Missing Dynamic Guides

Dynamic Guides are not appearing in Motion Three. I've tried turning off and on the Overlays. I've tried deleting prefs.
Any Ideas other than reinstall?

I'm having the same issue. I have the new Motion 3 book and am just working through the intro and there are a number of things that don't appear to work right or like the book says. I'm suppose to be able to drag the boomerang.mov file over to the canvas and the dynamic guides are suppose to show and just dropping the .mov to the canvas adds the file to the project. Well, I've turned dynamic guides on and off and they never appear. I can drag a .mov to the project pane and it will add but if I drag it to the canvas you see a box but when you release the mouse and then click in the canvas the clip disappears and is no where to be found.

  • Motion 5 doesn't show dynamic guides on fcpx title templates

I am trying to edit a FCPX title template in Motion 5. Specifically, it is Horizontal Blur. Once I open the template in motion, there are no dynamic guides. In the view menu, I have both Show Overlays and Show Dynamic Guides checked. Yet, no dynamic guides are showing.
If I open a blank project, the dynamic guides work.
Anybody run into this and have any thoughts on how to turn them on?
    Thanks
    Chris

Thank you. That was the trick. I already had 2 snap buttons enabled. Surprised that there was yet another.
Any reason why dynamic guides work on a new project but not on template? Is there a prefences override on FCPX templates?
    Thanks!

Well, it took me a while, had to trash the pref file then restart and dynamic guides now works fine.
i think that's a bug because I had every think set correctly before trashing the pref with no results.
    thanks for the replies.

  • Crystal Reports -  missing dynamic parameters when published to InfoView

    Hi all,
I'm facing a problem when I publish Crystal Reports 2008 V1 which includes dynamic parameters on InfoView (either on BO EDGE 3.1 or Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1). Problem manifests itself in missing dinamic parameters - I get only static parameter panel and need to write in the value by myself... All other documents like Webi, Deski (on BO EDGE) works fine.
I have tried to install all latest Service Pack's for Crystal Reports 2008 V1 but it didn't solve the problem. Btw, Crystal Reports 2008 V1 designer is installed on client machine.
Here are the details of both installations:
    BO EDGE 3.1.
    OS: Windows Server 2003 SP2
Repository database: MS SQL Server 2005
    CR Server 2008 V1
    OS: Windows Server 2003 SP2
    Repository database: MySQL
Does anyone had a same problem?
    I will appreciate any help!
    Best regrads

I had the same situation when I changed from a SQL server 2005 data source to a SQL server 2008 data source while using CR 2008.  Change printer option default in the report designer to use u201CNo Printer (optimize for screen display) and republish to InfoView.   Not sure why this would work, but it resolved the issue for us.

  • Missing Dynamic Lighting Bolt on properties panel

    Hi all,
CS6 on windows XP.  PHP/MySQL local site setup and working fine.  Only problem, I cannot bind a recordset to a select list because the lighing bolt / dynamic icon is missing from the properties panel.
At the moment I am opeing an old CS4 version to get around this problem.
All other dynamic behavoiurs etc are working fine in CS6. Updates are done. My version of dreamweaver was purchased a few months ago via cloud membership.
    Any help greatly appeciated.
    Thanks
    Jon

Dreamweaver's server behaviors use deprecated code, which PHP and MySQL recommend should not be used for new projects. The other main problem is that they don't validate the user input. Also, they frequently query the database when it's not necessary. But perhaps the worst aspect is that they give a false sense of security. That's not to say they've got security loopholes, but many people use them without understanding any of the code that's generated.
Adobe's recommendation is to hand-code the PHP or to use a third-party framework. The one I used in my Dreamweaver CS5 book is Zend Framework. A new version of the Framework has just been released, so I'll probably have to update that book, although it's still valid for Zend Framework I.
Glad you like my PHP Solutions book. I'm honoured to be in Saint Eric's company.

