Missing images and other content

I'm having problems with my site I created in iWeb. It will publish fine with no errors, but when I visit my site in Safari or Firefox different images will not appear and have ? in them. If I refresh, some images will then appear and others will not. When I click on links to different pages the same thing happens different images have ? in them. If I refresh then I get different images not appearing. Sometimes it will even take me to a page on the apple site saying that the page cannot be found. This is very frustrating. My site is www.tutordigital.net (which takes you to my site published with iWeb on my Mobile Me account).
I would really like some help to solve this problem. Thanks!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You web site is complete. It's the server that's not loading all files every time. It took me several tries to get the first page loaded completely and then the other pages were all OK.
You name on the TUTOR page is on two lines. You might want to enlarge that text box.
If this site is a commercial site and important as far as income flow I suggest you host the site on a commercial site. You'll get much better speed, bandwidth and support - actual ear-to-ear with a live person. If it's not loading well on Safari it will be much worse with Internet Explorer.
One thing you can do to help the site load faster is to use Web Site Maestro to optimize your files and upload them. Roddy and I both use it. I host on MobileMe. It has reduced the size of many of my pages by up to 30-35 percent. It will also upload only those files that have been changed or new.
Roddy uses Host Excellence and is very happy with it. Others have responded favorably regarding GoDaddy.com. It's something to consider depending on the nature of your site.

  • Jdeveloper visual editor do not show images and other component shapes

I used jdeveloper(10.1.3.3.0) to create an ADF BC application, I create a jsf jsp file and drag and drop components from ADF Faces Core to this file visual editor, but jdeveloper visual editor do not show images and other component shapes.
Could you tell me how I can fix this problem?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Actually, I need to make a dummy change to the jsp file and then it will display boxes representing the objects in the visual editor whereas I get an exception in the log:
    javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Cannot find FacesContext
This does not talk much to me !
    Thanks

whenever i open internet it shows untrusted connection....and in google images it shows few images and other quite white.....what to do?

    Hello,
please check you system Date and time and make sure they are correct .
    Moreover
A common problem recently is Firefox not being set up to work with your security software. Some security suites include a filtering feature. In order to filter secure connections (HTTPS URLs), the security software presents a fake certificate to Firefox so it can intercept and stand in the middle of the secure connection. To have Firefox trust these certificates, you may need to do something such as import a root certificate, or click something in your security software's settings.

    Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/"
    # Based upon the NCSA server configuration files originally by Rob McCool.
    # This is the main Apache server configuration file.  It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/> for detailed information about
    # the directives.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do.  They're here only as hints or reminders.  If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # The configuration directives are grouped into three basic sections:
    #  1. Directives that control the operation of the Apache server process as a
    #     whole (the 'global environment').
    #  2. Directives that define the parameters of the 'main' or 'default' server,
    #     which responds to requests that aren't handled by a virtual host.
    #     These directives also provide default values for the settings
    #     of all virtual hosts.
    #  3. Settings for virtual hosts, which allow Web requests to be sent to
    #     different IP addresses or hostnames and have them handled by the
    #     same Apache server process.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path.  If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache2/logs/foo.log".
    # NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
    # instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
    # If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which Apache.exe is located
    # will be used by default.  It is recommended that you always supply
    # an explicit drive letter in absolute paths, however, to avoid
    # confusion.

    # at <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/mpm_common.html#lockfile>);

I am not expert in these, but please check out the following things and see whether it would solve your issue. (All these changes can be easily rolled back in case I'm wrong :). So make note of what you do)
As per your httpd.conf, you have chosen an automatic configuration of Apache by OWCI installer itself. What it does is create an imageserver.conf file in a separate directory and these settings will be included in your httpd.conf as you can see in the first line: Include "C:/bea/alui/plumtreeconf/".
If you check the imageserver.conf in that location, you would find a line like: Alias /imageserver/ "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/". This aliases the original path "C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/" to /imageserver"
To confirm whether this is done right, check the following:
    1. Acces 'http://<server ip / server name / localhost >/' from your browser
This should display the Apache home page (as per your httpd.conf, it uses the default port 80; so no port number required)
    2. Access 'http://<server ip>/imageserver/' from your browser
This should display the directory structure (if its not disabled) inside your 'C:/bea/alui/ptimages/imageserver/' folder. Also confirm that all the subfolders are accessible.
    3. If all the above is right, it means that your imageserver settings are right. Please check your portalconfig.xml for the correct settings: For example, <setting name="HTTPPort"> should be 7001 in your case. If its something else, change it and restart Weblogic for the settings to take effect.
    Hope this helps.

