Missing Password

ChitlinsCC, mentions a missing password problem in a reply. I've been meaning to look into this for the last few days. I'd assume somehow my Firefox password cache got confused.
Is the auto fill password deletion somehow an ASC doing? It's bad enough that I have to work around the auto login problem. Now, must I have to type in my password everytime?   Is this a feature, a bug, a fix, or is it permanent. Please ask the powers that be for a clarification. Why cannot Jive do something useful?

Back in the Apple Desktop Bus daze, I used one of these Mouse-Traks.

I was lightning fast and could stop the spin within 20 pixels!
My partner and I repped 'em locally when ITAC was setting going - my man knew McGlaughlin - they are still "down the street" from me in Garland, TX.

After setting up my desktop Firefox, my mobile Firefox tries to sync and then reports an error of "Missing password"

I have successfully set up sync on my desktop Firefox install.
When I try to add a device:
# I enter the 3 segment code from my mobile Firefox in desktop Firefox dialog
# desktop Firefox shows "Sync Complete" dialog
# mobile Firefox shows in options view that sync status is not connected due to "Missing password"
# attempting to connect shows a dialog with
* the proper sync key (locally saved) from my desktop firefox
* a filled password field
* the correct email address

Try to clear the Firefox Data from Android Settings > Manage Applications and try again to add your device to Desktop Sync. It should work as expected.

Why i can't send any icloud mail? "Missing password" pop up, how to solve it?

I can't send any mail from icloud mail. It always "missing password" although I input the corect password. And also I have some problem with input password for apple id. The pop up for inputing password apple id always show up continiusly when I open icloud mail, icloud setting, whatsapp or skype. I have done reset network and reset setting, but i didn't work.

Do you mean the provider who give me the mail service?
Because I know for sure that with MS Outlook express I can send and recive e-mail with it

Error: Missing Password

Hi,
I am using Portal 10 g and BI 10g. I created a portal page using disocverer worksheet. Recently when I tried to click "customize", I always get this error message "Password Missing" and also unable to create a new portlet using the specific connection.
I had logged in to Enterprise Mgr, and went to the public connection property. I clicked the "edit" icon for the specific connection and saw that the password was blank so I retyped the password. But I still got the error and when I checked the connection property, my password was not saved. Does anyone know how to "save" the password so I won't get the missing password error again?

Yes, when you create the public connection you need to put the user's password, if you dont put the password the connection are ok, but when yoy try to connect throught portal this is the tipical error message: "Password Missing".
1) try to edit the Discoverer Connection properties throught EM and put the users password
2) I was the same error and I discovered that editing the password in the connection properties is OK but Portal show the same message: "Password Missing". Then, I erased the Discoverer Connection throught EM and I created a new Discoverer Connection with the users password and its works fine..

Yahoo e-mail missing password

A new I-pad for Christmas presented the following problem. The settings etc were transferred via i-tunes backup and everything was fine except that the yahoo e-mail account consistently refused to connect with an error message of password missing. Deleting and re-instating the account gave the same result. The old Ipad and a mac pro could access the account as before via the web and regular e-mail accounts. Fortunately a tech savvy son-in-law fixed the issue by using another way to setup the yahoo mail account. This seems to have been a problem with both Iphones and Ipads either when IOS upgrades have been made or with new devices.

I too have the same problem since yesterday. I am unable to acess my yahoomaill still. Please help. I already done the suggestions here but to no avail. Is this a serious problem ? Thanks.

IPhoto '11 (v9.1.3) Invite a Guest's eMail produces greyed out text, missing password

These are new issues with iPhoto '11 v 9.1.3 that I never had with the old version.
1st issue:
When I select a MobileMe Album and "Invite a Guest", the iPhoto generated eMail does not allow me to add text in the body of the eMail. I have to jam what I want to say to the intended recipients in the subject area.
To work around this, I have been sending the invitation to myself first so that I can use Mail to forward the invitation with my text added in.
My Question: Can I change the template that iPhoto uses so that I can add my personalized text in the body of the eMail?
2nd issue:
When my recipients get the eMail sent by iPhoto the body of the eMail is not as expected.
The non-MAC user recipients get a completely greyed out area where the picture showing the album has disappeared and the "http: ..." link is so light a grey that you have to look at the screen VERY closely to see it. The icon of cursor changes to a hand when held over the "http ..." text and it still works to enter the MobileMe online album. Because the display of the Username and Password is also displayed in the lightest of grey tone, you just can't see it!
The MAC user recipients seem to fare a bit better. Only the password is missing.
To work around this, I send an invitation to myself. Take the eMail and do a "Forward" to my intended recipients. Inside this eMail, I copy the "http: ..." that I can see because I'm a MAC user and retype the Username and Password to ensure that my guests will be able to access my MobileMe album.
I am thoroughly frustrated with iPhoto and with getting eMails back from my family and friends that they can't access my MobileMe online Album because they think I did not include the attachment/directions! ! ! !
My questions:
Is anybody else getting this?
Is Apple going to fix this?
Is there a work-around?
Tired for being blamed for iPhoto bug! ! !

Under iPhoto | Preferences | General & "Email photos using", I have "Mail" selected.
Whether I change this to "iPhoto" or "Mail" does not change the result iPhoto eMail from the function where I experience the problem:
From "Web | MyMobileMeName, select a MobileMe Album then "Info | Tell a Friend"
However, the "Share | eMail" IS affected by the changing the "Email Photos using" field.
Note: In my subject line, I should have said "Tell a Friend" instead of "Invite a Guest" to better identify the source of my problem.

