Missing InfoCube 0CRM_C02 in BW 7

Hi,
I am using BW 7 with BI-Cont 703-0005. I`m unable to locate the Cube 0CRM_C02. Does the Cube in this version still exist? Or is it possible, that we have a fragmentary content?

I get "Missing InfoCube 0COPA_C01 in Version A" error message when trying to migrate ZCOMP_CODE Object ( in RSEC_MIGRATION program) when migration from BW3.5 to BI7.0.

Hi Sruthi,
I came across a similar problem.You need to activate the Business Content ( all info providers, infocubes, ODS objects ) related to the Authorization objects you are trying to migrate from BW 3.5 to BI 7.0.

As my guess it would be there.
Are you sure, your checking in correct way?
RSA1--> BI content --> Object type--> Info cube--> expand below--> select objects(double click)-->
find here, select two options:
find only entire word or value
display number of hits. search it you may find.
if you won't find then there might something missing or content installation patches may not be done properly. Please ask your basis team to re-install bi content patches.

How to Include the Infocubes in a Multiprovider..!!

Hello Experts,
Question is related to multiproviders. I have some 20 to 30 of the infocubes in Dev System.
I have 2 multiproviders in the same system. I come to know..some of the infocubes missed out in multiproviders.
I tried to add those missed infocubes into multiprovider (MPRO --> Context Menu --> Change ) Change Structure.
But i found some of the infocubes are not available in the MPRO Structure Itself. For your info those all missed infocubes all are avaialable in the Dev system into some other info areas.
Now Question is how to include the infocubes of which of them are not available in MPRO Structure itself. I want to add the infocubes in the Multiprovider itself.
Please reply me the answer for the above scenario.

Here my issue is..even for giving the tickmark also..the infocube needs to be opened in the MPRO structure.
My problem is Infocube itself is not opening in MPRO Structure.
How to include the infocube in the MPRO Structure itself.
Those cubes are avaialable in the Dev system where as those are not available in MPRO.

Information in PSA for 0IMFA_1 is missing in infocube

Hello everyone,
I've loaded all the necessary data for 0IMFA_1 through all the nessesary infosources via PSA's, also i've preloaded the 0im_fa_ip_8, 0im_fa_ip_9, and 0im_fa_iq_9 (0im_fa_ip_7 is not required).
Information that i see coming for Budget- for mesures, in this case WBS's is present in the PSA but not in the cube itself. Specifically i miss the resolution of 0VTDETAIL
which enables me to seperate the line for original budget to supplments or returns.
As a result of this the amounts <b>aggregate</b> for every line for different approval years.
I suspect start routine which exist in the update rules of the infosource.
has anybody encountered this?

Symptom
When you update the 0IMFA_1 InfoCube from the 0CO_OM_OPA_2 and 0CO_OM_WBS_2 InfoSources, the 0VTDETAIL characteristic is not updated.

This is due to an error in the update rules.
Solution
The problem is solved with the following Support Packages:
BW Release 2.1C as of Support Package 29
BW Release 3.0B as of Support Package 21
BW Release 3.20 as of Support Package 13
BW Release 3.30 as of Support Package 6
After you import the relevant Support Package, transfer the affected update rules again from the Content delivered by SAP.

The fact table of InfoCube 0OPA_C11 is missing 2 secondary indexes

Hello experts,
in RSRV i got the above mentioned message for my InfoCube 0OPA_C11. Before I tried to delete, repair and build up my indices in performance tab of the InfoCube.
I followed SAP Note '401242 - Problems with InfoCube or aggregate indexes'.
-> SAP_INFOCUBE_INDEXES_REPAIR repaired indexes and show no further problem, but problem still exists, in performance tab light is red and RSRV brings same message.
Does someone have any idea what further I can do?

Peter, refer to note 928037, it's FAQ about MaxDB indexes. I gave it a quick reading and I believe the answer to this issue lies beneath this doc! There are ways to check consistency of individual index, bad indexes and ways of eliminating them.
Also, refer to the below blog. Check the status of the secondary index in this case. I suspect they are bad or missing. There are ways to recreate them. Keep your basis guys in the loop.

I have request in the report level but the same is missing in the infocube

Dear Experts,
I have request in the report level but the same is missing in the compressed infocube level. What could be the cause? does the compressed infocube deletes the request ? if so, I could able to view other requests under infocube manage level.

Compressing InfoCubes
Use
When you load data into the InfoCube, entire requests can be inserted at the same time. Each of these requests has its own request ID, which is included in the fact table in the packet dimension. This makes it possible to pay particular attention to individual requests. One advantage of the request ID concept is that you can subsequently delete complete requests from the InfoCube.
However, the request ID concept can also cause the same data record (all characteristics agree, with the exception of the request ID) to appear more than once in the fact table. This unnecessarily increases the volume of data, and reduces performance in reporting, as the system has to perform aggregation using the request ID every time you execute a query.
Using compressing, you can eliminate these disadvantages, and bring data from different requests together into one single request (request ID 0).
This function is critical, as the compressed data can no longer be deleted from the InfoCube using its request ID. You must be absolutely certain that the data loaded into the InfoCube is correct.
Features
You can choose request IDs and release them to be compressed. You can schedule the function immediately or in the background, and can schedule it with a process chain.
Compressing one request takes approx. 2.5 ms per data record.
With non-cumulative InfoCubes, compression has an additional effect on query performance. Also, the marker for non-cumulatives in non-cumulative InfoCubes is updated. This means that, on the whole, less data is read for a non-cumulative query, and the reply time is therefore reduced. See also Modeling of Non-Cumulatives with Non-Cumulative Key Figures.
If you run the compression for a non-cumulative InfoCube, the summarization time (including the time to update the markers) will be about 5 ms per data record.
If you are using an Oracle database as your BW database, you can also carry out a report using the relevant InfoCube in reporting while the compression is running. With other manufacturers databases, you will see a warning if you try to execute a query on an InfoCube while the compression is running. In this case you can execute the query once the compression has finished executing.
If you want to avoid the InfoCube containing entries whose key figures are zero values (in reverse posting for example) you can run a zero-elimination at the same time as the compression. In this case, the entries where all key figures are equal to 0 are deleted from the fact table.
Zero-elimination is permitted only for InfoCubes, where key figures with the aggregation behavior SUM appear exclusively. In particular, you are not permitted to run zero-elimination with non-cumulative values.
For non-cumulative InfoCubes, you can ensure that the non-cumulative marker is not updated by setting the indicator No Marker Updating. You have to use this option if you are loading historic non-cumulative value changes into an InfoCube after an initialization has already taken place with the current non-cumulative. Otherwise the results produced in the query will not be correct. For performance reasons, you should compress subsequent delta requests.

