Missing panels in Freehand

When I opened FreeHand this morning the Object panel and the
Answers panel (both part of Properties) were missing. When I choose
either in the Windows menu, I get a message that says "Could not
complete your request because an unknown command has occured" and a
blank panel pops up. I tried to delete fhprefs.txt to see if that
would reset things, but can't find it either in the location
specified in the folder specified by FreeHand or by searching my
entire computer. Aleady restarted several times. Has anyone
encountered this problem? I suppose I could reinstall, but what a
pain. Of course, I'm on a deadline.

I already tried that. The fhprefs.txt file is not in the
specified location and a search of my drives does not turn it up
either. Screen resolution is already set as high as it will go.
When I choose the Object panel in the Windows menu, I get a

Missing panel items

I just loaded LR4 on my new mac laptop and in Library mode, The "Folders" and the "Catalog" tabs are missing and in Develop mode, the "Presets" tab and "Snapshots" tab is missing. I deleted the progrm off my laptop completely and reloaded it and the same thing happened. How do I get these tabs back???

Missing panel layout

I just downloaded Flash CS5 for mac which installed without any errors. However, when I first launched the software I am getting the following error:
The following panel layout is missing or could not be read:
/users/rob/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Workspace/Essentials.xml
The application will not have a correct layout. Please load one from Windows ->Workspace
Once past this message none of the panels load. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this.

Missing panel on right

Two problems really first I don't know how but two versions of Photoshop are on my computer 14.2.1 x64 which is working fine, and 15.2.2 which all of a sudden has the right panel with layers & histogram missing. I have tried restarting, resetting the work space but no help. I am subscribed to CC so I wouldn't mind just deleting the one but it looked like it was a new version and I don't want to screw things up more, I don't have good luck when i mess around on the computer. That's why I never deleted the extra version in the first place, one version open through Lightroom and the other when opening a file from a folder. Any help would be appreciated Thanks!

In the Window list you checked Histogram and Layers and they did not appear?
Try this:
In the Options bar, way over on the extreme right is a field that looks like this:
Click on the double arrow and choose Photography. if the Histogram and Layers still do not show up it may be time to reset your Preferences.
To reset Preferences:
If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close it (Quit). Then hold down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and start Photoshop.
A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to delete the existing Preferences file (the "Settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing Preferences file will be scrapped and a new one will be created.

How do I fix somthing in Dreamweaver to be able to start it? It says it's missing panel layout.

Probably the workspace got corrupt. You need to restore your DW preferences.

Missing Panels in all three Edit Modes (Mac -- PSE 8)

Hello:
Anyone have any ideas on this? Installed PSE 8 on my MacBook tonight, and thanks to this forum I've been able to troubleshoot a couple of glitches. But this one has me stumped. When i select any of the three edit options on the right side of the screen (full, quick or guided), I don't get any of the sliders or other tools that normally appear below the edit mode. Clicking the little 'Expand Panels' or 'Collapse to Icons' triangles doesn't help. The entire section where the panels should appear remains blank. I've reset the preferences (and purged the cache) but no luck there either.

OK.
I did have PSE6 installed prior to installing PSE8 (not trial versions). After installing PSE8 I uninstalled PSE6 using the uninstall option on the CD. I didn't do anything with 'deactivate' when I uninstalled PSE6, but presumably using the CD to uninstall would take care of all the required steps. I did enter the serial number when I set up PSE8, but it sounds like it didn't register. So, I'll ininstall PSE8 using the CD uninstall option (assuming there is one, otherwise I'll use the applications uninstaller), reload, and see what happens.

Missing Panels/Pods in FM9?

New user of FrameMaker 9 (but experienced in past versions). Cannot select any panels/pods from menus, so I can't use any of their functions. The menu items are there, but clicking them results in nothing happening. The selected panel or pod does not appear on the screen. In fact, sometimes an errant keystroke will instead appear in my Frame doc (if cursor is in a text frame). When no panels/pods are visible, I can't change inset properties, can't add a marker, f catalog won't appear, etc. Sometimes a restart will reveal that the item I tried to show is now open; more often it doesn't. Deadline is upon me....
Secondary issue: Don't know if it's related, but also noticed that documents in a sized window open as a blank background (not bank document); I have to enlarge their windows to full screen in order to actually see the document, almost like a delay in opening except it never appears if I don't modify its window.
Using Windows 7 via Parallels (in Mac OSX 10.6.6).

