Missing Controls

I'm using the latest version of iWeb.
I dragged an MP3 fro iTunes to my webpage and then added a photo to the object. In iWeb, I get a set of controls that allows me to start/stop the music.
However, when I review the page in Safari, after publishing, there are no controls, just a "?"
It works fine in FireFox and the Internet Explorer.
All suggestions are appreciated.

Actually, I did read about this solution somewhere else, but did not try it...because it did not make sense. Why do I have to change my import preferences, just to convert a song.
But as you know...that's what's required.

Excuse me they are actually indicators, however, they are already selected as shown, the problems is that if you take a look at the first pic, it shows all of them and in the second one not.
There are no errors on the VI that is why I think it should be something simple that I am not seeing, I am attaching a pic of the terminal that is supposed to be the one for all of them

Flash Media Player- missing controls

I am using the flash media player. When I publish the file, the controls seem to be missing from the player. I have the skin.swf file uploaded with the player....but it appears missing?
Could something else be causing this?

Reguardless of what is "encoded" into Shockwave Flash streaming player the fact that the settings default back to accept update notifications, allow peer to peer sharing, and storage settings still exist since the last several program updates.

All programs have been updated, re-installed to all current versions. Checked everyday the player will reset anywhere from one to five days from being set. I also check before and after any utilities run on my systems to verify the change is not caused by any resident commands or software. Yes this happens on different computers and OS.
I run all maintenance and security manually, including updates of any kind.

Missing controls (skin) on playback

When trying to play back a Flash video from my root
directory, the skin controls are missing. I do have the flv, swf,
skin and .js files all in one subdirectory (example:
/av/Hill_Hearn_Bonnie.swf, and the html in the root directory. The
original html was transferred from my computer to the server. I
have tried going all the way back to the flv file and making
another swf without any luck. In fact then the movie doesn't play.
In the current file the movie does play perfectly, but no controls.
I'd sure appreciate any insights on the topic. Here's the url to my

Additional question: Does the .js have to reside int he same
directory, and can the skin and .js files be common to several
files in the same directory. Sorry, I'm a newbie.

Here's how I solved my problem. I hope this will help other
beginners and hopefully someone will give me feedback if this is a
good and/or correct way to go about this. I certainly don't want to
give out bad info...

Import file to stage
Opens window: select video
I selected a file on my computer
progressive streaming
clearoverplayseekmute.swf
Finish
Control
Enable simple buttons
Enable simple frame actions (Though I'm not quite sure what
that does)
Publish settings
Publish
I uploaded the .swf, the .html and the .flv
Now it has settings for start/stop and mute. I still haven't
gotten it to go back to the beginning when it finishes and to get
it to go to full screen but I'm very encouraged.

Missing controls in Develop module - crop etc

They were there a couple of days ago but for the last few sessions the group of controls (including crop etc) that sit under the main image in the Develop module have gone missing.
I've been playing with the 'view' options without success and it seems that they are not coming back of their own volition.
Any help appreciated.

Missing control on compiled labview program

I recently compiled a very simple VI. The VI front panel contains a boolean switch. If the executable is run from the machine where it was compiled everything looks fine. However, when the executable is moved to a network drive and run the boolean control disappears. The control can still be operated and the boolean text labels are visible but the switch itself is gone. It there some additional support file needed? I did not use an installer. - I'm using Labview 6.1 on a Win 98 computer.

Usually this is because the mesa DLL is missing. You can use the
installer that came with LV, or you can copy the mesa DLL and keep it in
the same location relative to the EXE or DLL.

Missing control panel in illustrator CS6 on new macbook pro

I just installed CS6 on a brand new macbook pro and the top control panel is missing. I am particularly interested in the dimensions of an object and x and y location. This is what my control panel looks like now - no alignment options, x/y locations, dimensions, etc. . . Please help!

