  • Missing radio buttons in Safari 4 / Snow Leopard

    I'm a Moderator/Jr. Admin on a forum and just noticed since upgrading last night to Snow Leopard 10.6.1 that I no longer see radio buttons on my drop down options list (Safari 4.0.3). Screen capture can be seen at: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i152/imacpwr/EFcapture001small.jpg
    There are suppose to be radio buttons to the left of each option but they are missing! I'm seeing this problem only on my Mac Pro. My Mac Book Air has the same version of OS X and Safari but not the problem.
    I thought I'd try and re-install Safari so I downloaded the file and started the install. The installer then informs me that I need OS X 10.5.8 or newer to install.
    Huh ? ? ?
    Anyone got any ideas how to get the radio buttons working again?

    Yes, I saw that on the following thread and can confirm it's true, Zooming (enlarging) the page causes the radio buttons to drop out. Very annoying in my situation since I have 3-23" monitors and regularly use 4 virtual desktops as a forum moderator. I like to enlarge the pages so that I can sit back and clearly read all the monitors at ease.

  • Text direction button in indesign 6 seems to be missing

    Have been googling how to use arabic text in InDesign 6.
    I need to create a brochure with text in both Arabic and English.
    Found section on Adobe World-Ready Paragraph composer - but then when going to set the text direction as in the tutorial - the text direction button it shows in the screen shot is not available to me?

  • Right to Left glitch in illustrator CS6, CC2014 and NO Text direction button.

    On a MAC OSX machine and in my laptop (Windows 8 (64 bit) I am having issues with Illustrator CS6. The  Text direction button that is supposed to be in the Paragraphs palette is missing. Is there something special I have to download in order to get it or something?
    Thanks.

    I am now thinking it might be a license thing, but I would like someone from Adobe to confirm this (and possible explain why this is). I am a student, and I use the student license, furthermore the Windows 7 PC I was using was a school computer which is using an educational liscense(all of the computers at school which use and Educational Volumne License are missing this Text Direction button). However another student has the full version and has the Text direction, and when he makes files and brings them school, sometimes his files gives an error when he opens it and it says this photohosp file was made with a different text engine, and then procedes to get stuck in RTL. He has Windows 8 PC and the full version of PS CS6, that is the only reason I think of that is different.

  • Right to Left glitch in Photoshop CS6, and NO Text direction button.

    On a windows 7 machine I am having issues with Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 x64 Extended writing in the wrong direction, its goinf RTL instead of LTR. And the Text direction button that is suppsed to be in the Paragraphs palette is missing. I deleted preferences twice and that didnt change anything. I switched back and forth between Midles Eastern and East Asian, and that did nothing as well. I look at my laptop MBP (MAC OS X 10.6), which has PS CS6 Extended 13.0.5 x64, and I dont have the problem with it being locked in RTL, however, my laptop doesnt have the text direction button either, and doing the previous methods did not give me that option. Is there something special I have to download in order to get it or something?
    Here is what the button looks like:
    Here is what I have:
    Just so you know I hav read this thread, and tried all of the Methods and NONE of them worked for EITHER Operating System.
    Also here is a Video for Windows 7 and a video for MAC OS X and the do opposite methods switching to either to East Asian or Middle East(both videos do the oppposite).

  • My icons are missing from finder and Safari.

    Not sure what I have done. My icons are missing from finder and Safari, tired the customise tool bar option with no joy,   please help.

    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Click a button in Safari

    I want to locate a button on a web page and click it. That's it. Sounds easy but I don't how to locate the button.
    I can't link to the web page because you need to be a member to view it. I also want to learn from this so I can locate a button on a different page in the future.
    I tried UI Element inspector but didn't see the info for the button when I hovered over it. Well it gave me info I'm not sure what I'm looking for though.
    I found the name of the button in the source for the page if there is a way to take that rout.
    Thanks

    Safari button are notoriously hard to pin down. Get UIElement Inspector active and while hovering above the button in question press Cmd-F10. This will freeze the Inspector window. Then post the lines from the Inspector window up to 'Attributes:'. They should look similar to this:
    <AXApplication: “Safari”>
    <AXWindow: “Apple - Support - Discussions - Click a button in Safari ...”>
    <AXGroup>
    <AXScrollArea>
    <AXWebArea: “”>
    <AXGroup: “”>
    <AXLink: “Point your RSS reader here for a feed of the latest messages in this topic”>
    I should then be able to give you a starting point for AppleScript.

