Missing Icons and Controls

I have
Sync TOC and
Print in the Nav Bar and Main panes, respectively, on the
Toolbar tab of the WebHelp (v7) Skin Editor. However, they don't
show up when I Generate Primary Layout and View Result. Can someone
tell me why?

For starters, keep in mind that what you see in the editor
reflects every conceivable option being enabled. What you actually
get depends on your settings. So you probably need to step through
the dialogs when generating.

Missing icons and little triangles

Hello all. All of a sudden, I don't see the icons in my dock when I have opened and am running an application; also, the little triangle isn't showing up under the resident icons (like iTunes, which is running while I am typing this message) for programs while they are running. Must have been something I did, but what? Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Well; problem solved, though I don't know how.
You are quite right--I was referring to the little "indicators", whether triangles or blue dots or ice cream cones--forgive my aging eyes--in any event they, along with the icons for running applications were missing from the dock. BUT, I restarted the system, and everything seems to be back as it should be. Don't know what happened, though. If it was a Windows machine, of course I would know it was just one of this morning's 16 random Windows burps, but my Mac?? Thanks.

Missing icons and stylesheet in webreport

When I execute a report on the web it doesn't load the stylesheet and can't find the icons.
I've checked the MIME repository and I can see that both the stylesheet and icons exist. We are running on 3.x version 6.40 support package 22.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Did you also check the Windows Accessibility settings?
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Missing Icons and colors

NX6600GT-TD128E GeForce 6600 GT PCI Express
I have had this card for several months now and it was working fine. However, recently it has developed a problem where some colors and icons do not appear on the desktop. I would figure this was a driver or software problem of some kind - however, this problem developed without changing drivers or any software on the system.
Has anyone experienced this kind of problem?

Without any specs on your comp, about all I can suggest would be to try Driver Cleaner and then install the latest nVidia ForceWare Drivers.
If that does not work, give a Frest Install of whatever OS you are using a shot.

Cannot setup personal email; missing icons and setup options

OK, I just recieved a used (although wiped) Blackberry Curve 8310. I'm super frustrated with trying to set up my personal email address. I'm college educated and pretty intelligent, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get my Gmail account to run directly from my **bleep** smartphone, without having to resort to Google's Gmail app.
I've tried to follow a lot of the online documentation, the user manual, etc., but the contents of my phone deviate from that of the intructions. For example, Google's instructions for setting up IMAP on your Blackberry instruct you to go into the Blackberry Setup >> Personal Email Setup. Personal Email Setup does not exist on my Blackberry, only the option to set up enterprise email. Fail.
Blackberry's own site instructs the user to either click on the Email Setup icon on the home screen (don't have said icon) or run the setup wizard and select "I want to create or add an email address" (no such option exists in the setup wizard, just an option that reads "I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server.") Fail x2.
Further, I've set up my Gmail account through the Blackberry site, but apparently that didn't do much of anything. Fail x3. I've also then sent "service books" to my device in desparation. Fail x4.
I've also gone into Advanced Options >> Host Routing Table >> Register Now, and I've waited over an hour to something... anything good to happen. Again, I've been disappointed. Fail x5.
I'm running the Blackberry OS 4.5. I'd like just like the ability to use native, basic email.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
As per the above, you likely do not have an adequate data plan from your carrier. Contact them to find out about gaining a data plan from them that will enable the Personal Email option on that screen. Or -- if you indeed already are setup by your company for Enterprise email, it may be that they restrict the use of personal email accounts on corporate BBs.

Hard reset, now missing icons and weird

I just removed battery to put in sd card and when it came back on the screen was all black and white and some of the icons have only ? marks where they used to be. Emails, contacts and #'s are still there, but icons have bugged out and background is all white. Any help??

You need to re-install the software for this device.
Go here to get the one specific for your carrier - bottom of page. (make sure u download the latest one for the device - usually the first one on the list for ur model)

Thunar is missing icons, and generally ugly. Help?[SOLVED]

So I just set up Arch yesterday, and am using thunar. But the icons in thunar are very... limited. Take a look at my screenshot. As it is, I can't tell the difference between folders and files. Anyone mind telling me what I'm doing wrong?

