  • OEM Grid Control Release (not just agent) for Solaris x86?

I see management agents that can be downloaded off of OTN, but is there an official release of Grid Control for Solaris on x86?
"Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control *Release 5* (10.2.0.5) for Solaris Operating System *(SPARC)*"
"Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control *Management Agent Release 1* (10.1.0.3) for Solaris *x86*"

Please throw me some more meat on that bone. I'm still waiting for my Metalink access. (i.e., can you cut and paste the note text onto this forum message.)Sharing(Cut&Paste) Metalink Notes is not legal.
Oracle has no plans for 10.2.0.4 and for 10.2.0.5 it's expected by Q3 on x86(32&64)

Is there a date that the above would be available? I do see that it is ready for Windows, Linux, Solaris, HP_Itanium but not HP_UX PA_RISC. Any ideas?

  • Download problem with EM 11g Grid Control Release 1 (11.1.0.1.0)

    Hi all,
I have problem with Enterprise Manager 11g Grid Control Release 1 (11.1.0.1.0) for Linux x86-64 (64-bit) downloaded archives.
    Actually with GridControl_11.1.0.1.0_Linux_x86-64_2of3.zip (1,589,671,704 bytes) (cksum - 535544209)
I successfully downloaded all archives but cksum for this file (...2of3...) is invalid.
Even it is invalid I tried to install. Installation starts ok, but it breaks after few moments.
    Regards

Here is cksum from file that I downloaded 3966614633 and on download page is 535544209.
It's obvious that something is wrong!
Oracle personal should fix this issue.
Anyhow, there is another way... Download from different location. See this thread:

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Release 5

    Hi All,
Has anyone here already using Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Release 5? Currently we are using Release 2 of Oracle Enterprise Manager as a package upon installation of Oracle 10g. Curious about Release 5 I want to try it out in our Dev Environment. But before making any changes. I would like to ask guidance from you.
Upon installation does it needs Operating System Patches, Packages etc.? Currently we are using AIX 5L Based Systems (64-Bit) and 10g for Database. Is this a complete installation or Just an upgrade?

  • OEM Grid Control Release 10.2.0.2.0

We just upgraded to Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Release 10.2.0.2.0, and I'm having trouble seeing entire SQL statements. Before when I investigated top SQL I could see the entire thing. Now, it shows the first 200 or so characters.
Has someone found a way to see the entire SQL statement again? OEM does supply the SQL ID. Do I just need to start querying v$sql? That table restricts the SQL statement to VARCHAR2(1000), and so I'm wondering how we capture strings that are longer? Either we've never had any which exceed 1000 characters, or OEM is pulling the SQL stmt from somewhere else.
    -Chuck

I am going by memory - I don't have access to OEM right now.
But on the individual SQL screen that shows the snippet of the SQL on the upper left is a blue triangle with a plus sign in it. Clicking that will show the entire SQL.
The HASHVALUE is shown at the very top of the screen.
You can look at V$SQL_TEXT to get the entire SQL.
    SELECT * FROM V$SQLTEXT
    WHERE HASH_VALUE=&HASHVALUE
    ORDER BY PIECE;

  • Installing EM10G grid control

    Hi everybody;
I'm working with Oracle 10g rac with asm. I'm using OEM to manage my DBs. However, they tell me grid contro is better and has more features.
Since is my first time, what are the steps to install it.
    My OS is AIX 5.3.
In which directory it is located?
Comes with the installation of oracle?
Requirements that have to be installed?
Thanks in advanced for your help.
    Al

You need to download the "Full Installer" OEM GRID Control from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/oem/index.html
and next the "Patch Installer" OEM GC 10.2.05.
Next read the Installation Guide and start moving.

  • Grid Control 10.2.0.5 patchset fails for 11g repository database

Installing GridControl 10.2.0.5 on Windows 2003 Server SP2. Initial install successful of 10.2.0.2 using existing database 11.1.0.7. The database was created new to use for GC. Patchset no problems until Configuration Assitant step "Repository Upgrade" failed with errors:

    oracle.sysman.emcp.oms.OmsPatchUpgrade -configureOms

    oracle.sysman.ccr.configCCR.ConfigRepeaterPlugIn
Tried to find cause of errors and cannot seem to understand why this step failed.
Considering uninstalling GC and Oracle 11g and reinstalling GC with "new database" option.
Anyone successful at installing GC 10.2.0.5 with an 11g database?
    Thank you,

10.2.0.5 Database is in extended support. Make sure to purchase the licensing.
You need to download the software by logging an SR with Oracle support to get delivered as DVD or through e-delivery.
But I would suggest you to upgrade to 11.2.0.3.
Upgrading 10g Grid Control repository database is doing a normal database upgrade.

  • OEM Grid control Release 3

Does anyone know where to download the agent for windows for 10.2.0.3 or better yet where to obtain the one off patch for bug 5587890
None of this is on Metalink.
    I am opeing and SR.
    thanks

It is on metalink - there are 2 patches 5742559 and 5673118. These are early adopter patches and are locked, you need a passord to get to them. I just submited a SR to get access to them.
What does this bug fix? Does not look like a public bug to me.

  • Oracle Grid Control Release 4 ( 10.2.0.4) - release date?

Any of you Oracle insiders have an approximate date?

You may not get "Oracle insiders" responding to postings in this forum officially if you need such information.
So the best thing to do is to open an SR on this kind of question and Oracle support will be the best to give you an official response.
