Missing or Lost iTunes Purchase Downloads

I was in the iTunes store a couple of days ago and purchased two songs to download. The downloads weren't completed as there was an error message saying "internet connection" was lost. I tried it again but the same message appeared.
This isn't necessarily a problem because I would be able to locate the purchased items from my list and try again. However after I logged out and then logged back in those purchased items have gone missing. I do have a list of all my purchases from iTunes but the last two songs I purchased aren't there and I know I have been charged for them because they have been charged against my iTunes account. They are definitely not in my iTunes Library, so where are they?
I checked my iTunes purchase history and I have an order reference as proof of purchase with the date and time of purchase. So how can I find out how to get those songs back without having to pay for them again or who would I report the problem to? Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for available downloads" command and run that. You may find the tracks there to be downloaded.
If not, contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department from their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and explain the problem to them.
Good luck.

No. iTunes Store music downloads always come as AAC, except for podcast episodes, which are in the format chosen by their creator.

I have lost the purchased downloaded files to install Photoshop Elements 10 and need to obtain them again so I can reinstall the program and continue my use of it. How can I do this?

You should be able to re-download the PSE10 downloadable-installer from your Adobe account, if you log in to that—I’ve only ever purchased DVDs so cannot give you click-by-click instructions.  Here is what an Adobe-chat rep just told me:
“If you purchase the download version product you may re download the product from you Adobe account. If you purchase the DVD version and somehow you lost your DVD we can provide trial download link depends on the situation. we are able to provide you the download link if the download link is available on Adobe server.”
If you have an issue figuring out what to do, then you can start up your own chat session by clicking the Chat Now button on the bottom of this page:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/download-install-trials.html
They will probably want to know things about your purchase including your serial number so be ready with that if you do start a chat session.

  • Missing media from itunes purchases

I'm not sure what to do here. I have two Apple IDs and I can't remember one of them. If I search for it it only gives me the option of changing my password for the current one I do remember. I'm missing 8 seasons of a show that was linked to my Apple TV but now I don't see it there and its not on my Macbook. Any suggestions?

Select an item in iTunes: Get Info > File (tab or button)
does indicate under what ID a purchase was made.
Checking for possibly an app, movie that shows up, or podcast that was purchased/downloaded using the other ID
is a convenient place to look.

  • Lost iTunes purchased music after latest IOS upgrade

After the automatic IOS upgrade for the Apple Watch my iTunes account lost several purchased albums.  I have tried to re-download the purchased music but not successfully, I'm only able to download four of the songs and they are still not showing up in my iTunes library.

For info these are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple nor iTunes Support.
If they don't show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store app on your iPhone and iPad then check to see if they are hidden : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.
If you've moved countries since buying them, or if the rights-holder has removed them from the store, then you won't be able to redownload them. Also if the rights-holder has removed an album and replaced it with a different version then it be treated as a different album/purchase.

  • Lost Itunes Purchased music ... Can you download old purchased songs?

I just lost my entire music catalog and am trying to download my purchases that I have made with the iTunes music store. Anyone have any idea how to do this or if theres some kind of support number to call. I know you can view your purchase history on iTunes but how do you download them again if youve already paid

    Hello:
You may not want to "hold your breath", but my music library was restored free of charge by apple in less than 12 hours!
Just send them an email or contact customer support by phone (they're very helpful).
Do be sure to back up your files because they tell me they can only do this once.
Also visit an Apple store if you can, they have "genius bars" in them which feature Apple employees that will provide free technical support and answer your questions!!
See if you can get that kind of support the next time you purchase a PC from Frys...

  • New computer. Lost iTunes purchases

I bought a new computer and  I've lost my most recent downloads and can't connect my iTouch to me new computer. It isn't recognizing the device. options?

Your iTouch (or iPod, iPad, iPhone) information is associated with the iTunes Library on your old computer and your iTunes "store" account.  Those are two different things.  So, you can access apps, songs, videos, that you purchased from the Apple store by simply using the same iTunes store login on your iTouch.  However, you will need to transfer the iTunes Library from your old computer to your new computer or you will lose everything else (settings, photos, videos, etc...) from your iTouch when you attempt to sync it with iTunes on the new computer.  So, DON'T SYNC IT with the new computer until you are able to move your iTUnes library from old, to new, computer.
Apple has very good FAQ documents detailing how to transfer your library from one computer to another.  Just Google "transfer iTunes library" and the first few results will be the official Apple instructions.
    Good luck,

