Missing/Lost volume

After installing Leopard from OS X 10.4.10 my Applications volume is missing. It is listed in Places, but when I click on it, I'm told that it cannot be found. This is serious because this volume contains all of my programs (too many to list here.) I went to Disk Utility to see if that would help but nothing. I have 2 internal hard drives and one external drive. The 2 internal drives were partitioned, so I originally had 4 volumes. The drive that used to contain 2 drives, now only shows 1. How do I recover that volume. I'm desperate! Thanks in advance.

You might have to invest in a more thorough program like [DiskWarrior|http://www.alsoft.com/DiskWarrior> or [TechTool Pro|http://www.micromat.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid =83]. Disk Utility is somewhat limited in it's ability to repair damaged volumes (which is why you get the flashing question mark).

Hi,
I am getting this error when I open my project. In addition, no media will play in the project either in the sequence window or the source window.
It all appears and will scrub (with no audio), but will not play.
I dug around a bit and I found that there is a known bug with audio from XML's and that is what I am using (convinced my client to migrate from FCP to Premiere - please don't tell me I made a mistake).
Everything worked brilliantly for a week, including the addition of audio filters, and then all of a sudden - bang. No more.
I have painstakingly deleted every audio filter and I am still getting this error. I have also tried a re-install.
Another oddity is that when I try to quit Premiere, it will not quit all the way without a force quit!
I'm running CC 2014 on a brand new mac pro.

I follow your advice, but it did not solve the problem. It is true that problems began when I used ZOOM recorder at 98kHz/24 bit in my current project (I already changed ZOOM mode to 48kHz/16 bit), but could this be just a coincidence?
In the meantime I checked the rest of my 16 projects (.prel), which were fine before. To my surprise I found that although all of them were made using EXACTLY the same method, some of them are still OK, but most I can not Playback. The messages appearing are of three types:
1. "Audio Filter missing: Internal Balance".
2. "Audio Filter missing: Internal Volume Stereo".
3. "This type of file is not supported or required codec is not installed".
In one case, when I opened a project the first time, the message was "This type of file is not supported or required codec is not installed", but when I opened it second time it said " Audio Filter missing:Internal Volume Stereo". It seems to be random.
Some projects can be opened, but when I try to Playback there is no sound.
I am completly lost. Please help.

Missing Weight / Volume data in handling unit

Hi; I'm trying to realize automatic packing function for outbound delivery.
System works well after POP1 - creating packing instruction, POF1 packing instruction determination. However, after I change package material master data (Volume / Weight), handling unit is missing weight, Volume data in new created delivery document although packing instruction has been determined.
Checking Packing instruction master data, total weight / volume has been automatically updated. Why new handing unit is missing weight / volume data during automatic packing transaction in delivery?
Is there any things i'm missing? Can anyone help for this? Thanks.

Yes. I was also supposing that HU can automatically calculate weight / Volume from Material master data (package material & packed material). It worked before(the week before last week). Now new generated HU are missing those data. This error is in case on all deliveries.
Even I create new package material / new finish goods and brand NEW packing instruction for testing, HU can be automaticly generated by auto packing button. But they are missing weight / volume data. This problem seems not relevant to master data(package material weight / volume) changes. I'm suspecting system program has some changes but I don't know where it is.
Only when I set indicator at packing instruction - " Maintain Weight manually" or "Maintain Volume Manually", those weight / volume data can be coppied into new generated HU in delivery which is full packed.
System really can automatic calculate weight / volume data directly from Material master data for HU before(not set - "Maintain xxx manually" in packing instruction). What's wrong with it now?

My iphone is missing (lost) and dead and it cannot be located because it is offline. Is there anyway to get it online remotely?

My iphone is missing (lost) and dead (no battery life and needs to be rechaged) We are in the process of moving but I am terrified and canot locate through icloud as it is saying it is offline.
Is there any way at all that i can access it remotely and change the offline to "online" only for a few seconds even so that it can become online again, long enough to play the music that i can find it.

Tricia453 - I can understand you really want to find your lost iPhone. But, this is your third post today asking the exact same question. I'm sorry, but the answer is not going to change no matter how many times you re-post it.
Without the phone being powered on, and connected to a wifi or a cellular data connection there is no way to track it remotely or do anything at all remotely to it. Remote commands and remote tracking require a data connection, which requires your phone be powered on. There is nothing you can do to find it remotely, nothing at all.

File a complaint with Apple for not giving adequate warning before upgrading OS X that it would render PPC programs dead.
That someone at Apple said requiring the iPhone 5 to have 10.8 (10.6.8 is the minimum actually) and in order to remain a loyal Apple customer they need to fix this mess and revert your machine and software back to 10.6.8
You see, 10.6.8 would have ran your iPhone 5 and ran your PPC based software, so whoever told you to upgrade to 10.8 was wrong and they need to fix your machine.
It can be reverted to 10.6.8 yourself.

The earphones must be pushed very hard into the iPod. So hard, that the white part of the plug must touch the iPod in order for the external speakers to turn off. You will hear a click.
If you do a forum search, you will find this same solution. If it does not work, you will need to take your iPod to an apple store or call the Apple iPod tech support if still under warranty or you have Apple Care.

