MISSING CLASS TAB

HI! I read book Oracle JDeveloper 10g handbook. And there is "class tab" to open class editor! That is in Hands-on practice: Build a Simple Toplink Application. I use Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0, but there no class tab what I need to do???
Best regards

Thanks! I think this is the correct way, but can u give a short example of "generate accessours", because I don't know how to do that correctly. When I try to generate I have information on screen: "There are no methods to generate". I hope u can give a short example of java code, where can I generate accessours! plz!
And may be you can light up in:
I would like to know, how can I set button disabled property with more than one binding operation, for example I need to set these values to "Next record button" disabled property:
#{!bindings.Next.enabled}
#{bindings.Commit.enabled}
How can I can set these EL in button disabled property together ???

  • Missing class for indicator field value [changed-fields-locking-policy]

    -------<br>
    Edit:<br>
    Please, ignore the post below. I found the problem here. The real problem is reported in my other post.<br>
    -------<br>
    <br>
    Hello,<br>
    <br>
    In order to test the optimistic locking by fields, I created a very simple TopLink project via the TopLink Workbench. It only consists of one table that was mapped via TopLink's own "Add or Update Existing Tables from Database". I made no modifications to the automatically generated mappings.<br>
    <br>
    After I set up the rest of the project, I ran it and it ran okay.<br>
    <br>
    Then I went to the table descriptor, then to the "Locking" tab, and then I selected "Optimistic Locking" -> "By Fields" -> "Changed Fields".<br>
    <br>
    That was ALL I changed.<br>
    <br>
    And when I tried to run the project this time, I got the following exception:
    <blockquote>
    Exception [TOPLINK-43] (Oracle TopLink - 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.0.0) (Build 060118)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.DescriptorException

    </blockquote>
    Can anybody tell me what that means? And why do I see "VersionLockingPolicy" in the stack trace? I explicitly specified locking "By Fields".<br>
    <br>
    Here's a fragment from the project XML file:
    <blockquote>
    <toplink:locking xsi:type="toplink:changed-fields-locking-policy"/>
    </blockquote>
    Is this a TopLink bug or am I doing something wrong? (By the way, if I choose optimistic locking by "All fields", it works. But locking by "Changed fields" doesn't.)<br>

    Ooooops, sorry, guys!
    I was using TopLink 10.1.3.0 JARs to run a project created via TopLink 10.1.3.1 Workbench. That was the reason for the exception.
    I ran across the REAL problem, however. The one that was occurring when I created the TopLink project via JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 and ran it via JDeveloper 10.1.3.1. That's why I decided to try with TopLink 10.1.3.1 Workbench instead of JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.
    I will report the problem in a clean separate post.

  • Class tab when editing .java file

    In version 9.x of JDev, when editing a java file, along with 'Source' and 'Design' tabs at the bottom of the editor window, there was a 'Class' tab that let you manage the class' attributes,(methods, attributes...). In 10.1.3.0.3, this tab is missing. Where can one manage getter and setter attributes like previous versions?
    mike

    Thanks Shay. It seems I have to type in the declaration of the attributes before they show up in the Generate Accessors Dialog. Thsi approach is a big step backward!
    What happen to the 'Class' tab??!! Anyone know?
    I didn't get a vote on this!

  • ITunes on my iPod Touch is missing some tabs

    Can somebody help me?
    I have:
    + iPod Touch 4th Generation 32GB
    + Wi-fi connection
    + iOS5 installed
    iTunes on my iPod Touch is missing some tabs. The only tabs that's showing on my iTunes are Podcast, iTunes U, Search and Downloads
    Also, whenever I try to load un Podcast tab, it ALWAYS say Your request could not be completed.
    Thank you very much!

    Where exactly are the tabs that are showing, are they a list at the bottom of the page and next to it is the "More" option, or are you referring to the options on the More tab? You can move these options between the bottom of the page and the More section.
    Is that the problem, or is there something else missing? (Perhaps it would have helped if you had mentioned what is missing). If it's the Apps section you are looking for, it has its own App button on the Home screen.
    As for the problem with downloading Podcasts, I would try getting them in iTunes on your computer if you cannot download them via the Touch's Wi-Fi.

    Hi,
    actually you increment the index
    pstmt.setString(++idx,inrecord.getCommentID());
    which means you never have an index of 0 but always start with 1

  • Missing class indicator field from database row

    Hi,
    I have following problem :
    There is a class inheritance with root interface and 4 subclasses, they are initialized with class indicator field. If I use ReadAllQuery with an interface or some of concrete class as search class - it is working perfect, but if I try to build query with custom selected fields (addPartialAttribute) I always get an error - Missing class indicator field from database row.
    AFAIK This field have not to be mapped in Workbench to real table column, how can I tell TopLink that I will read this indicator field too by reading some custom fields ? I thought TopLink reads such fields automatically, like it does it with primary keys.
    Thank you
    Maksim

    This sounds like an issue with our partial attribute queries and inheritance as the type indicator column must always be read. Can you map the type indicator to a read-only attribute (mark mapping as read-only) and include this in your list of attributes as a work-around?

