Missing Navigation

I am using Flashelp with RoboHelp X5.0.2
I am publishing the projects to our company intranet. I have
done as suggested in other topics and added it as a trusted site in
the security settings but the navigation/skin is still not
appearing.
Can anyone help, this is extrememly frustrating

The problem gets even more confusing by the second. The flash
help files are launched via our company intranet. The intranet
moved to a new server on Monday and prior to the move we did not
have this problem. If I lauch the files locally on my machine the
skin and navigation display without issue. It is only when launched
from the intranet the issue occurs.
I have added the intranet address into the global security
settings and this doesn't make any difference. I'm at a total loss
as to how to get round this, thankful for your help so far but this
problem appears to be more complicated the security settings and in
the mean time we have no training files available to users.

    Hi Muhammad,
As far as I know, the tabs under Taskbar Properties should be as follows:
As displayed in the picture, there is no Navigation tab here.

  • Missing navigation buttons

When I started my computer this morning, all the navigation buttons, home, bookmarks, reload etc. are missing from the toolbar at the top of the FF screen. The 'Restoring Default Toolbar set' option does not work because right clicking does not open the Customize dialog box. I have tried regressing to an earlier restore point which did not resolve the problem.
I have attached a screen shot.
Any help would be much appreciated, except for suggestions to install the latest version of FF. :)
I am quite happy with version 28, thank you very much.

Never mind. I fixed it myself!

I have not gotten around to even installing the Personal Edition on Win 2000 becuase the Oricale Navigator is not present. The Navigator is the ONLY tool we use on the PC.
No Navigator, no reason to install it.

  • Missing navigation bar

My home page is msn.com, I select hotmail and a new window appears, however it is missing the navigation bar. I reset my toolbars, I entered safe mode and reset them, I disabled add-ons but nothing restores them. When I exit hotmail that window still does not have the navigation bar. I updated firefox and still nothing. I'm running 3.6.8. It seems to relate to the hotmail selection

In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

  • Missing Navigation, Toolbar & Skin

    Hi,
I've seen several write-ups regarding this issue, but yet to
    find a resolution.
I have generated FlashHelp using RoboHelp x5 and saved to it
a server. Calling it directly from a mapped drive\path on the
server brings up the entire system perfectly. When the page is
called from a virtual directory only the default topic displays.
The other frames that contain the skin, toolbar and navigation show
only an outline which states "click or hit enter to activate".
Clicking or hitting enter only makes the outline of the frame
disappear -- leaving just the default topic information.
I saw technical note: c165998e dated: 03-04-2005 (which is
the version of RoboHelp I am using), but there is no resolution.
Only that it is being looked at. Being from 2 years ago, I was
    hoping to find an answer....
I have tried several fixes that were suggested elsewhere:
Adding FlashPlayer to Servers, adding the MIME filetype .fhs to
    iis, changing the wf_startpage.js (var
    gsActiveSkinFileName="hwcskincurved.fhs" to "...
    hwcskinsurved.xml")
    Any help/guideance is GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanks in advance,
    Dawn

Thought I'd post the answer to my question. Yes, the fix was
right in front of my face. The more I thought about it, the more I
realized this couldn't be a RoboHelp issue because it worked
correctly calling the path. The answer did lie in adding the .fhs
mime to iis. Unfortunately the first try didn't work, but on a
second attempt it came up perfectly.
On a side note, thank you to Rick Stone & Peter Grainge
for all the great information, tips/tricks, and everything else you
both have contributed! It has been very helpful!

  • Missing Navigation Buttons - Vista, FF4

Screen shots on this site and the introductory video to FF4 show a button at the far RH end of the navigation bar that has a star on it. I don't appear to have this. I've tried resetting the navigation bar and interestingly, when the Customise Toolbar window is active this button appears along with a reload and stop reloading buttons all of which disappear when I click 'Done'. Any ideas? Thanks

Drag and drop from the Customize items to the toolbar.

  • Missing navigation toolbar

I installed Ff for Android on my S3 tablet and inspite of my best efforts I cannot get the Nav bar to show. In fact none of the toolbars show.
Are the toolbars supposed to appear on an Android tablet?