  • Channel 17 "Really TV" missing from guide

I seem to have some channels missing from the guide including Channel 17 "Really TV"
I have tried re-scanning channels and in any case have my BT Vision box set to automatically scan for channels.
    Can anyone help?
    Jennyo

The freeview channels are transmitted in 6 groups, called multiplexes. Each multiplex is on a different UHF frequency.
Really (Ch 17) is transmitted on the COM5 multiplex (MUX).  Have you also lost all the other channels on that MUX?
See here for a list of which channels are on each MUX in each country (E=England, W=Wales, etc).

  • Cannot copy a section in new "Pages 5." Miss "dynamic templates."

I loved being able to create a document with tables, graphics and other detailed material on a page that was its own "section." Then when I wanted to re-use it IN THAT SAME DOCUMENT, like an order form for example, I could copy it as many times as I liked in the same docuemnt, delete whatever parts were not needed in the copy and use it as a kind of "dynamic template."
How do you copy a whole page all at once with complex content in the New pages?

You can't really, other than to manually select all the content starting at the top of the page and paste elsewhere.
Working with pages as pages has been abandoned in Pages.
    I'm sorry.

  • Missing Dynamic as an option.

It seems I have deleted my dynamic wallpaper on my iphone5 as "dynamic" is no longer an option under wallpapers and brightness. Is it possible to restore those from somewhere?
Nevermind.  Have to click on a screen first before that option is available.

  • IPad ios6 update Chinese keyboard option missing dynamic selection in zhuyin

After update my iPad to ios6, the zhyin has different keyboard layout. I was told to switch the option to dynamic so I can switch back to the old way.  But I don't see such selection when I am in general -> keyboard -> Chinese traditional zhuyin-> zhuyin (only selection I have)
    Help?

You may want to search/ask in the Chinese Mac group, I doubt there is any fix other than asking Apple to change it.

  • Missing dynamic user events across VIs

We have a sub-Vi Statemachine.vi, which has its own event structure with a 5ms time-out, everything enclosed into a loop.
This sub-VI is called repeatedly from the main application with command lists to execute. This can be a longer list or e.g. an empty list.
It turned out, that we can miss successfully sent events, despite the documented internal queues.
Placing the event structure into an added parallel executing, non-terminating loop in the sub-VI seems to help.
Is there a link to further informations about this behaviour? We are using a german LV 8.2.1.

    Martin,
I don't know of a good document describing the use of the user event in the way the you and I are using them.
I've learned from bits and pieces lying around and my collegue. After using it for two years now I have a framework in which the use of user events is relatively easy.
I know this doesn't help you a lot, but I know that if get the hang of it, it will provide a good and usable architecture.
I hope the attachments helps you a bit. It is the way I define user event for inter process communication. It will get rid of a lot of wiring.
    Kind regards,
    André

  • Missing Dynamic Pages and SEO

Hello I have a details page that takes the URL parameter
Product-Code and displays the details for that product. Now what
happens when I remove a prduct from the database and that URL still
exists in the Search Engine indexes. I noticed that even though the
product code doesn;t exist anymore the page still executes and
shows all blank information. So basically I'm going to have all
those old product pages in search engines with no info and run teh
risk of duplicate content penalty. What shoudl I do. The site is
programmed in CF. You can see what I mean by visting the site
www.juniorbaby.com and click on a product and change the product
code in the URL. The page will load with no info. I feel my ranking
has been dropping and this might be the problem. The serach engine
must think all those old pages are all the same. Any help would be
    greatly appreciated.
    Pete

    1) SE != spider : some spiders follow rules you set in meat
    tags,
robots.txt, rel ttributes etc, others do not.
    2) <cflocation> tag basically means http code 301 "temp
    moved" (or is it
302?): in cf8 you can set cflocation to return 301 or 302
    code
(temp/permanently moved, whichever one is which).
    3) use cflocation inside cftry/cfcatch (around retrieve
    product details
query) block to redirect your users to a full products
    listing page
    4) google webmaster tools lets you request removal of a url
    from
google's search index - do that. if you are not using google
    webmaster
    tools - shame on you!

  • Missing Guide lines

I am using DVD Studio Pro 3.
Can't make the guide lines show up for lining up the text in the menu.
In the Alignment preferences I have checked, rulers=show, Units=show, Guides= show, and Show Dynamic Guides at object center, Show Dynamic Guides at object edges. What am I missing? Can't find any preferences to toss to start over at default.
I'm sure this is an easy one, but can't find references in the discussion search either.
Thanks for any light ya'll may be able to shed.