  • XML mapping inheritance problem; missing class indicator field

    Hi!
    I am currently working on a project which involves mapping a large domain model on a XSD schema. For this we use Toplink 10.1.3.1 which is mostly great. But now I have a problem while wanting to use class inheritance.
    In my XSD I have the following defined
    <xs:complexType name="Traject">
         <xs:sequence>
              <xs:element name="SoortTraject" type="SoortTraject"/>
         </xs:sequence>
    </xs:complexType>
    <xs:complexType name="SpecialTraject">
         <xs:complexContent>
              <xs:extension base="Traject">
                   <xs:sequence>
                                 [some elements]
                   </xs:sequence>
              </xs:extension>
         </xs:complexContent>
    </xs:complexType>My XML is an implementation of this XSD and looks like this
    <Trajecten>
            <Traject xsi:type="SpecialTraject">
                     [implementation of the elements]
             </Traject>
    </Trajecten>My domain model corresponts to the XSD, so there is a Traject object and an inherited SpecialTraject object.
    In the mapping I used the Advanced properties->inheritance on both descriptors telling the Traject descriptor that it was the 'Root Parent Descriptor' ('Use class indicator field' -> 'use XML Schema Type attribute', 'Use class indicator dictionary') and the SpecialTraject what it Child Descriptor was ('Traject').
    When I test my mapping it always results in the same error (no matter how I configure this inheritance mapping). It says :
    [TOPLINK-44] missing class indicator field
    Descriptor: XMLDescriptor(Traject --> [])What am I doing wrong? Does anybody know a sollution?
    Best regards,

    This is the changed XML descriptor file. When I deploy the file it automaticly overrides the old file so it ain't possible that I was still using the wrong file

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
    As per client's requirement, we shouldn't be using java service for this functionality.
    And as you said, the oracle adapters are not taking anywhere, but guess have no other choice..

    Any response/advice is greatly appreciated.
    I've searched the forums, and I saw some had this error, but the post wasn't resolved. We are on 12.1.3. I've done this plenty of times when we were on 11.5.10 with great success. I've personalize a page to look at my extendedController, bounced apache:

  • How to get missing classes from J2SE to J2ME?

    Hello,
    I am currently developing a J2ME project. As IDE I use Eclipse with the plugin EclipseME. It works great.
    Now I have the following problem: I need some classes which are present in J2ME (e.g. sorting of Strings, date functions). So I downloaded the source code for the JDK. Now I want to compile the missing classes (the ones that are not in the libs coming with the WTK) from JDK source into my project, so I can use these functions which are missing in standard J2ME. Importing the whole JDK tree is problematic, because then all classes will be compiled from source. This will cause errors with the JVM on the target device.
    Is there a possibility to import the JDK sources and only let compile the classes that are missing in J2ME libs? What is the best way to do this? Or do I have to add the source of each class (and it's dependencies) i need manually? Can I in this case use the original tree of packages and classes (e.g. java.util.ClassName) or do I have to create and new subtree (project.ClassName) in my project and import from there?
    Greetz
    schneidexe

    Generally, this is not possible. The classes have far to many references to other classes, and there are far to many incompatibilities to make it work.
    Best solution is to make your own J2me substitution, or find some j2me api that already does what you want.

    Hey
    check your connection factories
    make sure you have all the required libraries in your classpath
    most probably that you are missing some libraried ..
    give a try and see what happens ;)

  • Problems running servlet due to missing classes?

    Hi everyone,
    I am doing a project which requires me to convert a java coding into a servlet. This java coding I am working on is some kind of location based service which tracks people (receiving an argument of a string as IP). It imports an external SDK called Ekahau SDK (some off the shelve product). Now I wish to convert it into a servlet so that the function that the java coding performs can be run from a webpage i created.
    I have previously posted a thread on this forum called "Converting java coding into servlets?" when I had trouble compiling the servlet. Now that I could compile the servlet already, I still have problems running the servlet from my browser.
    The webserver I am using is Apache Tomcat. Previously I was trying Apache HTTP server but since now I need to use servlet, I have shifted to Tomcat instead. I have been getting these "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:" when running the servlet from the browser. From the previous thread, I got suggestions from the replies saying that I need to put the jar files I need into my "C:\Tomcat\webapps\try\WEB-INF\lib" directory. I have been looking for the missing jar files from the internet and putting them into my "C:\Tomcat\webapps\try\WEB-INF\lib", but each time after adding a new jar file, I get another new "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:". Are the missing jar files really the problems? Cause it seems a bit weird to me that I need some many jar files which I dont even know why I need them for.
    The HTTP status 500 error look like this:
    description
    The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
    exception
    javax.servlet.ServletException: Servlet execution threw an exception
    root cause
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/excalibur/configuration/CascadingConfiguration
    com.ekahau.G.N.A(Unknown Source)
    com.ekahau.G.N.<init>(Unknown Source)
    com.ekahau.sdk.imp.yax.D.<init>(Unknown Source)
    com.ekahau.sdk.imp.yax.E.connect(Unknown Source)
    com.ekahau.sdk.PositioningEngine.connect(Unknown Source)
    coreservlets.testing.find(testing.java:75)
    coreservlets.testing.doGet(testing.java:36)
    javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:690)
    javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:803)
    Here are the series of jar files I have been looking from the internet to add them into my "C:\Tomcat\webapps\try\WEB-INF\lib" directory:
    1) org/apache/commons/collections/Closure
    2) org/apache/log4j/Logger
    3) org/apache/commons/lang/Validate
    4) org/apache/excalibur/configuration/CascadingConfiguration
    Please help~~ Thanks a lot.

