Missing pages in printed document
Some topics are missing in the printed document. What could be the reason for this? I have tried and tried but could not get those pages printed.
Welcome to the RH forums.
Perhaps you could give us some additional information which would help us here. What version of RH are you using? Is the problem only in one project or on one PC? Is it the same pages that are always missing? Are they always missing from the start, middle, end? That sort of thing.
For a start, check that you have included all the required pages correctly. Check out this link. Also check to see if you have any Conditional Build Tags that could be filtering out the topics you are expecting to see.

All the Pages are Printed - Document Printing Sales Orders
When using the Document Printing option for Sales Orders, if I select multiple documents and select print I get a message after each document that says "All the Pages are Printed", then the next document comes for printing. I also get a prompt each time whether or not to print Sales Order only or Sales Order and Pick List.
I don't have the same issue if printing Invoices from Document Printing. It asks what to print and prints all records without additional prompts between each record. I don't see anything in Print Preferences that would cause the Order to act differently from the Invoice.
We are using B1 9.0 PL 06.

Missing pages when printing in Adobe Reader 9?
I'm trying to print a chapter in a PDF document using the Bookmarks Navigational Panel but whenever I print the chapter (i.e. right-click on the chapter and select Print Pages), some pages are skipped and not printed.
I have tried to re-install Adobe Reader 9, print different chapters in the PDF document, print chapters in other PDF documents, and use different machines-- but I always get the same problem. It seems that the only workaround is to use the File menu and print specific page numbers.
Is there a setting or a patch that I can apply to resolve this problem? I would really like to print chapters from the bookmarks navigational panel and not have to look up the page numbers! Thanks ! - and you are most "welcome" "lera1981" ! .........
With respect to the printing problem with Reader 9.x and your report of your experiments with Reader 9.x and with network-printing then I tend to agree with your assessment that it would seem as the problem is probably with Reader 9.x's printing capeability .
Just for the record I would like to report that my experience with network-connected office-class HP printer has been that some printing problems I've seen in the past with Adobe Reader X.xx has been rectified though the change of driver-type and/or driver-generation such as a switch from e.g. a "PCL 6" driver to a "PCL 5" driver . Last time I experienced a printing problem with a network-connected office-class HP printer I then had to change the driver to their "HP Universal Print Driver".
While I would say that you are probably right that a change of printer-driver would not make a difference in your case then the point of my writing is that Adobe Reader X.xx or (it's interaction with) Windows seems to be "printer-driver tech-sensitive" understood as that Reader printing tends to respond differently to different "driver tech" !

Missing pages when printing images
Hi,
I'm fightig against a very strange problem when printing. When drawing images with g2.drawImage often everything is ok.
But sometimes the output is incomplete - perhaps all pages after # 2 or # 7 are missing. Or no pages are missing but some images and later drawen elements of the affected pages are missing - next page will be ok.
Printing 15 pages with 1 image per page goes wrong 2 times of 12 trys.
Facts:
- image is loaded completely (from database)
- there are no ignored Exceptions
- Thread.setDefaultUncaughtExceptionHandler is used - without response, as expected
- all pages are requestet by print(Graphics g, PageFormat pf, int pi) and processed without errors
- jdk 1.4.2, 1.5.0_04, 1.5.0_06 compatible ...
- using g2.create() for the image doesn't help
- problem exists on all printers which testet and Adobe-PDF-"printer"
- increasing memory doesn't help
- it seams as doubleBuffering=off will increase correct pages before get one damaged/missing
- WinXP SP2
Any idea?
Thanks

Printed documents are missing letters on left side of page
Having problems with a printed document. The left side of the document is missing the first few letters of each line.
The option appears when you choose PRINT. You get a window with a preview of the document at the right and options on the left. Take a good look, the name might be slightly different. The options are important, get to know them.

Hey all! Some InDesign troubles here. I'm using CS5.
I have a business plan all ready to roll in InDesign; 40 pages, master pages, the works. I go to 'print booklet' so I can whisk it off to Staples to be printed coheriently, go through the dialogue boxes and everything looks good. I can see the 20 spreads, and I save it as the post script file.
Onto Acrobat Pro! I open the ps file in Pro, and it automatically converts it to a PDF as it should. But, there are only 20 pages, not 20 spreads. Half of my document is missing. Maybe I overlooked something when I was saving the ps booklet, or maybe I'm missing some display setting in Pro, but I can't figure it out!
Thanks for the help!My town (and any near) is smaller than any small printer you might be thinking of; it's a pretty rural area, and Staples makes for the best printing solution.
Not sure how to set the paper size in the postscript file; everything is greyed out. I have the document set up to be printed on reagular 8.5x11 pages (the InDesign document is set at that size), but still the postscript file spits out only half of whole 40-page doc. I turned off bleeds (not using them anyway) in hopes that that would fix it, but nothing changed. -
New owner here. I see that in printing I can select one page and print same. How do I select numerous pages from a document and print only those selected pages? I would not think that I can only select one page at a time. Thanks much
Just change the range as illustrated below. If you don't see that, click the Show Details button.

