Missing Outages Settings in Privileges

Hello,
As I am working through configuring Service Desk for evaluation, I can't help but come across little issues that I'm unable to find answers for in the documentation or on the support site. With no maintenance for support on the product as we're just evaluating, I turn to the forums for your help.
In this case, logged in as a user in the supervisors group or with the built-in admin account, I am looking over the privileges and I can not seem to find where the Outages options went. Under the User tab, there is no "Create Outage" option. Under the System tab, there are no "Outage Options" to configure.
Maybe it is not displaying as a result of some other setting I've configured, but I'm not certain. After re-reading the docs again, I do see a note about "All Outages options apply to the Service Manager only". I'm not sure what they are referring to. Is this why I don't see those options as we're not running the fully licensed/capable version of Service Desk?
Ideas?
System: Appliance v7.0.2 / Incident Management version.
Thanks!
LK

The reason for those settings (outages) that are missing seems to be related to the two technician license we received through our open workgroup suite/zenworks maintenance, which only allows for the Incident Management portion of the software. I had seen the outages settings in the privileges before I added our two technician license. Once that was added, a number of settings/options/features were removed of course, although I wish the outages could have stayed in the basic version of Service Desk. Seems like a feature that should be there even for the Incident Management version too.

    Dear Yinyan Lu,
Please, have a look into the SAP note 767108 (IE4N: Problems due to missing notification Customizing)
    Solution
To correct this error, implement the correction instructions contained
in this note or import the relevant Support Package.
    In packages
    o  DI in Release 4.6C2
o  DIMP in Release 4.71 and higher
o  EA-APPL as of Release 4.7 Extension Set 2 and higher
notifications are created when installing and dismantling. In this case,
Customizing must be complete, otherwise errors will occur.
In DI Release 4.6C2 and DIMP Release 4.71 (and higher),
    follow the following Customizing path:
      Plant Maintenance and Customer Service
        -> Maintenance and Service Processing

    Dismantling Parts
Always maintain the notification type for installation and for
    dismantling.
Follow the following Customizing path on EA-APPL as of Release 4.7
    Extension Set 2 (and higher):

Always maintain the notification type for installation and for
    dismantling.
What must you do if you do not want to use notifications in IE4N?
    1.  You must always maintain the notification type in accordance with
        Customizing described above.
    2.  Create an individual, empty implementation for the BADI
BADI_CCM_NOTIF_GENER. To do this, proceed as follows:
    a) Execute transaction SE18.
    b) Specify BADI_CCM_NOTIF_GENER as the BADI name.
    c) Use the menu <Implementation><create> to create an individual
implementation with a corresponding name in the Z namespace.
    d) You enter the BADI Builder. Name the implementation, and then
save and activate your implementation. It is important that the
methods CREATE, FILL_CUST_DATA, MODIFY, SET_HEADER_MESSAGE, and
           PRINT_NOTIF are empty.
Note that these steps are required, since the BADI
BADI_CCM_NOTIF_GENER is equipped with a default source code that
includes the use of the notification.
As of ECC600, Note 1368876 replaces error message IEN 126 with error
message IEN 026, which is more precise.
    Caution:
o  The error message mentioned above indicates that Customizing is
missing. To correct the problem, you must perform the relevant
             Customizing settings for transaction IE4N.
o  As of ECC600, you do not have to activate the DIMP switch (this
             may not be useful).
o  For more information, see Note 1368876.
    I hope, it helps.

    Hi.
You can easily restore all of your apps, photos and podcasts.
If you activated the iCloud service before updating, your Apps will be storaged "in the cloud" and ready to be re-downloaded. Otherwise, go to App Store and choose "Updates". Here, in the top of the screen, is the "Purchased"-button. Tapping here will give you a complete list of all your downloaded Apps, ready to be re-downloaded.
As for your podcasts, plug your iPhone to your PC/Mac. Single-click your iPhone-device in the menu on the left. Once the iPhone-window appear, go to the tab-menu in the top of the screen and choose 'Podcasts'. From here you can decide which podcasts should be sync with your device.
    I hope this was helpful.
    Best regards.

