Missing datasources

Hello,
Can someone help me with the following problem. I miss some datasources when I replicate in BW (7.0). In CRM (5.0) I check whether these datasources were available or not. But they were not.
I miss the following datasources:
0CRM_SRV_COSTS
0CRM_CONF_COSTS
0CRM_SERVICE_CONTROLLING_I
0CRM_SERVICE_CONTROLLING_H
0CRM_SRV_CO_PLAN
What should I do?

Hi,
Where did you check in CRM: RSA6 or RSA5? If there are not available in RSA^ it may mean that they are not activated. You can select and activate in RSA5. Remember to open the entire hierarchy for the datasources, and select the topmost node, then search. Do no use * in your search term.
Hope this helps...

  • Missing datasources when installing Business Content

    Hi All
We have a requirement for a number of SBC infoproviders (BI7/ECC6) which are new to us.
The majority we have installed successfully but we are having problems with 0SLL_C01 / C02 and C03 which relate to Customs and 0BVTSD02 which is a Telephones Sales Acitivity DSO from the Beverage Industries area.
We have 'successfully' installed all the data flows down to the infosource level but none of the datasources were installed.
On re-checking in our source system RSA5/RSA6 we realised there were no datasources available for these infosources.
How do you add business content datasources to your source system so they are available? or have we missed a process?
    Thanks
    Jerry

    Hi Jerry,
The Datasource you are talking about is related to release of SAP GTS 3.0  pack.
So please check with you basis team whether they have installed this plug-in in your source system.
If these release /plug-in are not installed in your sourcce system you wont be able to finf it in the RSA5/RSA6.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Missing datasource descriptions

All descriptions of my CRM datasources are missing.
We have BI 7.0 Patch level 14. The background user has logon language "de". The datasources descriptions are maintained in "de".
Why do we see no datasource descriptions at all (also the field descriptions are missing)?

    Hi Nene,
i guess while transporting the request, not all part of the request have been transported because of certain reason , please confirm with the basis person or anyone who have transported the request form DEV tp QA.
The problen genereally in such a case that Datasource remain inactive so transport request carries the same inactive form of the datasource and hence while applying the request to QA, QA doesnot accept the inactive objects, u can confirm this by having look at SE10 for ur request. So go to the RSA6 and save the datasource again this will actully activate the datasource followed by attaching the new request number, confirm the activation by seeing the request in SE10.

  • Missing Datasource

    Hi guys
I can see 0DOC_Number in BW, but when i try to assign a datasource i do not get a valid option. I tried searching for the datasource in R/3 {RSA5/6} but i cannot loact 0Doc_Number anywhere in R/3. Can you please tell me how to locate this datasource or what may be going wrong? Thanks.

  • Missing BI content datasources

Hi all. I have an issue... I'm trying to activate some BI content datasources, but there are missing a lot of them. Do somebody knows why?
    Here are my system status:
    SAP_BW     700     0017     SAPKW70017     SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0
    BI_CONT     703     0009     SAPKIBIIP9     Business Intelligence Content
Note: It only happens in my BW DEV system. In BW QAS (same installation) there are all the missing datasources.

There have not many BI content datasources in BI.
If you are considering ERP data source, you should check RSA6 in ERP/QAS and Compare it with RSA6 in ERP/DEV.
Transport all datasources in interests from ERP/DEV to ERP/QAS and replicated them to BI/QAS at once, and you will find the missing BI Content data sources.
    hope it can help.

  • Datasources Missing when Installing Technical Content for BI Admin Cockpit

    Hi,
I have installed the Technical Content for BI Admin Cockpit in our QA systems, for BI7, using SPRO, and it seems that there are some missing datasources, transfer rules, etc.,
The one's that are missing are:
    => 0TCTPRCSVAR_TEXT
    => 0TCTPRCSVAR_ATTR
    => 0TCTBWOBJCT_TEXT
    => 0TCTBWOBJCT_ATTR
Does anyone know if this is a known issue, that these are not available?
Please let me know if they're required, and if there's a fix to get them back.
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi John,
In my system the symptom is the same. So I just installed them myself in RSA1->BI Content.
I don't think it's a big problem because the queries on the MultiProviders can run without these master data. For example, you may find the text of query is missing but you can see query's technical name.
I remember when I activate 0TCTBWOBJCT_TEXT and 0TCTPRCSVAR_TEXT, these datasources are in BI 7 version but there's no transformation. So I create myself.
Please let us know if you have other questions.

  • Missing CMS DataSource

    Hi Experts,
I have recently installed Business Contents 3.5.3 to utilise CMS infoProviders for reporting.
However, I cannot seem to locate relevant DataSources to populate ODS Objects in R/3 whilst all the CMS master DataSource are found using RSA5 (FS_ROOT --> FS --> CMS --> CMS-IO).
what is PI/ST-PI requirement in R/3 to install missing DataSources?

