Missing left and right sides of movies

Why am I not seeing the full left and right sides of movies, converted using instant handbrake, during playback in itunes or on ipod touch and classic?

On the iPod touch, to show the whole video, double touch the screen while it's playing.
As for the other iPod and iTunes, I don't know.

P.S.
If the iPod touch thing that I said doesn't work, then I don't know what to do.
Actually, did you happen to mess with the cropping settings while using hadbrake?

  • Display resolution is different left and right sides

Hi, my HP G42 laptop now has a different display resolution on the left and right sides. The left half seems to have less resolution than the right side, the right side looks like it's in HD, the left side looks washed out. I'm not sure if it is a hardware issue or a setting/software issue. The first time it appeared was after a windows 7 update was completed and installed, I'm not sure if that was just a coincidence. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It works but is very annoying to look at.
    Thank you,
    Ray

    Hi Ray_M,
Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that you are having a problem with two different resolutions on each half of your screen. The easiest way to determine where the problem lies is to connect it to an external monitor. If the image is normal then we know it is an issue with the display screen but if the issue occurs on the external monitor then we know it is a problem with the drivers or the video card itself.
What is the product number for your g42? There are a number of different models in that series.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue.

  • It it possible to have info on the left and right sides of iweb templates?

When I look at my iweb website there is empty space on the left and right sides of my screen. I was wondering if this space could be used at all?

    Hi
You can increase the width of your Page, go into Inspector, Page Tab. From here you can adjust the Content Width, which is the width of your page, the bits that you see on the left and right are fillers, for people who's browsers are set bigger than your site. You can change the color that shows by changing the Browser Background.
In the good 'ole days, most people had screens that were only 800 W x 600 H, but these days most people have at least 1024 W x 768 H (some do, no doubt still have 800x600). So, 1024 is really the max width you can go, dont forget that you need to leave some space for the browser as well, and the scroll bars.
But pages this big are wider than normal, the best thing to do is experiment and see what works for you.

  • IPad2: After upgrad to iOS 8, video output lost left and right side

I have a cable for my iPad2, once plugged in the bottom slot, it outputs video to TV Component port and audio to my amplifier. It's been working for years. After iOS 8 upgrade, I notice the video output lost left and right side. It's like
[before iOS 8]     Apple iPad is a wonderful product for me.
[after upgrade]             iPad is a wonderful product
The "Apple" on the left, and "for me." on the right of screen is gone in output.

I can get them on the page but I'd like them on the left and right sides.

If the icons are from dmg files that were used to install 3rd party apps like this one for VueScan
Control (right) - click on the open dmg icon and select "Eject  xxxx" from the contextual window.
Then find the actual dmg file associated with those icons
and drag to the Trash in the Dock and empty.

  • Opened a .ai file, found that left and right side are cut off (landscape vs. regular the issue?)

Information all in the title.  I open a .ai file and the left and right sides of the image are cut-off based on the "page" box

Did you open it in a lower version?
It looks like you opened the PDF part of the file instead of the AI part.

  • IMovie crops-truncates-cuts-deletes left and right area of ".mov" movie!!!

iMovie crops-truncates-cuts-deletes left and right area of mov movie!!!
I am using iMovie 8.05 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 on Mactel. Is that iMovie '09. The dual-naming is utterly confusing.
    OK, here is my problem:
When I import a ".mov" file (generated by screen movie capture via Internet using Snapz Pro X) into iMovie, it shows complete on the lower pane (event timeline). Yet, when I drag from the event timeline pane it to the top left pane (project), the movie shows truncated-cropped (the left and right parts of the screen are not shown). That is, such left and right areas are deleted!
Is this a bug? How to fix it?
    Thanks.

    Update:
I have seen that I can use the "Window - Cropping..." menu to fit, crop and ken burns, yet if I choose to fit, then all the movie is included which is what I want, but also black areas are shown on top and bottom of the movie which I do not want. Is there a way to delete such black areas?
If instead I try to use crop or ken burns, I cannot include all the movie area, because the real area of the movie is much wider than the area that the iMovie frame allows. Is there a way to select beyond the default area on the left and right, to really include all the movie?
    Thanks.

  • How to fill up my laptop screen with Firefox horizontally as it currently has a 3" margin on the left and right sides?tly has a

I just purchased a 17.3" screened-laptop using MS Outlook and Explorer 9 Browser. I cannot use Firefox as my default Browser because I cannot get Firefox to fill up my screen. When I open up Firefox, it maintains a large 3" margin on the left and right sides which does not exist when I open up Explorer 9. Increasing the font size only increases the text size vertically but does nothing to decrease the margin size horizontally.

You can use this extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages:

  • Left and right side of screen does not register mouse clicks.

The left and right side of my screen (when maximized) does not register a mouse click. I would estimate about 10 to 15 pixels in (top to bottom) before a button will register a click.
If I work with in firefox not maximized everything works fine. As it stands I have had to add buttons to the left and right side of my Firefox navigation area to utilize the back and home button. I am also not able to use my scroll bar do to this situation with out connecting an external mouse.
Operating system: Windows 7 Professional (64bit)
    Resolution 1280x800
Computer: HP TouchSmart tm2 (1070us series)
This laptop does have the touchpad type mouse, I do not think this is the problem though as it will work if firefox is not maximized.
Assistance with this would be appreciated. I Love firefox but this is to much of an annoyance to deal with continually.

Not sure if its ever overheated... I've never left it in a hot car if thats what you mean. Sometimes it gets very hot if I'm using EDGE for a while. I don't push hard which is why I don't think I caused it...
I will bring it in this weekend and see what they say.
I also think that the speakerphone sounds fuzzy and muffled a lot more than it did when I first bought it. So just another reason to bring it in.

  • Dead Space on left and right side

Is there any way to get rid of the dead space on the left and right hand sides? Thanks.

    Hi there,
you can't completely get rid of the dead-space on the left and on the right. But you can increase the content width thus reducing the dead space.
Select the page in iWeb, Open the Inspector, Go to the Page tab (second from the left) and select Layout, increase the number displaying under Content width (everything up to 950 should be alright but note that for some templates it doesn't work so good 'cause they weren't built to be increased... I hope they change that somewhen...)

My mouse has suddenly started lagging when moving up and down. Left and right movement seems fine. in fact, it's perfect. I tried changing the tracking speed to no avail. it sped up the left and right movement, but "up and down" still remain sketchy. HELP!!

    Hi Torrence,
You may have to suffer until you can get to your local artist's products store.   There you should be able to buy square metres of fine matt black felt (maybe in a shop selling materials too).   This makes an excellent and inexpensive base that looks good too.   Have used it for years.
Lay it on your desk and hold it in position with some double sided sticky tape.

  • Why does iphoto want to chop off the left and right sides of the photo I'm trying to print?

Trying to print a group photo.  Using the borderless setting, I still always lose half of the persons at the end of the rows.  Why won't iphoto allow me to print the entire picture?

It actuallyhelps if you provide details including version of iPhoto and of the OS and what you are doing
with absolutely nothing but a problem my guess is that the print size is a different ratio than the photos size so somehting has to be left off - for example you can not print an 8x10 photo on a 4x5 piect of paper - depending on the camera you have your photos are either in a 3:2 ratio or a 4:3 ratio - the paper must be the same - or you must crop the photos to the paper size - or you must go to the customize screen and right click on the preview and fit to frame
onc eyou provide basic information more specific help can be provided
