Missing Number range when trying to create inventory sampling

Hi,
I tried to create an inventory sampling (Transaction MIS1). I selected a Inv.sampling profile and wanted to save the setting. However I get an error message saying:
For object MATBELEG , number range interval does not exist OMBT
Looking at that TCode OMBT i do have set number ranges correctly.
Since there is space between the MATBELEG and teh comma I believe that at some place a MATBELEG is set to blank, where it cannot find any corresponding numberrange.
How can I resolve teh problem??

number ranges are stored in table NRIV object MATBELEG
Number ranges can be transported (but only with big care). it can be done from OMBT menu Interval > transport.
you will get a warning (which should better be an error) because you transport not only the interval, you transport as well the current number and that will screw up your production system.
better have your basis team open production for a short time frame for customizing ( can be done in SCC4 ) and do it directly in PRD.

I just created all my dimensions/characteristics, created 2 cubes/infocubes (rate & ownership) in my new appset called 'CONSOLIDATION' and I can't seem to create a 'reporting type cube'.
When I try to create a cube called TEST or CONSO... (generic, finance or conso) it says 'index as out of range. Must be non negative & less than the size of the collection. Parameter name : index'. The message pops up immediately, before I can even try to choose dimensions.
Anybody who has a clue, I look forward to suggestions.

Thanks for the reply. If I understand correctly, then in my application set, I cannot create any non-reporting type application? As we have deleted the 'Rate' application which was delivered along with APSHELL. Is there any way out to overcome this as from your reply, it seems not possible as the system needs a reference application belonging to the same application type.

When I try to create an Application (Such as Consolidation,Ownership,Rate ) getting an Error Message 'Index as out of range. Must be non negative & less than the size of the collection. Parameter name : index'.
But i could able to create generic application with no issue.
Any leads would be appreciated .

Hi,
Could you please check if an application has 'Journal' in use in your application set.
If so, it might be the cause of the issue.
This was reported some time ago. You can get rid of that by performing those steps. Before that, be sure to have a copy of all those below tables before doing any change (in order to be sure not to loose anything):
1. In tblapp, anything that has a '1' for Journal has to be changed to '0'
2. Deletion of all tables beginning with JRN.
3. Then, try to recreate your application, add needed dimension and do not forget to check both options (Re-assign SQL index and Process application).

Error when trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview

When trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview, I get the following Error
"An Error hs occured while attempting to connect to the OLAP server.Failed to initialize(The following component Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Anaysis Services 2005 returned server error(An error was encountered in the transport layer;the peer prematurely closed the connection"
I clicked on New Voyager Workspace & then it displays the list of connections available. When, I click on any connection , then I receive thefollowing error

An Insight of our environment regarding this, we have an clustered environment with Voyager Installed. Platform is Windows Server 2003. We have all the required Microsoft client tools installed on the Production Servers.
This was working fine earlier. We were able to create Voyager WorkSpace at one instance of time. The problem at that point of time was the MDAS Server was not showing up in CMC, i.e as we had clustered environment, only one of the MDAS Server was showing up in the CMC. it was missing the other MDAS Server. but, at that time we were able to create Voyager Workspace.
So, in order to view the other MDAS Server in CMC, we had changed the name of the Server in CCM for both the MDAS Servers.
In detail, Server A.MDAS Server & Server B.MDAS Server- they both were not showing up in CMC. only one of them was showing up in Servers list in CMC.
So, in CCM we had changed the name of Server1.MDAS server to be Server1 &
for Server2.MDAS Server to be Server1 as well.
AFter this both the MDAS Servers were showing uo in CMC.
but, when I login into Infoview & click on new Voyagerworkspace & select a connection, I recieve the follwoing error

Hi,
Try to create the objects again and take the screenshot of SU53 when you get the error and see the authorization object for which you are getting the error here.
It is possible that you dont have development authorization.
Also the issue could be that the system is not configured to create the objects begining with Z.
Check this with basis as well.

Sorry our primary database file structure is different from stdby, we used db_file_name_convert in the init.ora, it look like this:

I tried this parameter before for cloning using rman backup. This din't work.
What exactly must be done? for db_file_name_convert to work.
Even in this case i think this is the problem its not converting the location and the logical halts.

and primary has '+OT06_DATA/OT06TSG001'
so we are using db_file_name_convert init parameter but it doesn't work.
Is there any thing particular steps hiding to use this parameter? as i tried this parameter for rman cloning it din't work, as a workaround i used rman set new name command for clonning.

Oracle.jbo.AttrValException: Attribute test in TestEO is required. (When trying to create duplicate Record)

I am facing an issue when trying to create a Duplicate Record.
Ist time when I create a record, its created Successfully.
I have Attribute validations which should not accept duplicate values, So to check that I tried to create the record with same values to display proper warning message.
After entering all the values (same values which i already entered in 1st record), when I tab out its showing as Red color border for that field, its expecting behaviour so no problem with that...
Then I click on Submit or Next button, now it's showing pop-up with expected warning message along with unexpected Exception message.

I am using fnd:applicationsPanel next button as nextAction="next", so i didn't find immediate property in fnd:applicationPanel.
So, I tried 2 things based on your comment.
1. nextPartialSubmit ="true"... this option is also not worked.
2. In my Test attribute added immediate="true" this is also not worked.
If you have any id how to set immediate property or related property in fnd:applicationPanel for nextAction. Please let me know.

this sample has been tested by the SunONE TOOLs QA
and is working. Please check your deployment descriptors
and use the cmp samples which come with S1AS to see if your
descriptors are correct.

