MISSING EPISODES on FIOS VOD

What happened last week? Seems that many of the series are missing episodes on both HD & standard. I went to watch the first episode of 'The River' (March 7). It was listed, but when I clicked on it, I got a message that it is unavailable. The next day, it disappeared from the list altogether. Same thing with Episode 104 on 'Lost Girl' on SyFy. Both series are available on VOD, so that's not the issue. I spot checked other series and noticed that others also had 'holes'.
Please update the VOD list (especially for the 2 programs I mentioned).

a Google search of this issue shows it's been going on for at least three years and Verizon has never even addressed it.

Missing Episode in Series VOD Content Again

A previous poster had requested that Verizon offer the expanded Starz HD VOD. I would also like Verizon to expand their HD VOD premium selections (Starz HD on demand, SHO, etc).    They often skip key programming that is on Comcast HD VOD in my area.
Even more frustrating however, every time I start watching a series on demand, FiOS goes and skips an episode. FiOS did it with the Tudors, Party Down, and now Nurse Jackie (on SHO HD VOD).    Right now in VHO4 Showtime HD VOD has episode 6 of Nurse Jackie, but still no episode 5.   I start watching these premium series on VOD because they often premier week earlier. Why can’t programming be consistently loaded into VOD?    As far as quality control, if a movie is missing, I can see where they might not notice. But isn’t it more obvious when an episode number is skipped?
I last complained about this in March under different user account which was deactivated. Did I say something bad?

Missing episodes after buying a season pass to a TV series

I bought a season pass for Vampire Diaries Season 4 and the clowns at iTunes have released episode 15 before episodes 12, 13 & 14. I started watching the downloaded episode before realising it was the wrong one - massive spoilers!!! How do I get the missing episodes? Who do I contact to find out why they haven't released or sent over the earlier episodes? I'm really hacked off at this rubbish excuse for service.

It's likely that even more people haven't had problems and just haven't bothered to come here and say, "Hey, season passes work for me!". On a tech support forum, you're going to hear about problems. I've purchased a number of season passes and had no problems. I really like the convenience.

They add extra episodes every week or so.
I suspect it something to do with the liicensing and when the relevant episodes were first aired. We seem to get their episodes 2 years after they were first aired.

Missing episodes from iTunes.

Has anyone noticed missing episodes on iTunes? I purchased a season pass for "Please Like Me" and episode 4 is missing.

Whether iTunes has synced all six episodes to your Apple TV or is planning on streaming them, all six episodes should appear on your TV. (When iTunes is running on your Mac, otherwise +only synced+ items appear on your Apple TV.) Do you have "Show only the synced items on my Apple TV" selected in iTunes, under the Summary tab?
Although I don't have a definitive answer, what I'd try is:
1) Quit and restart iTunes. Ensure that your Apple TV can see iTunes, perhaps by downloading some podcast to your Mac and verifying that you can see it on your Apple TV.
2) In iTunes, switch to Custom Sync and then go to the TV Shows tab and sync All Episodes of just that one show. Remember to press the Sync button.
3) Try restarting the Apple TV by holding both the Menu and Down arrow buttons for several seconds (six?).
4) Try playing the troublesome episodes in iTunes. Ensure that they're marked as Not New (right click the episodes and select "Mark as Not New" from the context menu).

FIOS VOD, why can't we pause it!!!!!

I think it is ridiculous that we can't pause, stop ff, rew on FIOS VOD. It is a real pain when watching a show, if you need pause for something, that you need to completley start over again! This is a real weakness that should be changed IMO. Comcast allowed you to pause,, etc.....

The fault is with the provider (ABC and NBC). They require no FF so you can't skip their commercials and the implementation disables all the functions. VOD movies and shows not on those networks do allow full function control.

Missing episodes and image in Library view

There are now 10 episodes and it's still showing only 7 episodes in iTunes. We use Blubrry Powerpress and have already set the feed number to show 10 so that shouldn't be the issue. Another odd thing is, when you subscribe, view the feed in the Library and it shows only 9, which is missing episode 8 as well as the image. Any idea what might be causing this? You should be able to see the download in your purchase section on your Apple TV. Also check on other devices like an iPad if you have one or in iTunes on your computer. If not, the report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Missing episodes of 24 season 1

episodes 9- 10- and 24 are missing from the drop list!!
also since 7.0 my updates are only partial on my ipod.. it doesnt install my entire collection, any help would be great..

