Missing "Discussion" link at bottom of thread

The Jump to top of thread link below the last post in a thread is OK, but it really should be a repeat of the breadcrumb links at the top of the discussion pane, as it was in the old version of the forums. One click and I was back at the discussion summary, rather than the click, scroll, click action required now.

Back to Discussion Link at bottom of thread page.

At the bottom of a thread page there's a link to reply to original post or go to original post. I would like to see a back to discussion option. On loads of forums you have a jump to board selection as well. I don't really find Adobe Forums particularly easy to navigate around generally.

Forum discussions link broken??

If you click on the "support" and then "discussions" link at the top of the home screen, you get this:
We're sorry, Apple Discussions are temporarily unavailable. The system should be back on-line soon
However, if you are able to link into the discussion forums (which do seem to be available) by cut/pasting a link from an E-mail notification.

I think there was an issue with being unable to login to reply.
Considering how often in the last two days Discussions will not open; time out; and/or are more sluggish than ever, and the only place where I ever see "unavailable" is from the main page, not sub-Discussion (like Mac Pro)...
I don't see how someone would know if "local" was all of the USA or a forum, but it is only Apple Discussions.... all other web sites, Apple Store, are fine.
I did run try one link that led to "being upgraded" (http://docs.info.apple.com/)
Seems like the servers need a reboot and rebuild of the indexes - or throw more hardware at the problem... I just gave up idea of ever accessing any Discussion area yesterday. Even when I could read a discussion thread, I could NOT login, could not reply, not in any web browser - OmniWeb, Shiira, Firefox.... (and only when those don't work do I ever bother trying to use Safari).
I even tried from a good backup system.
When our 3270 'dumb terminals' would get to a 20 second delay for remote users, they would just hit enter, then go do something productive... total nightmare at that speed to get anything accomplished.

How do I send a URL link of my own Threads?

Q1). how do I capture a link of all the THREADS relating to a question which I had asked? I need to emil this link to someone. I tried copying the URL of the webpage with the Threads, but when i open it in a new webpage, i see the general page showing questions from all users.
Q2). We now have this new rule of max 10 open Questions. Where do I see my open questions & how am I supposed to close my "open Questions"?

Hi,
For your first question, choose the thread , right click, we have option like " copy short cut " , then paste .
For second question , after logging into sdn with userid, if click on forums, in that screen, top right hand side , your questions link is there. click that link, it will show what ever the threads posted .

As long as you have a form of payment (credit or debit card) with a USA source, and with a billing address in the USA, then you just need to change your payment information on your account to that, change your country in the store settings, and you will then be able to shop in the USA store.
Your AppleID will work in any country's store, as long as your payment source and billing addres are also specific to that country (and you are in that country as well, as there may be IP filters in place to stop use outside of the country).

Ken,
kenak99709 is the Alias of the Discussions account that you are currently posting with.
If you had to have created a new account, you would not have been able to choose that Alias, as Discussions will only allow one member to have a unique Alias.
Either I am not understanding your dilemma, or possibly you have not explained the situation in full.

Missing Internal Linked Story (CS6)

Hello all!
I have just opened a document in InDesign CS6 which I created myself a few days back. I copied and pasted text from Microsoft Word to Notepad and then into InDesign (I probably didn't need to do the Notepad step but just in case).
The text is divided in small boxes so just importin the Word Document wouldn't have worked for me in this case.
Regardless, now that I have opened this file again, I get some weird link error where it says I am missing story links in each box. Here is the screenshot.
The text is still present and editable and acts just as any text, which is what I expect it to do. However I don't understand the issue with the missing linked story, especially since I didn't even import anything: I copied and pasted the text.
I have no idea of how to solve this, in practice it doesn't affect the document and I can export the file with no issues, but I still would like to know what InDesign is on about.

Edit: Oh nevermind the screenshot didn't load for some reason. It's turned off already. But maybe for some reason it was on when I first made the file *shrug* Although I didn't touch that option at all.
Also if you read that option carefully it says "When placing", and I didn't place anything, I copied and pasted.

I guess it's a bug rather than something solvable by logic.

Random Missing/Modified Links

For the past couple of days I have been experiencing random missing/modified links showing up in preflight.
I am using CS4 on Windows 7... all of the graphics are stored on a shared network, but no one was using them when the issues started.
When I see the missing/modified links error, I relink them and go back to editing the document... within 15-20 min they are back. Until this afternoon, I go to relink them... and they fix themselves *scratches head*
Any ideas what could cause this type of behavior?

I changed something in CSS and now the footer links are wrapping. Previously, the links were at right/bottom of each page. When the browser window was made too narrow to display them, they would disappear along with the righthand side of the page. Now they wrap into multiple lines and expand out of the footer.