You probably need to install hicolor-icon-theme for your icons.
As for the uglyness you need to tell gtk to use a theme. You can use lxappearance to set the gtk theme, icon set, and other settings. You will probably have to go to http://gnome-look.org and pick out a them that you like. I personally like Murrina Gilouche.

I have some troubles at the moment, so
iChat 3.1.5
1. In my ICQ account:
I cant add some of the buddys in my address book. But i can add them in .mac account. Saw some posts incl. http://www.aptr36.dsl.pipex.com/page13.html but the problem remains. Im trying to find iChat prefs file to erase it, but cant find it.
2. In my both personal ICQ and .mac accounts:
I cant see /Windows/ ICQ user icons /theirs/.
3. In my personal .mac account:
I cant see /Windows/ ICQ users online status and theirs own icons.

Hi ipitar,
The Buddy list is kept on the AIM servers.
Those that you add Address card info to ("Real Names") get added to the Address Book as well.
Feedbag error 14 should be solved with the Feedbag 10 solution of Adding a group to your Buddy list called "Buddies"
And/Or setting up a different Address Card info for them, so that there is no conflict with their existing Address Book entry.
The error list page on page 13 also points to making sure the Buddy is allowing you to Add their name. (Authorisation)
@mac names are obviously held on the Mac servers but there is a Link to the AIM servers to allow them to appear on your Budy List.
As I said earlier iChat requires that port 5190 needs to be open to both UDP protocols.
This applies not only to the Mac Firewall but in the modem and any router.
IF, however, you have a device that Port Forwards AND wants the protocol info then you may have a conflict there.
The solution is to change the Login port in iChat to 443 (iChat > Preferences > Accounts > Server Settings tab) and disable any TCP setting for 5190 in the modem.

Missing icons and UI elements (10.8.2)

After a reboot yesterday, some UI elements are not drawing correctly, including in the menu bar, system preferences and even non-apple apps.
This only occurs on my current user account. Making a fresh user resolves the problem. I have tried clearing user caches (~/Library/Caches), system caches (/Library/Caches, /tmp, /private/var/folders) and have not been able to resolve the issue. I am also experiencing crashes when trying to preview an image in Preview.app:
Any ideas about this? Anyone experiencing a similar issue? I have had one other friend also experience similar problems with a dfiferent configuration (although still a retina screen).

I am not doubting that it is a bug. I have already filed an issue on apple's bugreporter system, but felt that making this thread may also be helpful for others having a similar problem and possibly help find a solution.
I have no intention of moving my data to another user and will wait until a solution is found or apple posts a fix.

HT4623 SOMEHOW the icon for rotation lock is missing from the control bar. I tried to reset but my passcode doesn't work. First, how do I find my passcode? Then, if I reset, will it return the rotation lock to the control bar?

I don't know how it happened why, but the icon for rotation lock is missing from the control bar. Second problem, the passcode for my iPad isn't working. I wrote it down, so not sure what the problem is. HELP

If the setting for the rotation lock is missing it is because you are using the side switch to control the rotation in Settings>General>Use Side Switch to>Lock Rotation. The software switch in the control center should be for Muting system sounds.

iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong ...
If you are sure that you are entering the correct passcode, reboot the iPad and then try again and see if it is accepted.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

How can I separate the "Icons and Text" of the browser control buttons (Back, Forward, etc.) from the Icons on the Add-on toolbar?

At home, this is not an issue. I don't know why it's different here at work--same installation, same settings (as far as I can tell).

I have a NoScript add-on icon in the corner, which works fine. If I add a GreaseMonkey icon from the Customize menu, the "Icon and Text" appears for that icon, like the Icon and Text from the browser controls (Home, stop, etc). Other add-on icons also show Icon and Text (S4E, for instance). NoScript is the only one I've found so far which collapses down to just an Icon.
This leads to the status (add-on) bar having a much larger height than I like. Essentially what I want is for only the Icon to appear in the Status bar (Add-on toolbar), while keeping Icons and Text in the Browser controls. My current workaround is simply removing the other add-on icons from the status (add-on) toolbar, but that takes away the ease of toggling and setting options.
Please tell me if I can provide you with anything else, and thanks for your help.

Surely there must be some UserChrome.css that will solve this problem. Something like this:
