Missing GPS data after Publish to Flickr

Hi, I'm using a GPS Geotagger with my D3.
In LR3.2 I can see GPS data correctly in my metadata.
I then publish photos to Flickr using th built in LR publishing service.
When I check the metadata in Flickr there is no associated GPS info in the EXIF data.
I haven't got anything checked like 'minimize embedded metadata'
Anyone have this working or is it a known problem?
Thanks
Bill

1/ to answer your question:
I don't have any user generated tags/kewords/captions on these historical pictures - but normal metadata (camera EXIF data) is showing up fine on flickr.
2/ I went ahead and tried Jeffery Friedl's Flickr Lightroom publishing plugin - it works well and GPS data is correctly picked up by Flickr.
so - unless anyone can demonstrate a working adobe flickr publishing setup with gps data I will assume it doesn't work and continue to use jeffery's.
Thanks
Bill

  • Video import: missing GPS data

Imported several videos from an iPhone 4 into LR 4.2, but there seems to be no GPS data after the import although the video files include GPS metadata: On the iPhone all videos are placed on the map of iOS 6, but missing on Lightrooms own map feature.
Any solution? Imported to the HD both from inside LR and the import feature of OS X Mountain Lion.
Additional problem: the video capture time is shifted by 2 h.
    Importing simple pictures works flawless.
    Thanks!

LR's support for video metadata is incomplete and buggy.  Please add your vote and opinion to this topic in the official Adobe feedback forum: Lightroom: LR4 Beta: Metadata applied to videos in Lightroom isn't available in other applications.

  • Loosing GPS Data after exporting from Lightroom 5

    Hello,
When I export my pics from lightroom 5 to import to iphoto,
I loose the GPS data after the import into iphoto.
I like Iphoto because of the icloud, so I don't want to move everything
    to LR5.
Is there anyway to save the GPS data or am I doing something wrong?
I am using the latest version of Iphoto.
    Thanks!

Not really sure? I exported the pics after editing, but did not mess with the meta data or anything.
Am I suppossed to do something to export the data, and then import into Iphoto?
    Thanks!

  • Crystal Reports return no data after publish to Infoview.

    *Description of Problem or Question:
Reports defined in Crystal report client do not work correctly when published to Infoview.
When report run from client, correct data is returned. When run from Infoview, no or limited data is returned.
The problem is new since installation of Service Pack 3 fixpack 3.5.
We are using the SAP Integration kit.
    Product\Version\Service Pack\Fixpack (if applicable):
BOBJ XI 3.1 SP3, FP 3.5 (Including Integration kit transports)
Relevant Environment Information (OS & version, java or .net & version, DB & version):
Windows 2003 64-Bit, Java, Linking to SAP ECC6 on MAXDB 7.6
    Sporadic or Consistent (if applicable):
Consistent, altough 1st refresh returns data, subsequent refresh returns no rows or few rows.
What has already been tried (where have you searched for a solution to your question/problem):
We have searched SAP Marketplace for OSS notes but none match our problem.
    Steps to Reproduce (if applicable):
Create report in Crystal Reports - publish to Infoview
Install BOBJ XI 3.1 SP3 and FP 3.5
Refresh report in infoview - shows limited or no data
Open report in Crystal Reports 2008 Client, refresh data - returns correct data.
Save Cystal report to Infoview, refresh data in infoview (scheduled or online) - returns incorrect or no data.

    Hello,
this is interesting. Check your CR Server settings if there are any limits with regards to rows or timeouts after the installation of FP3.5
If your CR reports are running on a Universe, check the properties of the Universe if there are limitations affected to the rows.
If this all brings no result i would highly recommend to open a Support Message at SAP - maybe thats a Bug coming with FP3.5

  • Missing location data when exporting to Flickr

I am running Yosemite on a new MacBook Pro using the latest version of iPhoto. I noticed that the location data (Places) which I painfully added in to each photo does not translate over when I export to Flickr. Everything else translates with no issues. I use the Share function directly from iPhoto application, not using a 3rd party app. I've use this method of export/sharing for years and location data has not been an issue before.

    Hi Sumit
Try to set the URL field with the RTF format. To do this try following:
    1. Right click the field->Format Field.
    2. Click the paragraph tab->Text Interpretation->RTF Text
    Now try to export it.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Nikhil

  • "Add Link" missing from Calendar after publishing sharepoint page

The "Add Link" is missing from Calendar when I publish the page. While in the edit mode, I can see the "Add Link" option. I also made sure I have the right view mode set for the calendar. I am using SharePoint 2013.

    Hi,
I assume you are adding calendar web part to a page.
Please click somewhere in the Calendar web part and check if Events/Calendar tab appears, and try to add new event. If you highlight one box in the calendar, could you see the +Add as below:

  • GPS data lost in Aperture 3.0.3 created .psd file

I shooting RAW with a Nikon D700 and GPS unit. The GPS data shows up in Aperture 3.0.3, but when "Edit with Adobe Photoshop CS5" is selected in the Photos menu, the resultant .psd file has no GPS data.
If I import into CS5 with Adobe Camera Raw, the GPS data does go into the .psd file.
Tried this with two different GPS devices incase there was something odd about the GPS data.
    Suggestions?

Thanks Rick. That got the data into CS5. Unfortunately, CS5 sees longitude 121.9 W as 121.9 E, and is putting California's Bixby Bridge in the Yellow Sea off the China coast. I'm guessing that CS5 is looking for negative sign in front of the 121.9. I don't know if that is Aperture's fault, or CS5's fault. I've usually seen west longitude written with a minus sign. So, expecting other apps to understand the "W" maybe expecting too much.
Another GPS problem I'm having with Aperture is when publishing to Flickr. Although I've enabled export of location info in the preferences, when Aperture publishes to Flickr, no GPS data is seen by Flickr.

