Missing Drivers for USB Controllers (2), SM Bus Controller, and PCI Device

Just got this laptop from my grandparents, and they whiped the OS off if it and did a reinstall with windows 7 64 bit. When it reinstalled it was missing many of the drives, most of which I've been able to find, but I still have four left that I can't find anywhere. When I looked on hp's site there is no driver that I saw for any of these.

Are you using drivers from your Support page? The AMD graphics driver usually has sm bus and usb drivers. The PCI device is Realtek Card Reader, also in the list. That would have prevented this.

After resetting windows 8.1, I only my ethernet works and I cant turn my wifi. I looked in the device manger, and under "unknown devices" are listed Network Controller and PCI Device with yellow alerts near them. I know that these are related to the wireless card, but everytime I try to update them they say that there is no driver for them.

search your laptop for the Toshiba application installer, open it and use it to install your Wireles lan driver.
The application installer is easier than guessing which one you need from your support page.

You can select the drivers tab then down the page on the left hand side select Windows 8.1 64 bit to narrow down the drivers for your operating system. Then also select Wifi and the available drivers will be displayed.
If you are getting a corrupted system after a reset your hard drive may be failing or your recovery partition may have been corrupted . Create your recovery media if you have not done so already.

Hello i have a hp 3515 mt pc and i have problem installing drivers for usb 3 and sm buss controller and for vga driver.
Where can i find the proper driver for my pc, i have the serial number that does not get recognized on hp suppor website and i don't know what drivers are compatible with my pc.

G62 can't find drivers for USB mouse

For some reason I can't get my wired mouse OP-35D to work with Windows 7. When I plug it in ti the USBslot the PC can identify that its a USB mouse but can't find any drivers. I've downloded drivers from the manufacturers homepage but it's still not working. Tried four different USB mouse both wired and wireless, same result. USB-memorysticks, USB-harddrives are working fine.
Solution anyone?

Open Device manager and Expand USB Controllers, right click on everything labeled as device or hub and select uninstall, do this one at a time. Once this is done restart the notebook.
Do Not uninstall anything labeled Controller.

This will be my first post to the community and looking forward for an expert advise on the issue am facing with Lenovo ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video drivers in Enterprise 64bit running on T440, following are the details:
Environment:
Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit installed on T440 where all drivers are up to date for all devices though (System Update 5) tool.
Requirement: Usage of Lenovo ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video (M01060) which will be connected to .
Steps followed:
Connected to the port replicator before installing the device driver.

3. Issue: After installing the device driver above, system reboots and after logging back using the local admin account or any other windows account (DWM service) crashes along with any other software installed (Ms. Office, Lync, IE9, ...ext). 4. Questions:
T440 hardware compatible with Lenovo ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video ?
Which USB version Lenovo ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video has ? (2.0 or 3.0) ? did I missed some special drivers for USB ?

Hi,
it seems that you installed your own WinXP OS (not the recovery CD OS). In this way you have to install the drivers and tools in the right order.
These order can be found in a html file on the tools&utlities CD.
When it is installed in a right way the two unknown devices should be installed correctly!

I have an HP 15 g207AX notebook. I have installed windows 7 64bit. I have download the drivers specified in HP website but some device drivers are missing. List of missing divers is mentioned below

Missing drivers for Windows 7 Professional with BootCamp.

I have a brand new MB Pro with 13" Retina, late 2013, 250 GB SS-disk, 8 GB RAM.
I need a partition with Windows 7 Professional, and I have an ISO with Norwegian Windows 7, service pack 1.
I run the BootCamp assistant to partition my HDD and to generate the USB-disk with Windows and the necessary drivers.
When i try to install Windows the Windows installer asks for a driver for the DVD-drive. I get a message that it cannot find a driver file and tells me to provide one. There is no DVD so that is correct. There is no way I can skip this part, and I must stop the intallation. I have not been able to trace down any dummy-drivers.
I have also tried to do this procedure with a USB-Superdrive attatched, but that did not help.

I am sorry, but this does not help me. I have tried. Or should I unpack all files to the top-level? I kept the folder structure.
I have downloaded the contents and it looks just like my Windows installation USB-disk that Boot Camp generates.
My problem is that when I am in the process of installing Windows, the installer stops because it does not find a driver for the CD/DVD-drive. I have chosen Language, and the next thing that happens is an error message. I can not complete the installation.
The error-message is something like this:
"Missing driver for CD/DVD station. ...
If the Windows installation medium is in the CD/DVD-station you may safely remove it before this step."
I have used the same iso-image to install a virtual machine using Virtual Box, so I think the image is OK. I need a dual-boot to avoid timing loss.

Drivers for USB 3.0 Dock

Recently purchased X1 Carbon. Wiped drive and installed Windows 7 64-bit from existing image/clone. Connected USB 3.0 dock to laptop and installed all applicable drivers through both Windows Updates and the Lenovo System Update utility. As it stands, I have no ethernet connectivity through the dock even though the dock is recognized by the computer and the network activity lights (green and orange) are working on the back of the dock.
Currently all drivers are installed except:
- Lenovo USB Ethernet
- ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock
- ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock
Additionally, the Lenovo USB Audio shows, "This device cannot start." Presumably, this affects the head phone port of the dock.
What am I missing? No installation disk was included with the dock but I believe the Lenovo System Update utility should have taken care of that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Use the button at top of this page titled "Support", then click "Download drivers" from the menu. Enter your Model Number. After entering MN click 'Go". On the next page use the dropdown menu to select Windows 8.1, click Next. A list will populate with drivers/software.
Btw-HP uses different components such as Intel ,Broadcom,Realtek Wireless,etc. Best to take a list from Device Manager now so you know which driver to choose.
