Missing content management data after upgrading to 9.2

Hi,
I upgraded an 8.1 SP4 portal domain and application to portal 9.2
My application makes use of the BEA Repository and has a few content types and related content. I am using the default Pointbase database. When I upgraded the domain using the domain upgrade wizard, I chose the wizard to upgrade the database as well as it was Pointbase.
After the upgrade, I noticed that the content is missing from the BEA Repository. In fact I opened up the database using the Pointbase Console and saw that the CM_NODE table does not have any rows at all.
Is there something else that needs to be done to have the CM data upgraded as well?

Do you have a backup copy of the domains 8.1 SP4 PointBase database files that you can share with me?
The data in the CM_NODE table (as well as all other DB tables) should be preserved during upgrade. For CM the following .sql files are executed during DB upgrade so no data loss should occur; $WL_HOME$/portal/db/pointbase/cm9_create_tables.sql

    There are a few missing drivers shown on the device manager after Upgrade to windows 8 for model: Envy 6-1006TX.
    The four items are:-
    1. PCI Device
    2. PCI Simple Communications Controller

    I try to find it on the support and download page on the product support but could not find.
    i even go to HP Support Assistant website to try download the support assistant for window 8, but the links is not working.

    Enter the Device Manager in Windows 8 by holding the Windows key and tapping the x key once. In the menu that is invoked, select the Device Manager. Right-click on the unknown device and then select the details tab. See the following image. I arbitrarily selected a device as an example. 
    Post the image by using the snipping tool. The snipping tool can be found by using the Windows key + x and selecting search. Type in "snipping" and the snipping tool link will appear for you to click on it and use as in the following image.
    Post all that is before the &SUBSYS in the top PCI\VEN alphanumeric string and I can use it to see if the manufacturer of the device has  posted a Windows 8 driver. Sometimes the success rate for finding a driver is greater at the manufacturer website.

  • Missing files - corrupt library after upgrade to 11.1.4

    I updated iTunes to 11.1.4, and after launching, it looked like it was updating my library as it's done in the past.  However, this time, after an hour I realized it had not yet completed, and a dialogue box asking about creating an iTunes U playlist was on the screen.  I tried to do so, but it just kept repeating.  So finally I stopped it, and now I have an file marked iTunes library (damaged) and an incomplete library.  I am missing thousands of songs compared to the last .itl I have in Previous iTunes Libraries.
    I thought when iTunes did an upgrade to the library it was supposed to make a backup? If so, and I did the upgrade yesterday, why is the most recent file in Previous iTunes Libraries dated from four months ago?
    How can I repair the damaged .itl file, as the one iTunes is using now as, as I mentioned, missing thousands of songs now.
    Is there any sort of script or utility I can use to figure out exactly which files are missing from the current .itl in my library?

    No, you need to do the backup as part of regular computer maintenance and before you do any software upgrades.  iTunes moves the old library into the previous library area but perhaps your update failed before it did that.

    Yes, there's one on the Dougscripts web site that will crawl through a library.  In yur case it's probably just as easy to drag the whole iTunes media folder to Automatically Add to iTunes.  Anything already in the library it will ignore.  Anything not there it will add.

  • User Management problem after upgrade of SAP DB/Database Studio

    Hi,
    after upgrading SAP DB to 7.8.02.21 and Database Studio to the same version (this is on Windows 7 64 bit professional) I experience that starting DB Studio as a normal user fails with a message regarding not being able to execute (?) User Management. To start the program I have to run it as administrator. Once I do this it will, afterwards, work fine for a normal user, too, but only for one day (or possibly one logon to Windows 7).
    (The error message does not even contain a hint to that solution)
    In previous versions it was necessary to run DB Studio once (after installation) as an adminstrator. After that it would work all the same for normal users.
    Is there a way to fix this? The desired behaviour being the one from previous versions that after one administrator run it can be started by my normal Windows user? It's, of course, not serious and I do know a workaround, but it's a bit annoying nonetheless.
    (And yes, I do know that Windows 7 is not an officially supported platform. I'm just shyly asking).