  • LR4: Export to Flickr removes GPS data

I've just uploaded a picture to my Flickr photostream from within Lightroom 4 release version (Win 7 64 bit). I geotagged the picture in Lightroom's new Maps module and the image shows GPS co-ordinates in the Metadata panel in the Library module.
The photo on flickr has no GPS data and does not appear on the map in Flickr. I've downloaded the original version of the picture from Flickr and opened in the GeoSetter tool, which confirms that no GPS data is embedded in the JPEG file.
In Lightroom 4's "Publish Services" section Flickr does not have the "Remove Location Info" setting ticked under metadata.
Does anyone have any ideas of anything I can try?
    Many thanks
    Tom
EDIT: I've just tried to export a picture using the normal export button in the Library module. In this dialog box "Remove Location Info" was ticked. I unticked it and exported and can confirm that GPS data is successfully stored in this image. It just doesn't seem to get to Flickr using the built-in publishing service for some reason.

Update.  I went to manually add GPS data in Flickr and realized LR4 did upload the data correctly, but until I clicked on the map in Flickr it didn't seem to "activate".  I had to do it for each image.  Very odd integration.
This seems to be the best I can do, too.
    To be clear:
When publishing from LR4 to Flickr, the GPS data appears to get stripped.  When I view the picture in my photostream, the map on the right looks blank.  If I open the photo in the Flickr "Organize & Create" area, the Latitude and Longitude dialogue boxes are empty.  HOWEVER, if I go back and view the photo in my photostream, then click on the map to add a location, the enlarged map shows the photo in the correct spot.  If I click Save Location from here, the Latitidue and Longitude are saved correctly and all is well.
I get exactly the same behavior if I export from LR4 to my hard drive and then upload from my hard drive to Flickr.

  • After importing images from my card using LR 5.4, the GPS data does not show in the metadata panel. However, when I look at the imported images using Bridge, the GPS data is visible. Anybody know why LR is not seeing the GPS data? Camera is Canon 6D.

After importing images from my card using LR 5.4, the GPS data does not show in the metadata panel. However, when I look at the imported images using Bridge, the GPS data is visible. Anybody know why LR is not seeing the GPS data? Camera is Canon 6D.

Ok, the issue seem to be solved. The problem was this:
The many hundred files (raw and xmp per image) have been downloaded by ftp in no specific order. Means - a couple of files in the download queue - both raw and xmps. Most of the time, the small xmp files have been finished loading first and hence the "last change date" of these xmp files was OLDER than the "last change date" of the raw file - Lightroom then seem to ignore the existence of the xmp file and does not read it during import.(a minute is enough to run into the problem)
By simply using the ftp client in a way that all large raw files get downloaded first followed by the xmp files, we achieved that all "last changed dates" of the xmp files are NEWER than the related raw files. (at least not older)
And then LR is reading them and all metadata information has been set / read correctly.
    So this is solved.

  • Missing data after server restart

    Hi,
We restarted our MDM server at the OS level last night. Everything seemed okay after the restart. However, when our users came in this morning, they found that some data was missing from a table. We have a Material repository with 3 main tables. Some data which have previously been populated was not appearing in our Products Detail table, the largest of the three. A large number of rows in the table had columns that failed to load with data on the repository auto-start that occured after the server restart. The auto start value in the mds.ini file was set at 300 (5 minutes) as we had seen this iisue happen once before, and thought that may help.
A stop and restart of the repository corrected the issue. Is there anything we could have done to prevent this? Is it worthwhile to try increasing the auto start delay again? Validating detail data after every server restart is not an effective option.
    MDM version: 7.1 SP08
    OS: AIX  DB: Oracle 11g
    Thanks!
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
I meant that when you load repository using Immediate data is loaded from .acl files (accelerator files) in a async manner.
Whereas when you load by Update Indices new acl files are generated.
Below men6tioned is a comparision between the 2 ways of laoding repository:
    Load Repository Immediate
o Loads indexes from accelerator files instead of being regenerated by reading the data them from the DB and creating the index.
o Automatically builds indexes stored in out-of-date accelerator files.
    o Is usually fast.
 Load Repository with Update Indices
o Rebuilds all MDM indexes files by reading and indexing data stored in the DB. The results are flushed on disk as accelerator files.
o Necessary by repository schema changes or if any error occurs.
o Might take significant amount of time to complete.
So when you observe some visual data impact in your repository it is good idea to rebuild indexes.
I guess we cannot schedule this as default behavior is to load by immediate even through the inin parameter.
as a best practice one can do this by fixing a time frame eg monthly depending on data/schema changes.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Cap6 Missing slides after publishing

Hi.  Captivate 6 (with latest patch) is failing to publish all slides in a course. With each republish, different slide are skipped. Note that this same course file published successfully about a month ago. The only difference then was that the project did NOT use a playbar - it had custom back and next buttons. Buttons have been removed and the default playbar is now in use.
There are only 15 slides. The number of slides that show up after publishing varies each time.
After one publish, I was able to back into the missing slide - then it disappeared again.
    Project specifics:
publishing to SWF (tried both Flash 10 and 11)
    no audio
no other imports (such as PowerPoint slides)
contains a few simple advanced actions (show/hide)
    contains a name variable
    uses animation effects
    No slides are Hidden.
    there is no branching.
    ...what else?
Assuming the file was corrupted - I started a new project from scratch, just copying the objects and master slides to the new project - exact same thing happened in the newly created project.  I also tried using different playbar themes.  Nothing is working. Help?

Are you working on project files stored locally on your hard drive?
Are you on a corporate network with roaming profiles or virtual My Documents folders?
Are you always using Force Republish All Slides when publishing?
