Missing episodes from Star Trek: Enterprise Season 4

I want to buy season 4 of Star Trek: Enterprise on iTunes, but it appears as if episodes 1 and 18 are missing. Does anyone know what is going on there?

Apple can only sell what the content/media owners give to the iTS for distribution.

Missing episodes from iTunes.

Has anyone noticed missing episodes on iTunes? I purchased a season pass for "Please Like Me" and episode 4 is missing.

Whether iTunes has synced all six episodes to your Apple TV or is planning on streaming them, all six episodes should appear on your TV. (When iTunes is running on your Mac, otherwise +only synced+ items appear on your Apple TV.) Do you have "Show only the synced items on my Apple TV" selected in iTunes, under the Summary tab?
Although I don't have a definitive answer, what I'd try is:
1) Quit and restart iTunes. Ensure that your Apple TV can see iTunes, perhaps by downloading some podcast to your Mac and verifying that you can see it on your Apple TV.
2) In iTunes, switch to Custom Sync and then go to the TV Shows tab and sync All Episodes of just that one show. Remember to press the Sync button.
3) Try restarting the Apple TV by holding both the Menu and Down arrow buttons for several seconds (six?).
4) Try playing the troublesome episodes in iTunes. Ensure that they're marked as Not New (right click the episodes and select "Mark as Not New" from the context menu).

Missing episode from seasons pass- please help!

I bought a seasons pass to Project Design. Every episode downloaded but one. When I click check for purchases, it states that "all purchases have been downloaded" etc.
So I followed the help thread which told me where to find and delete it:
C://Documents and Settings/username/mydocuments/mymusic/itunes/itunesmusic/download
Ok...found it. It had a .tmp and put it in recycle bin.
Can someone tell me what to do now? Still won't download.

If it's not downloading when you run the "Check for purchases" command, you'll need to contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.

Missing episodes from TV series

Hi all.
I purchased a season ticket for 24 Season 8.
I thought all episodes had downloaded, however, when I watched, episodes 18 and 19 are missing - arrrgh!!
Now I can't watch the climactic episodes without these!! Sooo near the end!
I can't see them on my download list, so what can I do to re-download them? I don't think I would have downloaded them in the first place....?

What country are you in ? If you are in the US, Canada, Australia or the UK then you can re-download TV shows via the Cloud : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 - if they don't show in your purchase history then I assume that you aren't in one of those countries (?)

Missing episodes from ATV

I ordered the season pass for The Prisoner, but only episodes 4-8 downloaded. Check for downloads says nothing available and the only thing listed in iTunes is the trailer. Wha' happen?

are they available to download when you try in itunes?
if not, then it's not an appletv issue and you should contact itunes store support.

Star Trek Voyager Episode 1 and 2 - Error 8008

I have bought the first two episodes of star trek voyager on iTunes but I have not been able to successfully download "Caretaker" or "Parallax". Everytime I try to download I get an error 8008. When I try to restart the download it gives me the same error message. The first download stopped at 30.0 megs and the second at 10.1 megs.

I have the same problem with Weeds. Nothing that I can find on the support site.

Creating an effect - sort of Star Trek-like tractor beam effect

I'm trying to come up with a way to make a particle effect that sort of looks like a tractor beam effect from Star Trek.
I want a line or thin rectangle to be the particle. The particle itself wouldn't spread out or have any speed itself, but I'd like one end of each particle to all be at the same point, but the opposite end spread out in something like a 10-15 degree arc. Each particle would have a very short life....only .5 to .75 seconds each.....to give a feathery random energy beam-like effect with a origin at one point but spreading out to cover an area.
Does that description make any sense? Is there a way to do this?

Star Trek: TOS Remastered-Where is the rest of season one?

I bought a season pass for TOS Remastered and there hasnt been an update in forever, there have been plenty of season 1 episodes that have aired and have not appeared on the Store. Is there anywhere i can email Apple and complain. I would use feedback but i dont know what to choose. If anyone has details when the episodes are gonna be added please post back.

I understand you would like to download the rest of your "Star Trek Original Series Remastered Season 1" season pass. I know this must be frustrating.
Generally, the television networks provide Apple with the latest episode of each show within 24 hours of the original air time. Occasionally, there can be a delay.
You can rest assured that Apple is working to make this episode available on the iTunes Store as soon as possible.

