Missing ISO Output in Metadata Placard

Opening an image from a Canon A710IS camera into Bridge CS3 fails to produce an ISO value in the Metadata Placard, yet the other parameters (shutter speed, aperature, white balance, exposure compensation) do register. In Preferences, the ISO Speed Ratings box is checked. How come no ISO?

Make sure you have the latest updates to ACR and also check to see that the version you are using supports that camera. If it is a new model it may take awhile to get the coding done.
Sure would be nice to have a set standard for all digital cameras to follow.

  • Metadata placard icons

In the metadata preferences for Bridge in PS CS3, I checked off "show metadata placard," and that thing is visible in the Bridge metadata panel. However, where AWB (auto white balance) appears, sometimes AWB is replaced with one of a few small icons that I can't find a described anyplace. I assume it has something to do with white balance, which I very seldom change in my camera, but what does it mean? If anyone, including the owner of Adobe, can tell me the meaning of these little beasts, I'd be very appreciative. I'm shooting raw with a D200.

  • How do I restore missing sound output device in system preferencces?

How do I restore a missing sound output device in the System Preferences. My MacBook Pro only shows a Digital output in the Sound pane and a red light at the Digital Output Port.

If your model has an audio-out (headphone) port, and a red light is coming from it, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.

  • Ck-100 missing ISO cable

    Hello,
I bought Nokia CK 100 car kit a month ago. My great surprise when I got it was that there was a missing ISO cable "replaced" by external speaker. I don't really get the idea of nailing the speaker on the dashboard or somewhere near, when you have radio and speakers - but have to cope with it I guess.
My problem is that the Nokia dealer I bought it from cannot or doesn't want to help me finding the cable. I contacted Nokia authorised service and Nokia online support but couldn't get any help (thanks Nokia...) Since I am not into the tech/cable side a friend of mine offered to make the cable if I find the scheme of the ISO connectors. Wld be grtfl if anyone can post it or send the scheme to me. Or if someone knows a site where I can purchase the cable wld be nice too.

    Hi contra
Unfortunately as you have found out there are two regional variations of CK-300 with only one having the CA-135 ISO cable included. You may find this link of interest as this user had the same predicament, although solution is model specific the principles of construction are the same:

  • Some missing and corrupt IPTC metadata on export

As a Lightroom user I'm trying Aperture 3, I may be missing something or failing somewhere...
I've imported some RAW files which already have IPTC metadata, captions, copyright, keywords etc. On export the copyright field has corrupted, the symbol © becomes ¬© and a few fields are missing. I don't have a date, rights usage and the image is marked as unknown copyright status.
All of that data (except copyright status) appears in Aperture so I'd expect to see it in an exported JPEG. Everything appears as I expect when making a JPEG from Lightroom.
Thanks for any comments or advice.

By definition, custom fields are non-standard, and therefore aren't included in the exported file as they won't mean anything to other software. This has been the case since Aperture 1.0 and has absolutely nothing to do with other metadata problems.
Your website will likely be reading IPTC tags so if you want the information to be readable you'll have to find some appropriate IPTC tags to store the information in.

  • Missing file number suffix metadata when exporting

    Hello All,
I export files from Lightroom 2 (LR2) using custom filenames that include file number, i.e. "Original number suffix", metadata. This metadata is not being picked up by the export module and will therefore not be included in the exported filename. This happens with files that have been edited in Photoshop (CS3), but not with the original DNG files.
So if I have a master file named "Davison-20080809-1234-Master.psd", I in Lightroom 1.x (LR1) I set up a custom filename scheme in the export dialogue box that will export the master as "Davison-20080809-1234-BW-Web.jpg", or similar. This has worked with no problems to date.
In LR2, when I look at the Example field under File Naming in the Export dialogue, I see only "Davison-20080809-BW-Web.jpg"--the original number suffix is missing along with one of the hyphens around it. When I create a custom file naming scheme with only the "Original filename suffix" metadata in it, it shows "_.jpg" in the Example field.
It looks like maybe two things are happening.
In LR1, if a piece of metadata was missing, it would still export a filename with all the hyphens around the missing data, so I would get "Davison-20080809--BW-Web.jpg" if the number suffix were missing. Someone probably tweaked that in the new version of Lightroom so that the unsightly double hyphenation would not appear. So this doesn't look like it's related to the problem.
The second thing that appears to be happening is that Lightroom 2 is either not exporting (in file metadata) or not tracking (in the LR catalogue) the number suffixes. I've looked for the number suffix in Photoshop's metadata and it's not stored in the metadata at all. When I copy a Photoshop file with a suffix that does export correctly in LR2, rename the file "Test-20080809.psd" and import it into LR2, Lightroom parses the date (YYYYMMDD) as the number suffix and "20080809" is what I get when I export that file. This indicates that LR1 and LR2 store the number suffix in the catalogue and for some reason LR2 is not preserving the number suffix in the catalogue metadata when a file is edited in Photoshop.
So has anyone else run into this problem? Or is someone interested in reproducing it? It looks like a bug to me.

