTokenizer" %>
<%@ page import="java.util.Map" %>
<%!
sb.append("<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"orderPage_serialNumber\" value=\"");
sb.append(serialNumber);
sb.append("\">\n");
return sb.toString();
%>
how can i translate the above import statements and html elements from jsp to java, please let me know.
Once i have the .java file created from the .jsp, I will compile .java to create the .class file and invoke the .class in peoplecode by using java apis available in peopletools.
Thanks in advance.Is there a way convert a binary .exe file( compiled by
another compiler) into Java .class/.jar file ? Anyone
know of a free program that can do this?It's not possible. There are many decompilers and disassemblers for Java but nothing will take you from ANY binary to Java source. It would be the end of computing as we know it and the beginning of a new era -:) -

How do you specify class file for appletviewer?
List,
I have searched over dozens of posts for "NoClassDefFoundError" and "wrong name" as well as "appletviewer" and others. I have read many posts about people who have the same problem I do, but I still can't seem to find a remedy:
My machine is running Windows ME
My application runs fine stand-alone
(it's main() method sets up and runs the init() method it is intended to be an applet)
My classpath includes "." as well as the JDK directory and the full path to my applications jar file
All classes are part of the package iCalendar and jar'd in a file called iCalendar.jar
When I compile and run my app stand-alone I use the following:
javac ./iCalendar/ViewController.java
java iCalendar.ViewController
However I cannot get the application to run in either appletviewer or the browser. My applet tag is as follows:
<APPLET CODEBASE="." CODE="ViewController.class" ARCHIVE="iCalendar.jar" width=700 height=700>
I consistently get the message NoClassDefFoundError wrong name: iCalendar/ViewController
So if anyone could tell me what set up is need to get this app running in appletviewer/browser I would be greatly appreciative, I've been on this all day!
PatrickDrop one iCalendar out. The classpath should not
contain the path C:\JavaObjects\iCalendar.I did this, I also removed all duplicate copies of the .class files to make sure appletviewer only has the jar file to work with. My new CLASSPATH is:
.;C:\JavaObjects;C:\JavaObjects\iCalendar\iCalendar.jar
You should also decide whether to use the jar file or
not - that can cause problems with netscape -
weird problems.I definetely want to figure this out using the jar file, I want the entire jar downloaded to minimize trips to the server.
Try putting iCalendar.jar and iCalendar.html to
another directory and it should work - somehow
(probably because of the classpath or because
iCalendar.html is not where it should be) the
appletviewer is picking the class from outside the
jar.I created a directory off of the root C drive and called it temp, I copied the jar file and the html file to the temp directory and then tried appletviewer from the command line:
NoClassDefFoundError: ViewController (wrong name: iCalendar/ViewController)
Can this be because the jar file contains all of the class files whom all belong to the package iCalendar? Because to run it stand alone I must address iCalendar.ViewController, do I need to jar these files differently, and if so can I jar the directory structure?
Thanks again for the help, I have no clue at this point.