Link for My earlier Threads lost

Hi all
I am member since last 18 months. I had posted few threads and various threads were visible in my Control Panel.
They were very helpful to trace the pas questions.
Today , to my surprise links to my earlier threads is not visible and neither I find Next -Previous links etc. to move to my own threads.
Kindly guide as to what problem might be there.

Control Panel shows link to "Your Questions"
Logically it should show all the Threads posted by the given user as it was in earlier interface.
It shows just 2-3 last posted threads and any link to next next is not visible which creates the confusions and we just lost complete track for our own earlier threads.
If we knew this behaviour earlier, we would have saved the copy at our own end.

Release 4.2 - Application Builder - Missing links at bottom of the screen

In 4.1 (and all releases before) when run an application you could see links at the bottom of the screen for development activities e.g. home, edit page, session, etc
In release 4.2 I can no know longer see these links.
Is there away to "Switch on" these links?

Having got the right name for the problems I had a look through the forum, blogs, etc.

Missing image links NOT alerted, and not in Links panel

Don't know if this is a consequence of shifting my files and account across to a new Mac Pro, and re-configuring hard drive locations where linked image files are, but... I'm working on a document that spanned systems - finally coming to completion, and I'm writing the print PDF and found this problem.
InDesign CC 9.2.1 running on Mavericks 10.9.2 is NOT indicating missing links images in the Links panel. In fact it's not indicating the image on the page is even in the document - it doesn't appear in the Links panel, even though I see the image on the page.
I noticed this when proof checking a high res print PDF, and the image looked low-res. Odd as it shouldn't be. Went back to InDesign file to interrogate the image, and found when I clicked on it, it wasn't highlighted in the Links panel - where I have the Warnings, dpi and other columns active so I can quickly check problems. It wasn't there at all. InDesign seems to be blind to the image. When I right click the rogue images on the page I don't get the 'Graphics' section at the bottom of the drop down menu as I do with ok images. I guess because InDesign doesn't even know it's there?
Basically the image is visibly on the page, but InDesign doesn't appear to know about it..... What gives? I'm having to go through a long document now clicking on each image to check it's showing in the Links panel, then relinking every image that appears to be completely lost as far as InDesign is concerned not even knowing it's there.
I have "Reset All Warning Dialogues". Made no difference.
I worry about what other files are going to do this to me now and how much time will be wasted carefully checking validity of every image.

Thanks Peter, maybe that's it although I don't recall using that method of putting the image in the layout. It's not something I would normally do. Its some months ago mind you, and the client did send me a bunch of images to consider using so I may have just dragged their images into my early layout while scamping up the first draft, and it may be these images that have been 'lost' by I.D.
I normally create an image frame into which, using Edit - Place, select the image from a folder on the drive.
Sometimes (because the preview of images in the ID Place dialogue is so slow to build) I view images in a Finder window and select from there, drag-and-drop into a pre-sized Image frame in I.D.
I may have dragged an image direct from the Finder into Indesign not first creating an image frame for it to be placed into. But I thought I.D. would still note it as a Link asset, else why allow images of any kind into the layout if Links doesn't keep track of them for pre-press proofing use etc.
The (in the end just 4) images that were completely unknown to InDesign were all in image frames, scaled and cropped within the frame bounds. So I wasn't to know months later that I may have drag-dropped the image files uncropped etc into ID then subsequently cropped them (if indeed I had).
If you're suggesting this method of adding images quickly into I.D. won't list them in the Links panel, then I will make a conscious effort never to use that quick method again!

Missing Table Link CE4E003_ACCT to COEP to CE4E003

Hi folks! I am having a difficulty in table mappings.. i need to link the 4 tables to extract some data. First, I selected the Profitability Segment No. from table CE4E003_ACCT to link with COEP, then the last 10 digit of Object Number on COEP will be the link to table CE4E003 and that 10 digit will be the Profitability Segment Number of table CE4E003... here's the missing link... i need to link with table COEJ using the Profitability Segment Number I retrieve from table CE4E003 but the problem is the Profitability Segment Number in table COEJ is not being populated.. and the Object Number is the field that is being populated... Is there any table that also have fields with Profitability Segment Number with its corresponding object number so that using that Object Number I can link it with table COEJ..? thanks a lot...

I am trying to compile a project that uses inflateInit, deflateInit, inflate, deflate, inflateEnd, deflateEnd, which are all from zlib.h... i know i am getting a linking error and it cannot find the implementation of these files. i have included libz.1.1.3.dylib within my project, i have tried including libz.dylib, i have also tried to put the