NI-VISA 5.1.2 exits/closes right after launching it on a Linux CentOS 6.2 PC, also crashes LabVIEW when trying to create VISA ref constant for VISA Open.

After installing LaBVIEW 2011 and NI-VISA 5.1.2 on a CentOS 6.2 PC, I had noticed a problem with trying to use the VISA vi's in LabVIEW, basically it's not working for me, LabVIEW crashed when trying to create a control or constant for the VISA Open vi. Tried to launch the VISA tools, they all start and then close abruptly. NI I/O Trace only shows one line.
I did read though many threads and decided to collect the NI system.log, which is attached. (system.log.gz). I did notice a strange message in here about nivisaserver:
/usr/bin/tail --lines=25 /var/log/messages:
May 22 11:18:48 localhost abrtd: Package 'nivisaserver' isn't signed with proper key
May 22 11:18:48 localhost abrtd: Corrupted or bad dump /var/spool/abrt/ccpp-2012-05-22-11:18:48-3258 (res:2), deleting

Thanks for attaching the system report log -- I believe I have a solution for you :-) Let's look at a few of the lines:

Starting at the bottom at lines 2576..2577, dmesg had more than just the NI-VISA server signing notification. At system boot, the NI kernel modules refused to load because they detected more than 4 GB of addressable memory. But, if you look towards the top at lines 890..891, meminfo says you have less than 4 GB of system memory, which makes it seem like the NI modules don't know what they're talking about. However, if you look at the report from iomem a little further down on lines 1726..1784, system RAM has been re-mapped above the 4 GB boundary. While your system doesn't have more than 4 GB of RAM, some of its memory has addresses above 4 GB, which the NI modules cannot use and so they refuse to load. How did that happen? Your system BIOS provided a physical RAM map with usable addresses above the threshold (line 1838).
The fix here is simple -- you need to tell the kernel to reserve addresses above 4 GB [1] so that it won't remap the RAM to higher memory. Once all of the RAM has addresses below the 4 GB threshold, the modules should load and VISA/LabVIEW/et al should stop misbehaving.
It seems to me that LabVIEW is not handling this situation very gracefully, and maybe you can work with Kira to file a bug report.

You can try dragging the site icon of this page on the left edge of the location (Address) bar and release it on the desktop. Please try opening it. If it still shows an error it could be a problem with the system's zone permissions. I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7. I installed all my Adobe programs, and I think they are working. When I look at Adobe PDF in the device section of the Control Panel it looks okay. But when I try to print a Word, Photoshop, or HTML page in PDF, nothing happens. I have tried printing both as File>print and using the PDF tab on the top menu bar. I look at the device in the control panel and it has the yellow error warning symbol and suggests trying to troubleshoot. I look at the document list and it says status "error". When I try troubleshooting Windows suggests doing some Home Sharing and also suggests canceling the document I'm trying to print. I tried re-installing just Acrobat 8 from CS3 (and have to use Photoshop CS4 disk for shared documents I guess). I ran into a can't locate adobepdf_dll file, so did a web search on this issue and found a suggestion that I find and use the adobepdf_dll_64 file and may have to (I did have to) remove the "_64" for it to work. I think I successfully reinstalled using that dll file- no errors came up anyway. But still when I try printing/converting a photoshop, webpage, or word document into pdf, the pdf device in control panel still gives the error status on the document and gives the same troubleshooting advice. Help?

I just compared the properties between the two computers. On the old computer it has the port as "My Documents/*.pdf". On my new computer it lists the port as "LPT1". I tried changing the port to "Print as File", but when I try printing a photoshop picture as pdf, I get a "Access Denied". I then tried to create a new port on the device control panel. I tried to create a local port "My Documents/*.pdf" port but was denied. I ten tried to create a new port type and control panel asked for an INF file. I wonder if this is where my problem lies. Thoughts?

Have you configured your SLD? Check JCO Destination error out or search for "com.sap.tc.webdynpro.serverimpl.wdc.sl.SystemLandscapeFactory.checkStatus" in the SDN forums.

Error when trying to create Delivery

Hi SAP Gurus
When trying to create delivery from Sales order(Va02>Sales document>Delivery),it is taking to Delivery(Vl01n).But there at the initial screen itself it is displaying the error message"Order doesnot exist"

No reason for rejections.
Also seen VOV7 and checked for the item cat details.I could see "H-delivery Related Billing-No Zero Quantities" maintained for Billing Relevance field.

I am getting the following error when trying to create the XUSER information for the SAPServiceSID user on a WINDOWS/MAXDB 7.9 install.. Does anyone know a FIX for this?

Try this.
Solution
Add the "Administrators" group under:
Control Panel
-> All Control Panel Items
   -> Administrative Tools
      -> Local Security Policy
         -> Local Policies
            -> User Rights Assignment
              -> Take ownership of files or other objects
You check you command and modify.
xuser.exe -c Hostname\SAPServiceSID -U DEFAULT -u Username, Password -d SID -n Hostname -S Schema_Name -t 0 -I 0 set'

Based on the error message, please check whether you have installed the spPowerPivot.msi add-in on each of your SharePoint server, and ran the configuration wizard, make sure that the powerpivotwebapplicationsolution.wsp
is deployed correctly.
