Missing Mouse with new MP

Has anyone else received there MP with a keyboard and no mouse?
Not that I am a fan of the mini mouse but shouldn't it be in the top packaging or under the keyboard?
Guess it's time to call apple care. Other wise the system is amazingly quite and fast!

Yeah its in your software disk box lol<</div>
Doug I didn't read your post until a week after getting a new one sent to me.
You'd think apple service would've known and have me look there. Who reads the manual anyway? 2x LOL now I have two for one.

  • What is the proper way to disconnect a magic mouse and reconnect a wired mouse with new Mac Pro?

I can disconnect the magic mouse pairing, but when I then connect the wired mouse, it malfunctions. I can open folders, etc., but then I can't close them by clicking on the close button.

Thanks for your response. Actually, this is the first thing I did. But I just tried it again, and still the mouse malfunctions.
I can open a folder, but when I press the close button in the corner, a toolbar customization menu comes up, but the window does not close.
I have already chatted online with an apple tech several times and taken my computer in to an apple store tech -  but no resolution to the problem. The online tech could see the problem with screen sharing, but couldn't fix it, and the tech at the apple store could not replicate the problem. In pursuit of an answer, I have also purchased a new wireless mouse (which works), a new wired mouse, and a new keyboard.
I have a late 2013 Mac Pro running 10.9.5, connected by HDMI to a 27" LG IPS display (27EA83R). I am now going to purchase a new HDMI cable and see if that helps. If it doesn't, the only thing left that hasn't been replaced or tested by a tech is the display. I have been assured by both an LG tech and an apple tech that the display is almost certainly not the problem -  but at this point I am not sure I have the greatest confidence in these guys.

  • Missing tracks with new firmware 2.11

I'm guessing that I can't be the only person on here who has had trouble managing the music on their Zen Touch after upgrading to 2..0, but I can't find any posts that mentions it. IMO the new firmware is terrible in the way it changes the way Mediasource shows the music on your player and even if you use Windows Media Player or the Windows Explorer type utitily the system of folders is rubbish as well.
Has anyone had issues with whole albums missing or ID3 tracks not showing correct information since moving to the latest firmware? When i connect my player to my PC I have a few albums which show on my PC as being on the player but when I'm using the player regularly when I'm out and about the albums are missing.
One other request. Can you guys tell me how you are transferring music to the player now? I would be interested to know if you do it through Mediasource or via copy and paste using explorer? If you do the latter where exactly do you put the music? Do you put it in the music folder under "media", and also do you put the artist folder in there or just dump the albums in there?

I could not believe how much of a **bleep** up the team at Creative had made upon installing the firmware update. Im not at all happy with the fact that it is not reversable either... It really blows ey mate?

  • Missing effects with new webcam

i just got a new webcam for christmas. i plugged it in and it worked right off nice and clear. but in photo booth im missing more pages of effects. on my sisters macbook theres a page where you can change the background to a video like a greenscreen (i saw that in the leopard preview and in the wwdc video). but on my mac its not there. do i have to have an isight to get stuff like that. if so that would be very stupid since apple doesnt even sell them anymore.

According to this Support Document ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306687 ), you will not have any Photobooth effects available without Intel Core Duo or later CPU, and to use the Backdrop effects, you need a Core 2 Duo. Your details shows you with a G5, not meeting these standards.
If you do have the appropriate Intel, your video camera has to be of a certain standard (known as UVC), or a Firewire video camera.
We too were sad when one of our computers fell below the threshold.
It is still so nice to have the ability to see one another and video chat- my 2 year old son loves to see his dad when I'm away.

  • Locate missing folder with new hard drive

What is the best way to tell Lightroom 1.4 where all your files are if all of them have been moved from an internal drive to an external drive?
The condition I am concerned about is that after I have moved these files I do not see same ole folders in the Library module (aka folders of images in all the old folders on the hard drive)
I have just moved my all photos from an internal to an external hard drive. I have gone through a few image by image and "locate(d) missing file". I would like to be able to do a master or one time "locate missing file" or really locate missing folder to locate everything all at once.
Is it possible to "locate missing folder or file on a a big scale? The files are the same same names etc.

yes that concerns me to. In the past when I have moved folders around "re-arranged" files or folders, I have successfully located the missing folder (file) on the hard drive thus directing Lightroom to this new location and all the sub folders do "fall into place" Since this has not been my experience with thisnew hard drive I am just wondering if ....well just wondering if I should back up Lightroom take off computer and re-load the software. I do not know the possible consequences of this action.
I do not import the files into Lightroom.

  • 21" Imac suddenly stopped finding the wireless mouse (with new batteries)

Despite my changing the batteries in the wireless mouse, and despite the fact that the Bluetooth is working with my wireless keyboard, I can't get the IMac to recognise and connect with the wireless mouse. Any ideas?

    Hi Steve,
I just started having the same problem with my mouse. First it started not waking the computer. Today even the space bar wouldn't wake the computer. But I'm more concerned with reconnecting with the mouse. How did you delete the mouse in the Bluetooth devices list? I can't seem to delete it. Is it because I have a USB mouse plugged in until I fix the wireless one? I doubt that has anything to do with it. It sounds like your fix worked, but I can't delete the mouse. Help! Jeri

  • Replacing magic mouse with new one

I dropped my old magic mouse and broke it. Bought a new one. I have deleted everything i can find but my system wants to connect to the old one and will not discover the new one. How...?

