Missing Format Text, Insert, and Edit Source, etc Options on Some Pages

I’m having trouble understanding why certain pages have more edit options than others. I’m new to Sharepoint Workspace 2010 and I’ve been reading/ researching for answers for 2 days now. I tried to HyperSnap in some pictures however it will not allow me
to until my account is verified and it's not sending a verification email, sorry!
Issue:
On some pages, I have the edit pencil with lots of great edit options such as Format Text, Insert and Edit Source. (This is good!)
On some pages I have no edit pencil, but when I go to Page
à Edit Page à I get few edit options, not including Format Text, Insert or Edit Source. (This is not good)
After reading other somewhat similar posts, I noticed that on the pages where I get lots of edit options, they show SitePages in the URL. Where I get few edit options, SitePages is not in the URL.
Is there a fix so that I can have the expanded edit options in all of my pages? Thank you for your help!

In SharePoint we don’t have edit page options [ribbon toolbar page edit formatting options] for all types of page for application page we cannot edit application page like site pages
again the missing edit button might be due to many causes:
Can you verify that it's not a permissions issue? Try navigating to the page in edit mode by appending to the url: your-site/Pages/YourPage.aspx?ControlMode=Edit&DisplayMode=Design
Or you can try this
your-site/Pages/YourPage.aspx? ?ToolPaneView=2
1. You can check that on some pages the ribbon is hidden by default. You need to make it visible by clicking on "Show Ribbon" on the "Site Actions" drop-down menu.
2. You haven't been doing Visual Upgrade (which actually replaces your master page with the v4.master)
3. If you have different master page and may be your master page is not 100% compatibile with SP2010, nor does it use the elements from v4.master (collaboration) or the example nightandday.master
To add the button in your page you could use the <SharePoint:PageStateActionButton id="PageStateActionButton" runat="server" Visible="false" /> (if you've seen already that would generate the button on the left side of
the ribbon)!

Quick way to format text cut and pasted from a web browser into Pages?

I work a lot by cutting and pasting text from web browsers into my word processor.
When I was using Word, I had built a very useful macro that allowed me to re-format the font, font size, colour, line spacing etc, as well as to remove hyperlinks, all by pressing one keyboard shortcut.
Is this possible in Pages? I've tried Paste and Match Style, and Paste Paragraph Style, but they only seem to solve half the problems.
Surely this must be a common problem? I've had a look in the discussion forums, but can't find anything...

I'm not having any trouble deleting links. Click on View > Show Invisibles. If there's a space following the link, put your cursor to the right side of the space, click, then drag to the left so that you highlight the link. Then just hit delete.
Or, if you want to have a web or email address in your copy without it being a live link, highlight it, then click on the Link inspector > Hyperlink button > and UNcheck +Enable As Hyperlink+.

TextArea with formatted Text, Hyperlinks, and clickable Text with SWING?

Ok if I decide to use Swing, is there any TextArea which supports Formatted Text Hyperlinks AND clickable Text wich calls a callback routine??? I think formatted Text and Hyperlinks are possible with JTextArea and the RTF editorKit, but clickable text, in order to controll the program in some way???
Could anyone help me?

In order to realize callback functions I have to insert a HTML-Anchor with the Attribute as the Parameter for my method. Then my HyperlinkListener catches the HyperlinkEvent and the hyperlinkUpdate method reminds the parameter!
Is that right?

It's important to note that no matter how you get equations into iBA, all equations are represented as MathML in the published iBook. (except, obviously I hope, equations that are simply images that you insert)

How view and edit source code before publish to iWeb

How does one change the source code in iWeb before it is published so that such a change as he did works in opening a blog page?

I could as easily edited the iWeb slideshow.html page but I wanted to test the features of the newer slide show.
The page was uploaded to my .Mac account (iDisk) and then copied to my Desktop. I edited the images to reduce their file size and edited the page code and reposted the entire thing (drag and drop) in my iDisk Sites (Homepage) folder.
The page was to test the features of the new javascript slide show and is S&G stuff.
Being a dial-up user (very slow) I wanted to give the value of the new slide show without the added bloat of the new iWeb software.
Here is the iWeb version with the same music code pasted into the slideshow.html page:

Once the first page loads completely a viewer can click on the "Start Slideshow" button and view the images and listen to very bad MIDI music.
Simple copy/paste of some object and embed tag code using Text Edit (set to plain text).
So. I'll make some slide show pages using iWeb and add a bit of simple code and then repost the page at my Homepage site.
Less bloat. More filling!

Best format to import and edit?

So, I'm using Premiere Pro CS6, and am quite new to video editing. The only editing program I have experience with is Final Cut Pro 10, which I have been told that .mov files are the best formats to import into that program. However, I'm not sure what format is optimal for Premiere Pro CS6, provided there even is one. Also, is there a "better" format to use when exporting your video (the video will be uploaded to YouTube).

