Missing lense profiles

After upgrade from LR4 to LR5 I have lost most all lense profiles. How can I work out this problem ?

Adobe has only created a raw lens profile for the Nikon 24-120mm. That means no lens profile is available for TIFF, PSD, JPEG, or any other non-raw file format.
You will find the provided lens profiles on Windows 7 here:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0
Lens profiles ending in -RAW.lcp only work with raw files.

  • ACR missing lens profile

In trying to use lens adjustments the Canon 500/4L IS lens is missing from the list.  The 400mm & 600mm lenses are in the list.
Where do I find profiles for missing lenses?
    jn

    Check online for updates.
We've tried to profile the lenses we have (including many personal lenses) - but we don't have a complete database.
We've even rented lenses to get a good set of the most popular lenses - but rental agencies don't have a complete set, either.
So, we're still working on it.

  • Missing user profiles in mysites

I have a question about missing user profiles in our Mysites. We have an SP2013 environment with a number of site collections and sub-sites and occasionally, we are finding that some users are missing their profile. If we click on their user name, in a link
on a page or library, we are directed to a plain page with some very basic information, not our typical user profile page that looks more like SP2013 styling.
Even though the profiles are missing, I find that it is easier to add them from PowerShell, through a script, than to go into the central admin and add them manually, however this brings up a question:
Is there a quick and easy way to determine if a user has a profile?
Currently, I run a script that cycles through each user of each group of each web of each site collection, and checks to see whether that account has a profile. The problem here is that this is a very time-consuming process and many accounts get checked
more than twice if they exist in multiple groups. If the user does not have a profile, I create one.
Is there a faster way to determine if a user has a valid profile, rather than running a check on each user every time? With thousands of users, this script will take a long time to run and create a higher than desired load on our server.

In SharePoint 2003 and MOSS 2007 the user profile was created the first time a user accessed the site, but with 2010 that does
not seem to be the case. It either needs to be created through synchronization, programmatically using the API or PowerShell, or it can be created when the user clicks the profile or mysite the first time
If you want to auto-provision the MySites for a the missing users in your case you will need to do this with custom code as
you said you are writing a power shell script more ever it is one time activity so that is good way as well.  You would iterate through the list of users and call either the API, web services, or stsadm if this is a command line script, to create the
    site collections.

  • Missing *.icc profiles

    Hallo,
I've a question to  *.icc Profiles and Adobe Lightroom 3.5. I saved 10 *icc profiles for different types of printing (for example on acrylglas, different photo papers, on aluminium) wich I got from an online printing service. But if I want to select a specific profile for an jpeg export I just got a selection of 6 profiles; 4 profiles are not shown. Any idea why?
    With kind regards
    F. Oerters

    Thanks for Your reply.
I checked the directory - all correct. No profiles under "include" display profiles2
I took another look at the *.icc files - the four missing files are the biggest ones; all 1.830 kb. All other files's size is max. 1.449 kb. Maybe this is the reason that the files are not shown by LR 3.5; maybe they are just to big ?
When I take a look at the  "More like this" Section on this webside - Missing printing profiles seems to be an known problem in LR and PS ?
    Frank
    P.S. (one minute later...)
Searching the forum I found this for a similiar question:
"Those are probably cmyk profiles. Lightroom only supports RGB profiles."
I looked at the details of the *.icc profiles and really all the four missing profiles are uses the CYMK  Gamut.
    I think that's the reason.

  • Missing ICC Profile

Where do I locate missing ICC profile?  Printer will not print photo without it.

You simply reinstall your printer driver. Other than that that could be permissions issues where the profile is not accessible. Still, most printers wil lhappily print without profiles, so I'm certain your printer will, too. you have some reading up to do on your printer settings and color management...

  • Canon 60D w/ EF-S 15-85 IS USM missing lens profile in Lightroom 4

This is a Canon kit combination and it seems odd that it's not included in the Canon profile for lens correction.  The EF-S 10-22 IS USM is there which is not a kit lens and quite expensive.  Am I missing a step or do I have to download additional lenses from Adobe?  I'd rather not get into downloading someone's guess from the profile creator if I can avoid it.

It is included, but it's a raw-only profile.
There are also two on the downloader, one of which I produced.  It has nothing to do with guessing.

