First, it might be you simply put Safari in a folder somewhere. Try searching for it using Spotlight. Drag down on the screen to display the Spotlight search bar and type "Safari". If you see Safari, it is still accessible on your iPad. If not, try the following.
Reset your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.
Finally, if that doesn't help, try turning off restrictions, then turning them back on.

  • My back arrow and forward arrow is now missing on Safari. How do i get it back??

My back arrow and forward arrow on Safari is now missing...How doo i get it back??

Have you tried to go to the View Menu (at top) and then choose "customize toolbar".? You can drag the arrows back into the toolbar from there (and anything else you'd like to have there).

  • Widgets missing...how do I get them back

I am noticing that my widgets for "Apps" and "Contacts" are missing. Did I delete them somehow? How do I get them back. I want to be able to access these things. TIA

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • I transfered my iTunes library from 1 computer to another and am now missing content. How do I get it back?

I transfered my iTunes library from my old computer to my new computer using iCloud and an missing content. My iPhone still has my full library on it. I've synced my phone but the missing cntent wont transfer over. How do I get my complete library on my new computer? My old computer had windows 7; the new one windows 8. Dont know if this makes any difference.

Delete the garbage that has been created on the new computer.
Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer. Launch iTunes, everything will now be as it was on the old computer.

  • I upgraded my iTunes to 11.0 and now I have a lot of missing music.  How can I get it back?

Does anyone know how to find my missing songs?  They are listed in my playlist but when I click on them I am told "the song could not be used because the origional file could not be found.  Would you like to locate it?"  When I click on locate then I need to manually find it on my hard drive.

most likely you will have to reinstall itunes but try the step before in the article http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538

  • The drop down history button in FF3, used to be between the forward and back buttons, is missing in FF4. how do i get it back?

I'm referring to the small downwards arrow between the back and forward button beside the URL, on the navigation bar. That used to be a very convenient feature and now its not available in FF4. Is there a way to get back that button?

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker

Those are the Navigation Toolbar and the Menu Bar, respectively.
*Be sure Navigation Toolbar is checked (checked=displayed; unchecked=not displayed). If un-checked, click on it to place a check mark.
*Be sure Menu Bar is checked. (checked=displayed; unchecked=not displayed). If un-checked, click on it to place a check mark.

If you have no toolbars, tabs, titlebar, you may be in Full Screen Mode. The F11 key toggles Full Screen Mode on or off.

  • Lost my appleworks in a crash. how do I get it back?

My hard drive crashed earlier this year and when the new hard drive was installed, I didnt end up with appleworks and garageband (and probably other things that I haven't missed yet). How do I get them back? Is it on the install disk that came with my computer. And if it is, will I lose what I have on my computer now if I do a reinstall? (I'm techno-idiot!)
    Thanks for your help!

What Niel said, with a bit more detail.
    Insert your (first) install disk.
    Run Install Bundled software.
Deselect all software you do not wish to install.
AppleWorks will probably be listed as "AppleWorks Languages" witha disclosure triangle beside it. Click the triangle to show the list of AppleWorks language versions, then click the checkbox beside the version(s) you want to install.
Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
After installing, you should do a couple of maintenance tasks:
Clear the Recent Items folder (if there is one) at Mac HD > Users > yourname > Documents > AppleWorks User Data > Starting Points > Recent Items.
Delete the AppleWorks preferences and cache files at Mac HD > Users > yourname > Library > Preferences...
    Delete the file com.apple.appleworks.plist.
Open the folder AppleWorks at this location and delete both Preferences files and both Cache files that it contains.
Launch Disk Utility, found in Applications > Utilities, choose Disk First Aid, choose your startup volume (Mac HD), then Repair Permissions.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • I just restored my phone to a previous backup, and I am now missing my itunes and music applications. How do I get them back?

I recently quit my job. When i worked there I was using an iPhone 5 but had to give it up when I left. I have an iPhone 4s and wanted to backup my first phone on to this one.
    1) I backed up my iPhone 5 to itunes.
    2) I plugged in my iPhone 4s and couldnt do a restore because the firmware was out of date. It instructed me to do it as a new phone and then do a buckup. So I set it up as a new phone.
    3) Updated firmware on 4s
    4) Restored phone to my iPhone 5 backup.
Now everything went well except Im missing some apps. So I have 2 questions:
Q1) What apps come with the Iphone 4s, what I cant get out of the app store?
Q2) How do I get them back? I am missing iTunes and Music already that I know of and I want to use the phone for music of course.
Thanks, the help would be great

Reset my homescreen settings and got it to work. Thanks

  • I have been dragging my files to a external drive to have a back-up for them and I lost some of my folders. They just went completely missing. I didn't delete them, and it was all stuff that I have worked on in the past month. How do I get them back?

You really should be doing backups with an actual backup application, especially one that will work automatically, and, if your external HD is large enough, back up your entire system.  These can automatically back up only what's changed since the  previous backup, and some will keep "archive" copies of things you've changed or deleted, also.
Too many things can go wrong, such as your internal HD failing, and you'll have a major project to reinstall everything.
You already have Time Machine, built-in to OSX.  You might want to review the Time Machine Tutorial, and perhaps browse Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.
#27 in the second link mentions some alternatives, too.

  • "Failed to open midi support library". What is missing? And if so, how do I get it back? What to do?

I own a new Macbook pro 15" quadcore with OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4
When trying to start software Reason 7 I only get the message "Failed to open midi support library".
What is missing? And if so, how do I get it back? Reinstalling Mountain Lion did not solve anything.
What may I do? Is there separate MIDI-drivers or else that Macbook needs to be running audio at all?
My audiocard Apogee Duet 2 is´nt working well either and I cannot even open the MIDI-window in Mac,
so that road is blocked. I´ve seen more ppl having problem but found no explaination.
Some say to remove midi-drivers but that folder is empty (or hidden?) when opening.
Also, Garage Band cannot open. It´s no problem with graphic apps, only with audio/midi.
My 2011 Macbook pro13" with OS X Lion runs like a charm. So how can this be? It really puzzles my mind.
Have thoughts on having OS X Lion on the new Mac as well but will not do it until I know where the real problem is.
Hope there is an easy fix to it. Thanks in advance.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive.  It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas?  I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.
