Missing "Decoder" tab from AudioHQ pa

Dear all X-fi users?I am happy to get my X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatalty Pro Series from my local store yesterday. I did full CD installation and updated to lastest drivers "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic, Platinum, Fatalty and Elite Pro?Driver with?OpenAL support?2.09.0007 ".
I found the "Decoder" tab is missing from my AudioHQ panel, and I asked my friend who have the "Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatalty" to compare to his AudioHQ, he has the "Decoder" tab from it. The new models (XtremeAudio XtremeGamer and XG Fatalty) don't include built-in DD/DTS/MLP decoders, instead they let you download an OEM version of PowerDVD. Bad move IMO since you get OEM DVD soft with motherboards or?videocards and the built-in decoder can be used with any player capable of SPDIF output.

Audigy 2 AudioHQ missing decoder tab for SPDIF passthro

I have an Audigy 2 card and am using the latest drivers and mediasource software. I have my SPDIF connection connected to the Sound Blaster Digital I/O module which has a digital out connection that goes to my home theater receiver.
I would like to do SPDIF passthrough, but when I open the AudioHQ software and go to device controls, I do not see a decoder tab. Is there a way I can get that tab to reappear? Why am I missing it's Is there a workaround for this? Thanks!

You should see a SB#### or CT#### (#=number) printed white on the card and that's the general model number. To be even more specific, the actual model number is made up of the first two digits of the white number on the front and the first two digits of the black revision number stamped on the back of the card

X-Fi: Decoder tab miss

I'm using the "2) Decode the AC3/DTS with your Sound Blaster" option from the stickied Digital Connections... thread. The thing is, I don't get any sound although I've set it to do so within PowerDVD (SPDIF out as suggested in the thread above).
After doing some searching I found out that I need to disable SPDIF pass-through in the decoder tab. The thing is, my console doesn't have a decoder tab! I bought an expensi've Fatalty card so I don't have to worry about these kinds of things - I guess I was wrong and was reminded why I haven't used Creative products for years. Should I return the card or is there a way to get the decoder tab visible. (I tried the Dell work-around but it requires Vista.)

Hello every one, I am new to this forum.
I bought Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer sound card last year in August month. I just want to know whether this card does contain in-built decoder or not. Because I dont see any decoder tab in my creative console. I have searched maximum to find out the right answer but I didnt find correct answer to my doubt. I have installed the drivers came with the card. I didnt update the drivers. I am using windows xp sp3. In the forums I have read that driver update will fix this issue(DD and DTS deocoder tab will appear in the console). If so please guide me which drivers will fix or the updated drivers available on the site will fix the issue.

I am missing the X from the tabs to close them. Currently the only way to close them for me is by clicking the scroll wheel, or right clicking and closing. I am currently using default BETA (RC now) theme and have minimal plugins.
This has been happening ever since BETA 9, and although I submitted a bug report, a single report I doubt gets noticed.

In your "More system details" link, it shows that a preference "browser.tabs.closeButtons" is set to 33, this is causing your problem and you need to reset it to the default value.

Xfi decode tab missing - spdif soun

ok, i've spent about 5 hours going through these forums.
I have the retail version of the Xfi Xtremegamer that states I can have dolby/dts sound through powerdvd download. I have this connected to a p7800 inspire 7. speaker set.
How do I get dolby / dts sound for my movies? I have downloaded powerdvd - and I have tried to follow all the steps in the sticky post:
"Digital Connections, SPDIF and Dolby Digital Info" step 2) Decode the AC3/DTS with your Sound Blaster. or 3) Decode the AC3/DTS with software.
In powerdvd / configuration / audio tab, I have selected "use spdif". On the audio console / spdif I/O tab, the SPDIF Input Settings are greyed out, and there is NO decoder tab.
I am tesing with the dvd "The Core" with 5. dolby sound selected. On first attempt to play, I just get loud clicking sounds. If I stop the movie and then play again, the second attempt will load the onscreen display of the dolby digital bitstream logo, but there is no sound.
I've also tried AC3filter with both media player classic and zoom player.
how do i get this working? And how do i know if sound is playing in dolby or dts?

