Missing email functions in iOS 7

Since changing to iOS 7, I no longer have the reply, trash, flag, or new email, icons at the bottom of the screen when viewing my emails. Has anyone else had this same problem? I have no idea what to do.

Those icons are at the top right now in iOS7Flag is first, then move, trash, forward and lastly new from left to right

Why IOS email functionality so annoying...

I have been a happy ios users since i moved from Android 2 years ago. I have used very basic email functionality of ios so far until last week when i started using ios emails for professional work.
Can some help me to understand are these real flaw in ios email functionality or is it just me who dont know how to use it.
1. Attachments - I am not able to attach any official files (not file) to an email. (other than photos etc)
                       - There is no feature available to attach files (not file) to forwarded emails and reply emails
                      -   I want to send files as ATTACHMENTS not cloud links. So frustrating...
                        - cant open zip files which is commonly used in professional world.
If these are real flaws in ios then i am not sure how could someone use iPhone/iPad for official purpose. Are they just meant for non-office things?

If you have the DropBox App you can tap on the file you wish to email, and then tap on the icon and then on Open In. (You may need to scroll the bottom row of icons to show the Open in option), then just choose Outlook, or even Mail to create a new email with the selected file actually attached rather than as a link.
Other than that there does not seem to be any other way to attach a file, and there does not appear to be a way to attach a file to an existing email reply or similar.
It only works for completely new emails.

Share via email function missing in Pages

I use the share via email function 100+ times a day. I'm a power user with it and my business work efficiency depends on it as most of my clients work with MS Office.
Now that share via email function is completely missing in Page 5.5 (Yosemite). Did they remove it!?!?!?
Now have to export as a Word Doc, save it, open email and attach it. Very frustrating.
I use a 2010 Macbook Pro with everything up to date on it. I have not upgraded to iCloud Drive, as I want to manually retrieve all my iPad documents and back it up before activating that feature.
Any insights?

The Share feature was not removed. It is located in the toolbar and looks like a box with an arrow pointing up next to the tips button. Take a look at the links below for how to do this and if you are missing that button, you can add it back by following the second article.

Missing emails on iOS 8 - but only on iPad Air! Why?

Why don't some emails arrive on iOS 8 on iPad but they do arrive on iOS 8 on iPhone 5 and Mavericks on my MacBookPro?
Recent "absent" emails are from bona-fide senders (Apple & FileMaker etc).
All help gratefully received please!

Creating a email extension for ios... it keeps flipping the orientation of the app when closing.

I know, if I need help I should go post on some apple board... but it's information overflow.... and I am not 100% sure it's related to the extension.
Here's the problem
I am creating/using an extension to open the MFMailComposeViewController.
Now, I figured out how to open it and force it to landscape, but the problem is when I close the email it, my app flips upside down. (landscape left when it was landscape right before, or vice versa)
My app is set to force landscape left and right... and the mail controller does open in landscape... but it's either upside down (landscape right, when the app is left, or vice versa) or when it closes, it flips the application the other way.
Has anyone encountered anything like this and ideas on how to fix it?
My app publish settings, I set to landscape, auto-orient is set to false and it's full screen,
However, on start up in code... I am setting stage.autoOrients = true and then using the CustomOrientation.as to control the rotation (to force landscape only)
in my extension, I am showing the MFMailComposeViewController in the
[[[[UIApplication sharedApplication] keyWindow] rootViewcontroller] presentModalViewcontroller:mailCompser animated:NO];
and mailCompser is a subclassed MFMailComposeViewcontroller object and I have set it's override to this:

When I launch my app, it starts
stage.orientation = rotatedRight
I then launch my extension and the email page for ios appears, in the correct orientation.... if I rotate the device, both the email and the app rotate to rotatedRight or rotatedLeft correctly.
I then click Cancel, delete draft
The email window disappears, but now my screen is landscape left.... if I wiggle the device, the sensor picks it up and then rotates the app back right, but this is a major problem.
I am thinking it has something to do with the rootViewController orienatation, but I don't know enough about objC and xcode to know what to do.
I have tried googling and searching will little to no luck... but then, the answer could be staring at me and I would have missed it as I am an obj c noob.
Anyone know how I can fix this?

I had the same problem and found the following workaround: apart from overriding MFMailComposeViewController's shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation, I also added implementations for
_preferredInterfaceOrientationGivenCurrentOrientation
and
_isSupportedInterfaceOrientation
in a category of UIViewController in the native code.
Then, in the Actionscript code, added an event listener for StageOrientationEvent.ORIENTATION_CHANGING (with high priority and use_capture = true) in Actionscript to prevent resizing of the stage, which can occur even if the orientation doesn’t change.
This fixed it for me, but, as it messes with UIViewController, it makes it tricky to have views which have different orientation behaviour (if you want one view to be able to rotate in all directions, but others only to support Landscape, for example).

Missing emails in Mail - Lion deleting them?