Message- Print No pages from the document were selected to be printed
I have had this application for some time, simply never used it. Last night I tried converting a PDF file to word, unsuccessfully, I might add.
Today, whilst printing a page, my printing settings appear to have been reset because when I selected Print selected page, the following message appeared:
Print
No pages from the document were selected to be printed message
How do I reconfigure my settings to preview rather than defaulting to PDF? Kindly advise. Cheers.I have only been able to print by exporting from iphoto. I have a new HP printer and there is software that supports photo printing ("HP photo smart") and I have been able to do it this way. On some occasions I have been able to use the iphoto>print>then preview before actually printing. There is a print option on the preview pane and that has worked on occasion...unsure why it doesn't work always. Please pass on any other hints, or let me know if this works for you!!

Adobe's instructions for Acrobat X Pro say that to print the document with connector lines on the same page, I should go from the menu to "Print With Comments Summary." I'm using version 10.1.7 and that option doesn't show up. My menu bar looks like this:
and my print dialog box looks like this:
And if I go to Commenting under Preferences I get this:
I don't see any of the comment printing options Adobe refers to in their instructions. Am I looking in the wrong place for the option to print comments on the same page as the document? Or is there some reason this is not available?Hey Dan,
With this call:
DAQmxErrChk ( DAQmxCreateDOChan( taskhandle, "Dev1/PFI0:7","", DAQmx_Val_ChanForAllLines ) );
You're trying to write to the PFI lines, which are part of port 1. Only the 8 lines on port 0 "Dev1/port0" support clocked/correlated DIO, port 1 only supports static/SW timed DIO (which is what you are using) and counter timer opperations. To do buffered output, check out the Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk shipping example at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples\DAQmx ANSI C\Digital\Generate Values\Cont Write Dig Port-Ext Clk
when you use this, you'll need to specify an external clock - M-Series DIO does not have its own timing engine so it has to get its clock signal from somewhere else. Most just use an onboard counter to generate a clocking signal, so the Dig-Pulse Train Cont example under counters can be combined with this.
Most of this is covered in the M-Series user manual, though I realize its not exactly lite reading
Hope this gets you started,
Andrew S

How do I print the first page of numerous documents?
Computer setup:
Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.10 on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.
User experience:
I consider myself proficient in office (Excel, Word) and software use in general (Windows XP). The extent of my Adobe Acrobat experience is creating custom dynamic stamps. I have little to no javascript programming knowledge.
Problem:
Numerous pdf files in multiple directory locations must have the first page of each document printed.
Current (and time-consuming) solution:
Copy the files to a single directory
Use Acrobat Pro to combine files and individually select the first page for each document
Combine and print.
Tools
Filename Extractor (can be used to extract the filename OR filename and path of documents)
Bonus Points
An index of all documents exists in Excel format. Documents are selected for printing by filtering this Excel index. The Excel index will have a column containing the path of each document. A solution that can utilise this path information to shortcut the time-consuming "copy and paste" method currently used will attract bonus points.
Thanks in advance,
SimonCreate a batch process the executes the following JavaScript code:
this.print({nStart:0, bUI: false, bSilent: true});
It will silently print the first page of any file you batch. Be careful not to overload your printer's queue by sending too many files in one go. -
Printing only 1 page not whole document?
When you are proofing a page, you must remember to check the page range button as it defaults to all after each page is printed. How do you change this default? We have printed many copies when we are thinking that only one page will go. We toggle between idd5 and pagemaker 7. When you print a page in pagemaker 7.0 it keeps printing that page until you select another option. We are reluctant to move up because of lack of compatability with our print devices and the ppd's. Thanks

Perhaps some knows of a script that can do this. Have you tried asking on the InDesign scripting forum?
Have you considered exporting to PDF, extracting the single pages, printing them from Acrobat or Reader? With full Acrobat, you can create a document from all open PDF files, then you can print that collection of pages from Acrobat. Another approach would be to placed the saved single-page PDFs into a new InDesign file and printing that file.
Yes, it's extra steps to create one, but if you have many singles to print, collecting them in a file would let you print as many singles as are in your assembled document in one print command.

Printing Document w/ both portrait and landscape pages
After some searching, I was able to create PDF forms with LiveCycle that had a mix of portrait and landscape content.
However, when I go to print the document from Acrobat Professional 8.0, it prints the landscape pages in portrait mode, thus cutting off the right side of the page.
When printing on computers with only Acrobat Reader, the pages all print properly. Is there a way to fix this?If you just want a page the same size as the rest of the report but with the text printed sideways, you can do that in Pages.
If you want a fold out page (2 sheets wide) then you will have to make a second document for the wider sheet and, after skipping a page in the original, manually insert it after printing.
Alternatively the material can be scaled down to fit.
Hopefully in Pages '10 we will get spreads.

When I print, a last page is printed with a summary of document printed - file name, directory, ... Just got Windows 8. Is this something I can stop? Waste of paper and ink!!
Hi RebeccaQ,
Generally speaking, a summary page, document summary or document properties page is often generated based on a setting in the software application being used as opposed to the printer driver or menu setting. For example, in MS Word you can select to print this page with each printed document. In this case, depending on your version of Word, you can enable/disable the feature often in "Word Options", "Display", "Printing Options", "Print Document Properties".
Does this help? If not, which printer model and software application is being used when the summary is printed?

My Epson photo 1280 will only print 1/2 of a page from a document in Pages program. First print was fine. Have printed out a Mac templet and printer does same thing. Cleaned heads, checked nozzels etc. Any ideas?
Hello, I have exactly the same problem. I could have written the same text. And I have'nt found solutions. Except, perhaps, change this printer (and quit HP?).
Any suggestions would be really much appreciated.
Thank you for your possible responses.