Server 2008 Policy, hide Security Tab from Non-Administrators

I got asked to use the policy to hide the Security tab on folder for non-administrator, administrators need to see it to adjust folder auditing.

Missing: Search Tab

I'm trying to output a project into a CHM file using RoboHelp 8, and the resulting output completely lacks a Search tab. It's got a Contents tab, an Index tab, and that's it. (The project doesn't have a glossary, so the lack of glossary is no big surprise.) I searched through the forums, and the closest problems I saw were from people whose search tabs "didn't work." However, the fix in that situation (re-registering some DLL files), didn't work for me. I'm hoping someone out there has some insight into how to find a missing search tab. Thanks!

Sorry, but I'm unfamiliar with Frame at this stage of the game. I think the placeholders come into play here. So you may need to experiment with inserting those.
When you create output from RoboHelp, you are able to choose the specific Index you wish to include in the output. Have you ensured you have done this? Additionally, I do believe that for a merged CHM setup a couple of things have to be in place for the index to show.
The master project has to have at lest one keyword defined and mapped to a topic
The index must be configured as Binary
To add a keyword to the master you will need to display the Index Designer pod. Unfortunately it's not straightforward. You do it by expanding the Index pseudo-folder in the Project Manager pod. Then double-click the index listed.
Now you add a term to the index.
From here you ensure Binary is enabled. Click File > Project Settings...
Then when you generate output, ensure you are pointing at the right index.

Can't find the 'decoder' tabe in audio console wind

I just bought a x-fi fatalty. All drivers was installed.
However when I tried to set the spdif passthru to an external AV amp, I can't find the decoder tab in the audio console windows as shown in below screen capture I found on the web.

Hi adrianmak?If you use spdif don?t need X-Fi decoder, when use spdif you send signal to a external decoder. Digital Connections, SPDIF and Dolby Digital Info[/b] ?Movies wth Dolby Digital (AC3) & DTSMovies on DVD often use encoded?audio in the form of Dolby Digital (AC3) or DTS. This means that all 6 channels are compressed into a single stream of digital data. A decoder is required to extract the channels and send the sound to the correct speakers. There are three ways to do this.
) Pass the AC3/DTS signal to a external decoder. This is where your optical/coax connection is used. To?go down this route, you must first have a?set of speakers or a decoder that?supports Dolby Digital.
In your DVD software, select 'SPDIF' as the audio output method and 'SPDIF Pass-through' in?your?soundcard options. What this does is?tells both the software and soundcard to leave the audio from the DVD in compressed form and send it straight through the digital outputs. Your?digital speakers/receiver will do all the decoding to give you full surround sound.
Please note that this?is the only way to get 6 channels through an optical/coax cable.
2) Decode the AC3/DTS with your Sound Blaster.?You should choose this option if?you don't have an external decoder. In the DVD software, select 'SPDIF' as the audio output method and make sure that 'SPDIF Pass-through' in the souncard options is?off. The DVD software will now pass the compressed audio to your soundcard, which will then decode the data. The soundcard will output the 6 channels using the?analogue connections (or digital DIN, more on this later). If you try?to use a digital optical/coax connection to your speakers, you will only hear faint sounds from the front left/right speakers.
3) Decode the AC3/DTS with software.?If you have a soundcard that doesn't support Dolby Digital (like the SB Li've! 24-bit) and you don't have digital speakers, the only way for you to get surround sound in movies is to use software to decode the AC3/DTS. The free versions of DVD software you get with hardware often don't support this feature,? you will most likely need a full version. First select 'Dolby Digital' or 'DTS' decoding in the DVD software audio options (you must select the right?sound format for the movie you are watching). Then make sure that 'SPDIF Pass-through' in the soundcard options is off. Saving tabs from session to session

I must be missing something but how do I save the tabs from Safari session to session like Firefox does?

The shareware Safari Extender will allow you, among many other things, to save and load tab sets.

