Missing OpenLDAP service.

Hi,
I have the 11.1.1 hyperion setup in my system. I've installed Planning and have an oracle rdbms. i even configured the WebAnalysis and for that i had to install the JRE latest version. Surprisingly after a restart, i found my OpenLdap service missing from my services window and am unable to start the Shared Services service. Please help me fixing it. I tried an option running slapd.exe from the C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\openLDAP but that gives me a blank cmd prompt window open.
Please let me know if there is anyway that i can restore my service and get it running.

First of all are you sure you have installed on a supported OS?
If so have you tried running
HYPERION_HOME/products/Foundation/openLDAP/slapd.exe install OpenLDAP-slapd "Hyperion Foundation OpenLDAP"

SAP Service named SAP SID _ Instance Number is missing in services.msc

Hi,
SAP Service named SAP<SID>_<Instance Number> is missing in services.msc
Example :
SID = DM0
Instance Number = 01
SAP Service Name = SAPDM0_01
Please help me to resolve the issue.

Now the SAP Service, SAP<SID>_<Instance Number> is created in services.msc.

How to reset OpenLDAP service that was marked for deletion

Hi,
I installed the Shared Services, Essbase and Planning in my PC. After installing it, I went to services screen. I found that OpenLDAP service was in 'Started' and 'Disabled' status. When I try to change the status of the service from 'Disabled' to 'Automatic' or 'Manual', I am getting an error 'The specified service has been marked for deletion'. If I tried to stop the service, the service is vanishing from services list. I am consistently facing this issue even if I tried to reinstall all the modules. Can any one tell me how can I resolve this issue?

I take it that after it has been marked for deletion and you reboot then the service is removed?
I am not sure what version you are on but for 9.3.1 to create the OpenLdap service again,
open a cmd prompt to directory
*\Hyperion\SharedServices\9.3.1\openLDAP*
and type :-
slapd.exe install OpenLDAP-slapd "Hyperion S9 OpenLDAP"

Manual Billing is missing for service period 06/19/2009 u2013 7/21/2009

Can anybody help me to fix the below issue?
Issue: The Manual Billing is missing for service period 06/19/2009 u2013 7/21/2009 for contract 9018967003.
After completing the Billing and invoicing using EASIBI t-code and looking at the refreshed ES32, i found that Manula billing is missing for service period 06/19/2009 to 07/21/2009.

Hi,
It seems you have processed normal billing and invoicing process.
If the individual invoicing process is successful, the invoicing document should get created and posted unless outsorted.
In your case, if the invoicing document is outsorted, you would be able to see the billing document. (in refreshed ES32 view as mentioned) .
For the billing document, you can check the invoicing document as well, when you display the billing document ... check the print document tab on the same.
If the invoicing document is visible and is not posted, it would be out sorted. Either check the EMMA tcode processing for the same as it seems, an EMMA case might have generated as you are unable to view the same in EA05.

Openldap services not starting

After installing the hss(11x) and other products we are unable to start the openldap services.We are getting the error "ConfigurationManager:The specified values does not exist in the registry".
So please let us know a solution to the issue faced and also how to prevent this from happening again.

After the reboot the OpenLDAP service exists but not in start state.
Find below the error whcih occured when we tried to start the service using a batch script:
C:\Documents and Settings\nagaraju.kondadi>C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\openLDAP\startService.bat

Hyper-v 2012 missing vhdsvc service

I have a new Hyper-V server that is missing two services
vhdsvc and nvspwmi
How can I get these two pieces installed?

Hyperion S9 OpenLDAP service not starting

Over this past weekend there were some issues with our back up software which was upgraded. As a result, we can not get the Hyperion S9 OpenLDAP started. When we try the serivce just hangs and does not complete. We have let it run for up to 30 minutes with no success. We have tried to reconfigure shared services, but that hangs as well. We have tried to reboot the server, but that hangs also trying to start the LDAP service. Can anyone offer any ideas on what we can try to get this service running?

Bill To Account is missing on Service Contract line after customer merge

Hi
This probelem relates to service contracts that have customers that were merged. After the existing customer (on the contract) was merged with a new customer the contract address are updated with the the new Customer and Addresses (this is all standard merge fucntionality). The issues is the lines on the contract are not updated properly with the new Bill to Address fromt the merged into customer. The end result is when this contract is invoiced the invoice lines are errroing in AR interface due to the Bill Account being missing.
Please let me know if you have faced similar situation and what steps did you take to resolve this issue.

