Missing packages in the 11/06 Companion CD?

I received my 11/06 free Solaris 10 DVD a while ago and went to download the Companion DVD as according to this site http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/freeware/ it has the MySQL-Python module.
It doesn't and it's not available as a downloadable package on it's own. Am I just blind or is it really not there? How would I get that package for the 11/06 release?

MySQL I have, I'm using the Cool stack package. The problem is the MySQLdb python bindings module. The download from the project site fails to build, but there is supposed to be a MySQL-Python package on the Companion CD, however it's not there.

Can anyone throw any light on what appears to be a missing class from the javax.swing package?
When CelsiusConverter.java from The Swing Tutorial (code fragment shown below) is compiled the JFrame class can't be found.

This is extremely strange... If you're sure it's not a problem in your code or with your classpath, the only other thing I can think to suggest is re-downloading / installing java

Missing dependencies for the gnome-games package...

Hello everybody,
i installed the gnome-games package via Pacman. All the games have worked flawlessly from the beginning, except for the Gnome Sudoku. It refused to run. Then i started it from the terminal to watch the output, and i found out it needs libgnomeprint and libgnomeprintui libraries to run. So i installed those two packages and now it works. I dunno if this is the right place to complain about such things, but the maintainer should be notified and those dependencies added. Have a nice day!

I did actually search the bug tracker but didn't find anything. Now I realise I need to switch to "Community Packages" in the drop-down combo.

Missing packages in Software Update

Hello,
I wanted to report a problem with software update. We have multiple different T540p models here at work, some are i7s and some are i5s. We do a fresh clean install of Windows to remove all of the bloatware, then run system update to fetch all of the drivers. The i7 models pickup all of the drivers fine, while the i5 models are missing some software packages. I believe system update works by associating your machine type/id with the backend. It will then give you a list of all of the drivers/software required for your system.
The only missing package I noticed is the Hotkeys Features Integration with 8.1 . I know this can be downloaded manually but wanted to pass this along.

How to fix missing entries in the printing preferences of Adobe PDF

Hi all,
we are on Acrobat Pro 8 (8.16) as part of the CS3 Design Standard package.
A colleague of mine is missing some of the entries in the printing preferences of the Adobe PDF printer:
The Adobe PDF Security dropdown is empty and he can't set the Printer to ask him where to put the final pdf files ("Prompt for Adobe PDF filename").
I already tried repairing Acrobat - didn't help.
Has anyone some ideas what to do?

This is getting nasty:
After reinstalling Acrobat (via the add CS3 components function in "add or remove software") it wants to be activated (!?!) and doesn't accept the CS3 key any more.
So I will probably have to reinstall the whole CS3.
Is there any way to make sure that every trace of the old installation gets deleted before I start?

Missing package... it's been 2 months and still no "refund"

Sometime in late March/early April, I filed a missing package report for a pair of headphones I ordered online. Two weeks later, I called up Best Buy about the status of the order, and was told that UPS did an investigation and concluded that the package was lost.
Support told me they would credit me the amount back to my credit card in about 3-5 business days.
It's been two months. I haven't gotten a refund.
I'm not sure whether I should post my reference number here, but it seems like you guys are just stalling me. This is ridiculous. My credit card billing statement is due really soon, and I have an outstanding balance for a pair of headphones I didn't even receive.
Can someone PLEASE fix this for me? You guys have a very unprofessional, roundabout way of doing things. One of the support members I called acted as if she didn't even know what a reference number was.

Missing package metadata

Hello, I'm trying to install package-query with the command,
pacman -U http://mir.archlinux.fr/~tuxce/releases … 1.1.tar.gz
However, it installs and gives the error
missing package metadata in /var/cache/pacman/pkg/package-query-1.1.tar.gz
Then it says that that file is corrupted. I tried this for other things in the aur and it does the same thing.I'm running a base install and this is literally the first file I'm downloading, please help.

First that url is incorrect, I think you mean http://mir.archlinux.fr/~tuxce/releases … 1.1.tar.gz
Second, even the correct url just gets the source code, not a package. And I suspect anything you tried to get off the AUR was just the compressed files needed to build a package, unless you also ran makepkg to build something.

I have downloaded the latest Free Solaris 10 8/07 for x86 and retrieve the following error message:
Missing package: SUNWbcp (SunOS 4.x Binary Compatibility)
when installing Business Objects Enterprise XI Release 2 Service Pack 2. I can't locate the package on neither the CDs nor the DVD I downloaded.
Any advise would be highly appreciated.

Missing Packages for 11.2 install in Linux 9 (32 bit)

Both the Oracle installer and a tool I found say I am missing 4 packages which according to a tool I found should be on the OS install disks

Dll file is missing on installing the app-v 5.0 sequenced application

HI All,
I have sequenced a application using AppV 5.0 Sequencer. During sequencing the application is fine, I gave the PVAD as C:\Program Files (x86).
After installation of the sequenced application, on launching the shorcut it throws error that
"The program cannot start because PBVM100.dll file is missing from your computer. Try re-installing the application".
I searched for that dll file, the weird thing is the dll file is present in the ProgramFiles(x86), but still i dont why the application was throwing such an error.
If I install the source it is fine, but if I install the sequenced application it throws error.
I even tried connection groups through SCCM 2012, it is still throwing the same error.
I am out of ideas. Can anyone help me on this issue.

Hello Cody. I created a sequenced
Actuate 7 eSpreadsheet Designer 10.0.2 with Appv-5 Sp2. I published the package using the Powershell commands, but When I tested the app in this test machine the app never openned. The process eSpreadSheet.exe cosumed the 99% of the CPU and never
open the app. I performed a Devirtualization in another machine and it looks work properly, So I think it's a virtualization problem. Do you have any idea how to fix this?
Note: I created another sequence including all the DLLS detected in SystemX86 in the same directory where the exe file resides for this application C:\Program Files\Actuate7 as you suggested in the last entry but I'm still having the same problem.

have exported it then you can import it.

I am upgrading a SAP PI system from 7.0 SPS18 to 7.10 SPS8.
In the Configuration phase I get the error:
ERROR: Unable to generate package queue.
Return Code = 3, Reason = "Package SAPKA71008 : Import
prerequisites are not fulfilled"
Missing packages:
SAPKA71007 (SAP_ABA)
Check log file 'SPDA_PATCHINT.LOG' for details
However I can verify that the XML file that I specified in the upgrade
(T:\usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\SPSTab2.xml) contains the package name
SAPKA71007 and that references file name KA71007.SAR (files 1-8 are
referenced).
Any ideas why the upgrade tool seems to be unable to see the file KA71007.SAR ?

Which package is the Heltivicta font in? It's apparently missing from my computer.

The packages, xorg-fonts-100dpi and xorg-fonts-75dpi install the bitmap version of helvetica. These are probably what you're referring to as they are the core X fonts found on most GNU/Linux and BSD systems.
You should be aware however that Fontconfig disables the rendering of these fonts by default. You'll need to tweak your system settings in order to view them (otherwise substitution will occur). The easiest way to do this is to remove the offending symlink from /etc/fonts/conf.d:
$ sudo rm /etc/fonts/conf.d/29-replace-bitmap-fonts.conf
Should you ever wish to restore this rule, you can do so with:
$ sudo ln -s /etc/fonts/conf.avail/29-replace-bitmap-fonts.conf /etc/fonts/conf.d/29-replace-bitmap-fonts.conf