  • How do I find the install button in safari on my Iphone 1?

    I need to install data settings on my Iphone1 for straighttalk.com

    There is no "install" button in Safari.

  • I somehow deleted my "back" button in Safari. How do I get it back?

    Two issues: 1st: I want to know how to take a snapshot of something on my desktop.
    2nd: In trying to remember how to take a snapshot I was just pushing buttons, willy-nilly, and somehow deleted my "back" button in Safari.  How do I get that back?

    It's not on my keyboard (that I know of).  It's an arrow on the bar at the top of my safari screen.  I'm supposed to be able to click the arrow to either go back to the previous page or go forward to the next page.  But I deleted it somehow.  And now I don't know how to get it back.  I found a solution in someone else's post: Safari, View, Customize Tool Bar.  I tried to do that but it doesn't work for me.  I dragged the back arrows to my tool bar but they won't stay up there. What do I do now?

    Why isn't my back button in Safari not working? I am constantly resetting Safari.

    Cheryl...
    Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
    Move the Cache.db (or ApplicationCache.db) file from the com.apple. Safari folder to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac. Launch Safari. Try the back button.
    ~ (Tilde) character represents the Home folder.

  • How to control what VoiceOver says when clicking a radio button in Safari?

    Hello-
    I am developing a web page that I want to work in Safari & VoiceOver. Does anyone know how I can:
    1) control what VO says when it is hovering over a radio button (ideally some alt text or title attribute)
    2) control what VO says when I click a radio button in Safari (right now, it seems to say 'Group').
    I have tried to put the radio buttons in a fieldset, tried tons of attributes in the input tag (including alt, title, desc, description), but nothing seems to change.
    Here is a URL where you can hear what I'm talking about: http://postcalc.usps.gov/
    Turn on VoiceOver (try Cmd+F5), pull up the URL and hover over the 'letter' or 'large envelope' radio buttons, then click one of them. It says 'group'. I'd like it to say 'letter option selected' or something.
    Thanks for any & all help!
    Seth
    PS: I do know about the <label> tag. I've tried surrounding my <input> tag with a label and using <label for="someID">, but it doesn't seem to help.

    Thank you for the suggestion...it does work and fires the event, but it is still not selecting the current record when I try to perform an Update or Delete.
    I had to modify your code a bit in order for it work in JDev 10...used the JUCtrlValueBindingRef instead of the FacesCtrlHierNodeBinding.
    Here is what my af:table tag looks like:
    <af:table value="#{bindings.FeesView1.collectionModel}"
    var="row" rows="#{bindings.Fees001View1.rangeSize}"
    first="#{bindings.FeesView1.rangeStart}"
    emptyText="#{bindings.FeesView1.viewable ? \'No rows yet.\' : \'Access Denied.\'}"
    selectionListener="#{backing_viewFees.tableSelectOne1_attributeChangeListener}"
    binding="#{backing_viewFees.table1}" id="table1">
    If I put back my 2 original attributes, then my Delete and Updates work.
    selectionState="#{bindings.FeesView1.collectionModel.selectedRow}"
    selectionListener="#{bindings.FeesView1.collectionModel.makeCurrent}"
    Here is my code in the backing bean:
    public void tableSelectOne1_attributeChangeListener(SelectionEvent selectionEvent) {
    JUCtrlValueBindingRef binding = (JUCtrlValueBindingRef)this.getTable1().getSelectedRowData();
    if (binding != null) {
    Row currentRow = binding.getRow();
    if (currentRow != null) {
    System.out.println(currentRow.getAttribute("CurrentRecordInd")); // this does print my selected value!!!!
    }

  • Toolbar control button in Safari

    Hi !
    Is it possible to "insert" the *Toolbar control button* in the upper-right corner of a Safari window ?
    Do you know the reason why there is no this button in Safari ?
    Regards

    Welcome to the forums!
    Not sure what you mean by a 'Toolbar control button'.
    Most commands, like customizing or hiding the Toolbar, are in the View menu of Safari.