Missing password keeper

Hi I got this problem too on my bold 9900. I upgraded from OS 7.0 to 7.1. And I noticed the password keeper is missing. Tried using the desktop software but I couldn't even find the password keeper app to tick! I'm soo frustrated! All my passwords in this life are in there,pls help me!

(Urgent) Missing Password File !

Hi Fellows,
My password file is lost and I have a offline backup of the
database but not the password file. I have restored the database
but when I start it up it says.
ORA-01991: invalid password file 'D:\Oracle\Ora81
\DATABASE\PWDsid.ORA'
if any body knows how to solve this please let me know.

Emails without content, "IMAP server not responding", missing password etc.

I'm having heavy issues with the email app on my iP4.
It started yesterday when it showed up my inbox like this:

I rebooted without success.
All of a sudden it worked again when I checked about half an hour later.
Today in the noon the same error, but it stays the same for hours now.
I rebooted, switched off and on without success.
I deleted the IMAP account, rebooted, started to create the same account. Then I am asked if I want to configure the acc. without SSL (which is not needed), I say No and save the acc.
When I want to check my emails it says that there is no password configured, so I go into settings, set it up again (and I am sure that I set it right at first setup), check email again and get the message that the IMAP server of the acc. does not respond.
This is driving me nuts. I had this issue 2 or 3 weeks ago already and restored from a backup, after that it worked ok. Last week I installed everything from scratch, it took me 2 days to reconfigure my phone for my needs.
Maybe someone has an idea before I send my phone in...
PS: This applies to several email providers. On my wife's 3GS everything works fine.

I have been the same issue on my iPhone 4 since last saturday (01:34 A.M, Paris time).
My iPhone cannot sync anymore with my gmail account using IMAP protocol ! It has been working fine on different generations et now, it just won't !
All my other accounts work just fine and it's not related to some kind of wireless operator limitation.
I have googled this and found out that people are having the same issue. I tried everything but nothing solves it !
Any bugs causing this ?

Missing password window when waking from screen saver

I've had some issues with waking from sleep once I turned on the screen saver password. I opened the lid and the screen lit up and I had the mouse pointer--but no user name/password box.
I tried opening/closing the lid a few times, plugging it in to an external monitor, etc, and no luck. I ended up having to hold the power key down until the machine turned off and then I rebooted, and I lost some work.
Is there any way to force a login screen?

I have a simple solution, go to your "Energy Savings" setting under the System Settings, once there move the slider-bar so that your screen saver is never activated. Now move the slider-bar so the system goes into "stand-by" mode after 5-10 minutes, thus once opened again, should prompt you to enter your password..?!
Please ignore the "Windows" terms. I'm a new Mac user, but this solution has seamed to work in my case, at least until a "Fix" is made.

Missing Passwords on a new 11gR2 install. Unable to sign-on.

Software installed: ORACLE 11GR2
PC: WINDOWS 7
Problems/Question:
I did not see the password/userid screen during installation. So I don't know the passwords. When I click on SQL PLUS under APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT, I get a DOS screen which asks for ENTER USERNAME and PASSWORD. I tried SYSTEM with various passwords but didn't work. By the way, I don't see i SQL Plus anywhere.
Details: I installed only the database version on my pc. I received installed successfully message. I see the following products installed:
APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT
CONFIGURATION AND MANAGEMENT TOOL
INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT TOOLS
ORACLE INSTALLATION PRODUCTS
WAREHOUSE BUILDER

ICloud Keychain - Suddenly Missing Passwords

Hi guys,
I've been using Yosemite and finally decided to take full advantage of iCloud keychain and Safari Autofill. So I've been saving my login details and different usernames for websites everywhere and it's been great. Until a few days ago. Suddenly Safari doesn't remember any of them it seems. If I go to "usernames and passwords" or whatever in Safari's settings there is now nothing listed? I didn't upgrade anything or change any setting that should have effected or deleted these things? I've also went into my Keychain Access app and I'm not finding passwords there either. Any idea what could have caused this? I haven't upgraded my phone or changed settings there either?
Any ways to get them back you think? I don't have a backup recent enough as I've just started doing this a couple weeks ago.

Back up all data. Open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device. Test.

Need missing password to reset missing password

I seem to be stuck in a classic Catch 22. My sister has given me her new Mac book running Snow Leopard. Unfortunately, she cannot remember her password. I have followed the instructions for re-setting the password:
Insert OSX disk
Utilities
Re-start etc
However, when I get to restart up pops a box asking for the forgotten password, which of course if I knew, I wouldn't be trying to re-set it in the first place!
Has anyone encountered this problem and if so is there a way around it?

you insert the disk and reboot normally from the apple menu. hold "c" at the chime. this will boot you directly into the installer. no passwords required. once you are booted into the installer start the reset password utility from Utilities menu.
but i would recommend that at that point you wipe the hard drive and reinstall the OS rather than simply resetting the password. this will give you a clean system which will be entirely yours to control and you'll know exactly what's on it or not. you can erase the drive using disk utility (it's also in the Utilities menu) while booted from the install DVD.
I get as far as utilities, hitting re-start and up comes a box asking for the password.

Missing password message yahoo mail and Iphone after Icloud restore

I have deleted my yahoo account from the phone and rebooted and added account back and I am still having this issue. It started when I was switching from on Iphone to another and then restored from Icloud. Everything was working fine prior to this on the old phone.

If this is your iCloud email account, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Mail off, then turn it on again.
If it's a different email account, delete the account and recreate it again.
