Missing Contacts in Outlook 2013

I have an "incomplete" list of contacts on my Windows 8.1 laptop when compared to my Windows 7 desktop. The Outlook calendar is synced. I can correct information on a contact with my Win7 Outlook and it will be corrected on the Win8.1 laptop. But
there are a few contacts missing from the Win8 list. I have tried resaving the contact on the Win7 file but that did not change the problem. According to list totals, I have 132 contacts on the desktop and 120 on the laptop.  The contact is not flagged
as private. Any suggestions?

#1 - How many contact items are contained in the folder when checked via your web interface?
#2 - If you create a new contact on the Win7 machine - does it sync correctly on the Win8 machine?
Presuming this is in reference to an Outlook.com account configured as EAS on both systems - you can delete the .OST file on your Win8 machine. Outlook will be recreate the OST file the next time it starts, the purpose of which is to exclude the possibility
that the OST file associated with the Outlook.com account has become corrupted.
This also presumes that you didn't create Contact Groups on your Win7 machine which are local to that machine only and don't sync across to other devices.

  • How to Export Import vCard contacts in Outlook 2013? Does it convert multiple Contacts at once?

I am using latest edition of Microsoft Outlook 2013. I believed that it will definitely help to convert 1500 vCards contacts into Outlook 2013, all at once, but it is not supported to be possible because, still, Outlook 2013 has not improved in this direction.
Any hope for me rather than exporting or importing contacts one by one???

If it is one time requirement, simply use vbacode but it exports few garbage values. I tried this code and got below given garbage value (in place of image) apart from real one in every vCards. Vbacode did not export images:

  • When connecting SharePoint Foundation 2013 contacts to Outlook 2013 in Outlook it is read only.

    Hello.
When I connect Sharepoint 2013 Calendars and Contacts to Outlook 2013 I receive the message " You cannot make changes to contents of this read-only folder" if I try to insert a new contact or a new appointment in SharePoint through Outlook (in

  • Sync calendar and contacts between Outlook 2013 and iPhone 4

I am trying to sync my calendars and contacts between Outlook 2013 (Office 365 Home Premium) and my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.4).  I have created a confusing mess for myself and do not recognize all of the calendars that appear in Outlook or the iPhone.  I
abandoned the use of the iCloud because the iCloud calendar invitations my coworkers received in MS Outlook are too confusing to read.
Is there a proven process for syncing when i add a new contact or calendar event in one device so that it shows up simultaneously in the other?  If the process is too laborious, is there an Outlook add-on?
I have tried the Exchange ActiveSync but I can't get this to work smoothly.  I can't move recurring calendar events that started in the past.  Further, I have to navigate 2 separate data files in outlook to find the right calendar or inbox.
I am not sure if Exchange and Exchange ActiveSync are the same or not.
Additionally, this is a private domain address (my work email).

    Hi,
Basically, Exchange ActiveSync and Exchange are two different sets of protocols, but both of them have the feature to sync contacts and calendars between different devices.
If your company provides an Exchange account for you, just setup it in Outlook Client, it will sync the contacts and calendars between clients and the Server.
If you have an Outlook.com(Hotmail) or any other email account that supports Exchange Activesync, just set it up in Outlook, the contacts and calendars will also sync.
As for iPhone, just make sure it also uses the same protocol.
If there's anything wrong with the account sync on PC, rename the current data file to ".old", let Outlook create a new one to sync, or we can create a new profile to setup the account:

  • Missing emails on Outlook 2013, not happy.

Bought a new PC and on previous PC was using Outlook 2010, new PC uses Outlook 2013.  After synchronising with the server I have emails dating back to 2009, which is fine, but there are a lot of emails missing from Nov 2014-Mar 2015.  No matter
how many times I hit send/receive they just dont show up in Inbox.  How can I get these emails back?