I'm also running into this same problem. For what it's worth, when I import my RAW files (as DNGs), I rename them using a naming scheme which looks like the following:
    (2008-08-13) -019- (7108).dng
This scheme is created with the following elements (separated by line-breaks):
    custom date formula
    import number
    original file suffix
In Lightroom 1, I had no problem. Now, I'm wondering if the parenthesis after the end of the file suffix is what's causing Lightroom 2 to think that there is no suffix?

  • RFC missing some output fields

Hello developers, I have encountered a very strange problem... I have a table in an iview which displays the output from an RFC. Simple. Problem is, the RFC is only returning certain fields correctly...
for example, the following is text from the table that I am displaying on the iview:
(the table consists of 3 fields: DATE | TEXT DESCRIPTION | MONEY AMOUNT)
    29/May/2007 | COLEGIATURA MAESTRIA | $ 335.55
    31/May/2007 | COLEGIATURA MAESTRIA | -$ 335.55
    06/Sep/2007 | <-----Missing field--
    >   | $ 100.00
The <-missing fields-> are the texts that are not being displayed properly in my iview (it is supposed to display the word "INTERESES"). The really weird thing is that if I execute the same RFC directly in R3, I get the entire fields correctly, like this:
    29/May/2007 | COLEGIATURA MAESTRIA | $ 335.55
    31/May/2007 | COLEGIATURA MAESTRIA | -$ 335.55
    06/Sep/2007 | INTERESES                        | $ 100.00
WHY IS THE RFC NOT RETURNING THOSE FIELDS WHEN IT IS EXECUTED FROM THE PORTAL!!!!!!????
A few things I want to add:
    - The data type of the Context node to which i am binding the output data from the RFC is a String. The RFC output node field's data type is Text50 (which is basically a SAP String).
    - I changed the data type of the context node from String to Text50 and nothing happened.
    - I print the entire data from the RFC output node directly on screen (using a for loop and the IMessageManager's reportSuccess method) before doing anything and it returns the same thing (i.e. nothing happened).
    - Yes, the Node that I am binding to the output node of the RFC is correctly binded.
    - Yes, I have restarted the server.
    - Yes, I have reimported the RFC model.
    - Yes, I am sending the right input parameters to the RFC (it has only one input parameter, and I am sending the correct one, otherwise it would not return anything).
    - I have tried getting the lenght of the missing field's, and they return "0" (meaning it is empty).
The ABAP team has told me that the problem is on the portal side, not on theirs, so they assume the RFC is working correctly.
I was a little sceptical about that and I did a little research on the RFC (i don't know ABAP at all). The RFC reads texts from different tables and it turns out that all of the fields that are missing are read from one table. This table has 19 entries, and none of the 19 texts that belong to that specific table are being properly displayed in the portal.
So I checked a little further and those texts are of the same type (Text) as the rest of the texts that are being properly displayed so the ABAP team assures me that is not the problem.I find it a little suspicious that the only data that is giving me trouble belongs to that one table.
Maybe the problem is neither on the Java code or on the ABAP code, maybe it is somewhere in the middle (maybe on the JCO connections, the parsing of the data or something)... Can somebody please help me out?? I have been with this problem since monday and I am nowhere near the solution...

    Hi Pablo,
I would like to mention 2 things.
    1. Have u tried to debug the application ?? Go to r/3 system ->tcode - se37.put an external breakpoint over there & run the application. Check whether u r getting the data properly from there or not.
    2. If its a the problem only with 1 table,can u plz tell the nwds version,u r using??If u r using 7.0.11 , i would suggest u to go thru this sap note :Note 991175
Actually we had a similar kind of problem & later find out that its an bug in 7.0.11.I m not sure abt ur problem exactly, but still u can refer this & check whether u also need a patch or not.(A patch is already available for the problem mentioned in the sap note)

  • Vertical scrollbars missing in output

    I have a project upgraded from 7 to 8. Using IE 7.
The initial conversion seemed to be fine.
Now when I create the output, my vertical scrollbars are missing on all the topics.
This is true only in the right pane (not on the TOC). This is true regardless of the skin.
The only clue that I have is that I was trying to add DHTML to a topic when I noticed that the scrollbars disappeared. The system seemed to lose the vertical scroll bars after that.
I am not using the DHTML anywhere in the system now, and the original did not use it, either.
    Ideas?

    Hi there
In addition to what Willam offered, I will also ask the following. I don't see it has been asked yet. If so, my apologies as I missed it.
Are the topics actually longer than the page? One might assume so, but you never know. Many of the newer computers operate at amazing screen resolutions that just weren't possible a few short years ago. So if all your content actually fits the screen, there would be no scroll bars to see.
What happens if you resize the browser window to something smaller? Does the fact you change that then make them appear?
I know you cite IE7, but does this also happen in FF or other browsers?
    Cheers... Rick

  • Missing Sound Output VIs

    Hello all,
I'm trying to create a DLL that reads incoming sound data through my DAQ board and translates it for my sound card.  Unfortunately, when I run the control program (LabWindows), I get error messages saying that the LabVIEW Sound Output VIs are missing.  Do I need to add another library to my LabWindows project, and if so, which one?  If not, why isn't LabWindows (or the LabVIEW runtime engine, if applicable) finding the VIs in my DLL project library?
    Thanks!

