Missing music and movies
The laptop and ipod touch where I stored my music and movies was stolen, is there any way to get that data back?
From a backup disk?
You can re-download all iTunes purchases by signing into the iTunes Store, then selecting Purchases from the right-hand sidebar.

Doesn't iTunes India have the options to buy music and movies. I just get the apps, podcasts and iTunes U as the options. what am I missing???
The question has been asked and answered many times in these forums, but again, Apple has not been able to obtain the rights to sell music and movies in India. When, or indeed if, they will ever be able to do so, none of us here can know.

I was wondering why when i restored my iphoe5 from my laptop now when I try to play my music and movies a blog pops up saying (the requested URL was not found on this server)?
The problem resolved itself when I resynced the iPod with my computer. I suspect the error displayed when I tried syncing with my laptop and canceled out of it.

i got an iPad and all my app's, music, and movies are on it, but when i try to download some apps to mi iPhone, they doesn't appear on the purchased tab, how could i move them back to itunes so i can access thru iCloud? i have an 2nd generetion ipad and an iphone 5, thanks for you answers!
(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

I am using a mini display to hdmi with my macbook and the display works fine. However, the sound will only play iTunes such as music and movies but when i go online to watch movies on youtube it will not play any sound. Please help

I plugged my ipod touch into my computer to sync it and it came up with an error message saying that it encoutered an internal error and it refused to sync.
I then unplugged it and plugged it back in and this time it told me that I needed to restore from a backup or set it up as a new ipod. I tried to restore from a backup but it came up with the error message "Backup session failed" every time. I then looked on my ipod and all of my music and movies are gone though it still says that they are on the ipod in itunes. I decided to use the restore function and let that finish. After restoring it still doesn't allow me to sync or back up and The music and movies can still not be seen. I am currently attempting to copy the music and movies to my ipod though this did not work with my apps as they transfered but when I attempted to open them they just crash... If someone could please help me it would be great. It is driving me crazy.If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. I upgraded my Iphone4 to IOS 5.0.1 when plugged into my fully-patched OS X Lion-version Mac. I no longer have any movies and only one song on my phone. Itunes says I have all of my movies and music, but my phone does not show it. I do have my books (but not audiobooks)
I made a work around. Set my phone to not sync music and movies in itunes. Sync phone. Set my phone to sync music and movies in itunes. Sync phone.
It is very time consuming though.
And, what else is set incorrectly somewhere and I do not know it? There was also a very weird glitch - where "Albums" is listed in when running the music app in IOS5 (5.0.1), it instead had had the name of the one song! That is now also fixed. -
There must be a way for people who live in several countries or speak several languages to purchase music and movies in various national Apple IDs and then consolidate and listen to the media they own on just one device. How can I do that?
There must be a way to get all the music and movies into one place. Maybe on Laptop rather than iPhone or iPad. I can get one set to one ID and the other to another, then switch to the third ID since I have not changed the two in 90 days. But I would need to download all media during the time each device is on each ID. Must be possible, but I don't know how.

No. Purchased music, movies and other iTunes media is permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase it and can't be transferred to another ID. (Your purchases are stored in iTunes in the Cloud under the Apple ID used to purchase them.)

How can I stop music and movies from being automatically deleted from my phone and saved on the cloud? I've just tried to watch a movie on my 2 hour commute, but yet AGAIN it has been removed. I do NOT want to spank all of my data allowance downloading it again, especially because (believe it or not) I added it to my phone because that's precisely where I wanted it!! But in terms of my initial query; thanks for responding. But no, this is NOT the cause of the problem. I have auto sync and sync over wifi activated, but have also selected manually manage music and videos. Plus, all of my music and videos are on my macbook, absolutely all of it, so if it my phone was syncing with my macbook everything would still be on the phone. Life would be peachy if my phone jsut copied everything that was on my macbook, but unfortuantely it keeps deleting tracks for no apparent reason.
Any thoughts greatly welcomed, because at the moment i can only conclude that my iphone is crap. -

You can't, unless you bought them from the iTunes Store on the Apple TV.
The Apple TV can receive content only, it does not sync content back, except items that you have purchased on the Apple TV. -
I'm new to Mac. I have an iPhone and a Mac Mini. My original iTunes was on a Windows computer that crashed. So, all of my iTunes Music and Movies are gone. How do I get the movies and music from my iPhone to the new Mac Mini?
If you still have the crashed Win computer, you may be able to recover your music and movies from the hard drive. If you have a friend with a hard drive USB connection kit and a PC, they should be able to help. Otherwise, check locally for computer services that might do that for you (I think Best Buy Geek Squad may be able to help). If the drive itself is in good shape, it shouldn't be too expensive.

No, it is not a storage solution as if you need to get the things off it you can't. If you deete things from iTunes they'll delete at the next sync. Provided you have backup copie on an external drive or CD/DVD, you could delete the actual file from the Finder leaving the database entry in iTunes - in this way you free space on the laptop but files stay on AppleTV.
An alternative would be to change itunes Preferences (Advanced tab) not to import into the library, then for things you don't want on the Macbook Air, have them on external drive, drag and drop to itunes, sync, then disconnect drive for portable use. Again when the files aren't available they won't be deleted, unless you delete the itunes database reference.

n is faster.
3-What is the best external drive that might fit my need?
Your options are basically small portable drives most of which are USB powered (though may require powered hubs if you have a hub) or larger desktop externals requiring power adapter and more space.
For value the desktop externals give more capacity per pound/dollar, and will also have bigger capacity maximums at a given time (bigger and bigger capacity discs being developed all the time).
Try and work out the capacity/pro
ice point and if a portable might be useful, then you have a variety of option.
Peronally I like Western Digital, Seagate and Freecom models, but they're all fairly good these days, and even popular brands can fail. I avoid Maxtor and IBM/Hitachi having had failures in the past, but all drives eventually fail.

You say "ripped" music. That is not stored on iCloud unless you subscribe to Match. As for iTunes Store purchases:

Select the iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.
Of course if you had a backup of your files you would have been back up adn running iTunes by the time you read all this.