    Hi
As per the information and details provided by you, to solve the issues of missing emails in Outlook 2013, please follow these steps: -
Get the files from old computer
    Put files on New Computer
    Create a Profile
    More Settings
    Add Old Data File (.pst)
    Finishing Touches
    Signature and Stationery
Do you leave mail on POP3 server? By default Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 automatically leave POP3 mail on the server for 14 days.
Things to keep in mind when you are preparing the new computer: -
You really only need to move the PST and create a new profile using this PST, the other files Outlook uses are created as you use Outlook.
If you use Windows Easy Transfer to move your Outlook data, you can need to recreate your Outlook profile as the move process can corrupt. You can only move user data,
    not the program itself.
Your accounts are stored in the registry and need to be recreated on the new computer.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • Adding an S/MIME certificate to an existing contact in Outlook 2013

In previous versions of Outlook (e.g. 2010) when you received an S/MIME signed certificate from an external party you could right click on their name in the message and select "Add to Outlook Contacts". This would then store the cert in a contact
for future use. If a contact already existed then it would prompt you to
update the contact with the additional information including the certificate.
In Outlook 2013 this process appears to be broken (for
    existing contacts at least).
When right-clicking on their name in a signed message you don't get the "Add to Outlook Contacts" option. You only get "Edit Contact" which brings up the new "Contact Card" dialog which has no information about certificates.
If you make a change there and save then the certificate is not stored in the contact.
You can confirm this by right-clicking the sender in the signed email and selecting "Open Outlook Properties" (do not select "Open Contact Card"). In this view click the "Certificates" button in the header and you will see that
there are no certificates associated with the contact.
You can, I guess, export the certificate to disk and then import it into the contact via the Outlook Properties dialog but this is tedious.
Any ideas how to work around this and update an existing contact with an S/MIME certificate?
Any ideas why the certificate information is not accessible in the new Contact Card dialog? Seems unfortunate for those of us using S/MIME.

    Hi Barry,
As per the following article, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/get-a-digital-id-HA102748952.aspx and specifically the following section:
Add a recipient's digital ID to your Contacts, the ability to see the Certificates depends on the view in which you are opening the Contact card.
In the People or Business Card view we cannot see the Certificates button.
In the Card, Phone or the List view we can see the Certificates tab where the Certificates can be seen.
So to work around this behavior, for new contacts you should Add to Outlook Contacts and then go into the People Pane and Check the Certificates tab to get the cert details.
If you already have the contact added then it becomes a little tricky.
In that case the Certificate is not updated on the "old contact". In such cases I would delete the existing contact and from the latest e-mail that I received, I would Add to Outlook Contacts and that should then get you the new Cert that you received.
If you still cannot access the Certificate information, I would call in and work with someone from the Outlook team to assist you further with this request.
    Hope this helps!

  • How can I see the windows 8 contacts in outlook 2013 with groups preserved

I an see my windows 8 contacts.
they are all nice and some are broken down into groups.
(I double clicked an old .wab and they imported nicely into windows 8, preserving groups)
now how can I see this same structure as an email lists with groups in outlook 2013?  I see the emails, but no groups.
    can you help?
    thanks

Those groups are not supported in outlook - outlook uses a different format for groups. You'll need to import the individual contacts into Outlook and recreate the groups.

  • Change the default country code for new contacts in Outlook 2013 for countries not listed in Control Panel Region Format

    Dear all,
I would like to change the default country code for new Outlook 2013 contacts. My country is Mozambique (+258) and is not listed under Control Panel> Region> Formats> Format:
Is there any place (registry maybe, anywhere) where I can manipulate the existing formats or manually add a new format to the List ??? - for example Portuguese (Mozambique).
    I am using Windows 8.1
I have tried changing the country on the phone and modem options and nothing changes. Also changing the Home Location on Region> Location to Mozambique didn't change a thing. The only place where I change something and produces results is the
    Format List.
Any ideias???? If not, is there a place where I can ask Microsoft to include Portuguese (Mozambique) on future windows updates???
    Kind regards,
    Osvaldo

    Hi,
Windows uses the information set under
'Phone and Modem'  in the Control Panel to determine the default area code.
You can change the country/region to
    Mozambique

  • Unable to sync Mail/Calendar/Contacts with Outlook 2013

I'm using the latest version of iCloud Control Panel to sync with Outlook 2013 on Windows 8, but I don't have the option to. Where there should be a checkbox on the Control Panel for Mail, Contacts, Calendars etc. there is just a message saying that these are 'available at iCloud.com'. I've searched through iCloud.com and can see no way to change this. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Control Panel, with no effect. I have checked Outlook Add-in management and the iCloud Add-in is active.
Does anybody have any idea what's happening?