Finder Go menu -> Go to Folder... "/Library/Preferences", then remove "com.apple.Bluetooth.plist", then reboot could solve the problem.

I use iMessage on both iMac and iPhone.

  • OS 10.8 just installed. "Hot Corner" to put new iMac 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5  to sleep mode doesn't work. Have tried cordless and corded mouse with same result. Momentary sleep, immediate wake. Any idea how to fix?

Set "hot corner" to put iMac to sleep.  Doesn't work.  Selecting the corner will momentarily put to sleep, but immediately rewakes.  Have tried all four corners with same result.  Have tried with wireless mouse and with corded mouse with same result.  Any ideas as to how to fix?

You've been so great, I want to thank you for all the help over a very frustrating day.  Last evening, I redownloaded and installed the fresh copy of Mountain Lion.  The problem remained.  After installing the new OS 10.8, any clicks on a web page (Firefox browser) didn't open the page, but instead made a copy of the page on the desktop. Felt it must be hardware  degrading, so I set up a case with Apple support for today.  Early in the diagnostics, I had swapped out for a corded mouse and the problem remained.   As a last try, I changed out my wireless mouse for a different wireless mouse. That seems to have done the trick. My Logitech mouse is incompatible with OS 10.8.
    Thank you again, so much!

  • SOLVED(8i): missing symbol nnflboot (with new patch)

8i-EE with new patch (patch date 27 August) has a big problem:
the created libclntsh.so is useless: missing symbol nnflboot,
    which doesn't exist anywhere.
(And to the guy who wrote something that sounded like this isn't
serious: not a single program that uses libclntsh, which is THE
library every dynamically linked Oracle-client program uses, will
    run!)
Reason: script bin/gennfgt creates the C-sources for nnfgt.o,
which contains that undefined symbol (nnfgt.o is in libn8.a). The
script checks what libs are available and also checks for and
finds libldapclnt8.a. Now it adds a call to nnflboot to the
C-file, because it has found LDAP-support - but the libnldap8.a,
where this funtion is supposed to be defined, is size 0.
Good solution: hey, Oracle, give us a libnldap8.a!
Quick hack: remove the check for LDAP from gennfgt, and do
    gennfgt >temp.c
    gcc -c -o nnfgt.o temp.c
    rm temp.c
    ar r nnfgt.o libn8.a
    genclntsh
    relink all
    That was easy, wasn't it ;-) ?
There are many more bugs left....
    null

    Hello Michael,
thanks for the help, Oracle 8i on Suse 6.2 runs fine now. But I
didn3t test it very well, perhaps there still many bugs.
    Just one quick hint:
    it3s
    ar r libn8.a nnfgt.o
    not
    ar r nnfgt.o libn8.a
I3m looking forward to your patch, so we don3t have to hack all
the 8i, to get it to work.
Keep up with the good work,
    Ralph

    Hello, James.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I see you are looking for a mouse with a scroll wheel on top.  There are various models and options available to consumers via various sales outlets.  I have included a link below that has a couple options available via our online store.

  • Intermittent mouse functions with new OS

    Hi all,
I could not find a match for this except for the OS upgrade from a few years ago and those solutions don't really apply here.  I use a Raze Naga (2012) gaming mouse with a number pad under the thumb.  It was working fine until I upgraded to 10.10.  I'm now on 10.10.1.  There are two way this issue shows up.  About 40% of the time, a single mouse click will be read as a double click.  The other way is with the number pad on the mouse.  I have several functions that are activated by holding shift then a number on the mouse pad.  The shift is no longer recognized.  For example if I hold down shift then 8 on the mouse, it just sees the 8 and not the shift.  If I use shift then the same number on the keyboard it works fine.
I've got the latest driver for the mouse, although that hasn't been updated since the new OS came out.
    Ideas?
    John

The box says 10.4.6 or later. The instruction manual says "to use your mouse and take full advantage of its features, you need: [...] 10.4.6 or later."
The instruction manual also says: "If your Mac is running an earlier version of Mac OS X, you won't be able to install the software from the disc and you may not be able to use all of the features…"
The manual states that users of OSX 10.3.9–10.4.2 can "assign primary and secondary buttons, and activate Exposé. Display Dashboard only in [Tiger]"
So, there you go, from the horse's mouth. It'll work fine, but not as full-featured as if you were running the latest OS.

  • Missing Mouse Up Bug

I have Labview 6.02. Sometimes when my VI is running, Labview misses
'mouse Button Up' events. So if I try to scroll, I can't let go of
the bar. Or a button will get stuck down. It usually catches the
'mouse Button up' about 5-10 seconds later. This make it really
    difficult to use!
Anyone else seen this? Any solution?

    >Nothing is using any significant amount of CPU.
How is the actual CPU usage when the program is running?
I have written an application that sometimes receives spikes of up to 600 UDP packets/second (several ports). Its running on an old 133MHz Pentium and there is no slowdown at all.
How are you using the ethernet. UDP or TCP? For TCP, do you maintain a connection, or establish a new connection for each chunk of data? Do you use datasocket connections or plain TCP?
If using Windows, go to a command prompt and type "netstat -an" after runing the program for a while. Is there a buildup of many stale connections.
Of course it could also be a hardware conflict, e.g. between the drivers for the NIC and the video card. Have you upda
ted the network card drivers? Maybe try a different NIC or put it in a different PCI slot.