Hi Cat,?Firstly, I apologise for directing this message to you in person but have always found your input helpful. You stated in your reply in this thread that the Elite Pro has the "decoder" tab. Are you therefore not aware that this was the case prior to the latest Windows Update of the Creative Audio driver, as this functionality has now vanished!?I have two PCs each fitted with Creative X-Fi Elite Pro units i.e. both the high spec. Cards and Consoles and both had the decoder tab until recently. However, following a driver update under the Windows Update function, this facility has gone. I have checked other threads and all seem to indicate that this driver is the cause. However, CL Tech support insist I "move the card to another PCI slot." This is clearly a waste of time. Each Elite Pro system has worked fine since installation and both have "just" lost this functionality following the update. Still your Tech Support people still insist I should move the cards. Can you set the record straight and confirm or deny that the driver supplied via the Microsoft Update site has or doesn't have this functionality. Also can you tell me what is the latest driver (with this functionality) that can be loaded on an SB X-Fi Elite Pro DR Release 2.0.0. Lastly, where can I download this driver from?Sorry to be a pain but CL Tech Support need to get away from their use of what appears to be a "Standard Dialogue" irrespecti've of what the actual problem is.

Missing Excel tabs

Hi Experts ,
-I have Open two excel files using office 2007 without logging on to BPC.
-Open One excel file should be a big file with multi tabs and another one
can be a small file with one tab
- From the big excel file, click on Planning & Consolidation & Click on
Log on
- Once the system log on to BPC, all the tabs/sheets in the big excel
file file is removed/deleted except the first tab.
The issue occurs in both versions 7.0 SP04 & 7.5 Sp04

To use Excel interface, login through Admin conslole only. Login through Excel files dirctly will not give any use as the data in excel files cannot be interlinked to BPC for futher data manipulation in BPC, except to use as outside excel files in your Desktop.
If you try to login through one of excel files after opening the two excel files and minimze, the image of data-tab of latest opened excel file which is minimsed already, will be overlapped on the present.
Still if you continue the login process into BPC, you can see these two excel files through Arrange All Option on a single screen, it will give all data in All tabs, without any deletion/missing. Please try this once.

Every time I launch Firefox 4 it opens 3 or 4 blank windows, no longer opens the tabs from the previous session and does not show my bookmarks sidebar.

I have to manually close the extra windows and restore the tabs from the previous session, and reopen the sidebar. In disgust I uninstalled Firefox 4 and reinstalled 3.6. Everything works fine in 3.6. Looks to me like Firefox 4 has many major bugs and is not yet ready for prime time. I'll stay with 3.6 for now.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
You will have to redo App Tabs and Tab Groups after deleting sessionstore.js.

I want to have all my tabs return after closing. In Tools/Options/General/ I have' Show my Windows and Tabs from last time' checked, but it does not work. When I open FF again none of my formerly open Tabs show... FF v.4.

"show my windows and tabs from last time" does not work after upgrade to 8.01

After I upgraded to the latest v8.01 I have lost all my tabbed sites and even when trying to add them and save them with the Tools>Options>General>Start up>when Firefox starts selected feature "show my windows and tabs from last time" it does not hold the saved sites and when browser is restarted it always loses all the tabs and only shows one tab with Firefox home webpage. I need to have several sites open to work and the only way to do that now is to make sure I click the "Use current pages" under General Option in Tools. It is getting very annoying because I keep changing my tabs to different websites during a session and I am used to just closing the browser, relying on having them all back in when restarting Firefox.

Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the <i>Browsing History</i> when you close Firefox.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

User with administrators rights cannot change printer properties on "Advanced" tab from "Devices and Printers" on Windows Server 2012 R2.
If to launch "Devices and Printers" on server, all printer properties on "Advanced" tab are inactive (see screen below).
But I can change it manually with "Print Management". Features become active.
The main purpose - to uncheck "Enable advanced printing features" with powershell
scripts.

I've tried to runs PS Script both locally and remotely, previously running Powershell ISE as Administrator.
I've noticed interesting thing - if to
check "Enable advanced printing features"
manually thru Print Management snap-in, script works fine. But, time to time after some manipulations on print server, this advanced feature returns to enabled state automatically by system, I think. In this case PS Script does not work. Next, if to disable
feature manually again (thru Print Management snap-in),
and enable manually again, PS Script will work. Very strange situation.
