MISSING JFP1/JFP2 connection pins (pics)

Just got my new MSI motherboard and started installing everything, and come to the final part of connecting all the jumpers and find there are none.... So apart from reaching inside my case and pressing the power button, I think im stuffed.
Board is a P67A-GD53 (B3) bought from ebuyer.
Am I missing something obvious here, or is this a manufacturing defect?
Thanks!

Have a look at the MSI photo. http://www.msi.com/pic/product/five_pictures1_2315_20110218180732.jpg
If you zoom in on that area, it looks exactly the same as yours. JFP1 and 2 are right next to the blank provisioning. Those blank areas are probably used on the upper end of the board series.
I didn't see (pay attention to) the capped JFP connectors in his screenshot.
But I wasn't kidding with the pirated mainboards.
Many customers got (and still get) fooled.

  • JFP1 & JFP2 Problems

    Quick stupid question.
I built a system for a client, he has a K7N2-V motherboard, The system was working fast, it was great.  I shipped it to him.  UPS banged it, the JFP1, JFP2. connectors for the front lights, the power led wires, the power switch wires, and the speaker wire came out.
He has the instruction manuel.  It is very diffacult for me to explain to him how to put them back together.
The case is a raidmax scorpio.   Can someone please help me identify how they go back together.  I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thank you in advance.

you can d/l that manuel on the msi site...any k7n2 manuel will work...the pin cfg's are all the same.http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/manual/mnu/spt_mnu_detail.php?UID=393

  • SSO is not working - User is missing credentials for connecting to alias

    Dear Experts,
I am facing a strange problem in SSO with reference system user mapping.  I have configured reference system user mapping for accessing R/3 for ESS/MSS and transactional iviews along with UWL.  The SSO was configured 2 months ago and was working fine till yesterday.
Since this Monday, (2 days), the system connection tests are failing on connector.  But, ESS/MSS & Transaction iviews with SAP Logon tickets are working fine. But, while trying to access UWL tasks, SSO is failing. Following is the error message -
    "Exception occured Exception type:com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.connect.ConnectorException Message:Tue Aug 11 09:46:58 CEST 2009
(Connector) :com.sap.portal.connectivity.destinations.PortalDestinationsServiceException:User is missing credentials for connecting to alias <Aliassystem>. Contact your system administrator. "
I have created a destination for the respective backend in Visual Admin > node >  services > Destinations as some tasks are not visible in UWL as per Note-  1133821, 2 weeks ago.It was working fine till yestreday. While testing from destinations, for Connected User(SAP Logon ticket Assertion ticket) , getting the error message  -
Error During ping operation:Ticket contain no/an  emplty ABAP user id(refer note 1159962). The destination is successfully connected with configured user.
But from the Tracecollector logs, I can see that the mapped user is set in the SAP Logon ticket and the User <ABCD> is existing in the target ECC system. More over, the SSO with refence system user mapping is working fine for ESS/MSS and Transaction based iviews. It is failing only for UWL tasks and also in system connection tests for connector. ITS was failing since the beginning.WAS is successful even now.
    Trace file info -
Mapped user [ABCD] set in SAP Logon Ticket. The authenticated user is [<portaluserid>]. Authentication stack: [ticket]..
    The created ticket is:
    [Ticket [initialized]
      Ticket Version  = 0
      Ticket Codepage =  (Encoding=1100)
      User = <ABCD>
      Issuing System ID    = EPD
      Issuing System Client = 000
      Creation Time = 200908110746
      Valid Time    = 8 h 0 min
      Signature (length=261 bytes)
I checked tcode SSO2 in ECC system and it is ready for accepting the logon tickets.  The strange thing is single sign on is working for ESS/Transactional iviews and not for UWL. Second thing is UWL was working fine till yesterday morning and stopped working now with SSO problems.
Can you pls advise where to look for fixing the SSO - missing user details for UWL destination?
    regards,

  • 4.0EA3 missing "Oracle" in Connections dialog

I use SQL Developer on a Windows 7 machine.  I always install to a folder "C:\Program Files\Oracle\SQL Developer\".  When I update to a new version, I rename the folder for the existing version from "SQL Developer" to something like "SQL Developer 4.0.0.12" and name the folder for the new versin "SQL Developer".  This way, I keep an old version if I want it for anything and my desktop shortcuts are automatically pointing to the new version.
Well, this time, when I installed 4.0EA3 I found I could not connect to any DB.  The "Oracle" tab was missing in the connections dialog.  I only had "Access" and "JBDC".  Well, I finally realized, that this was only an issue when I saved the new version to the folder with the same name that the old version had.  If I run it from a folder called "SQL Developer 4.0.0.13" it works fine.  This hasn't been an issue with any prior version.
I tried not importing the settings from the prior version, but I still have the same issue.  The "Oracle" tab is missing.
So, is there something I need to do to make 4.0EA3 work in a folder with the same name as the prior version had?