VOD Missing Episodes

I have been bothered with missing VOD too often but this REALLY HURTS. I just returned home from being away for several weeks. Breaking Bad HD episodes 09 and 11 are there but not 10.
Is this VHO specific too? I am in VHO 4. I was also disappointed that 1.9 was still not loaded or even a message that it was coming. I know I can go back read other posts on this topic but why bother. Maybe by 2012.

Check out the BBC America VOD thread before yours. Verizon appears totally clueless if you try to ask them anything related to the content of On Demand. They simply cannot answer because they don't know.
I have emailed customer support five times to try to find out why they have not posted Episode 6 (the final episode) of a dramatic mini-series The Hour on BBC America On Demand. It aired September 21, and it is still not there. I would post the entire responses from Verizon for a good laugh here, if there was space.

Like I haven't scoured the Verizon guide On Demand every day to see if the episode has shown up.
I have contacted tech support in the past for content issues. They don't have the slightest idea what the answer is.
Nobody at Verizon seems knows anything about this. It is like a black hole that nobody is responsible for. You would think someone would know, but I have yet to find a human being at Verizon who can answer questions related to screwed up content. Apparently nobody at Verizon is responsible for Guide or On Demand content.

FIOS VOD stops starts

I have an actiontec Gen3 Rev I, it is only a moca bridge, Cisco 3000 is primary router, ONT cat6 to Cisco.
We watch a lot of VOD. Last month started having problems with remote, then with guide, then VOD. All of these things are controlled by router, not STB. Lots of useless cs calls, finally got a tech out and confirmed all other components working fine. PTT a to business tech confirmed updates to the outside system for faster quantum and prep for new router were causing problems with his bridging customers.
We put in an older router with prior rev 40.20.7 but problems persist.
Select VOD, Start watching, several minutes in video pauses, freezes, blacks then resumes, then becomes recurring every 90 seconds or so. Impossible to watch.
No router messages. No moca messages. Can't figure it out.
Thoughts? If there is a thread on this please point me couldn't find in searching.

Unfortunately I think you are missing the core point, the Actiontec Gen3RevI is a poor choice for all but the simplist of installations, it is irrelevant whether it "should" work as first device, the point is that it has worked as a moca bridge for years and is an acceptable installation option sactioned by FIOS. That the Verizon router must be first device is an interweb myth promulgated by lazy FIOS customer support. Fortunately for us FIOS has some pretty sharp field engineers that are on their game.
Many people including myself have been using installation option #7 for years with great success. In fact, #7 is the method used by FIOS installers on business installs, I know because I've had them to my residential install to troubleshoot.
As an IT professional I went through an isolation and troubleshooting review to understand what changed that started causing problems in the existing configuration rather than adjusting the configuration. The only change in the environment was firmware to the STB and something external to my house, neither the FIOS router nor my own router were updated in the time period. Per my earlier post, according to the business installer, FIOS released new software to support the higher speeds on Quantum, and that new software breaks the #7 bridging option.
I've refitted the house for Quantam Gateway and Quantum STB - so new config for me. Happy hunting.

For some episodes of shows that appear to be missing they usually aren't but to find them you have to search on the actual episode title so in this case it is called "Running on E". You can use the IMDB to find the titles of any series.
This has been reported to the Sky Go team but whether anything gets done about it I wouldn't like to guess.

Missing episodes from TV series

Hi all.
I purchased a season ticket for 24 Season 8.
I thought all episodes had downloaded, however, when I watched, episodes 18 and 19 are missing - arrrgh!!
Now I can't watch the climactic episodes without these!! Sooo near the end!
I can't see them on my download list, so what can I do to re-download them? I don't think I would have downloaded them in the first place....?

What country are you in ? If you are in the US, Canada, Australia or the UK then you can re-download TV shows via the Cloud : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 - if they don't show in your purchase history then I assume that you aren't in one of those countries (?)

Series Recordings - missing episodes

Is anyone else having issues with series recordings at the moment? I'm having to delete a series link then re-apply to pick up future episodes for some programmes. The programmes I am having issues include Merlin, Hells Kitchen and now Spooks. Is this a known bug?

Yes just happened to me. The series recording is still there but it's missed all the programmes it was supposed to record