    Hi Michael,
Sorry for the confusion!    Guess they don't call me Slowpoke for nothing...anyway, let me see if I can clarify matters.
The problem is not with the control program, per se.  The problem only manifests itself when I call my DLL (created in LabVIEW) from the LabWindows control program.  When I call the DLL from a LabVIEW control program, the DLL works perfectly.  When I call the DLL from the LabWindows control program, the front panel of the called VI has a broken "run" arrow.  When I click on the broken arrow, I get the LabVIEW error message popup.  The LabWindows control program itself flags no errors.
I mentioned those VIs only to offer some context for the problem, i.e., in case you were wondering what their functions and purpose were, since they appeared in the error popup; if I muddled things up for you instead, again I apologize.  Hope this is clearer!
    Thanks,

  • Output settings "metadata" in Web module

In the web-module there is an Output settings called "Metadata" where you can select "All" or "Copyright only". By selecting All i thought that all metadata like caption, keywords etc. was exported so that tis info could be serched from the web, but the in the html I find this " ".
    Have I misunderstood this function?
    Thanks!

    > Have I misunderstood this function?
My understanding of it is that it retains the metadata (keywords, IPTC EXIF fields...)

but not in the page itself.

    Hi,
You can view upto 512 character in the output.
Check out the PROGRAM statement of Program PROGRAM rswatch0 (Transaction AL11).
    PROGRAM rswatch0 MESSAGE-ID s1 NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING LINE-SIZE 512.
Thats the reason why u can see more that 512 characters.
You can download the data to ur internal table and check that data is still there.

  • Missing Camera and Lens Metadata after iPhoto Import

I've noticed that the Photos for Mac app seems to have "lost" all of the Camera and Lens Metadata associated with each of my photos. Has this happened to anyone else?
No matter which photo I choose, the Info inspector window shows "No Camera Information" and "No Lens Information".  I've confirmed that the Camera and Lens metadata is still present in the original iPhoto Library.
If I create a new iPhoto Library with just a dozen or so pictures and then choose that Library when launching Photos for Mac, by pressing the Option key while clicking the Icon, the photos are imported with the Metadata intact.  Clearly something went wrong with the import of my much larger main iPhoto library. (The main library has over 100,000 photos in it.)
I'm wondering if there is some way to force Photos for Mac to re-index the Metadata.  Any thoughts?
    Thanks,

  • Missing Audio Output in Macbook

i have a circa 2006/7 black macbook, running OSX 10.5.8, 2.16 GHz intel core 2 Duo, 2GB 667 MHz DDR SDRAM.  we've had it for about four years now, so if this is it for this computer, i guess we'll have to deal with it.  earlier this evening, i was attempting to record into garage band via the microphone input jack, and also run an output from the headphones to hear what i was recording.  while inserting the cords, a horrible sound started coming out of the computer's audio.  i figured i was getting some feedback or something was being plugged into the wrong port and it was creating the noise.  after continuing to troubleshoot, i realized i had no more internal audio.  the place at the top where the speaker's volume is empty.  i have tried powering down, taking out the battery, etc. and nothing has brought it back.
what are the odds that i fried something inside?  is there anything else i can do to bring back the audio?

also, to add to this, i launched garage band, and it said:  Core Audio Selected Driver Not Found (-10202)

  • Missing rows / output only one row in a Report after applying patchset 2

    Hi.
We use Reports Builder for 10g R2. We had the problem with our AS 10g R2 on windows 2003, that some reports creates duplicate rows when it is a ASCII report (desformat = delimited), see Bug 3340546.
Now we apply Patchset 2 on a local machine, to test the functionality. It fix the problem (look in metalink doc ID 398955.1 under "2.12 Oracle Reports Developer Bugs")-
But now most csv reports creates only one row instead of multiple rows.
We run reports on our local machine with OC4N and local started Form (via Forms Builder) to generate the reports (local started report server) from DevSuite).
When we start the reports with desformat=delimited the txt-file has only the header row and one data row (instead of multiple ones).
And when we generate the same report with desformat=delimiteddata it looks fine and generates all rows as expected.
We found neither here in the forum or in metalink knowledge base nor on the internet.
Have you any suggestions for us how to fix this problem?
Using delimiteddata is now acceptable solution for us, because delimited is easier to use.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hey folks.
We have solved the problem. :)
We applied PatchSet2 for 10gR2. But we don´t know how the csv-report outputs only 1 data-row instead of several rows.
Than we create a similar report (with the same sql-query) as a new one with the reports builder assistant.
This one works pretty fine. So we looked for the attributes and see the "max. number datasets for each site" and it was in the new one set to 0 and in our old one set to 1.
So we change this and ... the old one works pretty fine! :)
So the problem is, that this attribute does not had any consequences in the old version. But since we update with PatchSet 2 it respect this attribute but we don´t "see" it.
    Hope this helps others.