Sorry, I may not have been clear.  I did remove the existing directly entirely before doing the install.  That is, I renamed that directory. Then created a new directory with the same name. So, both version should are still distinct.
If the folder is called "SQL Developer", I don't have the "Oracle" tab.  If I rename the folder to something else, then run SQL Developer, the "Oracle" tab is present.  If I then change the folder name back, the tab is again gone.  The contents of the folder rename unchanged each time I try this.

  • I am missing the internet connection icon under my systems.  How do I get it back?

I am missing the internet connection icon under my systems.  How do I get it back?  I am trying to eliminate an unvalid gmail account and add my new gmail account for work.  It exists already so I don't want to create one.  I can't get my computer to switch from the unvalid account.  Per YouTube I need this application to set up Safari to switch between accounts.   Help please!

If you are on a Mac, you can connect to a network either using WiFI or an Ethernet cable. These are both available under System Preferences.
What are you referencing as 'Internet' connection?

  • Cannot find the Power Led connector for JFP1 to connect on K8N Neo FSR

    Hi,
I have just bought the MSI K8N Neo FSR (MS 7030) to build a new computer with (amongst others) an Athlon 64 3000 processor and an Enermax 3051 case.
I can't even get a start: if I click on "Power" I just get a red light under the Power button for 1 second and nothing start.
This may be related with the fact that I did not find a "Power LED" connector for JFP1 (I have connected all the others connectors, including the Power LED one for JFP2).
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Precisions:
At the beginning, I had forgotten to connect the ATX 12V power connector on JPW1.
After having done that without getting an improvement, I did a Clear CMOS (after having unplug the power cable).
Now the CPU fan begins to turn just when I switch the power on from back of the case (and not from the power button) and stops turning after five seconds.
Sometimes, I get an orange light during 1/2 second on the D-bracket LEDs.

evidently if he fixed it, the solution was posted elsewhere
so what have you tried so far? has this system ever worked?
post your PSU specs. try powering up board outside the case in case there is a short somewhere
I have tried a different power unit, different JFP1 configerations, removing and replacing MB battery, changing the jumper settings on JBAT1 to clear CMOS.
Everything is just dead, no power anywhere. I get the fan light inside the Power unit to light up for 1 second when i connect the power cable and thats it. Its a 450 Watt power unit so it should be plenty. Maybe i will try removing the board and starting it that way.
This system has never worked, i just built it.

  • Connected pins vs topology

    Hi,
    I'm currently using a PXI-2529 matrix with a 8x16 topology.
According to the connection schema found in NI switch help (see pic attached), if I connect R7 to C15 I should have pins C16 and C6 connected to C10. Right ?
But when I test the continuity between these pins, I only have C6 and C10 connected... just like if the 2 banks were not connected together as the topology implies...
    Is this normal ?

    Hey zyl7,
Are you using the TB-2635 terminal block, which configures the topology?  If not, you'll need to manually wire the topology as indicated in the NI Switches Help»Devices»NI PXI/PXIe-2529»2-Wire 8x16 Matrix Topology.  From that document:
"If you do not use the NI TB-2635 terminal block, short the pins externally to achieve a 2-wire 8x16 matrix topology."  Under that sentence is a table of pins you'll need to connect.  For example, B24 and B14.

  • K7N2GM-V Front Panel Connectors JFP1/JFP2

    Hiya
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but this is my first build and first post to this forum!
I cannot figure out which cable (wire) connects to which pin at JFP1. I need to know which way the pins needs to be connected.
ie HDD Led (pin1/pin3), which color goes where? (pin1: white  / pin3: red) etc
The colors I have from the case is as follows:
    Power Led:      white/green
    Power Switch:  white/orange
    Reset Switch:   white/blue
    HDD Led:         white/red
    Speaker:          red/black
The CPU is positioned correctly, the 4pin power attached. Monitor connected to onboard video. When I turn on the power, the monitor does not respond, the CPU fan works fine. The front LEDs (greeen and red) is on and steady, no activity.
Hope someone can help me out...
    Thanks in advance.