At least the appearance of it is in your screenshot.
What happens if you select an object?
If it refuses to show up in the right way, you may try the list (5) is unlikely); you may decide to go straight to 6).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

CS6 Lighting Effects-Missing Control Handles / Crashing

I have read several other threads on this issue where the control overlays are missing when you go to Filter>Render>Lighting Effects. The "answer" from Adobe always seems to be, "updated your video card drivers."
I have a ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 560v for my Dell laptop running Windows 7 64bit. I have checked both through Dell and the ATI page and I have the latest drivers but Lighting Effects don't work properly. So now what?
I tried messing with the Preferences for Performance based on other posts. No luck. When I go to View>Extras>Show All I do then see the controls, however, the program freezes then crashes every time.
So is there a fix for this or do I have to go back to CS4 to do all my lighting effects?

99% SOLVED! I think the problem here is that Photoshop users don't know the tech speak surrounding driver technology.
For instance when you started talking about AMD I was thinking, "I have an ATI driver, who is AMD?"
Also, quite frankly the AMD/ATI site is a very poor unser experience. I searched for my Dell Studio 1747 Laptop driver (ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 560v) several times and it found no drivers to update even though there is a whole page dedicated to that processor.
I never did find what you called a "driver cleaner" on the AMD site, however I stumbled (yes, stumbled after looking at tons of pages on AMD) on this AMD Driver Autodetect. I installed that and it recommended I replace my driver with AtI Mobility Radeon HD 4650. The process went smooth other than everything on my screen getting tiny for a bit. After the forced restart everything looked right.
I opened a Photoshop doc and tried Filter>Lighting Effects and still NO CONTROLS / HANDLES, however this time when I went to View>Extras>View All the handles showed like before BUT PHOTOSHOP NO LONGER CRASHES. I can now manipulate those controls/handles and use lighting effects.
I know this is not all of Adobe responsiblity, but I'm writing this post hoping anyone wlse who is frustrated will taked your advice, go to the AMD Driver Autodetect link and get it sorted out.

Embedded flvPlayBack component missing controls

I have a flvPlayback component in this url as you can see the controls are at the bottom so you can pause/play, adjust volune, etc.
I've embedded the first url in a post at this site everything works fine there except the control bar is missing. Any ideas?

That's odd I don't get an error message and I have the debug version of Flash player. Anyway I removed the skin from the wordpress site because the video would just go black when it was present. I think I'll just uploas everything to the WP site. OR maybe if I recode the the embedded swf so it uses an absolute address for the skin that would work.

Missing Controls in Linux [pbs]

There are a number of Flash video feeds at http://video.pbs.com. When I select one [e.g. the current Nightly Business Report], the controls do not show up [play/pause, position, volume, full-screen].
The controls DO show up in Sabayon Linux [5.0, 5.3] under both Firefox and Konqueror browsers.
The controls do NOT show up under Linux Mint 8 [Ubuntu], Mandrake 2010, simplyMEPIS 8.0, KNOPIX 6.2] on either Firefox, Konqueror [or Seamonkey].
I have tried both the supplied libflashplayer.so [typically 10.0.x] and the latest download [10.1.x] on all systems with the same result.
I get the same results on my laptop [newer Toshiba Satellite] and desktop [older HP pavillion] computers.
Any clues on what is required to get the controls to display?? I am really tired of watching in "postage stamp" mode.

PS: There seems to be an installer bug w Sabayon so that I cannot install on my desktop machine, but the liveCDs show the controls.

More info:
I found that the Arch Linux liveCD displays the PBS video controls.
This makes me think this is a linux support library issue.
So: the control bar appears in Sabayon Linux [Gentoo, but NOT in Pardis, also Gentoo] and Archio [Arch Linux] but not under other Linux distros I have tried.
Any hints here on where to look?

Missing Control File question

I run the database in archivelog mode. I take online back-ups and occasional full backups.
I take a full cold backup on day1 and on day 5 i take a hot backup including the control file.
After this i create a couple of tablespaces, and usual work but don't take backup.
On day 10 I lose my control files. Lets say all of them.
Can i restore my d/b as it was on day 10? If yes, how?