                   PositioningEngine.disconnect();

                                  Location loc = locationEstimate.getLatestLocation();
                             final double coX = loc.getX();
                             final double coY = loc.getY();
                             try{
                             FileWriter file = new FileWriter ("C:\\Documents and Settings\\xamule\\Desktop\\Testing\\output\\output.txt");
                             String x = Double.toString(coX);
                             String y = Double.toString(coY);
                             String coor = x + "\t" + y;
                             file.write(coor);
                             file.close();
                             catch (IOException e){
                             System.out.println("Error..." + e.toString());
                   StatusListener statusListener = new StatusListener()
                           public void handleStatus(Status status, TrackedDevice device)
                                  System.err.println(new Date()+"\tStatus for device: " + status);
                         // Add listeners and start tracking
                         device.addLocationEstimateListener(estimateListener);
                         device.addStatusListener(statusListener);
                         device.setTrackingParameter("EPE.LOCATION_UPDATE_INTERVAL","6000");
                         device.setTracking(true);
                         // Wait until user inputs something. When he/she does, stop tracking and quit application
                         //BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
                         //in.readLine();
                         // Stop tracking and disconnect from the positioning engine:
                         device.setTracking(false);
                         PositioningEngine.disconnect();
                   return 1;
    }

    Well, it's kind of logical that as you put more jar files (classes) in Tomcat, it changes the error to ask for the classes (inside a jar) it cannot find.
    There was a good class->jar finder on the internet some years ago, but i don't remember the address. Try looking for that and search all the missing classes (NotDefined) and their correspondig jar files.
    Good Luck!

  • TopLink to EclipseLink migration - Missing class for indicator field value

    I am migrating Toplink 11g to EclipseLink 12.1.3.  I have EclipseLink.jar to the classpath. I have few mapping xml files. When executing the application, i am getting following error.
    Exception [EclipseLink-9005] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.5.2.v20140319-9ad6abd): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.SessionLoaderException
    Exception Description: An exception was thrown while loading the project-xml file [META-INF/Business.xml].
    Internal Exception: Exception [EclipseLink-43] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.5.2.v20140319-9ad6abd): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DescriptorException
    Exception Description: Missing class for indicator field value [toplink:object-type-mapping] of type [class java.lang.String].
    Descriptor: XMLDescriptor(org.eclipse.persistence.mappings.DatabaseMapping --> [DatabaseTable(attribute-mapping)]).
    How to resolve this.

  • Missing classes in WLS10

    There seem to be a load of missing classes in WLS10. I've posted this in [url http://forums.bea.com/thread.jspa?threadID=300003116]http://forums.bea.com/thread.jspa?threadID=300003116 ( this newsgroup is fairly well hidden )
    Thanks in advance
    -Giles

    I was wondering about the EXACT same thing! Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for leaving some classes in weblogic.jar and splitting the remainder in /modules.
    This has also caused immense heartache for Eclipse/WTP users who don't use (and never really had to) the WLS server plugin's. Now, you are pretty much forced to use the plugin due to all the build and code-editing classpath issues.

  • Missing classes from the javax.swing package?

    Can anyone throw any light on what appears to be a missing class from the javax.swing package?
    When CelsiusConverter.java from The Swing Tutorial (code fragment shown below) is compiled the JFrame class can't be found.
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class CelsiusConverter implements ActionListener {
        JFrame converterFrame;Despite the package javax.swing being imported, the compiler does not seem to be be able to find the JFrame class.
    CelsiusConverter.java:14: Class JFrame not found in type declaration.
        JFrame converterFrame;To attempt to solve this issue all the files in jdk1.5.0_02\lib were added to CLASSPATH.
    CLASSPATH was set to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib\dt.jar;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib\htmlconverter.jar;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib\jconsole.jar;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib\tools.jar;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib\ir.idl;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib\jawt.lib;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib\jvm.lib;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\lib\orb.idl;C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\demo\jfc\SwingApplet\SwingApplet.jar;.;c:\CoreJavaBook

    This is extremely strange... If you're sure it's not a problem in your code or with your classpath, the only other thing I can think to suggest is re-downloading / installing java
