Missing Item or Condition Error When opening up the Worksheet

I Removed four columns from the Business Area and also removed the selected items from the Worksheet
When I try opening up my discoverer report it gives error that
" Missing Item or condition" - " Do you want to substitute another item, ignore this message or cancel opening this workbook"
Am i missing something?

If one of the removed columns is used in a condition or calculation, this can occur. It might also happen if there are parameters based on the removed column. Removing columns from a worksheet will not remove them from conditions and calculations.
Ignore the message, then look a bit deeper to see where the deleted item has been used.

  • #ref error when opening two linked worksheets at the same time

    Dear all,
I've two workbooks (A and B) wich some cells are linked between them.
The problem is that if I open A workbook, links works great taking the values from B, but if I open B (i mean, both workbooks opened at the same time), at the A workbook I see #ref error in the formula.
If I manually replace #ref for its previuos value, (in this case is the name of the sheet) it works!
I've several workbooks acting this way with several links between them, so replacing manually each time is not an option.
    Can someone help me please?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
First, please check whether the file extension is correct. If in Excel 2010, the file extension will be .xlsx, in Excel 2003, it will be .xls.
This problem occurs if the workbook that you open was last saved in a version of Excel that is earlier than the version that you are currently using to open the
workbook. This problem occurs because the newer version of Excel forces a complete recalculation of all open workbooks that were previously saved in an earlier version of Excel, regardless of the link update status. To fully recalculate a workbook, Excel forces
updates of all external references. This behavior occurs even after you decide not to update those links when you are prompted. Excel updates the workbook calculation chain to the current version of Excel. If the external link sources are unavailable, Excel
cannot calculate correctly. Therefore, Excel returns #REF! errors. This is also true of DDE links that are unavailable during the recalculation process.
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Make sure that external link sources are available before you open the workbook
    Update or remove links
Permanently remove the link formula, and then replace it with the value

  • Financial Reporting producing errors when opened through the workspace

We have just upgraded our environment to 11.1.2.2 from 11.1.2.1 in our test environment and are experiencing issues with a few of our reports.  These reports are working correctly in our 11.1.2.1 production environment but produce the following error in 11.1.2.2 test:
    ;nested exception is:java.lang.NullPointerException
There seems to be no pattern as to which reports produce the error, the error will pop up across all our applications.

Check with the data sources for those reports whether they are correctly pointing.
Also, check with FR logs from weblogic domain & services folder to see they give more clarity on the issue.

  • Error when opening an RFC connection

    Hello Team,
We are facing "Error when opening an RFC connection" when we are executing RFC . I checked JCO connections . its working . What could be the reason ?
    Regards,
    Mayank

    Hi Santosh,
But If I will delete or rebind again , it may happen that I miss some mappings and it will create other errors then. As I mentioned earlier from code perspective it was working good. We had Host name migration and it stopped working. I guess I am or Basis is missing some configuration. What do you think Playing with Model will be a good idea ?

  • CF 8 CFPDF "Merged" document throws 131 Error when opened in Acrobat

We are using CF 8 on Windows Server 2003 platform.
Any CFPDF "Merged" documents are throwing 131 Errors when opened in Acrobat
Tried re-saving the documents on local machine and still same problem. Tried opening in multiple versions of Acrobat, same problem.
Individual documents created are opening without issue. It is Only when these documents are merged that this error occurs.
We do not experience this behavior in our CF 10 environment.
We are a Big, Slow moving enterprise here so not much chance of getting our CF 10 environments promoted to meaningful production use soon.
Found virtually nothing in HelpX and nothing online of any value regarding this issue.
Has anyone else experienced the issue noted in the title of this discussion?
Has anyone a work around or solution?

I am getting the same error even in Acrobat version 8.1.3.
Additionally, I noticed that if we click on menu ‘Advanced->Sign&Certify->Preview Document’, then we get a notification as “This document is not PDF/SigQ compliant and may display inconsistently”. On clicking  ‘View report’ on that notification, the below dialog pops up. It has errors listed as:-
Code 4000 : Unrecognized PDF content. The document contains PDF content or custom content not supported by the current version of Acrobat.
Code 4002: PDF content contains erros.
However, if we sign the PDF using default adobe signature functionality and reopen that PDF, the error does NOT come and the notification also says ‘This document is PDF/SigQ compliant’.
Can anybody please suggest what could be missing in the custom sign that we apply? Is it because of any of the missing fonts or any other resources?
    Awaiting reply!
    Regards.