Tnslistener Service is missing in services.msc in windows 2003 10gr2

Hi All.
I got one error in my server(windows 2003 10gr2)....Protocol adaptor error(ora-12560).
In services <tnslistener> is missing(I don't know how it is missing), because of this am not able to connect to my database through TOAD and OEM, I can connect to my database @ command line.
I tried all the possible ways.
I am tired now, can you please tel me a suggestion to get rid of this problem. Is that necessary to format the server and recreate the database using a backup if there is no option.
Please reply me asap as i need to load some flat files in database using TOAD.

I have resolved this issue,I don't know if this is the best way or not.
I have reinstalled the database and Imported the latest backup in to the database and it was working fine.
later i got one error saying that datafile is missing for sysaux tablespace and needs recovery usings archives.
I lost all my archive files where i cannot recover the missing datafile.
\again my headache started ....................
I again created the brand new database and created the tablespaces which are additional to the default tablespaces that are created when database is created and imported the latest backup file in to new database.
this solved my problem.
Please let me know your advice on this.

Only one Custom field is missed in Service Level Determination

I have extended Service Request BO with 4 field, one field is ID type and rest of field are Text type.
in Service Entitlement-> Service Level Determine-> adapt column, "Decision table configuration" under the available column I can see all the extended field( SDK & KUT), but only one extended field(ID type) is missed.
Could anyone explain how to bring that field there.

Thank you for your inputs. I executed the program but it didn't display the field.
But I was able to rectify it by re-creating the steps mentioned in the blog (see original post). I had missed giving correct positions to the custom field.

Missing Excel Services in Sharepoint 2013

Can anyone please help me understand why Excel services is not available to add as a service?

Excel Services is an Enterprise feature. Do you have an Enterprise product key, and has your company purchased Enterprise client licenses (eCALs) for the users that need to use Excel Services? Your Microsoft Account Manager can tell you if you aren't
sure.
If you are licensed for it then from Central Admin you can select "Upgrade and Migration" > "Enable Enterprise Features" and then go ahead and select the Enterprise radio button and then ok. You should note though, that you cannot downgrade the
farm back to use only Standard features though.
Note that depending on the key originally entered when installing the product, you may need to select "Convert farm license type" first and put in a correct Enterprise product key.

Oracle Service Bus 11gR1 - missing Web Services Security Configuration?

I am trying to configure a web service which uses username token policy.
The below option is missing in Proxy Service --> Security
Web Services Security Configuration
Process WS-Security Header Yes NoIs there anything that needs to be enabled for the above to show up in Proxy Service-->Security.

This option was enabled by removing the username token policy from the wsdl file.

GRC-IDM Integration: missing web-service?

Hi Experts,
I have been loading the GRC provisioning framework for SAP Netweaver IDM, as well as the VDS configuration file (in the templates available, I used SAP Netweaver > GRC Access Control 5.3 SP2). The integration is working fine and IDM is correctly communicating with CUP (I can create requests through IDM, and once the request is approved in CUP, the status is updated in IDM).
However, in IDM when the GRC Provisioning framework gets a status "OK" from CUP, it triggers another task called "read provisioning log" (I am assuming that this is to retrieve the list of approved roles from CUP). This request gives me a fata error:
uLDAPGetEntry got exception
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 -
Couldn't perform DN to Data source mapping]; remaining name '
After some investigations, I noticed that the GRC repository has a constant for the provisioning log web service called VDS2GRC_BRANCH_PROVISIONINGLOG (also described in the GRC integration configuration guide). Default value is ou=provisioninglog. When looking at the VDS, there is NO virtual tree for ou=provisioninglog ... so I am assuming this is the reason why the task fails.
Does anybody went through this already? Is there a procedure for creating this missing VDS entry or does VDS 7.1 SP3 solves this issue? FYI, I am using Netweaver IDM 7.1 SP2 with the same version of the VDS. The GRC provisioning framework is the one currently available on SDN.
Any idea would be appreciated!

After further investigation and testing, it appears that VDS 7.1 SP3 comes with the correct set of Data sources and web services, therefore solving this integration issue.
Actually, we were facing other technical limitations due to the fact that the latest version of the GRC provisioning framework (available on the SDN) only works if we use VDS 7.1 SP3. For example, the attribute GRC_REQUEST_ID (used in the IDM task for tracking the CUP request ID) was not correctly updated in IDM.
Updating the others components from SP2 to SP3 (IC, RT, webdynpro, etc) was not necessary for us to make this provisioning log web-service work, although I think it is better to keep a consistent patch level accross the components.
