Missing features while upgrading to sharepoint2013

While upgrading i faced two issues: 
1. Found a missing feature Id = [dc98d4f8-2307-4fe4-9f9c-5b9d97bce640], Name = [Lab04 Feature1], Description = [], Install Location = [Lab04_Feature1
2. WebPart class [6fcd2d02-416d-6df5-d11b-992a0dc48370] (class [JSharepoint.JSFile.JSFile] from assembly [JSharepoint, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=62e6c3f22721431c])
is referenced [2] times in the database [WSS_Content_02], but is not installed on the current farm. Please install any feature/solution which contains this web part.
 i run the following query against database but query returns null
SELECT * FROM WSS_Content_2007.dbo.Features WHERE FeatureId = ’75a0fea7-cd50-401e-af0e-782f3662a299′
SELECT * FROM WSS_Content_2007.dbo.WebParts WHERE tp_WebPartTypeId like ’68ec641-8c6a-1cc6-6465-185094919a93′
is there any other way the fix these issues

I am trying to migrate SP 2010 to SP 2013 using contend db upgrade method.
Before runing Test-SPContentDatabase command I deployed all the custom wsps.
But still I am getting feature not found. No change in GUIDs.
I deployed branding feature in compitible mode and rest of other features are in native mode.
upgrade error log shows both types of features are missing.
But when I create Site Collection on default content database then I can see custom features are
avaiable.
I had followed same steps as you described in your post except one change in wsp deployment.
I had deployed branding wsp in compatible mode (14) and rest of features are native mode (15)
with same GUID. Still I am getting both type of features marked as missing.
As per your experiecne, at least in my case branding feature should not be marked as missing as installed sp 2010 version. But I can see under missing feature error.
My next question: Is that mean we can't migrate SP 2010 Content database having customization directly to native mode and has to follow compatible mode?

  • Missing Features Issue for custom upgraded solutions

    I have restored SharePoint 2010 database for migration and upgraded all my custom solutions to SharePoint 2013 using visual studio 2013 and deployed it successfully on SP2013 environment, but when I run
    Test-SPContentDatabase command it is giving feature missing as well as Setup file missing errors for all custom upgraded solutions.
    Interestingly the SP2010 WSPs that I don't have code for and I want them to run in SP2010 mode works fine and does not appear in missing feature list once deployed to SP2013.
    I also have verified that the custom upgraded features and web parts are available for other test application in SharePoint 2013.
    can anyone help why the  Test-SPContentDatabase is giving Missing Feature error for upgraded custom solutions.

    Hi, I use a torch 9810 and I just upgraded to the new OS 7.1 and not all the new features are on my phone. For example I don't have FM radio, the mobile data e.t.c what can I do to get these features..I've been asking @blackberryhelp for help but no response from them till now.

    Actual received features will be a function of your specific device capabilities coupled with the services your carrier allows.

    As you will see, that function was not made available for your specific model as your model has no actual FM radio receive inside of it. No amount of OS or software can overcome a missing piece of hardware.

    even tried to set the iphone as a "new iphone" on itunes and it didnt help

    Generally, when going out of the country and using a foreign SIM, carrier files can be changed. Go to Settings>General>About>and look at Carrier? What does it say? You may have to perform a restore. You can try a restore from a backup, that would reinstall the iOS, and would provide the latest AT&T carrier file as well. See if this will fix the problem.

    I was upset about the YouTube app as well, and my initial impressions were that the Apple YouTube app was better, but after using it a bit I realized the Google YouTube app was actually better. Some of the features are initially not obvious (in this case it was a matter of what I was used to), but they are all there and more. It seems to generally work better too.
    I don't stream an awful lot, but I have not experienced any wifi drops while doing so yet.

    Hi,
    JDev 9.0.5 had a feature called "Add Javadoc comments", but this seems to have disappeared in the latest 10.1.3 JDev. Was it deliberately removed?
    It was a useful feature, while coding I used to just write the signature of the method, then right click and say "Add Javadoc comments" it used to generate the javadoc for that method with most of the information, which now have to be written by myself manually :(

    Click in front of a public method and you see a light bulb. Press this one and it will indicate missing Javadocs providing the option to create it
    You can also go to the JDeveloper preferences and define an accelerator for adding Javadocs. Then whenever you select the method, press the defined keyboard combination and the doc will be created

    After opening the site, please select the Source Release Version which is 4.6 b Then Select the Target Release Version which is "mySAP ERP 2005" or ECC 6.0
    Select the Solution Area like Financials, Human Capital Management, Sales....