    Hi Hal,
I sure thought your suggestion would do the trick, but alas, no guide lines. I guess I was looking at the correct preference file in the 2 Libraries, just didn't recognize the name formation. I can change the ruler option in the program's preference file, but no guide lines. I can live without them, but just can't figure out where and when they disappeared. Would reinstalling DVDSP work? Hate to mess up anything else. I really like this program, suits me very well.
    Thanks Again,

  • Arch Linux Beginners Guide

Remembering the days when I installed Arch Linux for the first time I still feel that Arch misses a guide for beginners. I started one at the Wiki. Its intention is to show how you install and configure Arch Linux until you have a fully working desktop system for multimedia and office purpose. I'm still heavily improving it. If you have any suggestions or critics feel free to drop me a note or add the content to the wiki. If you find some spelling or grammar errors do the same or fix them, I'm no native speaker

iphitus wrote:article is too big. provide links to existing wiki pages and documentation. If things change and you dont know, your article will be broken.
Sure...but you will have this problem with all wiki pages. If you don't have a maintainer for bigger articles, the whole idea of the wiki won't work well.
iphitus wrote:For example, change the install documentation to the install guide. Same goes for network, link to existing pages, and if there isnt one, create one.
I disagree with this one. I personally like the idea of having one basic guide which will led in most cases to a fully working system and does not stop right after the installation, which will leave you with a single prompt. I tried to explain the "basic things" and give links for digging deeper (I may have failed at this, but I tried and will try again).
Therefore you are right about linking, but as you may have seen I tried to link to existing pages if they exist and give more than just a basic information. As far as I know no install guide for voodoo exists yet.
What I really don't want to do, is to create just a meta page that only links to other pages, for three reasons:
    * It's annoying to read if you have to follow a link, get back and follow the next link...
    * Because there is no single maintainer for all the sub pages, you can only link to pages that are known stable, otherwise the beginner will be totally lost fast
    * Some of the other pages are way too technically for a beginner, they quickly start with special things for exotic purposes (mainly because experienced people don't like writing about basic things I believe)
iphitus wrote:Some of it seems a bit overkill too, you give a newbie style how to for tiny things, but completely gloss over even a basic description of what the "daemons line" is. Newbies using this beginners guide learn bugger all, as they just copy from the beginner guide. When things go wrong, they come to the forums rather than use initiative. I guess the installation and configuration acts as a form of natural selection.
I think we have a different opinion how a wiki works, I always thought you start with something and improve it over time, when questions or suggestions arrive.
A wiki will get better if more than one people is involved, therefore sharing and discussing at an early point of time is reasonable.
On the other hand you are absolutely right about the daemons line, which should be explained for a beginner (EDIT: I added a paragraph about daemons a few moments ago).
But I think differently about the natural selection. I never felt that Arch Linux aims to be an elitist distribution and that an acceptance test is needed if you want to use it...what I have seen from the community so far, Arch seems in fact to be the opposite. I like Arch for being clean, simple and logical constructed, not for being complicated. I'm too old to get     self-confidence just from installing an operating system.
If users use the forum to ask the same questions again and again, our beginners guide is incomplete and we should fix it.
    iphitus wrote:Things like:
    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arc … or_newbies
and a better FAQ, would be more useful than yet another blow by blow install tutorial that falls out of date in 6 months.
    James
This may not be representative, but a better FAQ and Jargon for Newbies (damn, I really love this elite attitude ) wouldn't helped him:
Someone at my blog wrote:Thanks for the guide! I tried installing Arch over Christmas and had the worst time trying to figure that out. So I of course went back to my trusty Gentoo. I always liked Gentoo because even though its an "advanced distro" they provide you with plenty of documentation. Arch on the other hand does not and that really bothered me. But now that I have a Gentoo style guide, I think I'll try it again!
Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate your criticism because it makes me think twice about some things and will most probably lead to a better guide.