Edit Display Templates missing controls

Hi,
I'm having problems working with Search Display Templates on SharePoint Online. It started when I uploaded and published two new templates. When I edit the properties of a Search Results Web Part to use these templates, they are not appearing in the Display
Templates dropdowns (Results Control Display Template and Item Display Template).
Going to the Design Manager: Edit Display Templates page, there are no controls displayed at the top to enable me to manage the Display Templates. On other sites there are 'New, Upload, Actions and Settings' actions available.
I'm suspicious that the two issues are linked. I've compared features on the site collection that works and the one that doesn't - both on the same tenancy - and they both have the same features enabled at a site collection and site level. I also have
the same permission level on both sites.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Colin,
Please go to Design Manager->Edit Display Templates page, and check whether the
Approval Status of the two all are Approved. If not, please click the ECB menu->Publish a Major Version to publish them.

Missing controls with Quicktime

I just bought a new 13" MBP using 10.6.2 and in exploring the new OS (my MBP 15" has 10.5.x), I see there is no longer an option for the long standing separate control pane acessable via "window" menu which would otherwise provide speed, eq, tone, etc. that the new styled floating pane does.
Where do you access these features now?

Snow Leopard users can have two versions of QuickTime (X and 7.6.3). You install 7.6.3 from the Snow Leopard DVD.
QuickTime X doesn't have the same features as QuickTime Player. Use 7.6.3 if you want the A/V Controls window.

Missing controls when in resource manager of visual studio 2005

I'm trying to port an application to Visual Studio 2005. It uses GPIB and Serial controls. When I double-click on the
dialog to bring it up to look at the controls, an error is displayed saying that the controls could not be instantiated, reinstall or register the
controls and try again. I have installed and have Measurement Studio in my Visual Studio 2005. I know this is probably vague,
but ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

I assume you were using the CWGPIB and CWSerial ActiveX controls right? What
version of Visual Studio were you previously using (VS 6.0, .NET 2003)? Also
what language were you programming in (C++, VB, etc) and what language are you
in now (C++, VB.NET, C#)?
Also what version of Measurement Studio did you purchase (Standard,
Professional or Enterprise)? The reason I ask is that those CWGPIB and CWSerial
ActiveX controls are legacy components and you will need the Measurement Studio
for Visual Studio 6.0 support to have these components. This CD only comes with
the Professional and Enterprise versions of Measurement Studio.
My guess is that you only have the Standard Edition which doesn't come with the
VS 6 support.
If you are programming in .NET (C#, VB.NET), I highly
recommend that you use the native .NET VISA and GPIB class libraries with
Visual Basic .NET rather than the ActiveX controls. The .NET class libraries
are more full featured, exhibit better performance, and should be much more
natural to use in VB.NET or C# than the ActiveX controls.

Missing control knobs after exporting project from iPad to Macbook

Hi, I recently purchased a macbook pro and started using GarageBand on it. I have GarageBand projects on my iPad and I already managed to export them via iTunes and I can access them on my Mac. But, I am having problems with reaching the same control settings (control knobs) for keyboards that I had on iPad. For example I recorded something with the software instrument Sabertooth which had an "LFO rate" knob (pot meter) in the iPad's version of Garageband but it seems like I only can reach different type of control knob setting in the Macbook's version of Garagaband. Have you met this problem or could you tell me if it is possible to reach and modify the same parameters that I had in GarageBand on the iPad? I would appreciate any kind of help. Thank you.

I went to the Apple Genius Bar at my local Apple store. They gave me the solution. In case anyone else encounters this situation, plug the iPad into the iMac, Click on the iPad device manager in iTunes, click on the apps tab, under the filesharing section click on iMovie app, and when the movies wanting to be deleted appears there, select them all and hit the delete key. There are no instructions on the screen to show this. The only options the screen shows is add to or save as. But the delete key does work and frees up the space of the iPad itself.