    due to the changes in the security concept in Windows 7 it's now required to be admin when you want to start or stop a service or to create 'global objects' like the shared memory files that are used to communicate between DBM-client, server and database kernel.
    Since the user management of MaxDB Studio actually is just a small MaxDB instance, the service for this must be running.
    To start the service and to create the shared memory the admin privilege is necessary on Windows 7.
    What you may do is to flag the dbstudio.exe as "execute as administrator" - that will give you a pop-up warning every time you run the program but it will work.
    I assume that is the workaround that you're already using and it's the one I use as well.
    AFAIK the colleagues in Berlin are working on a version that doesn't require a MaxDB instance for local user management - that should remove this kind of problem as well.

  • Missing Content Management for KM in EP 7.0 SP09

    Hi All Experts,
    I have installed Enterprise Portal Java Web AS 7.0 SP09.
    I cannot find some links for KM in it, like "Content  Management"
    and channels(for sending SMS and E-mails), etc.
    I can see only a link i.e. "KM Content" under Content Administration after login as administrator.
    Can any body know how we can add these links ? Do we have to install KM separately or is there any role that we have to assign to the user?

    No need to install KM seperately, you must have Content Manager and Content Admin role.
    You can access the KM Content by,
    Content Administration -> KM Content.

    If you have done this and double checked the entries, you could at least try a server restart.

    does this happen to others users (administrators) or just you? And,
    have your Portal been recently installed, because accordingly to that
    screenshot I think you may not have KM totally configured.
    Do you have CM repository and Entry point Providers created?

  • Lost user data after upgrade bios in G580

    HI
    I have strange problem with Lenovo G580 with Windows 7. After upgrade bios to newest version and reboot my system start without any user data (no documents, no programs installed earlier), All reboot take short time, about 1-2 minutes. Only username stay the same.
    Is it possible that upgrade BIOS was bring recover system to factory?
    Does data can I recover somehow?
    I need help because there was important databases of company.

    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
    That's really strange indeed and very unusual as I've never seen a BIOS update delete a user's data before. Perhaps you're logged-in to a temporary user profile?
    To check if you're logged-in to a temp profile, show hidden files and navigate to C:\Users and check if you have an identical username with a dollar sign right next to it and apply this fix:

  • Error in TFS Release Management Server after Upgrading to Update 3

    Some weird and unexplained error logged in InRelease aka (Release Management) server event log after upgrading Release Management Update 1 to update 3.
    Below error started getting logged only after upgrading to Update 3.
    Even though we started the Inrelease Server and all agents but no luck.

    we started using  Release Management Update 1  and it was worked perfectly fine.  then we move to upgrade existing Release Management(server,
    Database and agent) with Update 3, which we did, and its working fine  except lots of error as mentioned in above thread, are getting logged in server event log at regular interval till now(3-4 errors every second).
    even though lots of error are getting logged but we are not facing any issue while using Release Management with update 3.
    But i am bit curious to know out reason for getting those error.

  • Re-loading data after upgrade from OS X 10.4 to OS X 10.5

    I cannot install OS X 10.5 over the top of 10.4 because I have upgraded the hard drive in my Macbook. Can I create a bootable version of my hardrive on an external drive and then transfer that data after I upgrade to 10.5? I am wondering if the fact that my bootable drive would have 10.4 on it would cause problems.

    Yes, in fact as soon as you install Leopard/10.5 & reboot to it, Migration Assistant will open & ask if you want to import Users, APPs & such from another drive or Mac, choose yes.
    I am wondering if the fact that my bootable drive would have 10.4 on it would cause problems.
    No problem, in fact you could choose which Drive & which OS you wanted to boot from, & back & forth.

  • You Tube App Missing on iPad 2 After Upgrade to iOS 5

    I have an iPad 2 that I purchased from a US Apple store in May 2011.  After upgrading to iOS 5 the You Tube app is missing.  How can I reinstall it?