  • Missing images and not able to use copy and paste anymore - just blank rect

    Hello!
I've a problem that really scares me.
I use severall png and pdf images. But at one point keynote looses the media and just displays these grey rectangles instead of some images. I tried to figure out if it just happens with pdf images and replaced the missing pdf images through png24 images with transparency. It first worked fine (they showed up) and then it tells images can not be saved. If I open the presentation again, the images are missing. And it seems that the more images and slides i put in the presentation, the more images are missing…
But there is more: I even can't copy and paste these images anymore. If I try to copy one of the images I just have replaced (because they have been lost by saving), it just pastes the blank grey rectangle instead of the image.
This really is a problem because I now have to repetitive tasks (like same animation for the same image in the same size) over and over again. And when I save the doc – they are al gone again…
It really scares me and I don't have an idea how to solve this.
It also happens, if I repleace an pdf image with an png image and than try to copy this new png image. However I am able to drag the image from the Finder again.
    I am working on a PB G4, 1.5 GHz, 1 GB RAM.
    My Keynote Version is 3.0.2.
The Keynote Dokument is saved and opened from a G4 X-Serve wich is only used by Macs (so no Windows Filesystem anywhere). I still have anough space on both, my local and the server volume. I don't transfer the Keynote document. So it should not be a problem with the names on the files… And the files are just exported from Adobe Illustrator (png 24 files with "save for web" and the pdf files are saved as Illustrator pdf) – so they should really be fine and not corrupted…
At this time the Keynote document has a size of 179 MB (because of a video) and only 16 slides. And the theme was built from scratch – so no import from Powerpoint or so…
I looked through the Keynote preferences and found a thing like (sorry self-translated from german version to english) "scale placed images to slide-size". I wondered if keynote saves a copy of the sacaled image after that and corrupts the image itself? But I don't think so.
I've had these problems with earlier versions of Keynote, but it occured just sporadically and I could solve it through pasting it again. But this time I can not solfe it anymore.
Does anybody encounter same problem? Or has a hint?
I really would appreciate, because I have to finish the presentation very soon and are not able to work properly with that. Furthermore, I am scared of saving and opinging the presentation again, because the lost files can not be replaced…

    I now have a hint:
As a colleague said, he encountered some problems with usagerights on our fileserver (XServe). He said he wasn't able to read files he put on the server himself again…
If this is true, the same could have happened to Keynote for placed images, as Keynote writes these images as separate files in the doc package…
I will try to work on my local volume and see if it solfes the problem.
But sooner or later I will have to place the whole thing on the server again…
Do you think this is the reason?

  • How to send images and other colored text in email body

    Hi
We are using SAP CRM 4.0 and we would like to send email to our customers using actions configured for activity. Our objective is to send Marketing Emails containing <u>Images and Color texts</u> in the BODY OF THE email and not as a PDF attachment.
The only relevant provision we could see in SCOT is either Text or PDF. On using text , we are loosing all images and color. The PDF option works , but the email generated is a blank email with PDF document as attachment.
We want the matter to be inserted in the body of the email and not as attachment.
Please do let us know if any one has faced similar situation and is there a resolution.
    Thanks and Advance.

  • Internal links in portal (CSS, images, and other struts actions)

Good morning gurus! I have another question regarding Struts Portlets. We have an application that builds a page with an image that comes from the database. The application is composed of two Struts actions. One that's in charge of drawing the page and the other action is in charge of bringing the image from the database. The second action is called from a JSP (img src="/getImage.do"). In portal, once the portlet rendered the JSP it doesn't recongnize the other links inside the JSP (the call to the second action). Also, other links suchs as images, CSS, and others Struts actions are not recognized. How can I access images, links, and CSS from the main application (the actual application).

    Hi Andrew -
This is a pretty big topic for one thread ... I will try to provide some pointers on where to look for more information.
    1. Need ability for non-html literate authors to update text, images and links on their portion of a shared web page
In the following whitepaper, see the section: Associated Funtion for Item Display
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/pdf/oow_10gr2_1336_fender.pdf
This will allow you to prompt your non-HTML literate users for the "parts" to display and you worry about the UI.
    2. Need ability to enforce common look and feel on content provided by non-html literate authors.
Create pages based on Templates. Templates can force the style on users. Again - do not use text items and the RTE for users, you control the display with an Associated Function.
    3. Prefer ability to approve content before it goes live.
Grant content contributors "Manage with Approval" access
    5. Need advanced search capabilities
Check out the search section on Portal OTN
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/content_management_10gr2.html
    Hope this helps,

  • Can jpdk portlets deliver images and other binary files?

From my understanding, portlets can only return text content (html).

  • Alernatives To Sharing Video And Other Content?

    Hello All,
I have a meeting with the head office. Corporate has a site
    that they
run independently of ours. I create short videos of our
    products and
they want to utilize those. We also have images and
    descriptions of
products that they could also utilize.
    This is the question.
Besides just handing them a disk, using IFrames or just
    linking to a
page that is hosted on our domain, I'm looking for
    suggestions for how
to share content. What other solutions have you seen?
Are there any new solutions out there?

I just want to make sure that I can offer them the full

You could publish an RSS news feed with TEXT links to
    articles, videos,
podcasts, slideshows, images, whatever... that is contained
    on your server.
Have Corp site subscribe to your news feeds. When your feeds
    change so do
    the links on their site.

  • PDF with hyperlinks to images and other PDFs.