    When you are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6
    Nothing major, follow the same process you'd follow if you were updating PI service packs in R/3 or enhancing data sources. Empty queues in RSA7 and lbwq. Also empty setup tables through lbwg as the upgrade doesn't like it if these tables contain data. This is all on the R/3 side (although you empty RSA7 by running each delta TWICE in BW).
    To transfer queues from lbwq to rsa7, execute jobs through LO cockpit (lbwe).
    Some of your data sources could also be using sm13 instead of lbwq, so do check it out as well.
    For installing ECC 6.0 you required a solution manager key. With out solution manager key you cannot install ECC6.0.
    For ECC 6.0 is called net weaver component here you have ABAP+JAVA stack.
    ECC6.0 supports UNCODE.
    For installing 4.6 you don't require solution manager key. It only having ABAP stack.
    4.6C supports NONUNICODE.

  • Missing Features, Bugs, and Wish List for Apple Engineers

    I LOVE my iPhone. It is by far the best phone I have ever had. The interface is awesome. Great job Apple, but there are missing features and bugs that all of us want updated or wish were added. I know they were probably already thought of by Apple, but in an effort to make the phone perfect removed to make it more stable. Now that it is out lets make it perfect.
    This thread will hopefully give you guys guidance from the early adopters who share your love for the phone (and others who want to chime in). I want to separate the list into a few categories and hope everyone will add to this thread with their ideas:
    1) BUGS/CHANGES TO EXISTING APPS:
    - Period should be in alphabet keyboard (make space smaller) or when you go to symbol keyboard and hit period it should automatically go back to the alphabet keyboard (unless you double click the symbol button which means stay there like caps lock)
    - Individual delete (like Mail) of all lists (eg. call list, bookmarks list, history etc.
    - Multiple item in a List delete (see below for how to select). This is also so un-Mac like to not be able to select multiple items to delete. It is all or none for clear/delete on the iPhone.
    - Implement double finger slide...in maps double finger tap zooms out so the OS recognizes this, why don't you use a double finger drag to mean "select". There is no way to select some words in a sentence or a group of items. This could be how. eg. In a list (eg Mail) double finger slide over items you want to select (instead of singer finger drag which moves the list) then one finger slide to the right to delete the selected items from the list.
    - Copy and paste. Since there are no menus this would require a gesture (ala newton)
    - when you tap the battery icon it should bring up a battery status dialog (ala wifi join dialog where the screen dims): present charge, big battery icon (like the charging one), time left. In addition, instead of giving battery usage details only after a full charge, give it at any point.
    - Since you know that nights and weekends are at set times (and not variable like it was on Sprint where I came from)...the phone usage details should be broken down into: peak minutes used and N+W minutes used (not hard to figure out since you know the time and dates of calls)
    - Be able to change font/background etc in Notes app
    - faster way to get to favorites in the killer phone app after turning on phone. Just seems like it takes too many taps to get there to make a call on a phone.
    2) WISH LIST FOR NEW APPS (apps that can be added with existing hardware, see #3 for other wishes)
    - iChat (obvious and probably almost done)
    - VOIP (probably not going to happen, and wouldn't work in Europe where I would need it most gven network speeds there)
    - Flight tracker widget
    - Exchange support (probably in the works)
    - Push email from gmail and .Mac (probably in the works)
    - Bluetooth sync
    - DUN (probably not going to happen since AT+T does not want it)
    - Data/File storage with sync
    - TODO APP that syncs to to do in iCal
    - Ringtones, definitely from songs from iPod side (obvious and coming soon I am sure)
    -Search function like spotlight. Global would be awesome, but even just in contacts
    3) FUTURE HARDWARE RELATED WISHES (stuff we wish could be in hardware version 1 but know require a version 2):
    - GPS
    - 3G
    - LED that changes color and/or pulses (like MacBooks sleep light) that indicates things (eg charge status, Voice mail status, roaming status etc) without turning on the phone
    - Move camera to front to allow video conferencing (I doubt Steve would allow since it would mess up the clean front look)
    Well I could go on and will add to this thread later, but I need to go to work to show everyone (and sell more apple stuff since many of my colleagues have been converted to macs). Now, all you pioneers, start adding things to help our beloved phone become better!