    That is one of the standard apps that is not deletable.  So it is probably there somewhere.
    Check setting, general, restrictions, and make sure you didnt turn that on by accident.
    Then goto the searchlight screen, and type in you tube, and if the app is on the pad, it will find it.
    If restrictions are not on, and if searchlight does not find the app, do a full reboot,
    If still no joy, do a restore from backup. 
    But check restrictions first.

  • Content just disappear after upgrade

    Hi All -
    I hope someone can help me!
    I upgraded iTunes to v8; then connected my iPod Touch (v2.0.2), and I don't know why the content cannot be accessed, it only shows on capacity bar as space ocuppied by "Other", not by my music or my videos. So, I decided to disconnect the iPod, and guess what? Also in my iPod the content disappeared. After that, I upgraded the firmware of my iPod to v2.1 thinking that it would help, but nothing, same thing.
    Does anybody know what I can do?

    Put it in recovery mode.
    1. Verify you have iTunes 7.5 or later. Apple recommends using the latest version of iTunes.
    2. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone or iPod touch.
    3. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPhone or iPod touch to turn off.
    4. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting USB cable. When you reconnect USB, the device should then power on.
    5. Continue holding the Home button while iPod touch starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
    6. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button.
    7. Connect the iPod and follow the on screen instructions.

  • Missing entrys in SPRO after upgrade to FS-RI 6.60

    Hi,
    We've upgraded FS-RI 472 to 6.60 fp4.  (R/3 470 to ERP 60 EHP 4)
    Refering to the Release notes there should be some new entries under "Accounting", "Settings for Time Period".
    There should be "Edit Financial Years", "Open and Close Accounting Periods". We only have "Edit Scope of Accounting Period".
    Anyone have any idea? I guess I've missed some step in the upgrade.

    Looks like you need to add more space to /tmp directory as I see the following entries in CLONE*.error file.

  • Personal hotspot missing on iphne 4 after upgrading to IOS 5

    Since i upgraded my iphone 4 to IOS 5, the personal hotspot disappeared on the settings.
    can anybody help me how to fix this.

    Apple has not been forthcoming on the explanation. My Siri worked on my iphone4 (not 4s) immediately after upgrading to IOS5, but I take it they have redirected the servers that used to support Siri to only work with Iphone4s.
    It is one thing for apple to only bundle the improved Siri with IPhone 4S, or  for them to remove Siri from the Ap store.
    But it is another thing all together for apple to purchase a company, and then cease the service that many of us paid for.
    Attempts to contact apple at apple store and via email have been unhelpful.

  • Mini Bridge Missing from InDesign CS6 after Upgrade to InDesign Version 8.1

    I discussed this same problem https://forums.adobe.com/message/5833991 after upgrading to the prior version 8.0.2 of InDesign.
    After upgrading to InDesign Version 8.1, Mini Bridge no longer works.  Mini Bridge does not show under the Window menu and shift-clicking the Bridge icon opens the full Bridge, not Mini Bridge.
    With the prior version 8.0.2 problem, I was able to recover Mini Bridge by doing a re-install of InDesign under Window's Safe Mode.  Microsoft has somehow changed Safe Mode and I can no longer do the reinstall using Safe Mode.  I have tried several different ways of reinstalling version 8.1, but none of them correct this problem.  Still no Mini Bridge.
    Mini Bridge does work in Photoshop CS6 with no problem.
    I have read through all of the messages that seem to relate to this problem in this forum, but none of the suggested solutions work for me.
    Can anyone provide me with an answer?  If not, how do I get help from Adobe?  I am willing to pay for support, if necessary.

    RESOLVED - I can't believe it, but I have actually figured this out.
    Getting frustrated with going in circles, I decided to dig into security options.  First off, I opened Windows' Properties for the start-up icon for InDesign.  Right off, I noticed under the Compatibility tab that InDesign was set to run in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3).  This did not seem right, so I turned off the option to run in Compatibility Mode and re-started up InDesign.  Low and behold, the option Window | Mini Bridge was now displayed!  And it worked!
    Sorry to have bothered you gentlemen with this problem.  I really appreciate your assistance!