From BI content documentation, CMS should be a part of FINSERV 500 component. However, it has been the case that only master data datasources are available.
A small note in OSS note 635608 says the following
    "FS-CMS
Release with approval by/following consultation with SAP
Use of Component CMS Requires Consultation and Actual Approval by the IBU FS
    (Changed on August 26, 2003)
CMS functions are available for CMS charter clients. IBU Financial Services must have been consulted and must have granted approval before other customers can use the CMS component. For consultation, contact the person responsible directly by e-mail ([email protected]).
Valid from SAP APPL 4.70 to SAP APPL 4.70"
Maybe an OSS message to SAP shall help.
    cheers,

  • Data Source Missing in Publication

    HI experts,
I've got a business objects publication which uses 1 crystal report as the source data and 1 crystal report as the dynamic recipients. When run seperately both these crystal reports work fine but when I try to schedule the publication I keep getting the error message 'Unable to connect. Incorrect logon parameters'.
The source data crystal report uses 2 different data sources and when I look at the database logon parameter within the report I can see them both and they have the correct passwords. When I look at the database logon parameter of the source data within the publication I can only see 1 datasource.
I'm assuming my problem is something to do with the missing datasource but I don't know how to view it within the publication.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks
    Stuart.

    Hi Mansi and Rathi
Will creating a new infopackage or replicating hamper anything that is already existing. I am new to BI and actually was asked only to work in queries. I dont want to take a chance, just in case.
I have 3 infopackages already created for this data source.

  • Need a way to get the datasources in R/3 DEV which are created directly in R/3 Prod

    Hi Experts,
We have done cloud migration recently.  The exact scenario is as follow :
We have tacken system copy of original BI PROD to BI DEV, QA and PROD on cloud.
But for R/3 we have tacken system copy of original R/3 DEV to Cloud R/3 DEV.
But the problem is, before migration we had created some datasources directly in original R/3 PROD. Hence those datasources are not present in R/3 DEV on cloud because its a system copy of original R/3 DEV. (But BI DEV is system copy of original BI Prod ).
We can not take system copy of R/3 Prod to R/3 DEV because we have done large developements in R/3 DEV after migration which we dont want miss.
Now our concern is how we can get those missing datasources back to cloud R/3 DEV.
Please let us know if there is any way in which we can get them from R/3 Prod or any other solution ??
    Thanks in advance !

  • Fix MSBuild error = Could not find .datasource file

    Hi,
I have a VS2010 solution that I opened in VS2013 and followed the automatic conversion process.  After that I edited the TFS build process template to remove the extraneous references to Version=10.0.0.0 which were duplicated due to a VS2010 bug (I
found a blog by an MS employee that pointed to this issue).  The solution builds fine from my VS2013 but when I submit it to TFS build server using the modified build process template, I get an error (please see attached) referring to missing .datasource
file for one of the WCF projects.
What could I do in terms of possible adding build parameters to the MSBuild or changes to the WCF project to remove this error?

    Thanks for your post.
What’s the version of your TFS, TFS 2010 or TFS 2013?
You want convert your VS 2010 solution to VS 2013 version, and built it using TFS 2013 Build?
On your current build agent machine, try to manually build your converted solution using VS 2013 and MSBuild command separately, ensure you can manually build your solution on build agent machine successfully. If cannot manually build on build agent machine,
please resolve this manually build issue first.

  • Customised Datasource not able to find in Sourcce System

    Hi Bob
I have assigned InfoSource to all dataSource masterdata objects (SAP defined)
Now I need to assign few customised msterdata objects,
While assigning i am not able to find datasource in source system.
    For Eg:
    ZI_OPGRP_TEXT                  operating group text
    ZI_BUSUNT_TEXT                 Business Unit Text
    ZEMPLOYEE_9005_ATTR            Legacy Sales Organizational
    ZEMPLOYEE_9000_ATTR            Legacy Organizational Structure
    Thanks
    Kiran

    Hi
    Customized datasource which were missing:
    ZJOB_ATTR  ,ZI_OPGRP_TEXT ,ZI_BUSUNT_TEXT ,ZEMPLOYEE_9005_ATTR,ZEMPLOYEE_9000_ATTR
As you said i checked in RSA6, Customized Datasource are available, then I came to BW side and replicated Datasource, Now I am able to find below and assigned to infpsource:
    ZI_BUSUNT_TEXT  ,ZI_OPGRP_TEXT
But I did not find rest of the datasources which i have mentioned above. When I look for these datasources in R/3 system.
Under Modelling > Source system>right click on source system> Display datasource tree> There I am able to find missing datasources, But when I goto Infosource under modelling and try to assign to datasource, I dont find them there.
Please tell me what is the resolution for this.