  • WORKLOAD ANALYSIS (INTROSCOPE DATA) - Error when opening an RFC connection

    Hi all SDNers,
Help is needed on error "WORKLOAD ANALYSIS (INTROSCOPE DATA) - Error when opening an RFC connection".
This error occured on RCA -> Extractor FWK administration and go to managed system (PI) and from the log, i can see some extraction failed due to error message " Error when opening an RFC connection"
consequently, JAVA performance data is not appearing in RCA -> workload analysis but work fine for ABAP and adapter engine.
I've followed below notes and perform the troubleshooting step by step by still to no avail:
Note 1332428 - Missing data in service sessions from BI/CCDB
Note 1257308 - FAQ: Using EarlyWatch Alert
    Note 1274287 - End-to-End Diagnostics 7.0 EHP1 SP18 to SP27
Note 1265070 - Diagnostics - Setup of Managed Systems
    Note 1010428 - End-to-End Diagnostics
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMSETUP/WorkloadAnalysis-Noapplicabledatafound
    steps that have performed:
    restarted agent
enlarge RFC resource cap for solmandiag and none
delete entire SID in SMSY and pull again from SLD, re-setup managed system
    restart PI system
i've spent 2 days on troubleshooting this issue but lack of information in SMP and SDN, even in google.
in table E2E_EFWK_STATUS and extractor E2E_JAVA_EXTRACTOR_IF, i see all WLI_ID ended with RC 96, MESSAGE = Error when  opening an RFC connection and LASTRECORDS = 0
I strongly believe this is the issue that causing no applicable data found for JAVA data.
fyi, we are on SOLMAN EHP1 SPS27.
Any kind advise is most welcome.
    Thanks,
    Nicholas Chang

Gosh! at last i found the solution!!
I appreciate those who tried to help and i''m sharing the solution as i believe this is the purpose of SDN Forum and help others Netweaver Chap who facing the same problem:
    Problem faced:
Extractor failed intermittently for WORKLOAD ANALYSIS (Introscope Data) due to error message "Error when opening an RFC connection"
Due to the above error, performance data is not available in RCA workload analysis for J2EE engine.
    Possible Solution:
    1) Ensure both webadmin & SOLMANDIAG RFC working fine -> SM59 -> TCP/IP
    2) go to SE16 -> E2E_RESOURCES and change the resourcecap to 10 for SOLMANDIAG
    3) go to /smd/services -> Diagnostic System -> Advanced Setup -> Abap connectivity -> Connection Configuration and change server count to 10
    4) Restart webadmin (step 3 & 4 can perform in VA too)
    5) set gw/keepalive &  gw/reg_keepalive to value 0 in RZ11 (without reboot of instance)
    5) again go to SM59 -> TCP/IP -> SOLMANDIAG and put in the gateway host and gateway service correctly, don't leave this empty!!!! -
    > This is the main solution to solve intermittent failed RFC for extractor.
Now, go back and monitor the extractor log and you should see no RFC error anymore and wait for 1 hour for the data to populate.
    Thanks!

  • Javascript error when opening CS3 on pc..?

I cannot open ID on my CS3 package using my pc. The error appears twice in a box on screen stating
    'JavaScript Error'
    'Error Number 45'
    'Error string :Object is Invalid'
    'Line 387'
    also
    'JavaScript Error'
    'Error Number 45'
    'Error String; Object is Invalid'
    'Line 428'
there was a problem initially due to program plug-ins reported missing so i tried going onto 'Help' and clicking on 'Configure Plug-Ins' from the drop down menu.
Not sure what i did.. but now i cannot use ID as it shuts down after the javascript errors are reported.
    Anyone help?

    hi

i tried to reinstall INDESIGN only... didnt work same problem.
i tried by uninstalling INDESIGN and then reinstalling it only.... didnt work same problem.
I guess im going to have to do a full reinstall.. not a problem, do i need to contact yourselves to get clearance for a reinstallation?
I had a hard drive crash about 6 months ago and had to reinstall, had to phone Adobe and get an online clearance as id exceeded my sole installation for my CS3 hard copies.