I Installed office 2013 64bit on W8 64bit with icloud 2.1.1 (2 email account as imap) and everything works ok !
    also with office 2010 64bit on W7 64bit.
    Bye.

  • Contact Sync problem - Syncing contacts TO Outlook 2013 stopped working, whilst syncing contact FROM Outlook 2013 to iPhone still works.

    I've tried everything...
iPhone version: 5S with latest OS (v.8.1).
Outlook version 2013, on Windows 7, latest iTunes version (12.x)
I prefer NOT to use iCloud (as the representation of iCloud contacts in Outlook ignores the contacts' folder division, which is important to me).
I have an Exchange server, though the sync is directed to my local Outlook client.
All other settings looks good (again, syncing FROM Outlook TO iPhone works, but I need vice versa).
I've tried syncing with closed Outlook client. Tried resetting configuration, tried moving to iCloud and back etc.. All, just to see the problem persist. Newly created contacts on the PC get synced to the iPhone, while newly created contacts ON the iPhone, does not get synced to Outlook.
    Please HELP.

I have the same problem, when I sync the contacts they pass well from outlook to my iphone, but not the way around, indeed it changes my iphone contacts information and dismisses all the inputs that I already made in the iphone.

  • I have windows 8.1 and having installed icloud 3.0 cannot view my contacts in Outlook 2013

I have windows 8.1 and having installed icloud 3.0 cannot view my contacts in Outlook 2013

    This fixed the issue:
    1. sign out of iCloud. (make sure you are really signed out or it won't work!)
    2. open Outlook and make sure iCloud is not listed in Account Settings
    3. close Outlook
    4. sign in to iCloud and let it set up Outlook sync
You shouldn't need to reinstall anything.  Just remember that when you first look at your calendar/contacts in Outlook it will default to show your Outlook (saved locally) calendar and contacts.  You may need to select iCloud to see them.

  • Export contacts from Outlook 2013 as CSV - no email

    Hello;
I am trying to sync all of my contacts, and in the process I'm getting a lot of contacts that need merging.  i.e.:
Two contact records for one, John Smith.  One record has phone and address while the other has the email.  I want one use Excel and an Add-On to Combine rows like this...
    Contacts to Merge
    Name
    Phone
    Address
    Email
    John Smith
    555-111-2222
    1234 Main St
    John Smith
    [email protected]
    Desired Results
    Name
    Phone
    Address
    Email
    John Smith
    555-111-2222
    1234 Main St
    [email protected]
However, when I export contacts that are from Outlook's "Connect to social network" I'm not getting the email from all my contacts in the exported CSV so combining rows in Excel doesn't help anything.
These are two contacts I want to merge into one.  One is from Facebook/LinkdedIn and the other is from my iPhone.
When I export my contacts I get a record for each contact, but the email doesn't show up in the CSV.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

  • Outlook 2013 with Exchange Server - Changed custom form for contacts is not shown

    Hello,
    Our infrastructure:
    Exchange Server 2010
    Outlook 2010
    Outlook 2013
Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8.1 Pro
    The situation:
We've used an old custom form for contacts, worked perfectly fine
I've updated the form (adding some new custom fields and checkboxes) using Outlook 2013 and publishing the form (with a new name) to the Exchange folder
I've set the form as default form in our contacts folder
I've used this Script to set the new form for the existing contacts  and the name of the new form is saved correctly
BUT if I open a contact in our Exchange contacts folder, Outlook 2013 (Outlook 2010) still shows the old form
    Steps I've taken so far:
    Cleared Outlook forms cache
Repeated the above steps 1-4 in Outlook 2010
Switched Cached Exchange Mode off and back on
Allowed Scripts in Trust Center Settings
Used a new clean Windows installation with a new Outlook 2013 installation
Used different Exchange users on different systems, but some behavior when opening contacts
I'm out of options I can think of, so maybe somebody else has some new view on this problem.
Thank you very much in advance!
    Greetings,
    Karl

    Hi,
Is the Exchange folder in which the custom form is published available to all users?
From the description, the script used to work for the old custom form, correct? Which version of Outlook did you use with the old custom contact form? Outlook 2010/Outlook 2013 or an earlier version? If you used the script with an earlier version of Outlook,
we can't make sure it will still work with Outlook 2010/Outlook 2013.
In addition we may also try creating a new contact form and test the steps to see if it will work.
Please let me know the result.
