Missing notes in recording

i have a p85 yamaha connected to my macbook using garage band 3. when i record/play the p85 garage band is not picking up some notes and chords. do i need a faster computer to solve this problem. thank you

The default account for notes is set in Settings>Notes>Default Account.  However, that setting only determines what account a new note would be created in if you had selected "All Notes" in the Notes app account list before creating the note.  If you select a specific account (rather than "All Notes") the note would be created in that account regardless of the Default Account setting on your device.  I know...gets confusing.
The "On My iPhone" account is only created if you create a new note on your phone before adding any other external accounts.  If, for example, you added a bunch of notes on your old phone before turning on notes syncing with your exchange account, the On My iPhone account would be created and these notes would belong to that account.  Also, even after turning on notes syncing with your exchange account, if you had selected the On My iPhone account from the accounts list, any notes you created would continue to be added to that account (regardless of the Default Account setting).
If you had a backup of your old phone on your computer that was created with iTunes, it would create any notes from your On My iPhone account.  Unfortunately, the iCloud backup doesn't include notes.  In order to minimize the size of the backup and speed up the process of backing up to iCloud, the assumption was made for people backing up to iCloud, that they would be syncing their notes with iCloud.  As such, they would already be on the iCloud server (and appear on iCloud.com) so it would not be necessary to include them in the backup.
If you do have an iTunes backup of your old phone, restoring to your phone would recover them.  You can also purchase third-party software that can extract notes and other data from an iTunes backup.