I'm using Mail with two IMAP accounts (oneis gmail), and I'm experiencing a little weirdness.
I seem to be missing emails coming in, which I'm not deleting or filing away.
I got in late last night and checked my emails on my iPhone. I read one that needed to be replied to today, then closed Mail on my iPhone and went to bed.
This morning, I jumped on my Lion iMac and opened Mail - and the email I read on my iPhone doesn't appear in my inbox. I checked on my iPhone and iPad and it's not there either.
I didn't delete it or move it or do anything other than read it on my iPhone.
I asked on another forum, and one person said the following:
I am experiencing the same thing. I seem to be able to send email from the Lion's new Mail, but can't receive any.
I have several mail accounts in Mail and the problem seem to be the same with all of them regardless of whether on exchange server or not. The strange thing is that I can see and read some of the "invisible" incoming mail in my iPhone, but if I try to refresh my Mail accounts on mac, it may delete the new emails also from my iPhone! The disappearing emails are nowhere to be found and I have also checked the external exchange service mail boxes and junk mail and spam boxes.
Quite serious bug causing a lot of harm!
So it doesn't seem to be just me.

I have an Exchange, 5 IMAP, and a POP account. I only have the exchange and an IMAP set up on my phone and iPad, so I only know that those are acting odd for sure. Not really sure what the problem is. The emails are showing up in searches. I have a special "ding" for when my wife emails me and that sounds, but I can only see it if I search for it. The message, along with, most, others wont show up in my inbox...
I'm a part of the developers beta for iCloud and have iOS 5 beta on my iPad but not my iPhone. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I figured I should mention.
I really have no idea where to start to fix this bug. Maybe adding and removing the account, but if it's a problem spanning multiple accounts, that doesn't seem likely and with the number of email I have, it'd require quite a while to sync up again.

Missing email from my iCloud inbox.

When I download eMail messages they downloadI And I can see that happen. However, the eMail messages do not go to my iCloud Inbox. Nor do the eMail messages go to my gmail Inbox.
Strangely most, but not all eMails, can be found in gmail folder "Important".
I also had the same problem with Mobile Me, unfortunely at that time I did not have a gmail account. Those missing eMails from the Mobile Me Inbox were never recovered. So I gaps in my email, weeks, or months.

To change the From name on and iOS device, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap iCloud under Accounts, tap your iCloud account at the top of the next screen, tap Mail at the bottom of the next screen, then enter the name you want to use in the Name field at the top.
To change the From name on a Mac (if you have one), go to icloud.com, sign into your account, open Mail, click the gear shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, go to the Accounts tab and enter the name you want to use in the Full Name field and click Done. Then quit Mail on your Mac and re-open it. Your new From name should now appear in the drop-down list when you compose a new email.

Missing emails, contacts, calendar and texts - iOS6 upgrade

Has anyone else experienced this or know what to do? Everyone seems to be in complete denial at Apple about this problem.
At the store, they advised me to set up the phone as a completely new phone however:
- am **STILL** missing emails, contact, calendar appointments and texts (I use MS-exchange)
- I've lost all my old texts and notes (and am trying to do a backup to my old iPhone 4s (on old iOS) but its not working
I'm ready to commit myself to an asylum from the havoc wreaked in my life a the moment, not to mention my sadness at losing a note containing all both my daughters milestones and special moments from the last 4 years (which I can't retrieve because the restore to iPhone 4s isn't working).
Can someone please help preserve my sanity and help this problem? I have deleted iCloud as I think perhaps the "Cloud" is confusing matters and getting rid of data (and not working well with Exchange)
Any other tips?

It's possible that your iOS apps may have been moved.
Page 139 of the iPhone User Guide will show you how to reset the Home Screen layout:

Go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose an option:
Reset the Home screen layout: Returns the built-in apps to their original layout on the Home screen.

I have noticed an issue with utilizing the “stream” function on iOS 7. If you choose to just stream the movie by hitting the play button it seems to actually start downloading (which is fine) but if you are say halfway thru the movie and stop you can clearly see that storage has been reduced under the usage, yet under the “videos” tab it still states “No Data” the only way to delete what you have partially downloaded is to fully download the video, which is fine but there is no way to tell what videos have been partially downloaded (I.e which occurs a lot when your child switches between movies using the so called “stream” function). This becomes troublesome once the capacity of the ipad is almost met and you have no way to delete this data since you may have several videos that have started to be viewed (hence partially downloaded). Apple needs to somehow make it truly streaming or provide an update so the storage can be managed. The only way I have been able to remove partially downloaded videos is by doing a total software restore. (The video data that is in question when connected to my MacBook shows up in iTunes as “other”) if you have any insight into this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

IMO opendns is either doing this on purpose (unlikely) or they're under some sort of attack/being used to attack the specific torrent sites although I'm open to other explanations. I believe using the automatic setting for DNS is using my own ISP's DNS servers (which again, work fine... but still...)
I'd rather not use Google's public DNS servers as Google is to commercial these days and I think there's potential privacy issues.

It sounds like you want to sign in with a different iCloud email address on your device running iOS 8. You can do that in Settings:
iCloud: Change iCloud feature settings
On your iOS device: Go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Sign Out (Delete Account in iOS 7 and earlier).

Acrobat 9.0 - "attach to email" function no longer works (Win 7, MS Outlook 2010)

All of a sudden, my "attach to email" function no longer works. If I open a PDF in Acrobat 9.0, and I try to "attach to email," nothing happens. This feature has always worked for me in the past. When I check for updates, Acrobat reports that I'm up to date. I recently updated Flash Player 16 and Reader XI (11.0.10).
My OS is Windows 7, 64 bit, and I use MS Outlook 2010.