  • (App) Restore Missing Quick settings

Some of you have noticed that some of the quick settings seemed to have disapeared. Samsung has released an app to restore them - Direct Link - Quick Panel Restore Samsung releases app to fix missing quick settings issue on the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge

    Hi Suesbi,
Which password are you being prompted for? The password you created as a backup to the fingerprint unlock? Or the Google password which will be asked if you get the backup password for the fingerprint unlock incorrect too many times.
If you are unaware of either password then you won't be able to unlock the phone. These are security measures put in place by Google. If you have forgotten your Google account password then you'll need to completely reset the phone which means you'll lose everything off the handset.
f this is the case I'd suggest connecting your phone to a computer and transferring everything off you want to keep and then go ahead with a hard reset via the phone buttons.

  • Retrieving Missing Sync Settings When Upgrading From an Older Version of Firefox to the latest version.

I initially set up my Sync account using an add-on for an older version of Firefox and have since upgraded to the latest version. But now my browser acts as if I don't have a sync account set up at all. When I attempt to create a new account, it says that my email address is already being used which tells me that my sync information is still on the the servers. So how do I retrieve my sync settings when settings are missing within my browser?

I resolved the problem in Snow Leopard by logging out of my (admin) account and logging into my daughter's account on the same machine. She doesn't have admin privileges, so when I tried to install Firefox 4 in her account, I had to authenticate with my admin identity and PW. Installation went smoothly after that. My guess is that you could also simply create a new account on the same machine and install Firefox 4 from that. I have no idea why this works.

  • Mail contacts calendars missing in settings after 3.0

After I upgraded to the 3.0 firmware, the mail contacts calendars section under settings is missing completely. Anyone experienced this or know of a fix short of wiping the phone?

I can confirm that what /Esnes/ suggested fixed the problem of having no Mail, Contacts, Calendars option in Settings.
I wonder what other options are m.i.a. due to apps being 'hidden' or 'tucked away' in a 'folder'? Has me curious.
Thanks, /Esnes/! No idea why contacts are sorted by Last, First by default... maddening!

  • Sent items option missing in settings

    Hi,
I'm trying to help out a friend who has been having problems with their BT Yahoo email account that was compromise a few months back.
They have gone through the suggested steps (http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/39411/) to ensure the account it now secure, but are finding that sent items are not being saved.
In the account settings, there is supposed to be a tickbox "Save a copy of the message in the Sent folder" but this is missing.
Is there any other way of activating the saving of Sent Items, or is this some sort of bug/security measure.
    Many thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I presume you are talking about webmail. If your friend has not been migrated and is still on the old BTYahoo mail, click on the cog icon in the top right hand corner and select 'Mail options'. Tick the box 'Save a copy of the message in the sent folder'. If they have been migrated to BTMail, I don't think the option exists, it automatically keeps a copy in the sent folder.

  • Half my icons are missing, including settings and safari

When i turned on my ipad the other day, most of my app icons were missing. I cant reset through settings because the settings icon is also missing. When i search for settings, nothing comes up. anyone have any ideas?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Itunes missing registry settings

Somebody please help! I've got a new ipod nano and installed itunes from the disk but got this message: "The registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning cds and dvds are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other cd burning software. Please reinstall itunes." I notice the CR-RW Drive (D:)which is called a removable storage device on My Computer is missing. Only showing HDD (C:).
I didn't have quicktime but downloaded it yesterday as I understand itunes requires it. The pre-installed CD playing / burning software I have are: RealOne Player; Sonic RecordNow; PowerCinema and Windows MediaPlayer.
Any ideas anyone? My laptop is a Packard Bell with XP Home edition and Norton internet security 2006.
    Mike