"...12V@15A..." This could be the reason. Try a better P.S. with 18A. or more to 12v. rail. Also 20A. to 3.3v. rail is poor. What CPU is installed ?
Well, I went for overkill and got a Antec 500w PSU
    +3.3V@32A, +5V@35A, +12V1@17A, +12V2@19A, [email protected], +5VSB@2A
But my issues are still the same, the PC starts up, CD-ROM works, CPU Fan works, but no joy with the Monitor. Tried both onboard Video and a working Video card.
Any further suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated!

  • What is the cure for "hardware id missing" when I connect my S3 into W7 compuer via USB

In an attempt to use Kies, I have plugged my Galaxy S3 into my Windows 7 computer, but I get an error message:  "hardware id missing" and I cannot use Kies.  For basic functions, I use MyPhoneExplorer, but Kies is supposed to offer much more support, including firmware updates.

Have you gone into Settings to verify that your ipod is connected to some router?  Have you logged in with the security code (if there is one defined for that router)?  If it says the internet connection is offline, then the ipod is not properly connecting to the internet.  Perhaps the router is the problem - new iDevices require routers have the latest firmware.  Older appliances might connect through them, but many users have found that their routers don't work with newer devices.
Try doing this again at some public wifi area as a test.

  • Ultiboard - connecting pins to each other on footprint

I have a shielded connector with two mounting screws.  Both screws are connected to the shield, so if I want to ground it I only have to connect my GND net to one of the hole pads.  It doesn't matter which one, because they are common to the shield.
    My setup:
In Ultiboard, the footprint has two pads - one for each of the mounting screws.
In Multisim, my symbol has one pin for the shield.  I've mapped that pin to both of the Ultiboard footprint pads.
    Now my problem:
In Ultiboard, the GND net connects to both of the footprint pads.  I've attached one to a GND trace, but not the other.  So Ultiboard constantly throws a DRC error because I have a pin that's not connected.  I know that I can manually disconnect the pin from the net, but I think there must be a way of doing this automatically.  What I mean is, how can I group two pins together on the footprint so that either one can be used to connect to a net?  Maybe this is pin swapping, but it looks to me like I can only do pin swapping in Multisim and then only if my symbol has multiple pins that are the same.  I have a few components like this, and I want to set them up in the database so that when you place them on a board, you don't have to manually remove any pins.
I'd appreciate any advice.  Thanks so much.

From the point of view of EMC, it is NOT advisable to connect only one pin of a connector housing to GND. Connecting all pins will yield lowest impedance between any point of the housing and GND. Even if you measure 0 ohms with an ohmmeter (which uses DC for measurement), this does not mean that the impedance is just as low for RF, or in other words, there might be (unnecessary and unwanted) inductivity.
"Pin swapping" means that you can swap pins, say, of a multiple-input AND gate. If you see that it would be more convenient to connect a different input to a certain signal than indicated in the schematics, you can swap the input in questions with another one. You will have to re-annotate this from the board to the schematics.

  • InDesign Crashing on file open - Missing Font / Network Connection Lost

For starters I am using InDesign 5.5  When I open the file, either by clicking on the file through finder or or opening it through indesign I get the following error message:
The document "file name.indd" uses one or more fonts which are not currently available on your system.
I can't press either Find Font or OK - wheel spins then after 30 seconds or so and then I get the message:
The network connection was lost for the file "file name.indd", or the file was modified by another process.
Press OK. Nothing happens. Activity monitor says Indesign is using 100% of the cpu and not responding. The file is on my local machine and nothing has changed on it since the last time I opened it without issues 3 days ago. I'm not running anything that could be using the file or any of the images the file uses.  I have downloaded and installed the font that was missing and the error message hasn't changed.  Any ideas?

Try the option: save a copy for duplicate a file

  • Re: Satellite P200-137 missing second harddrive connection

My Satellite P200-137 is missing its second harddrive connection. Regarding the manual and the specifications there should be a second connection, but when I opened the second drive bay the only thing I saw was an empty space for the drive and some solder connections, but no sockets to plugin the drive.
Is this normal: does the 137 model only have one functioning harddisk connection? Is it possible to get the second drive-socket attached?

    > Regarding the manual and the specifications there should be a second connection
I think you didnt read the manual properly ;)
It says that this option is available on certain models
Fact is that a same notebook series can be equipped with different hardware parts.
So the specifications are always different.
The P200 series seems to support different motherboards and some motherboards are not outfitted with two HDD controllers. So the notebook supports tow HDD bays but the second HDD controller is available.
Yes, this is a little bit confusing but its definitely nothing wrong with your notebook ;)