  • Removing Photoshop Elements 9 caused missing lens profiles in Lightroom 3.3

After my trial on Photoshop Elements 9 expired I removed it from my Windows Vista system.  The next time I started Lightroom 3.3 I tried to apply a Canon lens profile to some new images and the profile was missing, not only was it not on the list, none of the 862 images taken with this lens had the profile applyed to them anymore.  I tried to repair the installation and it failed saying I was missing components.  I then tried to upgrade to RC 3.4 & it failed with the same message.  I finally thought it might have been caused by the removal of Photoshop Elements so I went to the restore point that it did prior to removal.  Now I have the lens profile back that was missing the Canon EF28-135mm profile as well as to the other 862 images.  My question is should there be anything else I should look for to see if it is missing or damaged?  Thanks - Larry

    Larry,
The common part between LR and PSE is the Camera Raw part (ACR). It's settings are contained in 2 different locations:
    1) General ACR configuration files:
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw
This directory contains lens and camera profiles installed with LR
    2) User related configuration files:
    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw
    This directory usually contains:
    Downloaded/created lens profiles
ACR defaults (like ACR cache size, any defaults set in LR)
    Downloaded/created camera profiles
You might want to check the content of those 2 locations. One other alternative would be to uninstall and re-install LR, which should take care of the factory supplied profiles.

  • Missing Display Profile

I got this iBook in early September. It's been great except for one thing--the default display profile, Color LCD, goes missing and it reverts to Generic RGB profile in the display preferences. This causes the display to look faded with a bluish tint. The computer has 2 accounts--an admin and a standard account. When I log in under the admin account the display is ok and properly set to Color LCD in the display preferences. The problem seems to occur when I log in under the standard account. It will revert to Generic RGB and the Color LCD profile is not available in the display preferences. I switch back to the admin account and the same setting is in the display preferences--set to Generic RGB and Color LCD is not to be found. Restarting temporarily resolves the problem. I have repaired permissions, but this did not fix it.

You might have to just reinstall the system.
Otherwise I guess try the Calibrate?
    GOD Bless and Good luck.

  • Missing color profiles in Snow Leopard

    Hi,
I did a clean install of Snow Leopard and then migrated from a clone the accounts, network setting and documents. I then reinstalled all of the applications. Everything works just fine but a good number of Color profiles for my printer (Epson Pro 3800) are missing from the Aperture pull down menus. Does anyone know where these live so i can move them over to the new install?
    thanks

I would just reinstall your Epson software from which those profiles most likely came. If you have a full backup of the previous system then you can look for them in the /Library/Colorsync/ or /Home/Library/Colorsync/ folders. If you migrated a Home folder and the profiles were installed in the /Library/Colorsync/ folder then they were not transferred to the new installation.

  • Missing color profile

    Hello,
I am running CS at my job. 4 days ago, Photoshop started asking for color profiles on every single image I open. Most of these images are ones that I have used repeatedly in the past with no errors or missing profile messages.
    My question....?
How do I fix this. I want the images to just open without the stupid window popping up every time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Missing Grayscale profiles for export

I have began to use LR2 for my scanned B&W images. When I export them, the only profile choices are color profiles. So I click Other..., a window pops up with the text "Choose profiles to appear in Custom Profile popup:"
But there is no way to choose profiles - the only option is "Include Display Profiles", which is not what I want - I'm looking for Gray Gamma 2.2.
So I have to export with a color profile, then convert back to Gray 2.2 in Photoshop - not excactly non-destructive.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature? Or am I missing something?

    > ... Am I correct, from your postings that you must export in color to Photoshop CS3, ...
You can create the grayscale image in Lr, but realise that it is still a RGB image, and only Ps can convert it to a "true" grayscale" image. Also realise, that the 2 are entirely equivelent, even if the RGB image file size is 3x larger. Therefore, a RGB grayscale with sRGB embedded is absolutely equivelent to a grayscale image with the "gray 2.2" profile embedded.

  • Photoshop Elements 11/ Missing Color Profile CMYK - Does anybody know why + what to do?