Some fields missing in SD Standard Infocubes

Hi,
I have installed SD Cubes 0SD_C01, 0SD_C03 and 0SD_C05 for the customer. Now according to his latest requirements, he wants to see the values for Sales Document Number, Delivery Number and Billing Doc. number also in the reports.
I have checked in the dimensions of all the three cubes but not able to find these chars there.
How can I display the values for these chars in the reports? Can I just add these chars into the relevant cubes, activate it and map the transformations again....is it possible...???

Yes, it is possible....
but they are not in standard infocube because these details expand the number records of infocube...
it is best practise do not use maximum detail in infocube; these details are used in datastore objects (usually are the keys).
one of reason is the performance improvement on the query execute.
however, if you want these details, try to create a new infocucube, do not modify the standard one..

BI content InfoCube missing for reporting and reports show'~' in with KFs

Hello friends,
I need help with the following two issue with the business content query that I have
installed in DEV system.
1. I have installed a BI content infocube and 5 standard
   queries with it, I am able to see and execute the query but some other
   users are not able to see the Infocube listed under Infoarea. The same
   users were able to see the Infocube if they tried creating a new query.
2. When I execute the same installed standard BI content query all the key figures values in columns are shown with a '~' symbol before and after it.
   example: $ 198.63 and -$ 0.02
   How do I over come this ? and what might be the reason ? Please suggest.

Hi Sonu,
In Tcode SU01 check roles and profiles for your users.
Then in PFCG check the authorizations for that specific roles you have found in SU01.
Maybe your users have restrictions on query names: maybe they are authorized to execute only query starting with "Z" and BC query start with "0".

Best way to look for missing sequencial numbers in infocube?

I'm looking for some ideas on the best way to do the following:
The characteristic transaction number is in a cube by day, store, and register. I need to ensure there isn't a missing transaction number across days...
Example:
5/16        Store: 5     Register: 1       Txn: 12345
5/16        Store: 5     Register: 1       Txn: 12346
5/17        Store: 5     Register: 1       Txn: 12348
(So in the example above txn 12347 is missing.)
We are talking about 300,000 transactions per day
First Idea:
I was thinking about using an infopackage to extract the 2 days from the cube(600,000 records) and I could use ABAP in the start routine to figure out if there is a missing txn. Would that work? I vaguely remember something about a start routine only having access to a package, not the whole dataset.
Second Idea:
Is there a way to have a query get the last txn # from previous day and the first txn # from the current day? Then I could use a workbook with VBA to figure out the missing txns.

Not sure if the following method is the most intelligent, but worth a try if you have no better way...
1) Create a query with required variables (like Register, Calendar Day etc) placed in the free characteristics and the Txn Number placed in the rows. If the Txn number is a characteristic, from the properties, choose SORT ASCENDING. Else you can use listcube t-code and sort the output in the ascending order, then save the list as a local file (excel sheet) onto the desktop.
2) Create a separate Excel file with the transaction numbers in ascending order (assuming that you know the txn number range for those days in the period of interest). This is very easy to do in Excel especially since they will be in order (type 1 txn and drag it downwards which will increase the number serially).
3) Now that you have two files (first one is the as-is records and the second one ideal records) compare these two files using a software like <a href="http://www.scootersoftware.com/beycomp_062808.exe">Beyond Compare</a>. I have used this software before and found it to be useful.

Error while activating Infocube

Following error while activating after creating new Infocube:
No active nametab exists for /BIC/DDPCW14DFD1
Termination due to inconsistencies
Table /BIC/DDPCW14DFD1 (Statements could not be generated)
Enhancement category for table missing
The cube is being made as a exact copy of an existing activated and correctly working cube.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Data Error in the Query/Report after selective data deletion for infocube

Hi Experts,
Please advise what i was missing and what went wrong...
I got a Query (Forecast) on a Multicube...which is based on 2 Infocubes with Aggregates...
As i identified some data discrepency..yesteraday i performed selective data deleation on one of the Infocube
and executed report yesteraday and the results in the query are correct...
When today i executed the same report i am getting different results..
When i compared the results of the report with that of data in cube they are not matching
The report is not displaying the data in cube..for some rows it is displaying the data in the cube but for some rows it is just displaying same as the above row
there is no data loaded into info cube after selective deleation
Do i need to perform request compression and fill the aggregated after selective deleation
Please advise what went wrong

No i haven't done anything on aggregates before or after selective delete
As there is not data load after the selective delete according to SAP Manual we don't need to perform any thing on aggregates...as selective data deletion on cube will delete data from aggregates as well
Please update how to identify error