Seriously, 24 hours. I've been reading reviews on the store and people were saying that the 11 same episodes have been there since before March, i wouldnt consider this a "minor" delay.

Missing episodes of 24 season 1

episodes 9- 10- and 24 are missing from the drop list!!
also since 7.0 my updates are only partial on my ipod.. it doesnt install my entire collection, any help would be great..

I cannot download an episode from my cloud to my iPAD, but the rest of the season worked.

I initially tried to download the first few episodes of a show that I had purchased in iTunes and kept getting a "download error" for episode one, but others would download just fine. Then I tried "download all" and the entire season downloaded to my iPad just fine, except for that first episode.
I can't find a way to get the episode from the cloud. I also do not know how to delete the failed attempt from the "downloads" section of iTunes on my iPad.
I'd appreciate any help.

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.

Missing episodes after buying a season pass to a TV series

I bought a season pass for Vampire Diaries Season 4 and the clowns at iTunes have released episode 15 before episodes 12, 13 & 14. I started watching the downloaded episode before realising it was the wrong one - massive spoilers!!! How do I get the missing episodes? Who do I contact to find out why they haven't released or sent over the earlier episodes? I'm really hacked off at this rubbish excuse for service.

It's likely that even more people haven't had problems and just haven't bothered to come here and say, "Hey, season passes work for me!". On a tech support forum, you're going to hear about problems. I've purchased a number of season passes and had no problems. I really like the convenience.

From the Apple TV, I chose netflix from the main menu. I then chose the show Prison Break. Only 22 episodes from Season 1 are displayed. When chosing NetFlix from my Blue Ray player I see all the episodes.

Those are all the episodes for that season, if you want to view another season you need to select it

NO Star Trek Episodes Play anyone know why

Anytime I try to download/play a star trek episode it does not download and says the same thing everytime "PLAYBACK FAILED There was an error while playing back this video" Any suggestions? I have windows XP and live iN Los Angeles. Could there be a copywrite law here? Has William Shatner demanded more money?? Plus if I have several downloads going at the same time, and if the program I am NOT watching downloads first the file disappears and cant be found?? Where do the downloads go?? You should just be able to click on the file thats downloading in order to play it or find the file after its downloaded, But thats not possible. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. When you're editing DV, the DV stream is converted to analog for viewing externally by the camera/deck/box you're using connected to the FW port on your Mac... so the problem here isn't that FCP can't do it... (it never could and probably never will) . The problem is that the hardware to do this isn't in any HDV device... Bet it's not cheap either. HDV is an MPEG stream, and to decode that in real time converting it to analog would take a LOT of heavy lifting... expensive heavy lifting.
I'd suggest that you get a capture card that will do this... I'd look right at a Kona LH series card. Better yet, if you have an intel Mac, is an Io HD for the job. Capture as ProRes instead of HDV, and you'll find the whole system is faster, and graphics look a ton better.

My episodes from the same show and season are separated

In iTunes, I have several episodes from The Vampire Diaries, where if I look at them in the "Album List" view, they are separated, as you can see below.
Everything is the info is exactly the same, this has happened before, with misspellings, but now they are spelt exactly the same, and correctly, and yet they are still separated, I tried deleting them and re-inserting them, but it still separates them.

Tips on grouping & sorting TV Shows...
Set the Media Kind to TV Show, give them a consistent Show name and also use this value in the Album field.
Set Artist & Album Artist to something like <Show> Cast in case iTunes/iPod starts treating them like an album instead of a TV show.
TV Shows can be subdivided into seasons by putting 1,2,3 etc. in the Season field of the Video tab of Get Info. Alternatively multiple seasons can be collapsed into one show by clearing such values.
TV Shows within a season/show are ordered alphabetically on the value of Episode ID. These are usually given in the form s##e## where ## is two digits with a leading zero if required.
I recommend using global episode numbers, so the first show of the second series of a show with 6 episodes in season one is episode 7 (s02e07). This makes it easy to set or clear the season numbers without affecting the order. I also recommend setting Disc No. to Season No. and Track No. to Episode No. as various builds of iOS/iTunes have it seems, at times, sorted on these other fields instead of Episode ID.

Where can I find out about availability of titles on the itunes store?
I bought season 1 of the Star Trek Original series Remastered.
Seasons 2 and 3 are now available on DVD, but I cant find it in the iTunes Store.
I want to find out when they will be available in iTunes