    Hi, All.
I would like to create a small booklet with approximately 12 to 16 pages as a PDF document but wish to have images and text in the document set as hyperlinks so that they can launch other images and/or documents. In other words, a viewer could click on an image or text and then see an enlarged image open on the center of his computer screen or see another document open over the original PDF. This would work in a similar fashion to what one can do with interactive books on the iPad created with iBook Author.
    The questions I have are:
Where can I find more material to read on how to create PDF with these features?
I have seen PDFs that open with an application on screen that makes them 'feel' more like a real magazine. They are not a typical Acrobat or similar PDF viewer but rather an application that 'flips' the pages in a similar manner to what one would do holding a real magazine. Is it possible to do this with the PDF documents launched by hyperlinks on my PDF document?
Can these hyperlinks open enlarged images in the center of the screen while the remaining area around the image (background) become darker to place emphasis on the image?
How can I learn more about these features and how to use them with Acrobat and PDF documents?
In case the information is relevant I am currently running Acrobat 9 Pro version 9.5.3 on a Mac.
This is sort of an urgent project so any help you can share will be very appreciated.
    TIA,
    Joe.

  • Per site, list driven footer and other content areas on a SharePoint 2010 master page?

So I worked with a vendor to provide a js, a powershell script and <div> content holders in a master page that would pull the content dynamically based on the site or subsite, and more specifically from a custom list in that site. To explain, if I
have a root site collection but want to be able to have the end user control the site content, such as a custom top navigation (above the global) and custom footer, and custom place holder content that would appear under the navigation; I would like to have
that content pulled from a list.
My goal is to not have a "custom master page" for the many many sites we have in our environment. I am using twitter bootstrap as the foundation for the master pages, then a set number of page layouts pending whether they want left nav to show
or not. I also typically just use the v4.master for the system pages, but am not sure if that is a best practice either being that the list display forms for a publishing site are ugly so need customized per list.
Has any one done anything like this and if so could you point me in the right direction? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Right now am working within SP2010 but will be testing for SP2013 in the near future.

    Hi,
Based on my understanding, you might want to display dynamic content in the pages which reference a specific master page, the content stores in a custom list, users
can update the master page by updating the corresponding list items.
Then there would be two main steps in a solution like this:
    1. Data retrieving of a list: JavaScript Client Object Model can help to query the needed items from a list;
    JavaScript Client Object Model
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/hh185006(v=office.14).aspx
More information about JavaScript Client Object Model:
How to: Create, Update, and Delete List Items Using JavaScript
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/hh185011(v=office.14).aspx
    2. Modify the master page: With the data retrieved, we can then change the HTML source code of a page using JavaScript.
    About how to
    modify the HTML using JavaScript:
    http://www.w3schools.com/js/js_htmldom_html.asp
    http://njarb.com/2011/06/update-html-content-using-javascript/
We can apply the custom JavaScript to the master page, then when users open a page which references this master page, the JavaScript will run, get data from the custom
list, change the HTML source of the current page and display the content you want.
    Best regards,

  • PCF file missing hostname and other information

Using Cisco VPN Client 4.8.01.0300, several users have reported issues with being unable to launch the VPN Client software. The client returns Error 5 - Hostname not available; upon reviewing the .PCF file, the hostname and other group info is now missing; an import of a valid .PCF file resolves the problem. I've seen variations of this issue discussed on this board, but no solution to the underlying problem - something corrupts the .PCF file.

i think the problem is because of cisco bug CSCsa74320

  • Updated to 4 a while ago, but the last versin of 3 is lingering and reappears, want to get rid of it, as well as disk images and other clutter that usually goes away after an update. Any ideas?

really two things: one: the last version of FF 3 keeps reappearing when, for example, links in emails require opening the browser. Example: an email from netflix with a link to the site which I clicked on to update some info. Instead of going to/thru the current browser FF4, the previous version appears---more accurately the "firefox updated" page for 3.16 or whatever it was. Why is this still there? Why is there more than one copy there in the first place, after updating?
also, related perhaps, why does the FF4 disk image and application folder always appear when I open FF4. Usually they go away after the update and first restart, but now they appear every time I open the browser? I have snow leopard 10.6.7 if that tell u anything

Only if you had previously installed an app that would periodically email you its location. Not that the iPod has to br on and connected to the internet.

  • IPhone and "Other" content ....

I rented a movie yesterday morning, added it to my 4GB iPhone and when I got home from work, I moved the movie back to my iTunes library so that I could finish watching it on my desktop. So when I syncronized, the purple video content bar disappeared. However, the orange bar appeared: 1.23 GB of other content to be exact! Rather than panic, I immediately removed all songs and music videos and syncronized again. THERE STILL REMAINS 1.23 GB OF CONTENT THAT I CANNOT FIND AND REMOVE. (3.5 GB capacity minus 2.3 GB available equals 1.23 GB of mystery content....arghhhh!!) I welcome your input. I will restore only as a last resort. Thanks, René

Can you please point me to the thread? Mine increased to over 4 GB after upgrading to latest iTunes...ACK! I dunno how to find the extra data....and it was never this large before...
    Thanks!

I see a tutorial of Infographics by Nigel French, In this tutorial when the Mr Nigel use place option to import images or other illustrator files the illustrator not auto put images at center but ask where to place images or how much area to be covered by this image or file.
I search about this but not found anything relating to this topic, I don't know whether this is plugin or illustrator function/feature.