Firefox for Android has a different design than desktop Firefox. Depending on the toolbar you are talking about it may not exist on Firefox for Android.
    Firefox should look like https://lh3.ggpht.com/8yofG6usF2yfjoEBrNVL-jWcxYnBDBYTtC_OhgU1qkCQGqy_dpEox4zTFdu2L-WwzrY=h900
The navigation controls are in the upper left near the 1.

  • BC4J/JSP: Missing navigation values in table tag

We are using BC4J view objects, overriding the native functionality of the view object to call PL/SQL APIs plus JSPs with UIX/Cabo tags to render output for BC4J.
Within the JSP the dataSource/view object rangesize is set to 6 and we are using the table tag.
When rendering a page for the first time, the table tag navigator correctly shows the number of records eg. 1-6 of 100 and navigation through the record set works perfectly eg. next set is 7-12 of 100.
If you exit that page (to display another page) then return to it, the table tag navigator in the first page contains no values and it is not possible to navigate through the record sets. This happens to all our pages when rendering them more than once.
The log file shows that on the initial rendering of the first page, the Estimated Row Count is set correctly, and continues to be correct whilst navigating through the data. When returning to the first page after showing another page, the Estimated Row Count is 0.

I assume this doesn't happen in the non-overriden view objects. Can you provide more information on what functionality you have overriden since getEstimatedRowCount() doesn't seem to work in your version of the view object?

  • Missing Navigation pane / Error message

    Hey everyone,
A colleague of mine was trying to build WebHelp using RH X5
and when he built the output, the navigation page on the left
appeared completely blank with a little error symbol in the lower
    left of the screen.
    The error stated:
    Line: 222
    Char: 3
Error: Automation server can't create object
    File: path\!SSL\WebHelp\whskin_pdhtml.htm
When I looked at whskin_pdhtml.htm on a build on my own
system in Dreamweaver, I saw that the page title is "Navigation
    Pane"
Any idea why RoboHelp couldn't create this file? He had this
problem last week. We though IE was the problem, but a reinstall
didn't help. Both he and I are publishing the output (File System
method) to a specific folder on the root of our C:\ drives, since
we can't get access to Development servers (security policy)
By the way, I can view his output perfectly on my system.
I found an old post on this topic from 2006 that had this in
    the response:
"IE, general Internet, popup blockers, guest toolbars (Yahoo!
for example), MS Office, network server permissions (database admin
or sys admin). Do you have any utilities running in the background
    that the others don't have?"
I haven't gone through and compared everything between his
machine and mine, but what specifically should I look for in terms
of major differences? I have local box admin rights for my machine,
but I don't think he does for his. That shouldn't be a problem,
    should it?
    Thanks,
    Jim

I have local box admin rights for my machine,
but I don't think he does for his. That shouldn't be a
    problem, should it?
    Yes, it should.
The RoboHelp product must be installed under the user's name,
with full admin rights; in addition, those rights must be
maintained at least for the first time the user opens, edits, and
generates a project. Those rights can then, and only then, be
    disabled.
    Good luck,
    Leon

  • Missing NAVIGATOR package

I logged a TAR to ORACLE, this is what they said:
according to bug#1085674 this feature is 'NOT' available anymore in Forms 6.x.
Unfortunately, there is a documentation error which even suggested that the
NAVIGATOR.PLL in Release 2.1 can be used as a workaround.
This is also not correct and does not work.
Again, this is a bug#1085674. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Missing Navigator when in Develop module

When I change from Library to develop module, the left side of the screen is blank. The right side of the screen is fine; Histogram etc. I am new to lightroom. I had no problems yesterday, but today I want to pull my hair out.

The panels can be set to be open or closed or Auto Open and Close in each Module.
So, you have the Library Module set to have your left panel open, but your Develop Module set to have it closed.
Click on the small arrow in the middle on the left side, and the panel will appear.  Right Click on it to set options on how your want it to appear.    Use F7 to show the left panel, F8 to show the right, F6, the film strip, F5. the Module picker.  Use Tab to hide the left and right panels, and Shift-Tab to hide all panels.
In each Module you can use Shift-? to show many, but not all, shortcuts for the Module.
