Missing images in the viewer

When I've imported my videos to FinalCut, I have a problem with showing the images in the viewer. The sound works perfectly and it seems like the picture is available in the time line.
Does anybody have any suggestions what the problem might be?

In my opinion, the deprecated Server Behaviors panel should NOT be used. The code is woefully outdated, not secure and the MySQL connections will fail to work on many servers (PHP 5.5).
I think a much better use of your time would be to learn manual coding in PHP and MySQLi (improved).

Posterized Image in the Viewer... Help?

I am new to Aperture and I have completed a couple of small projects using Aperture for post processing. I have noticed, however, that the images in the viewer are slightly posterized. Has anyone else experienced this effect. I am hooked to my 20" Cinema Display using my Powerbook 1.67ghz. However, after processing these files to Tiff the transitions are smooth.
If I use CaptureOne using the same Raw files the color transitions are quite smooth in it's viewer.
I know someone might say, "well if the final files are good then what is the worry?"... The problem is when the client is looking at the Images on Aperture. Not Good!
Is this a bug or have I pressed a button somewhere to turn on some kind of lower quality preview for the viewer?

Check View>OnScreen Proofing - Turn this off, and thinks should look a little better.

Blank images in the viewer

When scrolling through a group of images in the browser, there are random images that are blank-- just a dotted line around where the image should be. The image is not lost entirely-- when clicked on, it does show up in the viewer. Any idea what might be going on here? Note: I have tried closing and re-opening Aperture as well as restarting the machine. No dice...

I found it! In the Images menu, there is a "Generate Thumbnails" option. This works, but it does leave the question of why these images were without thumbnails in the first place. I don't recall doing anything that would have eliminated these. There was no rhyme nor reason to the missing thumbs. I certainly didn't select out these specific images for special treatment in any other way. Any thoughts on how they might have gone missing in the first place?

Can i insert an image in the View responses tab for each formula ?

In the View responses tab, i would like to insert an image as a thumbnail for each formula to identify my products for a multiple products survey. Is it possible ?

add Image UI Element and set the following properties
· alt
Determines an alternative text that is displayed when the graphic cannot be opened or found.
· source
Determines the Web address (URL) of the graphic through which the UI element receives the data. If you store the image file in your Web Dynpro project under ® src ® mimes ®Components ® , you only have to specify the file name without a path.
example
source=one.jpg // one.jpg is stored in the above specified path

Publish app in Beta 1 & Beta 2, contain missing images

I have noticed that when I publish a siena project in Beta 1 and now Beta 2, there seems to be missing images within the published folders.
This results in having to publish several times and validate that all images have been downloaded to the publish package.
I have over 400 images within several folders. I know that all image paths are correct as all show up in preview mode within siena. I have also validated each and every image in all folders, so I know the exact number that should
be in my publish package.
What I have found if an app contains many images, one has to ensure that all images are viewed (selected) within the app. I cannot just open the app that published correctly one day and make a small cosmetic change and then publish the app again
without validating that all images get published.
A good example is that I opened a siena project that i published and after several attempts the package contained all images (over 400+). I then opened the same siena project and saved it with a new name, added a rating control and timer
for animation. Please note that no other changes were made. I then published the package several times before I was successful in getting all images added to the published package.
I see the same issue in Beta 2.

Sorry for the confusion. The embedded media is not the issue here. I have an excel data source that contains the links to the images. I can see the images within the project, data source, links are loaded into the collections, and all images
can be viewed within the project.
The issue occurs during the publishing phase. During publishing all the images should be downloaded into the publish package but they are not. I just opened the same project and published in Beta 2. I wanted to test this issue
in beta 2. I was missing over 40 files from the 400+.
Please note I did not close and reopen siena. The next step is that I went into preview mode within the same project, viewed each image from each gallery, then published. I then validated the published package subfolder and all 400+ images
were there.
Hope this it a little bit clearer.

After recent upgrade, missing images

I allowed the Aperture upgrade to go through. New Aperture upgraded the library. The upgrade was not going through (stuck on step 6), so after searching on the web, I started Aperture with Cmd-Option key. I chose the Rebuild library option and that needed upgrade also, and the upgrade happened.
Now, I cannot see images in projects created over the last two years. The images are in Aperture I can tell - because in Library>Projects I can see all the images. However, if I chose a project in left panel, the project has zero images. If I navigate to Library>Photos, then no photos from last two years can be seen. The search box however shows "showing all" photos - so there does not appear to be an obvious filter on.
All processing, creating of previews, thumbnails, face detection post the library build has happened. Since then I have fixed permissions, repaired library, and again rebuilt library.
The images are definitely there - because I can see the images in the referenced location where I stored them.
Here are some snapshots of what I am facing.
One project in Library>Projects
This one has photos. But this is how I view it in the left panel.
There are other threads with this problem, but I thought that if I elaborate, then maybe some of you can pinpoint the specific problem that I am facing.