  • ITunes purchases download errors

I purchased the Lord of the Rings HD bundle last night, and after a few abortive attempts, the movies appear to have downloaded okay, although iTunes seems to think it downloaded the 1st movie twice; there's only the one copy in my library, though...
On a (possibly) unrelated sidenote, I cannot assign one of my custom audio equalizer presets to the 1st movie; the 2nd and 3rd movies behaved fine, but the 1st refuses to take.
It's the 'iTunes Extras' that don't want to download, no matter how many times I try them, and no matter how many times I try them after making sure I have the latest version of iTunes (I do), or quitting and restarting iTunes, or restarting the whole computer....
For the record, iTunes 11.0.1 trying to figure out whether or not I have any files that need downloading causes iTunes to freeze, while it scrunches up it's little head in fierce concentration, freezing the program for several minutes... it then (finally) decides that the last time it tried was not particularly sucessful (ch'uh!!!), it begins the download again, and all becomes right with the world.
This is not the first time I've had problems with the 'iTunes Extras' portion.
I will go as far as to say that I have more problems (i.e. failures) than I have successes, at this point.
For the record, in this instance the error messages I get are the following...
For the Fellowship and Return of the King extras, I get the error message "- stopped (error = -19)"
For the Two Towers extras, I get the error message "- stopped (error = -23)"
The download window states the the full file has downloaded, every time, but fails upon the last step, whatever that step is; i.e. the Fellowship extras file is 1.81GB, which is what downloads, then it faults...
    Anybody got any ideas...?

On an additional note, the window that pops open to tell me there were 'some problems' with several of the downloads states that I should 'check the network connection and try again...' which is what I've been doing for about 24 hours now...
Also, an album I bought just an hour or so ago has failed to download one of the tracks, and doesn't recognize that fact when I ask it to check for available downloads... making me wonder just what the **** is going on over in iTunes land...
    Too much holiday cheer...?
    Not enough...?
Well, it's getting downright frosty over here where I'm sitting...

  • How to cancel/delete itunes purchase/download

Okay so I decided to purchase a television show off iTunes, not knowing that my laptop didn't have enough memory. So it didn't finish downloading. Now I want to delete and erase the download. I tried right clicking on it and selecting "delete", but that didn't help. Every time I log in to iTunes, it attempts to download it again. I want it gone.
    help?
    * I already tried freeing up disk space on my computer *

I had the same problem. Tried deleting form "downloads" queue that lists current downloads. Couldn't right click the paused download (Windows uses right click, not sure about mac) but shows no menu. So I went to the "TV Shows" library which lets me right click the partially downloaded episode and select delete but nothing happens. After digging around in all the iTunes menu options I found that selecting the episode while in the "downloads" list and choosing "edit|delete" in the top menu bar the episode disappeared. Unfortunatly it does come back when I check for purchases but for now it's gone.

  • Old itune purchase downloads - How do i get them back

Last year i purchased an album through iTunes called "Queen - Jazz" - this purchase was on an old computer and i no longer have the content on my iPhone - How do i get this content back - is there some setting in iTunes that lets me see old purchases and then i can redownload or am i screwed and should only purchase music via a hardcopy cd?

If you're not in the habit of making backups of music purchased online, then yes, buying a hardcopy CD is probably the way to go.
This is true not only for itunes, but amazon, rhapsody, napster, walmart, and most other online stores - you purchase ONE download and are expected to back it up in case of PC problems. They pay royalties to the artists for every download, is why you don't get unlimited free downloads of a song you've bought.
Kind of like, if you lose the hardcopy CD, you have to also buy THAT again.

  • Lost Itunes purchases

Ok heres the deal. I had a laptop for a little while that i used for school. It not only had all my school work but at 11Gb of music. The monitor craps out and because of the warrenty I had and the number of times I had cashed in on that warrenty, Dell decided to send my a new one just to get out of their hair.
So I then get my new laptop and proceed to buy more music from Itunes before I am able to transfer my files from the old computer to the new (not having a monitor made this rather difficult, but we managed).
In the process it seems that my old music over-wrote my new music. All my purchases are recorded through Itunes so there is record of me buying them, but they are not in my library.
Please tell em theres a way to get this music back, If not I just blew 60 bucks on music I got to listen to for a week.

Use the form on this page to request a free redownload, or use the Transfer Purchases feature if applicable. If neither of these works, you will need to purchase the songs and other content again to get them back; Apple needs to pay the copyright holders for each download from the iTunes Store other than podcasts and album artwork.