I am missing the color profile CMYK in the elements software I use.
I need to convert some data form RGB to CMYK.
Is there a setting I may change?
    Thanks for helping
    Regards,
    ChrizB

If you only need to do this once, the easiest thing is to ask your printer to do it for you. They'll probably charge you something, but at least it will be done right. Properly converting to CMYK is considerably more complex than, say, converting from sRGB to Adobe RGB. There are a number of third party options for doing this--I think irfanview will do it in windows, and preview does it for macs, but those are pretty basic conversions that don't allow you to adjust for out of gamut colors.

  • Emailed photos missing color profiles

I noticed that all the photos I've sent people from the iPhone look really flat and lifeless.
When I transfer the photos to iPhoto they have the profile sRGB. But if I email them from the Photos app on the phone (at any size) they are missing their ICC color profile.
It means that any work you did editing your photos on the phone will look wrong when uploaded - modern browsers or mail clients that respect color profiles won't have the info to display them properly.
I don't get it, why would Apple include ICC profiles when saving photos but want to strip out the color info when sharing them? Profiles are tiny and don't impact the size, so why remove them?
I'm annoyed that I'll need to use the computer to share my photos properly- doesn't that defeat the purpose of being able to share them right form the phone?

I would just reinstall your Epson software from which those profiles most likely came. If you have a full backup of the previous system then you can look for them in the /Library/Colorsync/ or /Home/Library/Colorsync/ folders. If you migrated a Home folder and the profiles were installed in the /Library/Colorsync/ folder then they were not transferred to the new installation.

  • T61 & Bluetooth missing AVRCP Profile

I'm running Windows 7 on a T61 (type 6459) & ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate.  Driver version 6.2.0.9000.
Problem is the driver seems to be missing AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).  Basically I cannot control playback functionality of bluetooth devices from my computer.  If I take the same devices and put them on older ThinkPad R50 also running Windows 7, the profile is there.
I can only infer a few things:
    1)  This is a 64-bit edition of Windows 7, perhaps the 64-bit bluetooth driver/stack is missing features the 32-bit version has
    2)  This is a different ThinkPad Bluetooth chip than what is in the R50, perhaps the driver features are not bound correctly to the newer hardware
    3)  Another Dell computer with a Rocketfish Bluetooth 2.1+EDR USB adapter (also a broadcom Chip, like the thinkpad) has AVCRP in the 64-bit Windows 7 driver.
    Any thoughts?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I fixed the problem by installing the Bluetooth driver from the T400 series, v6.2.0.9600.
What doesn't make any sense to me is why isn't this driver released for the R/T series?  According to the release notes, v6.2.0.9600 is the first version that supports Windows 7:
    Version 6.2.0.9600
(New) Added support for Windows 7 32-bit, 64-bit.
    Version 6.2.0.7900
[Important] Ended support for the following models.
    ThinkPad R60, R60e, R61, R61e, R61i
    ThinkPad T60, T60p, T61, T61p
    ThinkPad X60, X60s, X60 Tablet, X61, X61s, X61 Tablet
    ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t
    ThinkPad Reserve Edition
    Note:
For those models, use the old version, 6.1.0.5100, of this package
Lenovo supports Windows 7 on most of those models.  Why does Lenovo kill "enhanced" bluetooth support for those models under Windows 7?  It makes no sense to fully support older ThinkPads with offical WIn7 drivers for every other component except Bluetooth (and the 4-in-1 Memory Card reader, which is another gripe).  It's also not optimal for Lenovo to recommend Win7 users to download a driver package that wasn't created with Win7 in mind; especially when the appropriate drivers exist.

  • Missing print profiles

I have a fresh win7 and adobe cc install. Within PS printing options, I am missing many print profiles I once had.  I'm mainly concerned with Adobe1998 not being there to print from. Am I missing a setting?

    1. If you right-click on the profiles in Explorer do you see the option to "install"? If so click it. If you see the option to uninstall, rather than install, you are ok on this point.
    2. In LR's print module, when you click on the Profile option, did you click on Other, and are they displayed in the list when you do this? You will need to checkmark them if they are there. If they are not there, go on to #3.
    3. Do the profiles have extensions of ICC or ICM? If they are ICC, try renaming them to change the extension to ICM and see if that helps.
    4. If none of these suggestions works, maybe someone else can help.