    </ejb-local-ref>
What can I be doing wrong?
    /Peter

    Gunnar,
There are a few mistakes in the tutorial that will
be fixed for the upcoming SP2 release. As far as the tutorial code
itself goes I've reproduced this problem by following the tutorial
exactly as its stated and there's a couple of things that can be
what's causing all the problems for you and others.
The easiest solution is to use the supplied MusicBean source that's
supplied with the tutorial. That bean code is correct and functional.
The tutorial is missing some of the steps required to reproduce that
    exact bean code.
I'll cover all the errors I found. One of these is quite possibly what's
    tripping you and others up.
    1) The getBands() and addBand() method should be made to be local
    methods instead of remote methods.
So in step 4 after you've created these methods change the interface
    exposure
to be local either directly in the source by changing the tag, or in the
    design view
by right clicking the method and selecting "local". This will show the
    methods
with a yellow diamond next to them in the design view.
You also need to enable local interfaces as well as update the local
    interface and local home interface.
    To do this:
    1) switch to the design view
    2) click on the EJB
    3) find the "naming" node in the property editor and uncheck "Remote EJB"
    4) check the "Local EJB" checkbox which will then enable the fields for
the local and local home interfaces
    5) enter the value of local interface to be: "Music"
    6) enter the value of local home interface to be: "MusicHome"
    2) The setup datasource step is incorrect in the tutorial.
The entity beans that are imported use a datasource called
    "examples-dataSource-demoPool".
This datasource doesn't exist in the default workshop domain so in this step
    the user
is to create the missing datasource. So going to the datasource viewer and
    choosing "add datasource"
and pasting in the above name will create the datasource that's needed for
    the entity beans.
    3) In the source code listing for MusicBean there's missing imports for:
    javax.naming.InitialContext
    javax.naming.NamingException
    4) the ejb-local-ref XML has one problem, possibly two:
    1) The case is incorrect for the EJB ref name. The tutorial has it as:
    ejb/MusicLink
but addBand.jsp refers to it as ejb/musicLink. So either change the
jsp file or the ejb-ref-name so
    that the two match.
    2) The placement of the <ejb-local-ref> XML may be in the wrong spot.
    This element must
appear at the bottom of web.xml. i.e.
    <webapp>
    <ejb-local-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb/musicLink</ejb-ref-name>
    <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
    <local-home>examples.ejb20.relationships.bands.MusicHome</local-home>
    <local>examples.ejb20.relationships.bands.Music</local>
    <ejb-link>BandsExampleEJB.jar#Music</ejb-link>
    </ejb-local-ref>
    </web-app>
    5) and finally ensure that your application's build order is correct. Make
    sure that the EJB
project builds before the web project.
This can be verified by selecting the menu "tools->application properties"
    and then
clicking on the "build" node to get the build order.
All of these mistakes will be fixed for the SP02 release. Hopefully one of
    these solutions fixes
    the problems you're experiencing.

The link names etc are correct, however, nothing is/has been deployed

    Michael Kovacs <[email protected]> wrote:
    Hi Peter,
    A couple of things...
Ensure that your EJBs are deployed to the server properly. It
seems from your error that they might very well already be
deployed successfully, but that's just a guess. To verify this you
can have a look at the WebLogic admin console and see that your
beans have been deployed to the server by looking at your
    application.
    Assuming your beans are deployed....
Ensure that the reference to the EJB ref is using the exact
name of the ejb-ref-name. The name is case sensitive.
So when you do your lookup of the bean in your JSP
ensure that the "ejb/MusicLink" from the <ejb-ref-name>
    matches exactly. i.e.
    Object obj = ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/MusicLink");
Also, make sure that the <ejb-link> is correct.
The format for the link name is:
    EJBprojectname.jar#EJBName
So for your example, make sure that "BandsExampleEJB"
is the name of your EJB project or correct that value in the
link name, and that your Bean's EJB name is "Music".
Let me know if this helps.

After talking with other senior team members, decided to undeploy the app and planned to install/deploy again. So, we managed to delete the deployed app and started installing the war file again and it wouldn't install. Getting the error message "error opening zip file" and it was pointing to a staging directory from the previous install. Not sure what are all the directories that need to be cleaned up for a clean uninstall of the deployment. Changing the name of the app from Eapp to eapp resolved our issue(just to trick WL to think it's a new app), but we are trying to find what are all the other places in the server that may have the cache of the previously installed app.
    Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks

    Hi Samy
    1. Stop the server if it is running. First take a backup copy of config.xml file located at your domainrootfolder/config folder. Then open this config.xml file in any text editor. Carefully search for your war name that was deployed earlier. Hopefully it should not be there, since you deleted from console. But search for it. The structure will be something like shown below between 2 tags named <app-deployment>. Very carefully delete this full section. Basically any deployment from console will have an entry in config.xml file like this. So delete this entry.
    <app-deployment>
    <name>/myWeb</name>
    <target>AdminServer</target>
    <module-type>war</module-type>
    <source-path>some full folder path...\myWeb.war</source-path>
    <security-dd-model>DDOnly</security-dd-model>
    </app-deployment>
    2. Now from the same domain root folder/Servers/AdminServer delete the folders named "cache", "tmp", "logs". Incase if your admin server name is something else, look for these folders under that folder. So the structure is like yourdomain/servers/youradminserver/. Incase of cluster, you will see those servers also. Delete these files from those folders also. Basically these are like cached folders for the stuff that is deployed. It is good practice to delete these folders everytime you do a new redeployment to clear the old cache for safe side.
    3. Now start the Server. Go to console. Check if your missing datasource/connection pool is working fine and is targetted to admin server. Then deploy your WAR file.