Missing Mounted Volume Issue

I have a Linux Fileserver with netatalk running, I have three sharepoints on this server. The OS X machines have suddenly been unable to see the third sharepoint.
I have been investigating the problem and found that the volume is listed in the Volumes direcotry, and I can list the files, and the rights are correct yet the volume does not appear in the finder or on the desktop. I have repaired permissions and done just about everything I can think of. Has anyone come across anything like this before? Any suggestions about how I might fix this?

E71 music player lost volume control

Hi, my E71 has lost the volume control I was on a plane to LA and had no use of the MP3 player. I re-set the phone and it wasn't repaired.
Looks like the firm ware has lost this and as neither an update or a re-load option available not sure what to do.
Also how do you get the music play to update the libiray as I have deleted the music and it still shows? any ideas would be helpful.

Hi an update in trying different things the volume control worked when I removed the SD card hence I have now re-formated the card and all working.

Hey. I've lost the volume control for my Inspire T5400. Is it possible in any way to "hack" it to make the volume on the loudest? I dont have to be able to lower the volume.. I'll just do that on my pc.

Just change the check after the Lexical Class function. If you just want numbers and letters, then use the In Range & Coerce function to check for class numbers 3 through 5. Play around with the logic some more until you get what you need (I'm thinking that AND should be an OR).

Missing/Lost Songs

I recently downloaded a song onto my iPod Touch. After syncing to my computer, the song disappeared. I've searched for all mp4s on my computer and external hard drives and have searched repeatedly in my iTunes music library, but cannot find the song. I checked on Apple's web site, but they said each paid song is good for only one download, so I won't be able to download it again unless I pay for it again.
Has this happened to anyone else? Can you think of anything I can do to find it outside of searching my computer, iPod and iTunes?

Missing "System Volume Information" from a Drive

Hi,
I am trying to setup FSRM in Windows 2012 and while adding G:\ for file screen, I get the following error. Upon investigating the issue, I found that "System Volume Information" is missing under G:\ and same folder very much exists in C: and other
drives except G:\. Therefore FSRM doesn't allow me to add G:\ for file screening.
Event ID 8197
File Server Resource Manager Service error: Unexpected error.
Error-specific details:
Error: RtlCreateSystemVolumeInformationFolder on volume C:?\Volume{bca40430-5752-11e3-93fe-001dd8b71cad} returned 0x5, 0x8000ffff, Catastrophic failure
Any thoughts and how can I get that folder back so I can configure FSRM?

Hello,
System volume information folder is a very important system folder for the file system to work properly, besides the issue you have with FSRM.
I would reccomend to backup up the entire drive as a precaution. Try to fix FS errors by executing "chkdsk g: /f" (you may temporarily turn system restore off).
In case nothing works, you have always the option to format the Drive and restore the FS structure.

Lost volume and mute screen graphic after various STB settings changes - how to get it back?

Software Release 1.9
Build 10.95
Just got FIOS triple play installed yesterday. I am using STB to control TV volume (had to use remote code 9-5-5 to make that work - STB software settings alone did not work). I need to use the STB for volume because my older TV - SD Mitsubishi - cannot be controled via remote - its remote sensor no longer works. Initailly I had a graphic volume bar on screen - upper right quadrant - when changing Volume or using Mute from the remote - the graphic bar would disappear after about 10 seconds. After exploring and changing some of the STB settings, I noticed that the volume bar no longer displays at all. I'd like it back - but cannot figure out how to get it back. The graphic feedback helps me know that the STB received the command from the remote. The volume function from the remote is working - it is the graphic I am missing.
Does anyone know what STB setting might affect this? Or, is it possible to go back to "default" settings on the STB?
I tried calling Verizon - but they were not helpful - as long as volume control was working, they did not want to help me get the graphic back.
Anyone else encounter this? Thanks in advance...

Thanks for your reply, but Volume Control was already set to Variable. And sorry for the delay in responding - I was trying to figure out if I could repeat (and even fix) the issue - now I have - tho there may be more than one way to do this:
To produce the problem on my setup:
1. While watching TV with no STB graphics on screen - check to see volume control graphic is there by hitting volume button on remote - wait until the graphic goes away.
2. On Remote, hit Favorites button (already set to "Toggle Flip by Favorites") - Info graphic (bottom 1/3 of screen) comes up indicating that I am in "Mode:Favorites 1".
3. On Remote, hit Guide Button
4. On Remote hit Exit Button
Volume / Mute graphic no longer appears when the buttons are pressed on the remote, tho the volume / mute functions do work. I can power off the STB - and still the volume / mute graphics are gone.
To fix:
1. On Remote, hit "On Demand" Button. (Wait for "loading" to finish)
2. On Remote, hit Exit.
Now the volume / mute graphic is visible again!
Hunh???
Is this a bug?
Note: remote is VZ P265v2 RC

Lost Volumes choices in Network - no auto find

I am currently running 10.4.3 on an imac which is connected to a windows 2000 server enviroment for file sharing. In the past, I could click on network and see the multiple volumes within our company's network, log on to the windows volume and mount those drives.
Over the last week, I have lost that capability as no volumes appear for network when I click on netork, I only see server and a local mac machine. I can only connect by going to Go/connect to server in finder to connect to a server
Any idea how I can get the previous function back?