FOr some reason, this is being seen in pretty much only Packard Bell's which leads me to believe its a Packard Bell issue. Ok I am going to copy and paste what I wrote to someone else about the same issue so I dont have to retype it again.
For the most part, what's occurring is one of two things. Either...
    A) an application (such as iTunes, etc.) is installing a driver file (as a .SYS) or replacing a working driver file that is referenced within your registry. For some folks, the replaced driver is still referenced by either an UpperFilterCheck or a LowerFilterCheck, and the device manager is actually seeking out that file that, well... no longer exists. Or, when you try and uninstall the application (iTunes is the frequent transgressor) everything is removed, including the related driver files, but the registry isn't altered... so the device manager continues to try and locate that driver file... which no longer exists.
    or
    B) a virus (or trojan) burrows its way into your file structure, and creates an element of itself disguised as a .SYS file. We've seen this happen before with viral elements disguising themselves as audio or video card driver files, in the efforts of masking themselves from lower-class anti-virus programs (or un-updated ones). In this case, they take on the name of a driver file that the optical drives are "familiar" with, and so, with the intention of being "fast, friendly, and efficient", the optical drives are tapped to utilize this new "driver" file... and it gets referenced in the registry as such.
However, when your anti-virus actually snaps to it, and removes the virus / trojan, and you go off on a virus-killing mission, galavanting through the registry and cleaning the little buggers out in Safe Mode and everything... you might remove the viral elements... but... the reference to them might still remain. The device manager is still looking for that "driver file", and will cause the optical drives to lock up in a Code 39 or Code 41 because of it.
Either way, he thing to do to reclaim your optical drives is located in your registry here:
    HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE1 0318}
You'll want to have that open, and a mini-window of the following:
START -> CONTROL PANEL -> SYSTEM -> Hardware (tab) -> DEVICE MANAGER -> Offending Drive (with yellow tag by it) Right-Mouse-Click and PROPERTIES -> Driver (tab) -> DRIVER DETAILS
Notice that list. It references all the drivers that that particular drive is utilizing. There should be a single .DLL (dynamic link library) file and multiple .SYS files. It's the .SYS files we're focusing on, and they should be located in your C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\ folder stem. If you want to open a new window explorer, and go verify that each of those driver files still exists in that folder stem, you may.
At this point, compare the Driver File Detail list with the Registry Tree Location you're sitting in, and look at the UpperFilterCheck and LowerFilterCheck key values. Your offending key value will NOT be on your Driver File Detail list!!! It might be as small as "PFC" or something else, but that value is referencing to a driver file that no longer exists. Delete that offending key value. Close the registry.
Close the Driver File Details and Drive Properties windows. At this point, to finish this up, you need to Soft Uninstall (Right-mouse-click on the drive, and hit "Uninstall" ) the drive(s), let the Device Manager refresh... then hit ACTION -> Scan For Hardware Changes ...
This should start a new Found New Hardware cycle, and.... poof!... your drives should be back to normal.
Here is a microsoft article, its regarding easy cd creater, but its pretty much a similiar thing

  • Mail is completely missing from settings.

The Mail icon suddenly disappeared from my Ipad Mini.  The Mail Settings category is completely missing within the General Setting screen as well.  How don't I restore the settings?

    Hi Mikenal,
If you are having issues with your iPad's Mail application being missing from your applications as well as from Settings, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPad -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPad as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • The dvd or cd sharing is missing in settings/sharing. where can i find it?

I just bought a Macbook Air and am trying to install Office for Mac on it using my iMac. So I went to Settings/sharing/ and am looking for DVD or DC sharing box to check but it is missing. It is available on my iMac, but not on the Air. I guess I need it to install the Office disk but it is missing. Anyone knows what to do?

Have you looked in Finder on your MacBook Air?
Can you see your iMac there?  Can you get to the iMac's CD drive when you click on the iMac in Finder?
If not, try opening Finder's preferences (on your Air), click the Sidebar icon on top, and check "CDs, DVDs ...."
    Good luck.

I have an iPod Touch 4th Gen.  I just notice that "Profile" option under Settings > General is missing.  How do I add this?

I had this problem too.I know it says the problem had been solved, but it didn't help me in any way with my problem. For the people who really look for this problem i have the answer.
THERE IS NO PROFILE.THE ENROLLMENT IS JUST A COOKIE!!!!!!!!!
The profile is deleted by it's self ,is just another way to add a cookie ,for the website or app to recognize your device.
So don't search for anything. If you want to delete it go to Safari>Clear Cookies.