    I agree with your post! I'm amazed by the simplicity, the screen, and the apps on the iPhone. They all have worked wonderfully for me, with just a few crashes while surfing or loading big email images. (I heard that shutting down the phone and restarting helps that.)
    The single flaw for me is that the phone app itself should be primary, with more options (quicker access, unique ringtones, voicedial?) and ease of use. The other applications are so elegant, but I need my phone to be very accessible and practical too.
    My wish list:
    1) Make it fewer taps to get to the point where you can make a phone call. How about the main button can be programmed to take you wherever you want. I'd choose to go to Phone Favorites, so I could speed dial right away.
    2) Be able to set a preference as to what app you're in when you wake up the phone. I'd choose phone keypad, some might choose iCal, etc.
    3) Add the period and comma symbols to the alpha keyboard.
    4) Allow different ringtones for specific caller ID's.
    5) Copy and paste.
    V2) With new hardware, add a "back" button to return to prev. screen. It could be small, on the side near volume?

  • Missing features in Audition CS5.5

    Ok, I have been playing around intensively with Audition CS5.5 for a few weeks now. Aside from the thing that SES to SESX import did not work natively (thanks Todd, for giving me the link, although I do think that it should have been included in the software in the first place), there are some other things that bug me.
    Here's my top 4 (in order of personal importance):
    1. GROUP CLIPS
    This feature is missing. If you're working on a mix, you need to be able to move parts quickly, not risking screwing up parts that are OK. Manually selecting all clips and then moving them is timewise not very efficient. IMHO, we really shouldn't have to wait until CS6 for this feature to return...
    2. LAYOUT
    I keep hitting the vertical zoom sign whenever I want to zoom in horizontally. I use horizontal zooming much more than vertical. Of course you can use the + or - signs on the keyboard, but I find myself hitting the on-screen button time and again. In Au 3 they were in the "correct" position. And there's no way of adjusting the workspace so that I can place the buttons where I like them to be. I am so used to this on-screen layout, that I think it will take a long time to adjust to this.
    3. CLIP TIME STRETCH
    You can't drag clips to stretch them to a desired length. You do have an improved dialog for Strecth and Pitch (which I like), but you can't do it visually on the timeline.
    4. PRE-LISTEN TRACKS
    I Au 3 you could quickly sort through multiple effect tracks by pre-listening them using Auto-play in the import dialog to find that right type of swoosh you need from your sound collection. Now you can't, or you have to rely on Adobe Bridge.
    I know that the Adobe Bug Report / Feature Request form is the best way to submit these (and I frequently use that), but I'm also curious if other sound editors deal with the same problems.

    I believe no one has responded to the original post because all of these topics have been discussed in other threads since Audition CS 5.5 was released.  We absolutely appreciate knowing which missing features are most important to our users so that we can place priority toward implementing them.  While I can't divulge what features will be in Audition CS 6 at this time, I think it's safe to say that most of these requests will be satisfied.
    Regarding the layout of the Zoom buttons, it is possible to display these buttons both within the standard Editor panel (the default view) and as a separate panel which can be positioned as you like.  Click Window > Zoom in the menu bar to open this panel.

    The thread is intended to keep together a list of BT Cloud features that people would like but that are not present.  It is sometimes difficult to keep buts and missing features apart; if posting please try to keep to the 'missing features' subject.  While I can, I will edit this first post rather than adding extra posts as I add extra comments.
    BT Cloud is a new service (or a new interface to an old service) so has many missing features; with luck if we record these the team will try to get them added at some point.  I have found them very responsive on the issues with speed (even though they haven't yet managed to resolve them), and I hope they will be equally responsive here.

    I can share files but not directories.  On the Windows GUI, 'Share' is greyed out when a directory is selected.  On the web GUI, you can select 'Share', but all the options are then greyed out except 'Show Sharing History'

    Expect shift-click to select a range of files/directories.

    Also, it starts instances for ALL users ~ in many cases backup will only be required from one 'main' user.

    after clicking left button on the notification icon a secondary (nonstandard) pair of icons comes up,
    if you right-click on the left of these you get a useful menu with pause, exit and help.
    These should all appear on a right button click of the notification icon,
    and help should be available from the main screen as a button or by hitting F1.

    Backup of folders from network drive
    Don't seem to be able to select folders from a network drive to back up.
    Dones not work using either network drive directly, or via mapped drive letter.

    You will have to disregard my previous comments. It seems that when I tried to use the BT Cloud app for the first time it had not set up fully. There was no access to the help pages.
    A section by section read through the instructions shows that most features in my listing are there. Even a pause feature, and of course, being able to quit the app..
    For every day use the app seems to be fully effective.
    Other users with more advanced demands may find some problems.
    The demands on the Windows 7 operating system are low, using little processing time and only a minor RAM usage.