If rebuilding the database does not work, and you have no backup of the Library from the time before the upgrade, you might try this:
Make a backup of your Aperture Library - an exact copy on disk with enough space.
Look at the projects with missing images and take not of the time these projects have been imported.
Then ctrl-click he Aperture Library package and look inside by selecting "Show Package Contents" - look into the "Masters" folder. Your original image files should be stored there, files away by import date.
Do you see your images inside? If your original images are still there, you now have two options:
Create a new, empty library and import the original masters (for the missing images) from the "Masters" folder into this new Library. After checking if everything is o.k. import this into your other Library.
Or try to manually fix the other library by removing the database files from within the package.
To manually repair the library, if rebuild does not work:

There is one one last desperate method to save some parts of your library that you might try - but that might wreck the library completely, so you need to make sure you have a backup copy before you even think about trying this:

I wouldn't advice to try that, unless seeing you are about to recreate the library completely from scratch.

FCE 4 Problem: Color bar thru the Viewer

I just upgraded to FCE4 and have found two annoyances already....
1)I get a horizontal color bar running thru the middle of the image in the viewer. It's mostly an aqua color but there are shades of other colors in it (which vary from image to image). Is this some sort of new feature or is something wrong here. I sure can't see (or imagine) any purpose to it. I did two installs -- on an iMac and a MacBook Pro -- and the problem is only showing up on the iMac.
2) The controls seem very different... In 3.5 you could right click on a clip to cut it from the timeline. Can't do that now. Are the controls really that different from 3.0 & 3.5, or is this another glitch?
As long as I'm asking questions... Anyone got a good text/manual to recommend? It's feeling like I need to re-learn how to use FCE. I wouldn't have expected an upgrade to be so different from the earlier version (eg, right clicking to cut and paste clips should have stayed unchanged, in my book).

I've also deleted FCE4 from the HD (also deleting the plist file and the project file) and reinstalled it; after importing the same files, I get the same result. Other things I've noticed...
1) If I import the same files into FCE4 on my MacBookPro I have no problem.
2) Once I drop the file from the Viewer onto the timeline, and then re-open it in th Viewer from the timeline, the color bar is gone.
3) The color bar is not showing up in the Canvas or the icons on the Timeline.
4) If I import the same files into FCE 3.5.1, I have no problem. (BTW, I'm back to using 3.5.1 until I receive my copy of your book.)
So the imported files are not corrupt; the problem is somewhere else. Or maybe I'm just missing something obvious (well, it'd have to be less than obvious).

Hello, I am new to XCode and Mac Application design, but I need to code a program where a user can click with the mouse and an image will appear where the user has clicked. My main issue (I think) is writing code that places these images in the view as the user clicks. Could someone help me with this? I am currently using XCode 4.

Loading an image in the background and displaying it as it is loaded

Hi,
I'm writing an "image viewer" swing component, which should load an image in the background, and display it as it is loaded (for example each time a line of the image is loaded, display it)
Is there a way to do this using JAI or any other api ?
I guess i would need a way to check the loading progress from the EDT, get the loaded part of the image and display it. Am I right ? Is that possible ?

In the video inspector set the Spatial Conform to "none". This will give tou the actual size of the image in the viewer. You can then use the transform controls to adjust the image to what you want to see.

Missing images in folders

Does anyone else have this issue:
Sporadically, a folder within my library will not display any of the images from that folder. Usually it happens during intense processor usage. For instance, when I geotagged 500 photos, the computer gave me the beachball then the images were missing from their folder. When I place my cursor over the folder with the missing photos, it still tells me how many versions there are, but no images actually show up in the browser. If I go to the main library folder, I can find all of the 'missing' images.
The only way I've been able to make the images visable in a folder is to create a new folder, then drag and drop all of the images from my main library into the new folder.
Is this a known problem and are there any fixes known as of yet?

You have probably moved the files outside of Lightroom. The images you see in LR are previews that were made before you moved the files.
Do a search for the files/folders using your computers operating system. (Explorer/Finder)
Once you have found them, you can point LR to the right location.

Deleting albums and all images in the album from Library ?

What's the best way to delete an album and all the images in that album? I have a few dozen albums that were missing images and the best way to organize is probably to re-import all the images from dvd again.

Jquery tabs and missing images in theme 22

Hi,
I've successfully used the jQuery tabs template that Patrick so kindly shared in this thread [ https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=4423187] .
However I noticed something ithe following in the error console within firebug when I go over a tab page
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://apex.oracle.com/i/themes/theme_22/css/images/ui-bg_highlight-hard_100_f6f6f6_1x100.png.
We're on Apex 4.1.
Is it simply a matter of tossing the missing image into the /i/libraries/jquery-ui/1.8/base/images folder or is there more to do in terms of loading javascript libraries etc?
I've reproduced it on apex.oracle.com(using Firefox at least obviously).
