Missing default plug-in?

Hi! For some reason iSync on my Macbook Pro says that my SE K750i is not supported by iSync. but it is on the official list! It suggest to install its plug-in (however, it works fine on my PowerMac G5).
it would be great if someone knew the answer..

There is some confusion here as to what platform you are operating. Your first message indicated that it was MacBook Pro, but this indicates nothing.
Julian quite rightly pointed you to a Combo updater—and had originally noted that you had to apply a Combo updater in his first response—but the link just above points to the PowerPC package, and not the intel.
If you are updating iSync for an intel platform, you must use this specific Combo update package instead:

I was trying to view a video while in Facebook and this message appeared under the video run arrow: missing Internet plug-in" I'm using safari on OS 10.6.7 on an iMac. Went to the extensions gallery, but don't need anything there. Went to Safari-Preferences-Extensions and have no clue where to go next. Online searching for "correct" terminology yielded results that still don't answer my question. Are all extensions really plug-ins or are they two distinct categories of browser enhancements?

I found the list of installed Plug-ins, but although it shows a list including Quick-Time Plug-ins that includes numerous mime video plug-ins, I was still not able to access the video content on Facebook.

Missing PDF plug in when opening a page in Safari

Hello. I am trying to open a webpage in Safari that contains an embedded PDF. I do get a message saying "missing PDF plug-in", but I already have Adobe Acrobat X (Upgraded Version) on the MBP.
I have already set the PDF's to open with Acrobat X. Any ideas?

Thanks John for the suggestion. I was finally able to dwonload the newest drivers today when I signed on. Seems like if you let one day go by Software Update will look at your version of the driver and will finally let you download the newest. That did not help. Nothing but communication errors. It would not even let me load the the new driver as it would no longer ever see the printer.
Yesterday, for further explanation, I was working at the computer when I heard the printer chime a few times. When I looked over the green light, which normally signals it is receiving a file to print, was flashing away. I was doing nothing and I finally had to turn it off. I spoke with another techie friend who is a big Mac user and has the same printer and he suggested it may be the USB circuit. This printer has been on for 5 years with a few days off. We have concluded the circuits are past their useful life and I will soon send the printer to be recycled somewhere. A new printer is on the way as I need this device.
Again, thank you for your suggestion and I will mark this solved due to mechanical failure.

Missing QuickTime Plug-in?

Hi,
I have noticed recently that when ever I play a QuickTime movie in Safari (I can tell when Safari uses the Flip4Mac plug in so whenever it isn't using the Flip4Mac plug in it is sing a QuickTime plug-in... I am assuming...) the video never appears, the audio is fine, but no video. Am I missing some plug-in from QuickTime or what?

webplugin seems to be shorthand for webkit-based-plugin which is a type of plugin useable by only webkit applications, ( like say, Safari & Shira & most Apple apps, but not Camino or Firefox for example..)
Seems the webplugin offers some advantages in ease of programming/implementation, & for webkit apps could replace the standard 'netscape' type xxx.plugin type; but of course other mac browsers require the .plugin one, so sometimes both will be installed & seemingly can cause conflicts.
I have both plugin & webplugin versions of QT now & get no problems, but have previously needed to remove a webplugin to get videos working ( wmv ones using Flip4mac I think )

All plugins are disabled by default. A possible exception can be Flash if it is the latest version as that is a very common plugin).
If you make changes on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" page then a specific pref (plugin.state.<plugin>) setting is created that may survive updates.
You can open the <b>about:config</b> page via the location bar to inspect prefs.

You don't need Flash or any other third-party software to view any content on apple.com.
From the Safari menu bar, select Safari ▹ Preferences… ▹ Security and check the box labeled Enable plug-ins.

For Flash, could you try downloading the "full" installers from this page:

In the first table, there are two rows for Windows: one for the ActiveX control for IE, and one for the plugin for Firefox. You might want to grab both. And try the .msi files instead of the .exe files to see whether those work better.
Will either of those install?
It's odd that on a newly rebuilt system your More System Details shows that you have a user.js file, which is an optional settings files used to override your previous session settings. This is not part of the standard Firefox installation, so if you did not create that file yourself, you may want to investigate or delete it.