Develop Mode: Right panel missing

I have moved from Library to Develop mode and selected an image but the right panel is totally absent. Clicking on the right panel arrow does nothing. This is a first for me. Help appreciated; I suspect it is something very simple.

I tried all of the above with no result. I should have tried rebooting before I asked but after shutting down and restarting I again came up empty. This time, however, clicking on the right arrow resurrected the missing panel. Never happened before and I have no idea why it did now but it is corrected. Thanks for the prompt response.

My Develop tab (only) is missing in LR4. I can still access it with the shortcut D. Library, Map, Book, Slideshow, etc are all still there. What could I have done? Thank you!!!!

I lost the Development Panel on right side. Only Histogram shows.

I am using LR5 and it has been working for me pretty well but today I may have accidentally clicked on something that resulted in the loss of those Development panels. Only the Histogram shows. I wish to restore all the missing panels. I was too afraid to check on various things in the Toolbar (such as Settings, View, etc) and at any rate now the Toolbar has also disappeared. In short, I cannot do any post processing of my RAW files.
I am using an Intel Mac OS X 10.7. Any help would be much appreciated.

Edit option missing from SOME photos

Several of my iPhone pictures on the camera roll do NOT have the edit option available. Most of them do, but several do not. I noticed that the pictures that do not have the edit option anymore are photos that I have already edited at least once in the past. Any idea why the edit option is all of a sudden missing from those photos, but is not missing from others?

'mising panel' in Tabbed Panel

Hi all,
I'm building a test gallery page which has a Spry Tabbed Widget with a number of tabs each containing a phatFusion multibox gizmo [for want of a better word!]. There are still some tabs to be added and more images for existing tabs [among other things].
Anyway, inserting a phatFusion multibox into each tab has proved quite straight forward. However, after inserting the latest tab [wild cats - see link below] I noticed that in the Property Inspector for the Tabbed Panel Widget, there's a warning for a missing panel which I need to remove - if only I could find it! Can anybody see it in the code?
I hadn't inserted a fifth tab but I've made an error somewhere!

I've done that and got one error:
Line 139, Column 50: Attribute "tabindex" exists, but can not be used for this element.

which refers to the first li [tab] in the ul [I'm guessing it means them all].
I have another page with a Tabbed Panel widget and that gives the same error though that page doesn't have the missing panel warning in the property inspector.
I tried removing the tabindex and its value but that was unhelpful and I still got the missing panel warning.
If I can't find it, I can always redo the whole thing - carefully.

Basic panel disappeared from Develop module. LR 5.7 Mac OS 10.10.1 Tried control clicking headers of panels that are still there. Do not get a pop up list. Can't find way to restore. What should I do?

Basic panel in the Develop model no longer appears. Started this afternoon. Been using LR 5 since it came out. No problem before today. Searched forums and did the control click on develop module headers. Check list doesn't appear. What do I do next? I did a Time machine restore but nothing changed.

I have now tried control click, command click, option click and combinations of these on 2 computers running the same lightroom versions, same Mac OS with the same result. No list of develop headers, no way to check/ uncheck.
LR on my MacBook has all the panels. On my iMac Basic and Split Toning are missing.
The only result of clicking is collapsing or expanding the individual sliders under the headers.
My only thought now is to find the preference files for LR and delete them and see if the missing panels return. Any other suggestions?

Exporting from Freehand

I work at a printing company, and we're constantly having problems getting Freehand files to rip properly. I've been able to get around this problem by exporting the Freehand files to Illustrator format, but this always causes problems with Freehand created gradients or effects (gradients become stepped out and need to be recreated most of the time).
Does anyone know of a better way to get around this issue?

Heh. I predicted that if I gave FreeHand advice on the Illustrator forum, then a certain forum habitué would get himself all in a lather. :)
The number of steps in a gradient is controlled by FreeHand's 'Printer Resolution' set in the Document panel.
FreeHand's RGB Raster Effects are designed for web images but not for press output. They do not always convert to CMYK as expected. If you must use them, then make sure File>Document Settings> Raster Effects Settings are high enough for print output, and the CMYK checkbox is checked. (Default setting is 72 ppi, suitable for web images, but not print.)
In FreeHand MX under Mac OX 10.5, there are some known issues when sending Postscript fonts to Postscript printers. One workaround is to print to a Postscript file formatted for the printer, and then drop that file into the print queue window. Alternately, you could duplicate the file, convert text to outlines, and then print.
If you require Separations Preview, print from FreeHand to a Postscript file. Then use Acrobat Pro/Distiller with 'Press Quality' settings to create a PDF. Print from Acrobat Pro.
