Missing magic mouse software sought- do you know where it could be?

I purchased a new iMac with 27" inch screen over the weekend at my local Mac store. In the store you could set the mouse so that a tap and doubletap on the mouse surface would work to click and doubleclick the mouse.
Not so on my mouse! Options to activate tap to click are nowhere to be found under system preferences> mouse!
Could the Apple demo machines be using third party software? Is my system software install somehow deficient? I have checked for latest updates with software update and talked with Apple Tech Support without success. Using OS 10.6.2. Thanks for ideas...

The Apple Store iMac demoed to me by an Apple store employee had third party software. That was not a good idea!- without his identifying that the software being demoed, by all appearances a part of the Mac OS, was not a part of the deal.
So I will have to buy additional software to enable my new iMac to do what I thought it would be able to do, based on my visit and consequent purchase at the Apple Store. This is not good.
Apparently the software is called mouse wizard and is found at www.samuco.net
At least I do not have to take my new iMac in for repairs!

Here are some details on the initial launch of that update. It includes a link but reading the last paragraph my guess is that after OS 10.6.2, the update was probably incorporated into the OS.

If possilble yuou can download the virtual MSE and that has an eval license so you can use it for 60 days I believe.

When I got this new PC I did a complete audit. I found that this was kenotify.exe at startup.
Different info I found on the internet say it is essential to the functioning of FN.
I also noticed that when I press the FN apuie it generates no code. I have a small java script code returns me all the keys pressed on the keyboard.
I am surprised that the FN will work for you while you do not have this executable.

The SCN is a dinamyc community so the rule can be changed at any moment. How often do you check it for updatings ? We know that the general rule probably won't be changed but new rules can be added !
Wouldn't It be a good idea if this document link stay in All Threads next to link Reply to this Thread or in any place of this page ?

Satellite A500 - Do you know where to find KeNotify.exe?

Following a viral infection + repair my Toshiba A500 (W 7) I lost KeNotify.exe.
This executable is part of the Toshiba utilities that manage specific functions activated by pressing the FN.
I reinstalled all modules assigns a link with "Flash Cards", "Value Added Package", etc ...
But I can not find KeNotify.exe.
Originally it was installed under C: \ Program Files (x86) \ TOSHIBA \ Utilities \ KeNotify.exe
So it was a 32bit executable ...!? I'm in Seven 64bit Premium and all utilities are reloaded from the library W7-64 Support from Toshiba.
I tried without success in other modules 32 or 64 bits if this executable was there.
Do you know where to find KeNotify.exe?

In Greece it seems your carrier handles out of warranty claims ( User damage is not covered by the warranty )
If you purchased your iphone in Greece then it is covered for service in any EU country .
If you are travelling to a EU country which has Apple retail stores they would swap out for a price of Euros 229 (in Italy for instance )
The above only applies if your iPhone came from Greece or the EU
