Missing icons on the buttons in Safari, Finder, Preview

Hi all,
I'm running Mountain Lion 10.8.3, MBP 15" 2012, full updates. How to resolve this prolem? Reboot is checked, but not help.
Please, see images:

I fixed my problem:
1) I used "sudo rm /private/var/vm/sleepimage" to delete the sleepimage file
2) I used "sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 1" to force safe sleep when I close the lid and/or choose sleep from the apple menu
3) Booted from safe sleep and confirmed it was working as expected.
4) To go back to regular safe sleep mode (i.e. do not engage safe sleep unless the battery goes dead) using "sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3"

Missing manual bar and all the buttons on safari

For some reason, some of my manual bar missing on the left side, and the buttons of Safari are all missing the writings, and all the simple in the finder side bar are missing!!!!

It's a pre-installed app and therefore cannot be deleted so you may have inadvertently moved it onto a screen or into a folder, check the utilities folder as this is a common one for it to disappear into. Check all screens and folders and do a search in Spotlight, it will tell you if the app it still on your iPhone but unfortunately not where it is. If you find it on one or your screens or in a folder, press the icon until it wiggles and then drag it back to where you want it. Alternatively you can reset your home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

Custom button goes missing after click the button in Customer Master

I have one query regarding Custom tab button in Custome MAster.I have implemented BAdIs using CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS and CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA to match my requirment.
Query:
While click the custom button(which i have created in Customer Master) , the subscreen is displayed but the Custom Button is missing.Where in Standard Buttons like 'GENERAL DATA' and 'COMPANY CODE DATA' Std buttons in Customer master Etc. buttons going to disable mode while click these button in custome mastar.
Is there any OSS notes to implement OR we required to set up some PF status to match above requirment.
Please let me know.

If I follow you, no. That's the way it works. The buttons are composited with the background so become part of it. I'd rethink the design.
Basically, you don't want the highlights to determine the color of unselected buttons. You'll always have fringes and jaggies. Having a non-transparent color set for the unselected state kind of does what you want, but won't look the best.

To change the icons, you could call navbar's setButtonIcon method like:
navbar.setButtonIcon(EXECUTE_BUTTON, myIcon);
To remove/hide a button group you could call one of the
setHas...Button methods (setHasInsertButton, setHasDeleteButton, setHasTransactionButtons, setHasFindButton...) THX Sathish, but my problem is that i want to use the Buttons without the Icons!!

How do I put application icons on the desktop in simple finder?

The Simple Finder would be a lot simpler if I could put icons to open applications on the desktop instead of buried in a folder. Is there any way to do that? I'm sure there must be, but I can't find it. If I click and hold on one of the icons in the applications folder, it just opens.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Upgraded to FF9.0.1 and the "Firefox Button" disappeared. If I start in FF-safemode it comes back. If I manually disable all "Extensions" it is still missing. When the button is missing I get the "File" toolbar. Using FF9 on W7-64b.

Yes Ideato you are correct. It was just the "Menu Bar" selection. I am ashamed to say it took me quite a while to find that. But I did not find an answer in all the searches that I did. I would mark this as "Solved" but I do not see any way to do that. I can mark it as Helpful or post a reply but those are the only options I see.

Itunes 9 had application management for my Iphone, i can not find it in itunes 10 and a lot of the writing such as check for updates does not show up, only the button is there

Using linux, the default icon for the bookmarks menu button is quite ugly. Is there a way to change the icon for the button with some code in userChrome.css ?

After several intents, I found a solution.
This is my userChrome.css file:

You need to set the virtaul path of the directory that
containsthe gif filles in the listener configuration
example n:\myapps\gif\ /web_gifs/
then in the registry of the application server
for FORMS50_PATH add n:\myapps\gif

The only new icons you can add to your home screen are webclips, which can be added by using the "+" button in safari on the desired web page.
You won't be able to add new apps until February when the SDK is fully seeded to developers.

Corrupt File names & missing icons

I have three networked macs. 2 running 10.5.2 and one running 10.4.11. All of them access a LACIE network drive. The leopard macs show some folders with corrupt names. The tiger mac has no problem. The leopard macs have many files showing the gray missing icon. The 10.4.11 mac again shows all icons. This appeared to happen with the update from 10.5.1 to 10.5.2.

did you find a solution? am having same problem with leopard 'converting' all file names with symbols [*/ etc] to strange new names. the macs with 10.4 still see names as they should be. any tips?