Subject: Javascript error when opening CS3 on pc..?
I'd bet the original scenario was something like you tried to open a file and saw a message that you were missing plugins, or they were out of date, and that you should update or upgrade. That's the typical message you get when you try to open a file saved from a newer version of ID. Unfortunately it's quite misleading -- nothing you do to the plugins will help you in that case, and trying to use newer versions would be disastrous.
You should be able to selectively reinstall just ID. If you have the DVD you can run the installer and do a "Repair" installation, and if that doesn't work, you should be able to uninstall ID, then reinstall without removing the whole suite. If that still doesn't work, bite the bullet, uninstall everything and run the clean script (http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb402767&sliceId=1), then reinstall. I'm not sure what happens with a downloaded installer, but I suspect it works the same. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that to uninstall from a download you need to have it in the same location as was originally used for the installation.

  • Bex Web designer. Java ccommunication error. Error when opening rfc connec

    Dear All,
Whenever we open Bex web designer we get a error message box " Java communication error : Error when opening rfc connection"
This error seems to be due to incorrect BW and Portal configuragtion.
Can anybody let me how to correct the error by doing the right BW and portal configuration. I serached many documents as well as in sdn but no concrete procedure is provided. I am in need of urgent help regarding this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Warm regards
    Mazdul

In one of the notes therre was a link. I opened the link in my portal server. There was a check list where all the conditions that were not met were marked with red. I corrected most of them according to the check list. Now the error is due to SSO  not configured properly.
BEX should work fine when this is done.
    Warm Regards

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

There was no change in configuration and all of a sudden, I can not connect to GC. I did notice that OC4J for OC4J_EM is down and I can't get it to go "Alive". Can someone run opmnctl status and print the output for me?

    Hi Bruno,
We were able to resolve the issue. SAP RDS is assisting us with our upgrade and one of their consultants gave us this fix/workaround.
Edit and add an entry into P:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\data\reginfo.dat on your BW host server.
Below is the entry I added.
    P TP=<NAME OF PROGRAM ID> HOST=<remote hostname where you creating the RFC to> CANCEL=<remote hostname> ACCESS=*
    P TP=CTSAPNPSCI_PORTAL_FPS HOST=ctsapnpsci CANCEL=ctsapnpsci ACCESS=*
Then in BW system goto smgw > goto > Expert Funtions > External Security > ReRead ACL (N) & Globally
I hope that this works for you.

  • Error when opening an RFC connection (LB : Hostname or service of the messa

    Hi All,
Im trying to transport datasources in BW, they are 7.x  RSDS datasources. but we did not change the source system, it was existing and we are using the same source for older BW version. we now installing new BW 7.x system.
These  transports went fine in BQ system but failing in BP system with the below error :
Error when opening an RFC connection (LB : Hostname or service of the message ser
Error when activating DataSource 2LIS_17_I0NOTIF RP1CLT100
Error when opening an RFC connection (LB : Hostname or service of the message ser
Error when resetting DataSource 2LIS_17_I0NOTIF RP1CLT100 to the active version
the datasource 2LIS_17_I0NOTIF is active in RP1CLT100 system. when this transport goes to prod it tries to overwrite the existing one, as there are no changes to the datasource the structure will be the same.
but after that it cant able to activate that datasource.
so my question is can we able to activate this datasource in RP rather than doing transport again from R/3 Dev---R/3 PRD.
    i tried RSDS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL but it doesn't help.
another question is when we migrate from 3.x datasource to 7.x, does this change any metadata in R/3 system as well.
    Best Regards
    Robyn.

    Hi Rizwan,
Looking at the error message it seems like there is some issue with RFC connection and whatever objects you are trying to move are not reaching to target system. Just have a check with basis team.
Once you migrate DS from 3.x to 7.0 yes there will be some meta data changes e.g. the DS type will be changed from ISFS to RSDS. You will have to send the migration along with current data source.

    Durgesh.