Inserting and editing commands

I have an problem with adobe after effects cs4, I can't edit the comands like in this picture
So I cant write the commands like in this picture and the expression slider has no spiral to move to channels edhe slider control

It's hard to tell with a question like this whether you know the basics and are hung up on a detail, or whether you don't know the basics. This makes it hard to answer your question.
I'm going to assume that your problem is that you don't know how to add and edit expressions. So, I'll direct you to read "Add, edit, and remove expressions". Or perhaps you'll get off to a better start by watching the video by Chris and Trish Meyer linked to from this page: "Expression basics"

Insert and Edit NEW text not working

hi guys,
I would like to insert a new text. I thought i could use the touch-out tool but i can´t don´t know why. I did it with the typewriter tool. So the text is this
now i try to change the font type but i can´t. I do not get the Typeface Menu as the Acrobat Help says.

Indeed i do get it in the original PDF text but not in the new one.
I made a PDF from InDesign, i don´t have the original file with me now but i suposse i can edit the resulting PDF. I am reading Adobe online help but doesn´t work. I have Acrobat Pro 8.
Any help or ideas?

thanks for the good info CtDave. I thought that even Acrobat 8 Pro would let me introduce a text and change its font type without too much trouble. I see that i can change the font style from the original pdf texts but NOT from new inserted text. For i moment i thought it was something related to the PDF Security or Editting settings but that is not the case since there is no restrictions.
I guess i will keep trying to see what is wrong just for the learning process

Can I open .ai file w/ text editor and edit linked file path?

I want to relink a placed file in a lot of illustrator files to a new file with a different name. I've tried setting up various actions but it is not doing what I need. If I open the file in a text editor such as Notepad++ or Text Wrangler, I can find the linked file path in two places, if I edit this path and save the file (still with .ai extension) I thought the link would change, but when I reopen the file, it does not change. Any ideas?
If I make an action to relink a file, the action will only place a new file but not replace the old one. I also can't get it to place into a specific layer.

CSS files are plain text with no links, so what you see is all there is.
In order to apply CSS to HTML, you need a <link> tag in your HTML.
If you install the Web Developer Extension from the Firefox add-ons site, there is a handy "Edit CSS" sidebar that lets you play with style rules and see the effects live. Note that this pane is not saved, so if you switch tabs, you lose your changes. Make sure to copy out any changes you want to remember.

Insert and edit screen shots in RH

I am using RoboHelp HTML 6 to write a help document which
requires lot of images.
I am reluctant about the imaging part as I really don't know
what would be the best way to insert the images in RH. I have these
options - Using Word or Paint of then RH screen Capture and Resize
tools.
I am quite use to of using Word because prior to using RH I
was using Word for writing the document and this is how I was
working with the screenshots in the Word document:
I would take the screen shot of Web application, save it in
the Paint as jpeg file, insert the jpeg file in Word and further
more add an arrow and a text box on that screen shot in Word and
make it as a group for easy to move. There are times; I would also
resize the screen shot in Word by selecting the screen shot and
dragging the image resize handle, located at the lower-right
corner.
Please, can anybody who deals with lots of images in RH can
guide me.

side of RoboHelp HTML? If not, you will probably be pleasantly
surprised to see that RoboScreenCapture (RSC) has a home there. RSC
offers all of what you are looking for at a VERY attractive price.

Assamble , insert , and edit to tape whith blackmagic.

Hello , I have a macpro 5.1 with mavericks , 20 gb of ram and premier 2014 .
When I do an insert or assamble , always gets 2 black frames. Change the offset in device options but still the same
When edit to tape, the premier after 10 minutes or so , closes or freezes the video.
I have all applications closed and disconnected from the network.

check on your audio / video settings that there isn't a tick beside 'different output for print to video' on the AV devices tab

Missing occasional texts to and from android users

I Have discovered that one android user has not been receiving some of my texts. About 2/5 will say sent but will never arrive to recipient. I tested varying lengths of texts and content (emojis, pictures) and could not find any discernible pattern.
Then I discovered that occasionally texts from a different android user would say sent from their phone, but never arrive at mine.
I do not have iMessage turned, recently or currently, nor did either of the android users have iMessage turned on on any previous phones.
AS far as I know, there are only two phones I'm having issues communicating with, but it is very hard to determine whether myself or other are NOT receiving texts for obvious reasons.
THis his problem does seem to have only begun when I updated my operating system to 8.1.3.
Someone please help me, this is getting really confusing. I've tried searching both Apple and android forums and habe not found any solutions yet.

Another option to try for thses sorts of issues is a Reset.
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Manual Chapter Marker Insert and Edit

The dragging and dropping of chapter markers is nice feature. However, is there a way to just enter the chapter markers manually by typing them in through a window of some sort. I know where all my chapter markers generally need to go. It would go a lot faster if I could just rapidly type them in and then use drag and drop to adjust as need be. The track pad is not very well suited for large numbers of markers.
In fact, is there a way to manually edit the location of a marker so I don't have drag it around.
And if this feature doesn't exist, why not?