  • My list of missing features

    Ok, some are repeats:
    PivotTables and Grouping.
    Although I'm no scientist or engineer, missing those two key features is frustrating.
    Another thing I find missing is summaries within the graphs themselves. And especially auto-update. Right now to get that to work I can drag my series to include the footer, but then it includes the footers value into my chart. In Excel, the tables know when you've added an additional row and adds that to the chart. I mostly use trend graphs, so having to go back to each chart and update the selection is very tedious. Or having the Sum value at the end throw off the averages I'm trying to trend. Nothing like having a bunch of values around 2-3 or 20-30 over an average and then a huge 10k number at the end to make the rest unreadable.
    While I may just be missing how to do this, but I don't see any easy way of bringing data in from another workbook.
    I know this one is a little silly, but clipart. I love the idea of iPhoto integration (and Aperature) it's only a shame I use LightRoom but at the same time, I'm a photographer, so why would I have little silly clipart's in my DAM system? It would be nice to have a clipart gallery that's separate from iPhoto that can be accessed through all the iWork programs.
    Another thing, Data Validation. Either in the form of verifying data is within a certain range or doesn't exceed a set amount, to creating lists.
    Oh, and a Divide function. Why can't this ever be easy? lol I know you can just us / but they have a Quotient function, but it only rounds to whole numbers and then MOD which does the remainder, why not just a simple function for both?
    And password protection.
    Yes, I know it's just a 1.0.0 release, and I think it's pretty good for a start, but I do think it's a little premature and hopefully not going to follow the XBox trap of ruining itself before it's supposed to be released. However, the same things happened with Aperature and Apple was quick to address many of those issues. So here's to ditching Office for good . . . just not yet.

    Another missing feature, automatically filling in formulas when a new row is created. For instance, say you have 3 columns, 1 + 2 = 3. In Office 2004, when I add a new row, that formula is automatically inserted. It's just one of those nice little time saving features that would be nice.

    what willbe correct way of finding if this is same solution feature waring ? and how to correctly it so as future upgrades don't fail.

    I disabled feature ID's which were showing up(noted earlier ) in  error for test site collection first using Disable-SPFeature –Identity ID of feature –url http://sitecollection name –Confirm:$false
    later retracted solution .
    reanalyzed rule. The errors  referring to testsite collection DB are gone.
    do i need to verify anything else? or can i go ahead deplou solution back and then run disable-SPFeature on rest of live site collectiosn as well?

  • Error while Upgrading to 9.2.0.8

    I'm trying to upgrade my current version of oracle "9.2.0.1" which is running on a Solaris box, to "9.2.0.8" not able to succeed.

    You need to apply Patchset 4547809 firstI'm not sure to follow you, the patchset 4547809 is
    Oracle 9.2.0.8 which Sunil wants to apply on his/her
    database, the thread's title is "Error while
    Upgrading to 9.2.0.8", isn't it ?
    If you goto 9.2.0.8 patchset download page, you will see all three patchset listed, there's a good chance Sunil mistakenly download the catch-up patchset instead of the full set. My purpose is to clarify the situation.
    At least he didn't mention Patchset Number.

    Patchset 4547809 first, the 415M onePatchset 4547809 is 415M for 64-bits, which seems not
    be used here (the Banner doesn't contains "64bit
    Production"), it's 352Mb for 32-bits. But I maybe
    missed something else.

    N. GasparottoHe didn't mention 64bit but that he didn't mention 32-bit either. Not many Solaris is still under 32bit per se.
    Again my purpose to have him post Patchset Number used, then we will have clear picture and rule out some assumption.

  • Pages' Missing Features

    I think there's still a number of features that make Pages for iPad inferior to using a word processor (say, OpenOffice) on a netbook, which is disappointing because I'd really love to get rid of my netbook and just use my iPad and external keyboard.
    Key missing features: word count (I know you've heard that before); command-i/u/b for italics, underline, and bold; some way to resize text on the screen without changing the font, ala OpenOffice showing the document at 150% or whatever. (Documents 2 Go does this with pinch-and-zoom and reflow. Pages does not reflow the text to fit the screen when you zoom in, so you can't actually work with it.)
    Another important feature I'd like to see, that both Documents 2 Go and QuickOffice have, is integration with document syncing services like DropBox. That's actually a huge thing; on my netbook, dropbox syncs my files every time I save automatically, without me having to think about it, while currently on pages I have to drag the files onto my computer with iTunes, which is night and day in terms of ease-of-use.
    Finally, if you could include OpenOffice open document compatibility, that would be amazing.
    Right now, Pages still has a superior writing experience to Documents 2 Go and QuickOffice, despite D2G's latest update. If you included the above features you would kill the competition completely and make it so that the iPad could be a real word processing replacement device.
